Notes from Home
Miso has integrated relatively smoothly into his furrever home. He's playful, cuddly, and likes to groom Diala, his big "sister". While the two of them fight occasionally and roll around on the floor, they later will cuddle up near each other or chase each other around the house. They are both doing very well and seem very happy, often sitting next to each other on the window sill to watch the birds and squirrels. Miso is either hard-headed or slow, but he sure does like to scavenge for food on our plates and if he gets a hold of something, he'll drag it away into a corner and growl at any passersby. But otherwise, he's pretty good and likes to wake us up at 5:30 am with a paw to the face:)
10/21/14- While Miso and Diala rumble every now and then (the latest squirmish resulted in a slightly bloody ear for Miso), they find time to cuddle still! They are fat and happy and make us laugh every day with their very distinct personalities.

COLLEEN
If you're looking for a great balance between independence and loving, playing and snuggling, seriousness and humor, then I'm your gal. I'd like to be the one and only and I promise to keep you entertained with my silly antics, my playful nature, and my good spirits, but when it's time for settling down and getting some pets, I'm all about that too!

Notes from Home
David. Miss Colleen is a hoot. She loves to play and run, run, run up and down the stairs and through the hallways. Her favorite toys are a feathered bird on a string, laser pointer and a tiny chirping parrot. She likes the venison food, has perfect litter box habits, she only scratches on her scratching posts and boxes. She is neat and clean. She gets along well with mom and everyone that comes to visit. She is a love to be around and we believe she loves us too. We are keeping her name since she was used to it when she came to us. She seemed to like her name and we felt it suits her. She has 4 different cat beds. The one she came with and three from the previous kitty that passed. She uses all of them without preference and she even slept with mom one night. We all feel lucky to have her as part of our lives. Debbie.

COCO
I'll admit it - I am not purrfect. Sure I look like a confident guy but deep down I'm not very secure. Yeah I don't accept change well, but once I'm secure I settle down.
Okay so I'm a bit hand shy, I'm a tad bit of a recluse. But hey I lived with the same family for 8 years when the landlord said "he's gotta go" and found myself in a shelter. That's enough to scare any guy.
One thing I am is loyal. I adore sitting on the arm of the sofa and gazing at Foster M. I especially enjoy laying by the woodstove vent (I'm in New Hampsha....in the winter. Gotta love those woodstove vents).
I'll stick by you if you stick by me. Isn't that what it's all about? My other family didn't stick by me. I hope my new family will.

Notes from Home
Nearly 7 years ago I adopted Coco, an adult Siamese who was terrified of pretty much everything and would never allow anyone to hold him in their arms. We gave Coco a good life- healthy food, daily exercise, and a quiet home. Earlier this year however, Coco's kidney's started failing, and compounded with his age and other issues there was no hope of recovery. On September 16th we drove Coco around the neighborhood. He really enjoyed that, especially since he couldn't get around much anymore and hadn't had the energy to hop up to the house windows in months. After the sunset drive we brought him to Melrose Animal Clinic, where Dr. Low gave him a very peaceful sendoff in our arms- arms he had eventually learned to long for.

JOSIE
Video coming soon!
Josie is a BEAUTIFULLY marked seal snowshoe gal looking for a new home. She is a two years old and at 7.5 lbs is fully grown. Josie was given up by owners who could no longer care for her but who clearly loved her enough to make sure she was safely placed.. Josie is friendly, loves to be petted, purrs up a storm and loves to play with toys.
In isolation right now so not sure about other cats or dog friendliness but for as far as people....she loves them!
Stay tuned for updates~
Purrs, Josie

Notes from Home
Josie says Meer-aw! She is currently busy watching birds from the window ledge. She is a healthy girl - now 9lbs of cuteness. She is quite the social butterfly and very chatty. We refer to her as Meeowzers, She insists on chin rubs and brushing. We adore her - so much so that we got her a drinking fountain type water bow. She prefers to drink from the bathroom faucets and will beg incessantly if ignored - the new water bowl seems to satisfy her for now......
Her favorite blanket is the Steeler fleece! She talks to us all the time. She has tried very hard to train us to open the basement door because apparently the cat door is not her preferred entrance/exit. She is quite the personality and everyone who meets her instantly loves her!
We are truly grateful to all the volunteers at Siamese Cat rescue for such a good match and forever home.
6 month update;
Well.....Josie (or pretty paws - she has several nicknames) is doing quite well. Currently her favorite new toys are a paper bag and cardboard box and foil ball. Who needs expensive cat toys.....LOL! She is very vocal most mornings at 7 am....about her food dish regardless if it's empty or not. She has been a cuddle bug since the weather is cooler. She loves the fleece blankets. She is very nosy...which is good because she caught a mouse! She brought it upstairs to show us and let it go to chase it....around the dining room and living room. We had to catch and remove it....ick. But we were very proud of her! She has been a great addition to our home. She is chatty and makes her presence known and must know were we are in the house...she is too much fun! She greets us at the door - unless she napping :)
We love her dearly!

CINNAMON
**NEW PICS** Foster mom says that if you don't hurry up and adopt me, that she'll have to keep me herself, and she doesn't want 7 cats. But I say, 7 is the perfect number. Last night she told me that she wasn't going to get any sleep at all if I didn't stop purring. I give her little eye kisses in the middle of the night just so she knows that I am so very happy to have a nice warm place to stay. I feel so much better now than the day I arrived. No meezer yeowl here, but I do talk a lot.

Notes from Home
Cinnamon is the friendliest cat ever, whether to a repairman in the house or at the vet! He is purring so loudly right now (on the back of the couch behind my head) that I can barely hear anything else. He still has a sneezing and hacking issue, but we’ve just learned to live with it. His favorite toys are balls that he chases down the hall, and the red laser dot that he chases in circles around the kitchen floor.

NUTMEG
**NEW PICS ** I'm full of life and sometimes I even stop playing long enough to get kisses and bellie rubs. I'm simply adorable, don't you think? I have splashes of color in my coat so foster mom thinks that as I get older you are going to see my tortie side. I came in with my brother and sister, Tsali and Kira. Here Kira, sit here so I can stand on your head to I can reach that bungi mouse!

Notes from Home
Nutmeg is still super-affectionate to the four of us, and rather shy around anyone else, though she does occasionally honor a guest with a lick. We are currently fighting over who gets to sleep with her – I count on her fuzziness and purring to lull me to sleep. Her favorite toys are furry mice with leather tails that she immediately chews off, and the red laser dot that she chases down the hall and up the wall.

SOPHIA
You are not going to believe what a great cat I am! So I'm not even going to tell you, I'm going to make you watch my video! (Oh, okay, I'll tell you just a little bit. I am SUPER loving and SUPER adoring and SUPER SUPER!) And I have extra toes, which makes me extra adorable!

Notes from Home
I just wanted to take a minute to say hello and say Thank You. Sophia has been home for 3mths now and I honestly couldn't be happier. When she first got here she was a little hesitant but still very friendly. I was glad to have a beautiful and friendly cat to come home to.
As time went on she was less hesitant and has really become queen of her castle. I spoil her rotten because I love her and she loves me right back. At first I felt guilty leaving her at home alone because I work long hours but we have settled into a routine that I think makes both of us happy. She watches me get ready for work and sits by the door to see me off. When I come home she is sitting by the door and starts talking to me as she hears me fussing with the keys to open the door. I haven't ever know a cat to be so "talkative". What's crazy it's that I talk to her and she keeps taking her turn talking back! She's just a ham. She throws herself on the floor exposing her belly and wiggles around like a baby so I can pet her. Again...I've never seen this behavior in cats. It really is the cutest thing. If I sit on the couch, I'm not there 2 minutes when she comes and jumps right on my lap. Bedtime however, is my absolute favorite. Each night Sophia waits for me to settle in and she comes and gets in the bed with me. You'd think it would be enough that she lays on her little blanket...not Princess Sophia! She comes right up to me and settles next to me and does not like that I text in bed. She starts pushing her little face under my hands...even aggressively so that I scratch her head. She will not be ignored. So I scratch her little head and when she has had enough she will settle her big cute paws on the crook of my arm and stares at me while she purrs until lights out. Other nights she attempts to groom me! That's definitely not my favorite! But she's not annoying with it. She'll stop after a few attempts.
I could go on about all the little things that she does that make me laugh and make me love her, but I'll stop there. I just wanted to let you guys know that I was lonely and depressed when I went looking to adopt from you. Believe me, I am no longer lonely and certainly not depressed. Adopting her has really added to my life, but the joy that she brings me exceeds any expectations I had.
So thanks again....
