TUCKER
Hello bright, shiny world!

Tucker here, feeling alittle bit better but still have a bit of the sniffles, "rats" to those summer colds!

Foster meowme's posted new pics of me and you'll notice a theme in them......I'm either in her lap, coming to climb in her lap, in her face, or trying to get in her face. MEOW-HOW! that's me! the quintessential, young, red point loverboy. There's nothing I want more than to snuggle in someone's arms, give kitty kisses and headbutt all day long.

Looking for a lap-warming , headbutting, purring machine? then I'm your boy!! Ask foster mom Jan about me!

Tucker is going strong and very healthy, even with the Addison's Disease. He is loving gift from God. He is a miracle cat according to the veterinarians and the experts.
12/2014 Tucker is still doing well, except for a few extra pounds. His Addisons disease is still under control with his medication. The medication keeps him alive and well, but does put on the pounds. The veterinarians are still amazed at how well he is doing. He just wanted to say Merry Christmas and thanks to all who were involved with adoption 7 years ago. And I promised him I would upload some of his photos.

MORWENNA
From the beginning I've been a total love machine - purring, rubbing and kneading. So much that Foster Mom has had a really hard time getting a good picture of me - I don't want to pose, I want attention ! I came in with Abbie (VA3317) which means I can get along with other cats. We don't appear to be bonded so Foster Mom feels we're fine to go our separate ways. Since I'm still in my isolation period, there's lots she still doesn't know, but so far no issues. I'm eating, playing and loving. I'm beautiful from the tip of my nose to the kink at the tip of my tail ! I probably won't be around here for long, so if you'd like more info, be sure to click on the 'Ask About Me' Purrs, Chyna

Sad news. Morwenna was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer ( lymphoma). She is getting weekly chemotherapy treatments and is doing well so far. We will take it one day (week) at a time. Please keep my sweet girl in your thoughts.

9/18/14 Good news! Morwenna has finished 10 weeks of chemotherapy and just had an ultrasound to check her status. It appears she is in remission. Her stomach and lymph nodes look normal and there is no evidence of disease. The oncologist is very happy with her progress and says she looks great. Morwenna is doing really well, has a great appetite and seems happy. She will continue with chemo every two weeks for another couple of months. We will keep our fingers crossed that she continues to do well. Please keep thinking good thoughts for her.

12/19/14 I am sorry to tell everyone that Morwenna passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. Her lymphoma had returned and she was not doing well. She was put on a different chemo protocol, but it didn't seem to be helping. She had stopped eating and drinking and was very sad. I miss my sweet girl terribly, but now she is at peace.

ARAGON
LAP CAT ALERT! LAP CAT ALERT! LAP CAT ALERT!

Foster Mom says I am blossoming right before her eyes. For the first few days I was nervous and shy but now that I know the lay of the land I am showing Foster Mom was a super sweet and friendly guy I am. I just LOVE to sit in her lap and I always greet her at the door and talk to her about my dream of finding my forever home. Do you think you can be the answer to my dreams?

Happy Holidays to all my Meezer friends!

I just wanted to let you know that I am doing great in my new home in Pennsylvania. I adore my older sister Cici, I follow her everywhere. She is showing me the ropes here and teaching me important things like how to play in the sink, how to help wrapping presents and how to wear the latest fashions. I think she may have even bought me a Christmas present! Cici and Oskar (the Non Siamese of the household) always sleep with my mom and take turns napping on her lap. Life is good!

To all of the Meezer volunteers that helped me to get where I am, I want to Thank you from the bottom of my furry little heart.!

CALI
I've always been in a home, always been on my own, and always loved my person- but now I find myself here and I'm not so keen on the change. Once I get home, yup, I'll revert to who I was, but at this time, being a smart and savvy Siamese female, I'm a little irked.....

Notes from Home
Cali, Amy and I arrived home late on a Saturday evening, after a long drive up from Delaware. We placed Cali’s carrier in a quiet corner, fully expecting her to need an adjustment period. Of course Cali had other plans. She immediately ran out of the carrier, did 3 laps around my smallish NYC apartment and then jumped right into my lap! So she basically settled in that first night, and has been a wonderful companion ever since.

She’s a loud purrer and makes a lot of really cute vocalizations, especially before she leaps. She's so sweet & affectionate and loves to play - especially with toy mice (she tosses them by the tail with her mouth, then bats them across the room), da-bird and paper bags! She "guards" me when I'm on the computer, and sometimes jumps right into my lap (always am announcement trill 1st though).

We are very happy together, and are thankful to all the selfless volunteers at Siamese Rescue.

Notes from Home
Ruby is still doing very well! She has become a lot more outgoing and much less skiddish when she hears new things. She is still a tiny bit afraid of the noises that the dishwasher, clothes washer and keurig make - haha, too funny.
She was given quite a lot of toys and treats from friends and family at Christmas, but her favorite is still the fluffy brown mouse that makes it way into the bed more often than not. She finally sits with me on the sofa and continues to sleep with me every night. She uses the litter box A LOT, but I assume that is all well and good. Ruby had to take a visit to the vet at 7am on Christmas Eve due to a rodents ulcer that developed. The vet told her "you're a wiggle worm", but she did well when she was given her steroid shot. The ulcer is pretty much gone. I have gotten her brand new stainless steel bowls (per the vets recommendation). Her nightly routine is still the same - wake up around 3 or 4 or 5am and go crazy - running all around, scratching at my head board. Thank goodness her TALL scratching post gets delivered today. Fingers crossed she loves it and no longer feels the need to scratch at my bed. When she was at the vet she weighed 11.2 pounds!! I hope I am not making her chubby :o)

Update 1.27/14 - I realized that I accidentally deleted Ruby's first 'update entry' - so sorry about that! Ruby is still doing great! She is still loving her scratching post, still loving to play with a toy that is the "stick/string" combo. Her favorite one has a mini mouse on the end of a wire type string..she goes crazy for it! She learned how to jump up on the counters - uh oh. She also learned I stored her extra food in a cabinet and how to get into the cabinet to try to tear through the bag! The bag of food was quickly moved to the laundry room. I had to go away to Boston for work so my mom took care of her while I was away. Ruby was never shy - she loved to play and purr and snuggle up. She greets me at the door every evening and sleeps with me every night. I can now tell she scratches at my headboard to try to wake me up to feed her. I've found if I play with her for a bit before bed time she will sleep through the night. New pictures uploaded!

12.15.14 - Ruby is still doing great! She is super social and always friendly when I have visitors over. She gained a little bit of weight after she was first adopted, but that has come off since switching her to grain free wet food at night and an automatic feeder in the morning. Shes still food OBSESSED, so I make sure to give her a few treats in the morning before I leave for work. We moved in July and our new apartment has windows with deep windowsills that Ruby loves to sit on and watch the outside world. She loves catnip toys, sleeping against me - always in the middle of the bed, and has become my shadow. Everyone that meets her, loves her. Everything is still going great!!

Lola, now know as Maxi is fine. Sweet, gentle and full of mischief. Friendly, greets our guests and plays with her turbo scratcher with our two granddaughters. It's a sight to see them all knock the ball to each other. Cuddles & sleeps with both my husband and myself and as it got colder, now snuggles under the blanket. We now appreciate the detailed vetting process everyone goes through. Thank you so much for the great match and this great kittie.
One question, she really dislikes a lot of the canned food and loves the hard food which I am trying to limit. She has gained two pounds since we have her (now close to 11 lbs) and is a handful to pick up. Any suggestions on what to feed her that will curtail the weight gain but that she might like?

Sassy is doing wonderful. Keeping all my other cats in line. She has us well trained her staff must be top notch. She loves playing in the sink see picture and she has broken one of the cat trees using it as a springboard to the top of the hutch.
12/13/12 - Wow how time slips away. I love my home it would be nicer without the other cats but I get special alone time with mom. I sleep on top or beside her every night. Mom brushes me when she brushes her hair.
It took a long time before I could trust anyone. I just hated to give my heart away and have it broke again. After 4 years I figure she will be mine fur ever. Sassy has a strange health issue that might help someone else. I thought she had a piece of litter stuck in her nose but when the vet tried to remove it was a paullip. It comes back about once a year it swells and makes her sneeze really bad and we take a trip to the vet and a steroid shot and she is fine for another year really weird.
Thanks again for helping me find Sassy she is one of six cats that live with me but she is one of a kind.
12/15/14 Sassy is still living up to her name. She is a bundle of joy and still does not care for the other cats.
And she survived a trip to Florida and back. She and the other cats got to see their new home. Hoping to move by April.
I picked this house for the cat friendly design and the screened in room next to the sun room. Sass and the cats just loved it. I work to make life worth living for my cats. My husband has a (dog) and this house allows the cats to circle around and not be bothered with the (dog).

Notes from Home
Miko has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is now in charge. I had hoped for an affectionate lap cat. Siamese Cat Rescue told me Miko definitely fit the bill and they were absolutely right. In the evening she curls up in my lap and takes a nice long nap.
She has a favorite "mouse" she plays with. Of course sometimes playtime is when we go to bed. Many times I find the mouse in bed in the morning. She lets me know whenever she wants to play. She talks to me with the mouse in her mouth. She won't take no for an answer. That mouse travels upstairs and down.

Miko is quite a talker. I love that she lets me know when she wants something - food, playtime or affection. Everyone who has met Miko tells me she is a beautiful cat and she is!

December 14, 2014: I can't believe it has been a year since I adopted Miko. We have had a wonderful year. If it's possible she is even more loving than before. She has trained us well. She now has a favorite blanket right on the table in the kitchen. It is her spot. I don't dare remove the blanket unless I have to change the tablecloth. She monitors all the activity in the family room and the kitchen from there. She also expects to be petted by anyone who walks by. It's a perfect location from which to monitor her "subjects" and her "kingdom". When she is not there she is in my lap!

GEORGINA
Hi There!

I am looking for a home where I can be the one and only. After all, if you have me, that is all you need!

I will love on you, cuddle with you, and follow you wherever you go around the house. I like to play with those small toys that I can bat around.

I do love the kibble but who doesn't??

Are you the one for me?

Notes from Home
Well, yesterday was one month with Georgina at our home. She has done very well, here with us so far. I attempted to take her to the Vet six days after she arrived at our house. Well,, she was having no part of that and had a little bit of an attitude with us for a few days. We've learned that when she's really upset with us, she'll put her bum towards us, as she's laying down. I would try to talk to her, while she's under the bed and she'd look me in the eye and then put her bum in my face. Guess she was telling me huh?

Now, however, she seems to have forgiven us completely. She spends very little time under the bed anymore, and her favorite pass time is watching the birds and squirrels thru the patio door windows in our family room. She sleeps between my legs at night and will try to do that to my hubby, but she gets frustrated with him. (He moves around way to much).

Georgina met our daughter when she came home for Thanksgiving and they seem to get along just fine. Georgina is a bit upset that I've put her on a diet. I've changed her food from dry to wet. She is currently having 1 can of wet cat food (5.5 oz) daily and maybe 2 tablespoons of the dry. She's so funny with her running down the hallway towards her feeding area. The minute she thinks any of us is headed that way she bolts in that direction. She's always asking for something to eat, never seen a cat so focused on food.

We also have learned that she loves to chase lasers. My hubby spends time with her every evening playing with her. She knows the sound of the "click" on the laser gun and she runs to the person who has it. She'll spin in circles until she gets dizzy, if we'd let her. It's so cute to watch her have fun, I truly believe that she's not had this much fun in a long time.

Our first month together is down and I hope and pray the next we see Georgina open up even more here. I can't say thank you enough to The Siamese Cat Rescue Volunteers who helped take care of Georgina. Those who helped match us together, you right on target, she's my buddy and I love her dearly.

I'll update on what Georgina thinks of Christmas trees, as ours will go up this week. Guess that's all for now, updates will be forthcoming soon.
