MAGGIE MAY
Foster meowm has patiently explained to me that I will not get a new home for Christmas, but I could get my furever home by New Year's! Wouldn't that be great!?!?

I purr a lot, and headbutt, and purr. I like to be close to you and foster meowm says I'm a chatty cat. I just don't like this closed door system we have going here. I want to be FREE! I want to follow her and let her know how I'm doing, and get any loving she may have time to give. I'm not asking for too much, am I?

If you think you can carry on a conversation with me, and you like cats who are in your face to get loving, then you should really ask about me. Foster meowm says with a personality like mine, I won't last long!

Notes from Home
Maggie May has been with us for 2 weeks now. She is a very confident little girl. She sleeps with us every night. She's eatting well & seems very very happy. She still has not won over 2 of her new brothers but we are working on that. She seems unphased by the dog. She follows me everywhere & needs to be petted. We love her so much. Thank you Siamese Rescue for letting us adopt such a wonderful cat.
2/15/11
Maggie is HOME! She is very very happy here. She chases her new brothers but does not mess with the queen of the house Sassy (flame point geezer). She has never hidden & seems to want to be with us all the time. She's quite a talker & waits for me everyday in the bathroom when I take my shower. She purrs purrs & purrs. We are so in love with this little girl!
3/9/11
Maggie is reallly coming out of her shell. She is playing a bunch & giving her brothers a run for their money. She is very active, eating well etc. She is busy busy busy. We just love her so much. She is a Mama's girl (YEAH!). I will try to post some pictures soon but she moves too fast for me to get any good shots.
3/21/11
Maggie continues being loved by her Mom. She comes running to be petted when I come home from work. She sits with me in my recliner & loves being petted. She has won over 2 of her brothers(only 1 to go). We love love love her!
7/15/11
It's hard to believe we have had Maggie May 6 months already. She is just such a nice cat. We love love love her. She is doing wonderfully. She is a little shy with strangers but is really coming out of her shell. She loves the cardboard scratcher & her catnip toys. I so thank everyone involved with her rescue & hope to adopt again from SCRC!
Maggie May continues to be a Mama's girl. She's such a sweet sweet girl. We are very glad she came to us. This is her first Christmas with us & hopefully many many more to come.
1/15/12
Today we have had Maggie May a year. Wow how time flys by. She is a wonderful little girl & continues to do great in our household. She sleeps with us every night. She has also decided petting is a great thing. She plays more now that she has a little brother. At first she wasn't too thrilled with him but he has won her over. We cannot imagine our lives without her. Thanks again to Siamese Rescue & all involved for allowing this sweet girl to be part of our household. We love love love her!
1/15/13
Two years ago today we picked up our wonderful little snowshoe girl. She is doing so so well. She's a great cat. I could not have asked for a better little girl. Our life is so much better since we got her. She plays well and still sleeps with us every night. She had her Vet exam in Sept and she was a hit there too. She now has a new little sister and has been great with her. We love love love her. We want to thank again all involved in her rescue. We can say enough good things about her. She is also the reason I have gotten involved again with SCRC as a volunteer.
1/15/14 Three years ago this wonderful little girl entered our life. She is such a little purr bucket. She comes running when I come home from work. So cute. Its hard to believe we have had her so long already. She is a smart smart girl. She knows her name and knows if she is doing bad! LOL. I want to thank everyone again for rescueing this great cat and letting us adopt her. Yes we do love her.
1/15/15 Wow where has 4 years gone. Maggie continues to be a great little girl. She and her brother OC are now best buds. She still comes running into the kitchen when I come home from work. We are just so in love with her. She loves her wet food and cleans her bowl. I just cannot imagine our life without her.
2/10/15 Sadly we had to put our girl to sleep. She had a lung tumor. 4 years was not enough time with her. RIP sweet girl we will always love you.

HANNAH
Very sweet, healthy, loving cat and she's ready to go!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Today Hannah had her first vet visit w/ her new DVM. Hannah seems very content and happy both with her new home and her new vet. Fingers crossed that integration w/ Leo on Aug 1st goes well.

11/2014 Hannah and Leo are buddies and share everything, investigations, naps, cuddletime, naptime, bathtime, playtime (like two Tasmanian devils), meals, litterboxes, and alarm clocks (waking up everyone, eventhough they have food in their dishes).

12/28/2014
Hannah and Leo are very helpful with the holiday decorations and gifts.

1/28/2015 New year = new collars and bells (pics will be posted soon).

Marzi is settling into the household very nicely. Almost got a picture of her nose-to-nose with Mickey, my VASC snowshoe, but one of my dogs got in the way. She and Mickey aren't quite snuggling buddies yet, but they are definitely at the sniffing each other stage. Marzi and my dogs also are doing well. She is really a delight -- sweet and playful. The other morning I woke up to the sound of purring and the feeling of having my shoulder kneaded.

MITTENS
Sweet, tiny snowshoe baby. She needs time to grow as she is only 4 weeks old at this time. If all goes well, she'll be ready around Dec 15th, just in time for Christmas.

More as she develops.

Hi Jeanne, David, Siri-

Wanted to take a few minutes to provide you with an overdue update on Lucia, f/k/a Mittens...

She had a little cough by the time we got her home that Saturday night and it continued through Monday so we took her to the vet and were told it was an upper respiratory infection. After an antibiotic shot and some quiet time alone in the guest room we took her back to the vet where she was pronounced healthy. At that point we decided to start formally introducing her to Julian. They had been sitting on opposite sides of the door talking to each other for days and days... Very quickly they became familiar/friendly with each other. Although he is twice her size and age she chases him around as much as he chases her. They play and nap together and he is teaching her all kinds of things like how to clean his ears :)

Her favorite game is chasing little sponge balls around and in the morning we find that she has usually brought 4 or 5 upstairs to the bedroom. A close second is that she loves to climb up/on/over Jeff. Many times she will
balance or snuggle on his shoulder until he puts her down.

We think she is doing absolutely fantastic here in her forever home and while we are so very happy to have her, equally important, we think she is very happy here.

Thanks again Jeanne, you did wonders with this perfect little ball of energy and we have given her plenty of belly kisses for you :)

Will upload too many pix so you can see how she is growing.

VIVIENNE
I would say she is more a Ragdoll.. She is such a sweet little girl. She is still a kitten at about nine months and just a loving girl.

My story: I was pretty much dumped off at an abuse center,. Was my owner staying there? No I think it was just a place that was easy to leave me. There were two feral cats there and they didn't really like me. On top of that I was pregnant and loaded with those terribly itchy fleas. Can you just imagine how hard that was and I didn't get a lot of the food there.

This wonderful Rescue Angel found me and they could see I was not a feral cat and they swooped me up and they even got the ferals their surgery. They got rid of those itchy fleas and showed me life could be good again. My hair was thin but it has come back and I am healthy and very ready for my forever home. Foster mom put up a video of me. Hard to get because I just wanted affection not video. You can see how beautiful I am. Don't you want me to be part of your family? Vivienne

We love our little Vivienne. We are so happy to have her as part of our family.
We are almost at 2 months! She is such a special, sweet girl. She and Boo are friends now!! They love to chase each other and play. Here is a picture I took this past week of the two of them.
We are almost at 5 months. She is a precious kitty. She likes to stand on her hind legs and nuzzle my nose. It is so cute! She and Boo have so much fun together and are such precious additions to our family.

Are you looking for a little "fluff" for the Holiday Season? Well...here I am...all 2 1/4 pounds of me! I'm a little quiet & just sitting back until I get a little more comfy with my foster mom, but it won't take me too long.

Stay tuned for updates!

PATRICK
I have a fever mask from being sick and am still recuperating and trying to get my strength and weight back. I'm eating well and using my litter box as I should. I love the soft bed and all the attention. Maybe pretty soon I'll be able to start looking for a forever home once I'm back on track health wise and Meowmy knows what is going on with me.

Patrick has settled in like he's always lived here. He is so sweet and loving, and though declawed, can hold his own when needed if the others get too rambunctious. he is gaining much needed weight and doesn't look or feel so emaciated any more. My vet said "He's a keeper!"

I am so grateful to the intake evaluator, Cheryl, for rescuing him (and his brother, Brink) and keeping them safe until we had foster space for him.

BACALL
Wow! We're really starting to find ourselves now. I'm learning to take charge around here, and that means not taking anything from the big cats! Tiny package, but I pack a wallop! I'm becoming more comfortable with peoples every day (still not a lap sitter though)! I do like the occasional pets, and I'll even purr for you from time to time. If I feel like it of course. Foster dad says we're really starting to show some assertiveness. I dunno. I just like to play. A lot. Very rambunctiously. And with my brother of course. We romp day and night. We're still looking for a permament home together! Got a warm spot in your house (and your heart) for us?

Til next time,
Kia

Notes from Home
Kona (now Bogey) and Kia (now Bacall) are healthy and doing well although Bacall apparently has hereditary dental problems that have caused 5 teeth to be extracted. Consequently she is eating mostly canned food and has lost some weight. She is now between 9 and 10 pounds. On the otherhand, Bogey is about 14 pounds.

Both love watching the birds and squirrels out the window and from the screened in porch when the weather is not too cold.

Bogey is very kind to our older cat, Woodie, who is almost 18 years old. She was adopted from Siamese Rescue in 2000 (originally named Beiging).

Bogey has become a lap cat who shares my lap with Woodie when we are watching television.

Bacall really enjoyed watching the Kitty Bowl II that was shown in conjunction with the Superbowl.

TESSA
Hi there, I'm Tessa. Meowmy thought that would be a good name for me, as she said she bets I was a Contessa in my youger days. She thought she'd found me the perfect forever home, but that wasn't to be, so now we're looking again. I don't ever want to be outside or in a shelter ever again!

I love the company of another laid back kitty, and like to play with wand toys with her. I don't even mind the dog that lives here. Check out my pictures and copy and past this link to see my video.

Notes from Home
It's been 10 days since we brought Tessa home, and what a great 10 days! After spending the first hour under our bed, she came out and jumped right into our hearts. Once she checked out all the "Molly smells" (our other cat) in our bedroom, bath, and closet, she made herself right at home and has been sleeping on our bed (and sometimes on our heads or chests) since that first night.

Tessa hasn't become a lap cat yet, but is a champion headbutter, purrer, leg-rubber, and loves to be petted and scratched. We're constantly amazed at how trusting she is after only being with us for such a short time. She has perfect manners re: her litterbox, and the cutest soft Siamese meow (a shock to us - our other Siamese is a loud-talker). Every day she talks to us more, and when we come home from work and go up to the bedroom, to be with her, she comes running from her favorite napping place (my winter-socks bin in our closet) when we call her.

On Tues., she passed her vet check with flying colors and was really on her best & cutest behavior there - she even ate the treats they gave her. I think Dr. Herr was going to be her new best friend until itwas time for the bloodwork :-(

Last night we did the big swap - Molly has been moved up to our bedroom area, and Tessa now has the run of the rest of the house. She was very tentative at first, as she was in our bedroom, but by this AM, she was racing all over, playing with all her toys, and exploring (and sniffing) everywhere. Again, great litterbox manners and no problem with eating. I slept on the family room couch in case she would be frightened, but she settled in nicely, and when she wan't playing, she slept curled up on my pillow, up against my head.

We're anxious for Tessa and Molly to meet, but as recommended, are taking our time with that. It's seems like a lengthy process, but we're both convinced that it makes sense and is worth the little bit of extra effort that it takes. We're looking forward to being able to spend our evenings together with both of our "girls" soon!

The entire adoption process has been wonderful, and we're so thankful for all the support we've received. From Jeanne (Tessa's foster mom) to Marjorie (our interviewer) to Siri (Siamese Rescue director) to the volunteer transport folks, everyone has been so great along the way, and also so responsive to my endless questions.

I'd recommend adoption to anyone who's considering it. We feel so fortunate to have been able to have Tessa join our family! (Pictures to come soon)

3/9/10 - Tessa here.... I'm all settled in now and can write my own messages now, thank you very much :-) Tomorrow it'll be 5 weeks since I took over this house, and I finally have these people trained!!

Now that I've gotten my mom & dad totally wrapped around my little paw, I've gone to work on my sister Molly. She was sure a grumpy old lady, and she growled and hissed at me every time she saw me. Now that I'm running the place, I pretty much ignore that, although I did give her a good thump twice (the old "shoot and scoot" routine) when I got tired of it and decided to let her know it.

I think I've begun to wear her down now- this weekend, she ate her breakfast with her back to me and didn't growl; now she doesn't hiss when she sees me, and this morning we had 2 big breakthroughs: she was playing with my catnip banana, and she even laid in my Millie-bed! I took these minor insults in stride... peace at any price! I figure that it's only a matter of time until she'll be eating out of my paw, too... She's big but old, I'm small but fast!

The parents finally found a canned food that is OK for me and that I totally LOVE... when I see my mom pick up the can, I feel like I've been rolling in catnip. I'm still scratching myself a little, but now that they have the allergies figured out, I'm lots less itchy. I could've told them if only they'd asked me...

All in all, life is wonderful here now that I have everyone trained! They sat my cat condo in front of their patio door so that I can enjoy the sunshine and watch the birds, and once afternoon comes, I take my daily nap in mom's sock bin in their closet. I've started following her all over the house (I'm no dummy, I know who feeds me) and since they gush all over me every time I do it, I've started talking to them more and more every day. They still don't seem to mind that when I'm lonely, I wake them up a couple times a night by rubbing all over their faces or laying on their chests - in fact, they seem to like it, strangely enough...

My mom keeps trying to get some good pictures of me to post on here, but so far, no luck. She hasn't figured out yet that every time she switches on the "red eye detector" on her camera, I make my eyes turn this crazy flourescent yellow color on purpose. One of these days I'll humor her and make her think she did it right so that I can post some pictures on here. In the meantime, I'll just keep torturing her!

Love to my Aunt Jeanne, too!
Tessa Leaman

Hi from Lancaster PA!
Since my public has been clamoring for pictures, I thought I'd add a few more for your viewing pleasure...

Still keeping the folks in my house in line, including that other cat (Molly). I've got them all pretty much where I want them (wrapped around my front paws), so no complaints on this end. Food's still real good, new toys keep appearing regularly, and the old girl (Molly) has finally stopped hissing at me. The folks got me a leash, and now I can sit out on the deck with them during the evenings. We like to watch for hummingbirds, but any type of bird will actually be fine with me. I'd sure like to get a closer look at those feeders!

I also like it when they turn on the TV - if only I could get them to watch only Animal Planet and nothing else! I'm glued to the TV when I see other animals on there...

Otherwise, nothing new here - enjoy the rest of the summer!
Love,
Tessa Leaman

Hi everyone,
It's so hard to believe that it's been 5 years since I adopted these humans. I'm happy to report that I now have them completely under my control at all times - mission accomplished!
The former cat-master of the house is now pretty much under my control, too - in fact, she tolerates me enough that she occasionally tries to lick my face, and recently, she even sat on the same fleece pad with me. When my mom went to get her phone to take our picture, I got up so that there wouldn't be any evidence of the crime...that was a close call!
I like my human mom enough that I'm glued to her all the time - she keeps saying that I'm the cat who thinks she's a dog...I'm sure she doesn't realize how insulting that is. I just like to be wherever she is at all times, as she is the keeper of the food. I still sleep curled up against her every night and am in her lap the minute she sits down.
Only wrinkle in my life is that my doc tells us that I have kidney failure. I lost a lot of weight until they could find a food that I could keep down and which didn't contain any of the foods that I'm allergic to. Every day my mom gives me half of a Pepcid and every other morning, She gives me an appetite stimulant. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm getting used to having them shoved down my throat, but I'd never admit that to her! We're having even more bonding time now, since she takes me to our doc twice a week for IV fluids (my dad almost fainted when we did it at home, so that was the end of that). It takes about 35-40 min. each way to the doc, and most of the time I doze in my carrier until we get there. I really hate that big needle, but they let me stay in my carrier while they do it since I'm more comfy in there, and I grit my teeth and take it like the trouper that I am. Now all the people at my doc's office love me, too, so it's nice to know that my charm is recognized by all.
My doc says I'm holding my own and I'm doing my best to enjoy every day. I'm enjoying all of my toys, following the sunshine up the steps in the house (my mom is including the latest portrait of me doing that), and having my humans wrapped around my littlebpaws at all times.
Thanks again to my Aunt Jeanne Brunn and everyone at Siamese Rescue for the wonderful care you gave me and for finding me my fur ever home!
Love,
Tessa Jannello-Leaman

What is a guy to do? The girls fawn all over me - that Tashelle and Pandora just can't get enough of my handsome self. The visitors have to pick me up, snuggle me tight, love me hard, and scritch me all over. And Aunt Siri and Uncle Darrell have to coo and kiss and make goopy eyes at me.

If you'd like an irresistible hunka loving snowshoe cat, well, gee, I guess I could stand some more adoration, if I must!

12/25/2014

Merry Christmas people!!!! I am spending the day being passed around like a cheap turkey by my mom's family. But I'm not allowed to eat any turkey because mom once again found out that I have been filching Khloe's food and that I weigh 14 lbs. She's mad, and I was really careful to disguise my binging and carb loading so I just don't know what tipped her off. Probably that damn vet. I swear, that woman is a most unsavory, rotten excuse of a human for ratting me out. Just breaking HIPPA laws all over the place with her loose lips.

So now I eat in a separate room from my lady love. And I only have 20 minutes for each meal. I think that Khloe has been taking her meals with another man. I've noticed lately that everytime I get near her after I eat, she smells different. (NOTE from Mom - I clean Khloe with dry shampoo rubbed into her coat while Anthony is eating) I don't know who he is, but if I catch some Tomcat sniffing around my lady, I'm going to club him with my mighty paw (Cue up Eye of the Tiger).

What I'm really trying to get at here, is that I need a cheeseburger. Or maybe a juicy slice of turkey bacon. Dieting is cruel, and I consider it animal abuse. (Of course you do Anthony) and I need someone to call the NAACP....... or the ASPCA or even AAA. I'm a good cat, I don't deserve to be treated this way or have a wayward, cheating girlfriend. Maybe 2015 will be better. Maybe someone will drop some food and gravy....

10/29/2014
Hi everybody!!!! I would like to take this time and let you all know that meowmy has been totally derelict in her duties of keeping everyone updated on how I'm doing. We've been spending our time posting mostly on Facebook and a little bit on Instagram.

So let's see...... not a whole lot has changed. Well, meowmy moved us to a much larger, sunnier apartment, and bough me and Khloe all new living room furniture to lay on and play on. It's nice and gives the place some class. (NOTE FROM MOM: Gee, thanks Anthony)

I have a bunch of new toys also, and a new cat tree being delivered today as a present for my 3 year anniversary. And I also have this really nice, big path out back of our apartment that has a big lake in the middle of the path. It's peaceful and nice and mom hooks me up with my harness and leash and takes me for long walks around that lake. I've met a couple of dogs that are pretty cool also while I'm out there walking. So I have some new friends besides my hot little girlfriend Khloe.

I also walk the long hallways and meet the neighbors when mom and I go to visit Grandma who lives in the same building ,7 floors below us.

All in all, I have a pretty good life, except for that tooth that I had to have pulled about 6 months ago. That hurt, but mom brushes my teeth all the time now. I hate it. But otherwise, I'm in good shape, I get lots of love and if you're looking for me, just go to facebook and look up my mom, Dyson Chase, and you will find me. Until next time......

10/29/2013

Today is my 2 year Anniversary in my forever home. Mom woke up this morning with me spread out on top of her like a cheap blanket. She said she thought she was having a heart attack because of the pressure on her chest. I'm not sure what that means. But when she opened her eyes and saw me laying squarely in the middle of her torso, she smiled at me and said good morning.

I like it here. I still do not like being walked like a dog on a leash, but mom says it's important to stay active, and apparently I am something called a lazy little fart. Whatever.

I overheard mom talking to the vet's office this morning. She was making some sort of secret plan to kittynap me and take me in there to be manhandled and molested by weirdos (examined by qualified veterinary Dr.'s and technicians). They probably think they're going to weight me too. But I've got plans.

I'm currently hatching a plot to avoid detection, and evade capture so that I don't have to go to that hell hole and get any shots, or have strangers stare into my mouth, stick things (thermometer) in my behind, or take blood (senior bloodwork and heart murmur enzyme indicator testing). I'm not sure how I'm going to scale the balcony with my toys and the food I plan on stealing, but I'm going to find a way to break free before I can be forced into going to the vet. If I stay gone for a couple of hours, mom will forget all about her plans for the vet, and then we can all go back to happy living. Sounds like a solid plan to me. Wish me luck!!!

Hi everybody!! Just thought I'd check in. All is well at home. Now that it's nice outside, mommy occasionally takes me for short walks on my leash and harness along the sidewalk. People always come up and pet me and want to hold me. Mom gets frustrated because I'm supposed to be getting some fresh air and exercise, not stopped, pampered, and prevented from my true purpose. I like it because as soon as we get in the house, I get a nice comb and brushdown. Puts me right to sleep every time.

Also, mom got me a heating pad. I love it. I'm getting older now, so sometimes my legs feel stiff. It really helps. I've also discovered a new hiding place in the house. See, we have these rugs that mom calls "runners" and they are real narrow. I found a way to crawl underneath of one of them and keep a lookout for Khloe. She still hasn't discovered this new hiding place, and she NEVER finds me when I'm hiding under the rug. So it's fun and exciting to hide in plain sight. Speaking of which, I'm going to go do it right now. Later everybody!!!! NOTE FROM MOM: Check out the two new pictures I've posted, and you will see how wrong Anthony is about Khloe never finding him under the runner.

I have begun joining mom in her Zumba workouts and at first, I thought she was crazy or something, maybe a brain aneurism. Because I'm not used to seeing humans walk around with the shakes, but I finally realized that she was dancing. It looked entertaining so I started running around her and jumping up and down. Now I know that when she is doing Zumba, I can get in on the act and race around like a mad man. I say all of this to say that I have lost 10 ounces between doing my version of Zumba and walking the hallways with my mom. She's happy. Khloe and I have both lost a little weight, and Khloe is now speaking to me again after also being forced to eat less because of me. She wouldn't play with me for a long time.

The vet was laughing when mom told her what I've been doing to lose weight. I don't know why she thought it was funny. I really dislike that this vet is my mom's friend, because my mom doesn't have to pay to get me weighed, which means I'm at the vet's office a lot, even though I'm not always there for check ups. But at least the staff is nice to me. One girl there calls me Casanova. I don't know why, but all this time I thought my name was Anthony. People are really weird sometimes.

I'm going to go back to sleep now. I thought I'd update everyone on my weight loss.

OK, so mom took me to the vet a couple of months ago, and they had the nerve to weigh me right in front of my mom!!! Damn those people!!!! The jig is now up in my house, and my diet is stricter than ever. How is a man supposed to live on three small meals a day?? I need my treats!!! I need to eat Khloe's food throughout the day when no one is looking. This "DIET" is simply not fair.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, mom puts me on a harness and leash and makes me walk the hallways of our apartment building. Those are some really long hallways, and when you have a fat belly, it's not so easy to expend all that energy. Mom says that since I lay around all the time, and I never want to play with any of my toys or engage in any playtime with her or Khloe that I have to get my exercise somehow. I DON'T LIKE TO EXERCISE!!! I'm built for comfort, not speed. Apparently, the vet said that she's all for walking me around like a dog. I just can't believe that my mom would treat me with such uncharacteristic cruelty. Can someone out there talk to my mom and explain to her that I just want to be a fat cat, and that I don't understand what it means to have arthritis, diabetes or heart problems? I don't know what all that stuff means, I just want to eat and relax.

All this talk of missing food has got me so upset that now I'm hungry. Too bad I can't reach the top of the refrigerator and get a hold of those treats up there......

Today is my one year anniversary in my new home. It's just as crappy outside today as it was the day that I came home with my new mommy, only today I am sleeping in my comfy bed after waking mommy up all night long because I was bored and wanted to play. I think she was a little mad at me.

I'm a very happy boy, and I would say that I'm well taken care of. I have to go to the vet on Wednesday and get my shots and a physical, so I'm sure that the vet will once again tell my mommy all of my business and convince her that I am eating too much. I'm trying to run around as much as possible and lose weight, so maybe I will weigh less. I'm keeping my paws crossed.

Regardless of how that visit turns out, I'm sure that my mommy and grandma will smother me in hugs and kisses since that is what usually happens to me when they get together. Oh well, things could be a lot worse I guess. Well, I'm going to go back to sleep now and have lunch in a few more hours. I just wanted to say hello to everyone from the Rescue that took care of me and let you all know that all is well on my homefront. Cheers!!!

I got to go to a rehab center for people to see my grandma who is recuperating after being in the hospital yesterday. There were all of these people there and I spent about 2 hours being cuddled and petted. It was nice. The people that work there asked my mom if she would consider bringing me by again as a therapy cat. I don't know what that is exactly, but everyone there was nice and they all seemed to like me. My grandma says its' because I am a cute little love stinker. What is that exactly?

Anyway, things are good at home. I've discovered that mom has a very plush bath robe and whenever she leaves it on the bed, I go in her room and I snuggle up in it and sleep all day long. It's fabulous!! Khloe has even started sleeping on it with me.

Mom took me out to the park last week so that I could get some fresh air. She says I can't be trusted on the balcony because I tried to jump once. So this way, I get to go outside and watch the birds and sleep on the picnic tables in the sun. But I don't get much sleep because children always want to play with me and pet me. I don't mind though. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I am going to take a nap and eat some good chicken when mom gets home.

Today is my 6 month anniversary in my new home. Mom took me to something called a kitty spa, and I got a manicure, a pedicure, a bath, blow drying, ear cleaning and a fabulous brushing. Now I smell funny and mom says that it's called rockin' raspberry. But hey, Khloe likes it and keeps grooming me. I even got a new bed with some kind of gel mattress pad in it. I swear, when I crawl into it, I never want to get out of it.

I'm pretty happy in my new home. Mom loves me a lot and lets me sleep next to her at night. I get good food and I have more toys than I know what to do with. I get lots of hugs and kisses and petting from mom, and all of her attractive lady friends that come over, and my hot little girlfriend Khloe keeps me active. My mom's mom calls me Barry White because she says I'm a big love teddy bear just like he was. Can someone tell me who Barry White is? Is he as handsome and smooth with the ladies as I am? Ahhh...... probably not. I'm an original.

Anyway, I just thought I'd update everyone on my 6 month anniversary and let everyone know that I will not be returning to the rescue. I've finally figured out how to use the remote control so that I can catch all of the CSI Miami reruns when mom is at work, and I get to do whatever I want. I'm going to go take a long nap in my new bed now. Ciao!!!!

OK, I have a few complaints. First, Mom took me to the vet because I had a cold that wouldn't clear up, and the vet weighed me and then had the nerve to tell my mom that I weigh 13 lbs. Now I am on a diet where I only get two meals a day and no more treats until I lose a pound. Mom has also gotten wise to the fact that I eat Khloe's cat food all day and night after I finish my own, so she has started getting rid of Khloe's food so that I can't eat it. Now Khloe is pissed at me because even though she is only 9 1/2 lbs, she is mad at me and says that this is all my fault. What is the world coming to when a man can no longer enjoy his treats or share a meal with his lady? I blame the vet. Isn't there some law against divulging patient information to outsiders??? I am thinking about contacting an attorney about this abusive treatment.

And second, during the same vet visit, mom had them stick me in the neck with a big needle to take my blood. Apparently the vet thinks I may have a heart murmur, but mom told them to check my blood for some sort of elevated enzyme that indicates turbulent blood flow before she takes me to a specialist to get tested. So I had A GIANT NEEDLE STUCK IN MY NECK!!!!!!! I was not at all happy about that. I'm glad that mom cares so much about my health, but I am shopping for a more discreet veterinarian. Someone who will not divulge my bad boy secrets. If you know of any vets that fit this description, please let me know, because I don't want anymore needles in the neck, and I want my treats back!!!! I should probably post something positive while I am here so, ummm...... Oh yeah, mom bought a feather toy that looks and sounds like a bird flying through the air, and i can't get enough of chasing and hunting it. So I guess that's pretty cool.

This is Anthony checking in. I am sneaking to write this, as mom is at work, and I am on her laptop at home. I had my teeth cleaned last month at the vet's office. What a terrible experience. I was absolutely convinced that Mom was abandoning me when she dropped me off, and I was never so glad to see anyone in my life when she came to pick me up. I am ashamed to admit that even though I am a big strapping man, I cried like a baby and the Dr. told mom all aobut it. How embarrassing. So mom took me home and gave me lots of hugs and kisses and then she whipped out my favorite brush and suddenly I forgot that I was still upset and allowed myself to be carried away on a sea of bliss. Ahhhhh........ I love being brushed.

My girlfriend Khloe is still giving me fits. Somedays I question our love. Other days I simply hang with mommy and stay away from Khloe because I think she is on something. I've had other girlfriends in the past and none of them were as crazy and erratic as she is. I don't know what to do with her. I can't complain though, mom always makes sure to keep my favorite foods on hand, and we get treats twice a day. We have a huge water fountain to drink out of, and a litter box that is so big I could move in and bring all my luggage and still have plenty of room to do my business. And of course, there is that king size bed. Mom even bought stairs so that I can get up and down easily. I love that bed!!!!! Now if I could just figure out how to get ahold of the TV remote so that I can catch re-runs of CSI Miami while I snooze. If anyone has any ideas please post them here. I think I hear mom's keys at the door. Gotta go!

11/17/11

Well it's taken awhile, but mom came home from work and discovered that I have figured out how to open the bedroom door while she's away. When she came in she discovered Khloe and I on the bed snuggled up together. Khloe ran away as soon as she realized we were busted. I don't see what the big deal is. I knew that Khloe would fall for my charms eventually. Now she's officially under my love spell. Mom is tickled pink. She keeps trying to get pictures of us together, but Khloe always runs away. I wonder if she is ashamed of our relationship. I hope not, because she is one beautiful lady and I like spending time with her. I'm pretty happy with everything. I'm losing weight, and mom says my coat is getting really shiny and sleek, and I have the full run of the house. My favorite thing is crawling up on the couch and taking naps in the sun. Yep, everything is coming up roses. Hopefully mom can get some pictures of me and Khloe together so that everyone can see my lady love.

11/13/2011

OK, I have been integrating for 2 days now with Khloe, the mean girl cat that lives in my house. I am confused. During the day no matter what I do, if Khloe sees me, she spits, hisses and growls at me. I just try to ignore her and steer clear of her because she clearly has anger issues. But then for some reason, once it's 9 pm, suddenly she is my best friend and doing everything she can to get me to play with her and chase her. I'm used to the ladies loving me, not having to chase them so she must be confused because I am one handsome dude and I think she should just give in to her secret desire for me and just admit that she is playing hard to get. At least then I could let go of my growing suspicion that her behavior is the result of some illicit drug use. I've asked mom and she doesn't have an explanation either, so I just stay close to mom because she doesn't act weird according to the time of day. Does anyone know of a 12 step program for cats?
