Looking for a very patient, special adopter for this sweet, beautiful girl. Ask about her if you think you could deal with diarrhea long term, and I'll explain it all.

Notes from Home
It's been 6 months and Zurri is doing GREAT! All of her digestion issues have been taken care of and she's a happy, healthy, girl! She's definitely Queen B of the house, keeping her canine brother and sister in order. She gets along especially well with her brother, Soca, a 108 pound American Bulldog. She sometimes bothers her long haired chihuahua sister, Nellie, and mistakes her flluffy tail for a cat toy, but it's all in good fun. Zurri has gained some weight since being home. She came to us at around 4 and a half pounds and she is now around 6 and a half pounds. She's very smalled framed so for her size, she's just about right. She's pretty calm and quiet for the most part but she can be a little sassy when she wants to be. And she's very charming! Somehow she's turned my husband, a sworn dog's man, into a Siamese cat lover. We'll be moving into a new home next month so it will be interesting to see which area of the house she claims as her own. And we'll be moving her litter box to the basement with a cat door, so we'll see how she adjusts. She has impeccable litter habits here and I hope that continues in the new house. Zurri is just fabulous!!

HANK
Very loving
Very easy going
Very friendly
Very sensitive

I was in a situation with too much - too much noise, too much commotion, too much competition for attention. Being the sensitive, quiet type, I got overwhelmed.

I'd like a little less of all that, and a little more attention!

It has been 2 years now and I think Hank realizes this is his home. He waits for us at the door when we get home and follows us around the house. He is not real vocal unless he wants food or is playing with Jazmine. He seems to be the dominant kitty but Jaz still pesters him then the wrestling begins. He is Jeff's buddy - a guys cat. they hang out on the sofa together with the remote watching hockey. When I come join them, I am so happy - I have a big lap cat.

Now for the great news. He has not pooped outside the litter box for months. Last summer, he was missing the box regularly even though we were giving him the meds so we just took him off of meds. He was more alert and interactive with us and started using the box. We continued to keep all 4 large boxes clean. We also put up barriers so he was funneled into the litter box room instead of him having the whole room and carpet to tempt him. I wonder if the meds, making him spacy, scared him and that is why he was not using the box. Now he even seems to be trying to cover it up.

We are so glad we stuck with him. I think he just needed to know he is in a safe place.

Laura

We have had Hank for a year now and love him. He is a part of the family and seems comfortable with us as well. Jaz is a head shorter than him but still likes to challenge him. She picks a fight and he ignores her till he can't stand it. then he just lays his paw on her and throws her to the floor and they wrestle/play a little. Not sure I understand their relationship. We often find them curled up on the bed together.

Hank loves to be with us. He especially likes the spot between Jeff and I on the bed at night. He really sprauls out and we often find ourselves clinging to the edge of the bed because of - the cat! He loves treats and Jeff has taught him to stand on his back feet to take one at a time from his hand.

Hank is still on the antianxiety drugs which keeps him pooping in the box. We are discussing when to try to wean him off of them again. Tried last summer and he started going on the carpet again in the family room. I hope this helps others. - Don't give up a good kitty because he misses the litterbox.

3/15/13 Jeff spent some time with supervised play while I was at work the last couple of weeks. Frequently, Hank will do his Siamese male howl that echos through the house. Jaz will trot to the room and peek around the corner. When Hank sees her, then begins the chase. They chase each other from the top to the bottom of the house and back again.
Hank has a favorite toy - old stuffed mouse with no parts left tied to a long cotton shoestring. He plays with it and drags the string around the house with the mouse bouncing along behind. Jaz will often pounce on the mouse.
Hank sleeps on our bed at night and that is when you realize how big he is. Jaz still sleeps in her bed in the spare bedroom. I am waiting for them to curl up together like Simon and Jaz did.
They have a favorite mutual past-time - breakfast, dinner, snack, treats..... Maybe cause they were both strays?
He still has a bald belly but we are OK with that. I have started giving them omega 3 liquid on their food so see it that will help.
He has not pooped outside the box but I notice when he pees, it is right on the front edge. Once, it was so close, I tried to push him further into the box. Will need to keep a rug or mat outside the box. When we move the box to the basement, there is a lot of room and He may feel more comfortable getting all the way in.

He is calling Jaz right now so I expect some romping to begin soon.

CAMBRIDGE
Big teddy bear of a kitty. Over his serious health issue, he's ready to cuddle any time you have to hold him. Got nuzzles? Need nuzzles? This is your kitty.

Fine with cats who are not victim cats and those who will ignore his huffs and puffs of hot air.

Cambridge is now in his house for one year. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me and Cambridge. We are a pair. He has to sit on my lap the very minute I sit down. He head buts me and gives me kisses all the time.
He will be going for his yearly check up at the vets soon and I know that he wilt a clean bill of health. He loves his toys and he loves to run up and down the stairs to get them and bring them down to me.We are very happy together and I would not know what to do without him. He is a very happy boy and I intend to keep him that way.

GEORGIE GIRL
A gentle soft natured gal, I'm looking forward to posing for my videos this week and sharing more about myself! Aunt Siri finally got a first video up (she's slacking these days!) so you can see how friendly I am!

Georgy Girl is doing just fine. She is very timid but comes to me often during the day and night. She's fussy about her food. She will eat fancy feast but only certain kinds. She doesn't seem to like the blue food. She sleeps a lot on a bed in the spare bedroom, next to but not in the Millie bed. She likes to play with the feathered toy but not the one with the bell. She likes her crunchy bag in the den and she likes to sit on her scratching bed but doesn't use it often. She's very sweet and likes to have her face rubbed and her chin scratched. All and all we're just fine.

SVEN
Hi! I'm called Seven because I have 7 toes on each front foot, including 3 thumbs!

I did live with kids and a dog, so I'd be ok in a home with both.

I went to the vet to find out how healty I am, and my bloodwork all came back good.

I am ready to go to my new forever home, so for now I'll just hang out and enjoy my new clean enviornment until meowmy finds me the right one. Maybe that yours?

Purrs,
Seven

Notes from Home
It is with a heavy heart that I must report that Sven passed away today. He died of a pulmonary embolism but he had a ruptured gall bladder due to an infection. He only had days left. We loved him with all of our hearts and are so glad we could give him the love he deserved. We will miss you my sweet viking. (2/12/15)

11/26/14: Sven continues to be the biggest love bug. He typically follows me around the house when he is not sleeping in the dog bed. We love him so much. I've added a Viking picture of him.

9/15/14: Today is Sven's 1 year anniversary with us! He is such a sweet boy who starts purring as soon as you look at him. Everyone who meets him loves him. He is a unique personality so I decided to start a Facebook page for him (https://www.facebook.com/svenvikingcat). Please feel free to like it! Thank you for all that you do for these wonderful Siamese. We are so lucky that we found Sven and he is part of our lives.

7/10/14: I realized it has been a few months since I gave an update on my paw-some boy, Sven! He is definitely a southern cat! He did not appreciate our extra cold northeast winter, despite being an indoor cat who has his own dog bed! Once the weather turned sunny, he has enjoyed spending time with us in the sun room soaking up some rays or finding the sun spots throughout the house. He is the type of cat that if you just look at him he starts purring. He is the biggest love and is such a joy. Everyone who meets him loves him (although he needs to stop getting in ladies' purses!) He is a character and loves the fancy cat wand I bought for him at a cat show. For a big cat, he certainly can jump. I think approximately one year ago, Sven was returned to Siamese Rescue. Although it makes us sad to think that he lived for 7 years with someone and they could treat him the way they did, we are so glad we can give him the home that he deserves.

4/9/14: After a long and cold winter, Sven is ready for some warmth and sun so he can sit in the window and catch some rays! He is a big cat with an even bigger personality. He is quite the character and loves a lot of attention. His interesting quirk is that he loves the hair dryer. When I am in the bathroom drying my hair, he joins me and starts meowing until I blow dry him. He rolls around on the ground and purrs the whole time. If he missed his fur drying time, he meows at me until I get the hair dryer back out and blow dry him. I am such a good human slave!

3/25/14: We are just past Sven's 6 month anniversary! It seems like he is blossoming more each day. Honestly, I think he was unsure about the permanence of his new home until recently. Now, he is more confident and even more affectionate than before. He is chatty, outgoing, and loving. He wants to be where the people are and if he thinks you are not paying attention to him, he lets you know with a loud MEOW! We love this guy so much and are so happy to have him in our home.

2/14/14: Happy Valentine's Day! Sven is such a love. He seems to be finding his voice because he "chats" more with me. His little squeaky voice does not fit the big cat he is! I can't help but laugh. Because our other cat is Mr. Stinny, our five year old has started calling Sven "Miss Sven." Sven is bonded mostly to me but he loves attention from everyone. He still likes to sit on my shoulder or back but that ends up being pretty awkward. Like a dog, he comes when he is called and comes running with his tail up and almost a grin on his face. He is our sweet Meezer boy!

January 7, 2014: Sven says Happy New Year! He is still a loving sweet bundle of joy. He likes to chat from time to time but his favorite thing is to be loved upon. He is so affectionate and sweet. And popular. I take "selflies" of Sven and post them on my Facebook page. He's started to have a following (probably because he's so handsome!) and people look forward to his latest photos. He is on a special diet to treat his urinary tract issues and takes a pill twice a day to help lower the ph of his urine. He is the BEST at taking medicine! However, he is a little chow hound and he has a private "suite" (aka our home office) for eating while his kitty siblings eat their food. We love this boy so much and are so thankful to give him the loving home he deserves. Thank you to everyone who help make this adoption possible!

It is been less than 24 hours but Sven the Great Orange Viking of Siam (formerly known as Seven) has become a wonderful addition to our home! He is purring non-stop and loves all the attention we shower on him. He is eating well and using the litter box. We love him so much. As our 4 1/2 old son keeps saying: He's so cute! Thank you to everyone involved in this adoption including Beth, Jeanne, Gail, and the transporters. This is such a wonderful organization and you did an amazing job matching us with the perfect cat.

Day 5: Sven is such a great kitty! He is now having more free range of the house and is doing great. He is a big talker and chats back and forth with us. The other cats are getting used to him. Mr. Stinny likes to sit with him. Shrimpycat is sulking but seems to be accepting him more today. Zena does not realize there is a new cat in the house even though she has seen him several times. She's not the brightest but we love her! Rudy (the dog) is excited for a new playmate. He continues to eat well and use the litter box. He let me cut his nails last night and was quite cooperative. He is a total love and purrs non-stop. Tonight he has a checkup with the vet to make sure everything is fine. He is a perfect fit!

Day 9: Sven follows me all around the house, including the bathroom! All of the cats have warmed up to him and Sven and two of the cats slept on our bed last night. Rudy, the dog, is very excited about a new playmate. Sven gave him a few smacks to establish some boundaries but no major issues. He talks a lot in his little squeaky voice and we have little conversations with him. He is incredibly cuddly and lets me carry him around the house. He is eating well and using the litter boxes with the other cats. His vet appointment went well and she said his weight at 14.9 pounds (!) was fine but he should not gain any more weight. His heart and lungs are great and everything else was fine. The vet was also very upset when I told her about his horrendous flea infestation. Of course, she loved him and his huge paws too. Everyone loves him as he has a ton of personality and like his brother, Mr. Stinny, he enjoys being around people.

Day 15: Sven has definitely claimed us as his family. Although he loves everyone, he bonded with me and follows me from room to room. He has a funny high pitched but loud meow and he calls to me when I am outside. We are very careful about making sure he does not sneak outside. Even our four year old son tells Sven that he is an "inside only kitty!" Sven and Mr. Stinny have become great friends. Even though they tussle from time to time, they spend time together and Mr. Stinny "asks" Sven to groom him by plopping down next to him and putting his head under him. I have included a photograph of the unbelievable cuteness. The girls are still getting acquainted with him and tend to keep their distance. We absolutely love Sven and are so happy to have him as part of our family!

October 4, 2013 (I've lost count of the days!): I cannot express how much we love Sven. He is such a wonderful cat and is doing so well in our house. Last night I woke up at 1:30 in the morning to find Sven and Mr. Stinny curled up on the end of the bed next to each other. It makes my heart happy to see that Mr. Stinny has found a cuddle friend again. Mr. Stinny is blind and for many years he had Lilliputian (aka Lilly) as his buddy. They usually could be found cuddled together under the covers or on the couch. He is an extremely affectionate cat with both humans and felines and I think that after Lilly passed at age 17, he missed that companionship. Fortunately, Sven is the guy to give it to him. Sven brings joy to our house in so many ways! Thank you again for bringing us together.

October 15, 2013 (one month anniversary!): We cannot describe how much we love this goofy cat. Even though he is a 15 pound man, he races around the house like a kitten! He is absolutely hysterical. He is more than a healthy eater. Before we had to watch him to make sure he does not eat everyone's food. Now that Mr. Stinny and the girls are used to him, they deal with him better at breakfast and dinner by blocking his way to their food dishes. Smart kitties! He is a total cuddly cat and likes to be held like a baby. He continues to follow me around and greets me at the door. He is a talker but I always expect a less squeaky voice from such a big boy It's pretty humorous. I cannot describe how perfect he is for our household. It seems like he has always been a part of our lives. We are really lucky to have him as part of our family.

November 6, 2013: Sven is doing wonderful and we learned about his newest talent: he fetches!! I knew he was smart but really, he's a genius. His fur is filling in beautifully and he is sooooo much softer now. He loves to cuddle and just stares at us with this adoring look. We love him so very much! He and Mr. Stinny (our senior blind cat) are officially best friends. They groom each other and fall asleep curled up next to one another. It is so sweet. The girls tolerate him and the dog has found that Sven can be a fun playmate. Overall, he is great!

RICKY TIKKY
Hiyas again! I've been here at my foster home over a week now and I'm still a little scared and shy. Ya gotta remember I've been through lots of stuff for a little kid! First the mean streets, then the shelter and now I'm in something they call a foster home, whatever that is. I know I'm really lucky cuz I got a nice big hidey box with comfy blankies to feel safe in and all the food, water and clean litter I ever dreamed of! And foster daddy is spending a lot of time with me. We watched Ice Age yesterday. That was way cool. But I still haven't quite figured out that I'm 100% safe and don't need to be scared anymore. My foster parents say I'm special and all I need is lots of love and TLC. I'm still running away from the camera which I think is kinda funny but foster mommy doesn't seem too amused. I hate to toot my own horn, but I am cute as a button. Maybe someday I'll let them take a picture and prove it! So anyways, if anybody out there wants to help out a shy little guy like me, please ask about me. Oh, one more thing. I hate to be picky but I'd be really glad if I didn't have to travel a really long way. Love, Ricky Tikky

It is hard to believe that I've had Ricky for 9 years now. He is the sweetest and most gentle soul. I am sure that Gabby would not be nearly as happy if she hadn't had Ricky watching over her. She is is her anchor and safety blanket. Whenever she is upset, she piles on top of Ricky and uses him for a bed. Ricky has accepted that Tomato is now part of the family and gently submits to being groomed and sharing the sacred box. I can't imagine life without my 'shoe.

LEXIE
Getting used to kind humans who won't hurt her.

A little shy at first, Kashi will quickly be your friend and let you pet her bunny-soft fur. She is looking for a patient adopter who will give her time and security to adjust to another move. Probably best with older children or an adult only home because she seems the kind of kitty that will get overwhelmed with a lot of commotion.

MAGOO
It's been a rough couple of months. I was found with a rubber band wrapped around one of my front feet, and after being treated, have healed.I've been here for almost two weeks now, and am doing very well.

I am very sweet and gentle. I love people, love to play, and like other cats. I like to be held, and will cuddle with you. My litter box habits are perfect, and I am not a picky eater. I'm also faithful to my scratching post, and never scratch the furniture.

So, there is nothing not to love about me.

Magoo is doing very well, he had a little upper respiratory virus but that now has subsided. He eats natural choice and the same dry food gold seal. I haven't attempted to change his name since he comes to kitty or mr. Kitty is what his dad calls him. He surprisingly responds to mr. Kitty, I always say mr Magoo. He has a perch with kitty toys and activity plays with them, along with taking naps in the sun. I am very pleased with your organization and willing to help out in any manner possible. Thank you so much saving for a wonderful kitty. Best, Holly sending photos regular email.

Notes from Home
Taylor arrived in one fluffy but tired piece, thanks to all the wonderful transporters! As Ernie, her brother, already has claimed this home as his, Taylor was initially quarantined, then slowly introduced to Ernie. He was so eager to meet her...he initially chirped to her through the door, and then played footsie. When they got together the first night they played flying bird-toy together then pounce the mouse. Ernie was initially a bit timid but the next day was hopping around like a kitten. I have Utube videos under "mau4meezers" if anyone would like to seem them play together.
More to come, Abigail

Update- 1month at forever home! Little Taylor AKA "Liz" Taylor, is a healthy bouncing baby girl with a very robust appetite for roast chicken.....a little Tortie Diva! When she came she was only 4.5 lbs, and has since put on an additional pound. Her ribs are not sticking out, and her sore gums are no longer inflamed. She is a little ball of fluff and energy and still loves to play kitten games. She retrieves the bell ball and she and her brother both fetch the grey furry mice. They usually play together well but Taylor is half Ernie's size and he can get rough. Taylor does not have the teeth and claws that Ernie has, and is unfortunately, vigilant about his whereabouts. She does relax in safe places such as up in the cat tree or on special chairs that afford protection. I plan to build some shelving so she can climb to a high perch on top of the hutch. Thankfully she still loves to cuddle, but has a short attention span for that. She is great to brush and willingly lets me brush her teeth and clean her ears. I don't want the cute kitten time to pass too fast but I hope that Taylor's teeth and claws will grow so she can feel more at ease with her brother.
4 Mo Anniversary at Taylor's furever home:
Taylor (teeters) is learning to walk on a harness. Her favorite activity is birdwatching and playing with anything watery. She has a drinking fountain in which she retrieves her jingle ball and drops it. Ice cubes sliding on the floor are another big hit. Taylor and her brother watch TV, especially the animal shows that have small flecks moving across the screen. Ernie is now much bigger, but teeters has learned to stand up to him. She often provokes a tussle....I think she just wants to play like the kitten she is. During the skirmishes, Taylor's fluff was pulled, but her lion's mane ruff is growing back. Taylor and Ernie are my full time companions, family and fur kids. I just love 'em
6 Mo Update : Taylor has grown like a weed. She grew her fluffy coat back in and it requires very little care because she loves to get wet under the water faucet in the sinks. I brush her to keep the hairballs down. She is sooo cute! Loves to hunt the animals on TV and would play all day if I had the time. She gets very frightened by car noises and has wiggled out of her harness. This makes me hesitate to walk her outside on the harness. Any suggestions? The pics are worth a thousand words.
1 year Taylor in her furever home: Tayor is a happy fluffer-nutter. She is so full of energy, and scats around the house teasing her brother Ernie. She can't stay still long enough to cuddle on the my belly often, although she sits right next to me. She also loves to sleep on my quilt, as does Ernie. She is very round, and seems to squirm out of her walking harness. She seems satisfied with being an indoor kitty. Loves da birds and watching wildlife on TV. She has taken hunting lessons from the cheetah videos. I love her deeply, she's brought such happiness, serenity and fun to my life. I love coming home to her!
Already! 2 yr furever home anniversary! Taylor says: I am still cute like a kitten but get into trouble like a Gen Yer that I am. Fun is the name of the game....and yummy food that I like too much. I am always cautious of my brother Ernie sneaking up on me. I can't catch a break! I am up before dawn to chitter at the birds just outside the window. Don't know what I would do if I actually got one. I'm fast and bet it could happen. Mom's OK but she has to pay attention to both of us, sometimes I wish I were the only one, but then, it's fun to have Ernie to tease.
3 Year Adoption Anniversary Note: It is hard to believe Taylor has been here 3 years. She still is very kitten-like. Her fur is so long and fluffy that often fuzzy balls and mice stick to her belly. One minute she happily playing, then the ball disappears deep into her undercoat. It's so funny to watch her try to find it!
Her personality is sweet, playful just as she was described by Debbie Austin, her foster Mom....a shout out to Debbie for nursing my Taylor to health and loving her too. Also greatly appreciate the two college girls who first noticed Taylor behind a restaurant, cold, dirty and scared. They saved her life!

MAGGIE MAY
Foster meowm has patiently explained to me that I will not get a new home for Christmas, but I could get my furever home by New Year's! Wouldn't that be great!?!?

I purr a lot, and headbutt, and purr. I like to be close to you and foster meowm says I'm a chatty cat. I just don't like this closed door system we have going here. I want to be FREE! I want to follow her and let her know how I'm doing, and get any loving she may have time to give. I'm not asking for too much, am I?

If you think you can carry on a conversation with me, and you like cats who are in your face to get loving, then you should really ask about me. Foster meowm says with a personality like mine, I won't last long!

Notes from Home
Maggie May has been with us for 2 weeks now. She is a very confident little girl. She sleeps with us every night. She's eatting well & seems very very happy. She still has not won over 2 of her new brothers but we are working on that. She seems unphased by the dog. She follows me everywhere & needs to be petted. We love her so much. Thank you Siamese Rescue for letting us adopt such a wonderful cat.

Maggie is HOME! She is very very happy here. She chases her new brothers but does not mess with the queen of the house Sassy (flame point geezer). She has never hidden & seems to want to be with us all the time. She's quite a talker & waits for me everyday in the bathroom when I take my shower. She purrs purrs & purrs. We are so in love with this little girl!

Maggie is reallly coming out of her shell. She is playing a bunch & giving her brothers a run for their money. She is very active, eating well etc. She is busy busy busy. We just love her so much. She is a Mama's girl (YEAH!). I will try to post some pictures soon but she moves too fast for me to get any good shots.

Maggie continues being loved by her Mom. She comes running to be petted when I come home from work. She sits with me in my recliner & loves being petted. She has won over 2 of her brothers(only 1 to go). We love love love her!

It's hard to believe we have had Maggie May 6 months already. She is just such a nice cat. We love love love her. She is doing wonderfully. She is a little shy with strangers but is really coming out of her shell. She loves the cardboard scratcher & her catnip toys. I so thank everyone involved with her rescue & hope to adopt again from SCRC!
Maggie May continues to be a Mama's girl. She's such a sweet sweet girl. We are very glad she came to us. This is her first Christmas with us & hopefully many many more to come.

Today we have had Maggie May a year. Wow how time flys by. She is a wonderful little girl & continues to do great in our household. She sleeps with us every night. She has also decided petting is a great thing. She plays more now that she has a little brother. At first she wasn't too thrilled with him but he has won her over. We cannot imagine our lives without her. Thanks again to Siamese Rescue & all involved for allowing this sweet girl to be part of our household. We love love love her!

Two years ago today we picked up our wonderful little snowshoe girl. She is doing so so well. She's a great cat. I could not have asked for a better little girl. Our life is so much better since we got her. She plays well and still sleeps with us every night. She had her Vet exam in Sept and she was a hit there too. She now has a new little sister and has been great with her. We love love love her. We want to thank again all involved in her rescue. We can say enough good things about her. She is also the reason I have gotten involved again with SCRC as a volunteer.
1/15/14 Three years ago this wonderful little girl entered our life. She is such a little purr bucket. She comes running when I come home from work. So cute. Its hard to believe we have had her so long already. She is a smart smart girl. She knows her name and knows if she is doing bad! LOL. I want to thank everyone again for rescueing this great cat and letting us adopt her. Yes we do love her.
1/15/15 Wow where has 4 years gone. Maggie continues to be a great little girl. She and her brother OC are now best buds. She still comes running into the kitchen when I come home from work. We are just so in love with her. She loves her wet food and cleans her bowl. I just cannot imagine our life without her.
2/10/15 Sadly we had to put our girl to sleep. She had a lung tumor. 4 years was not enough time with her. RIP sweet girl we will always love you.
