LING LING
I keep looking out the window for my adopters to come get me. I have looked every day and still no one comes. The foster pawrents are good to me but this isn't my forever home..

OK I may not be perfect but geez I am pretty good. I am a little skittish but I am also loving. and I seek attention. There has to be someone out there with a quiet home who will be happy to have a cat like me.

Foster mom keeps trying to get pictures of me but I hear the camera turn on and run the other way. I think that camera is an evil monster. I know she will keep trying and sometime she will get better pictures. I just know it.

Please give me a chance. I will surprise you. LOOK AT MY NEW VIDEO

Notes from Home
Ling Ling's name has been changed to LuLu. Two weeks into her transition, she still spends a significant amount of time under the bed in her room. When I spend time in her room, she jumps up on the bed and nudges my arms and hand until I pet her. She sleeps with me every night. All other systems are fine. However, she is not willing to come out of her room. We left the bedroom door open all day yesterday. She didn't venture ourside of her lair once! I know she is very timid, and trust will come with time. She is a very sweet little kitty!

10/29/13
One year ago today we were driving home in the driving rain of Hurricane Sandy with a very unhappy, mistrustful kitty named "Ling Ling". It took about three days to decide that it was OK to approach me for pets and about three weeks for her to decide that she owned the house. Since then we've renamed her "Lu Lu" because we have a local Chinese restaurant called Ling Ling's - some how that just seemed wrong. She has become the ruler, queen and head honcho of the house! She has a nightly routine of hunting invisable mice in the living room - she looks like an Artic Fox pouncing on her prey! She is still the verbally quietest Siamese I've ever dealt with - my Mom refers to it as "reading her lips".We are so happy she has come to live with us! We thank Siamese Rescue for her every day!!!!!!

SUNTI
Oh my heart be still! Love wedgies? Love Siamese? Love early geezerhood? You're going to love this guy..... Left in a carrier on the steps of an animal shelter - really? Even after doing this for 15 years, I will never get over some of the most fantastic cats in the world being dumped on a doorstep.....

Their loss will be someone else's treasure, no doubts at all.
Notes from Home
Sunti was renamed to Yuri. He had the most beautiful soulful blue eyes and such a sweet sweet boy. He slept with the sun shining on his face on our ride home. He rested in his Millie while I set up his water and food. We played and loved on each other. The next day, sadly, was our last as a family.

The morning came and he was alert and happy and ate happily. He and I spent the day loving on each other and his purr massaged my heart. He wrapped his paws around me and slept on my shoulder and on me most of the day. He explored his new home and I told him how much I love him and happy he is home. He seemed so happy.

Sadly, he has an episode similar to one he had at the center. We went to the ER vet and despite my prayers and tears and the ER vet's best efforts, whatever happened to him or afflicted him before coming to SCRC was too much for his little body to endure. I was with him, holding his paw telling him how much I loved him and would miss him and how beautiful he is until he passed from my hands back to Gods. I love you my precious boy Yuri. Our time was way too short but I will carry our happy hours fondly and will love and miss you always.

Notes from Home
Pongo's new name is Panihaka (Hawaiian for Successor). Panihaka's stomatitis was extensive to include bone loss in the front of the mouth so all of his teeth (including the canines) were removed last week at "The Life Center" in Leesburg, VA. Panihaka is still having a lot of snot issues but we are hoping that they will decrease now that he has less bacteria in his mouth. He is currently on antibiotics (clavimox) and pain killers (today is the last day for the pain killers). He is actually feeling much better now that his teeth have been removed. He can really get a ping pong ball moving in the middle of the night on the hardwood floors. :) We had been hoping that Panihaka would get Torin to start playing again but it turns out that Torin has developed heart problems and shouldn't be playing much anymore. So we are playing with him instead. With all the medications and surgery he is still a little wary of us but he is doing quite well and loves to be scratched of the head and now even the chin.

SI
A TV celebrity like I am just has no privacy, not even in my bath - the paparazzi are everywhere !

Please feel free to join the 'Si-Siamese I Am' fanclub ! Just click on the pawprint to Ask About Me. And if you take a place in line, I'll be happy to send you a personalized brief bio and autograph. I'm overwhelmed by the responses I've gotten since my former manager booked me onto national television and my new manager is doing her best to keep up with the flood of fan mail.

Update: My vet exam showed that I'm Hyperthyroid which means I'll either require meds the rest of my life or Radiocat treatment. Feel free to ask for more information.

4/2/13 Thank you for checking to see how Hunter is doing with our family. He has brought a lot of joy and laughter to our home. He has learned to play fetch with his toy balls. We absolutely adore him. He has become a good companion for our other cat Lidiya too.
I have been so busy with my job in the school district that I will have to wait until the summer to add photos to the Adoption Status page.
Thanks again for checking on the status of Hunter in his new home. It has been a very positive experience with him. I do not have any problems or concerns.
10/27/13 Thanks for checking how Hunter is doing in his new home. He is doing great! we all love his personality. He has also bonded well with his new feline friend Lidiya!

Notes from Home
All,

Thanks for checking in with us and the girls! Sophi is quite the pistol! Eight yrs old and runs around the house with boundless energy. She has quite enjoyed chasing her new brother, Ching, who still does not quite know what has hit him:))). Sophi and her sister, Tula, continue to be quite the close siblings, though they will strike out on their own and wander the house, but always come back together after a short time.

She has quite the appetite and has very much enjoyed her "wet food" daily treat, along with sister, Tula. Ching does not partake, so more for them!!!

Sophi also has discovered the master bedroom bed and is also quite comfortable with her new sleeping arrangements!! She pushes Tula out of the way, mostly with headbutts, to get to the closest body in bed to snuggle!

I have tried to upload pictures to share but believe the file is too large, so will continue to try so you can see the girls!

Thanks for checking in on Sophi and Tula! Will continue to keep you updated.!

Notes from Home
All,

Thanks for checking in on Tula and Sophi! What a quick month. The girls have been an absolutely joyful addition to our family and they have made themselves quite at home!

Tula continues to be a constant lap cat, perfectly content to find a "knee" as Jo (her foster Momma) would say or any empty lap. She purrs constantly and remains a vigilant big sister to Sophi.

Tula has found the master bedroom to be her favorite night time respite and has placed herself right in the middle of the bed and brings toys with her to bed....)

Tula also enjoys any additional table food that may fall her way....she has a sophisticated palate thanks to Jo!!!!

Thank you for all the support through the adoption process. We are thrilled to be a part of Tula's life!

WATSON
I am one spectacular, loving, awesome cat. Although I look much older, I'm only still a kitten.. but if you look at the size of my paws, I'm going to be a big boy! I'm super healthy, very vocal, very playful, and very excited to leap into your arms for a snuggle.

I had a great home with people who thought I was the bees knees, but I was having some problems with the girl kitty who was adopted with me. I liked her and all, but I would prefer to have you all to myself. Foster Mom says it's OK and that she'll teach me good manners all over again before I go home. She says that I'm a "magazine cover cat" and has already gotten my Halloween costume ready.

I like kids, even little ones, and I'm good with dogs too. I MIGHT be OK with an older cat or another male who won't compete for your love.

PS: I know that I look dark in my photos, but I have big pink paw pads so I'm definitely a chocolate. Except for my points growing in a bit more, I'll never get much darker and my body will stay creamy white.
Notes from Home
Firecracker has been home for almost a full week now and he continues to steal his Mama's heart! :-) He has been renamed to Watson, inspired by Dr. Watson from Sherlock and Holmes for his inquisitive, intelligent and refined nature. He is such a lovebug and enjoys being held often. He plays a lot with his talking ball and feather toy - from his foster Mama Jamie - and just loves to race around the apartment! He seems to be settling in very nicely and I couldn't be happier having him with me! Thank you to everyone at the Siamese Rescue Center for your help throughout this process. I've attached some pictures since he's been home and will update with more as time goes on. :-)

CHARLETON
Charleton is such a formal name for a little guy like me. Foster Mom just calls me Charlie. Now that I've gotten settled in and getting to know my surroundings, I'm showing everybody that the little stuff here is feisty. I like to flirt with Mom when she comes into the room and roll around and play, but when I catch sight of the bigger boys, I give a little growl to let them know who is boss. I liked the kitties that the good samaritan who rescued me had, but Mom won't let me play with the others here just yet. It won't be long, though. Check out my other pictures.

Purrs,
Charlie

JAXYN
Just got here and got my bath - wasn't too thrilled with the shower head but the water in the cup was super interesting and I kept trying to stick my head in there and check it out. I purred the whole time I was being dried. I come with some extras too - toes that is! Yup got some extra on my front feet - I think that balances me out since my tail is short!
Notes from Home
Jaxyn continues to be "our darling boy", but like any child or pet he is sometimes unpredictable and not easy to understand. Sometimes he is loving and purring and sometimes he just wants to be left alone and lets you know that in no uncertain terms. He will still occasionally bite at us when we try to remove him from someplace he wants to be. He seems to know our every move and anticipates them by running to the room he thinks we're going to (and he's usually right ), He sleeps with us and headbutts us very early in the morning when he wants his breakfast. This is one smart cat.

We're still so happy to have Jax and can't imagine life without him

10/19/13 Jaxyn has a new brother. Our grandson could not keep his 7 year old cat because of allergy problems in the household. Crespo came to live with us 4 weeks ago and thought he was going to be the Alpha cat. This did not go over well with Jaxyn since he has been ruling the roost since he got here in May. Time has taken care of the problems and now they are true brothers, playing sometimes, fighting sometimes. The fighting is more play than fight. As soon as I learn how to get pictures from my phone to Jaxyn's webpage I will send pictures.
