ABBIE
Hey there!

After being found in a feral colony, I was slow to come around, hissing and not liking people in general. I just preferred to be left alone. Now, 4 weeks later, I purr when foster mommy pets me and will even lay on her lap. I no longer run in fear or hiss. While I still have a ways to go, I would love to find a forever home that can take it really slow and let me go at my own pace. Foster mommy says no dogs or kids and says I must have a quiet home.

Foster mommy wants everyone to know that I am perfect with the box. She also says that I have bunny soft fur.

Girls just wanna have fun.... Part 2.

Abbie thinks it's Spring already..... she is full of vim and vinegar.... romping and NASCAR zoomies and sproinnnggging the door stops, and sharpening her claws on everything. Cuddles with me but won't let me pet her. I barely touched her, and she went flying off .... dragged her little sleeping bag around the house. Like "I'm moving!!" She's adorable.

SIMON
I'm a cutie! YES I AM!

Been loved and snuggled and starting to explore the room a little although get scared of those 2 legged giants when they first come in my foster room. Foster mom can't figure out what I was doing all by myself in a very bad section of town. Rescue man saved me and got me to a nice lady who kept me until I could get into Siamese Rescue. Just take a look in my eyes and you will know all I want is my mommy! Are you her? I am doing just great here, but my very own home would be just perfect.

Got a mouse on a wire... I am yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I changed Willie/Simons name to Odie. Odie is what I wanted from the beginning but family didn't like it. After calling him everything except Simon I said thats it and his name is Odie. My husband calls him bandit at time because of his mask. He is sooo cute and funl. It has taken him some time feeling comfortable around here but is coming around really well. He is really close to me, two weeks he started climbing onto my chest when I get in my bed at night and purrs like crazy, Last night was the first night he climbed between my arm and body and fell asleep, I woke up to his purring. He still gets spooked but he knows this is home for him. He is such a blessing!

JACK
Jumping Jack Flash, I'm not, but more Jack the meek and mild :) I arrived very scared of everything but now am blossoming. I get out and explore the foster room and love to get scratches/petting from foster mom. I talk a little bit and love to play with wand toys and little fuzzy mice.

Notes from Home
It has been two weeks since Jack joined our family. He is still very timid and startles very easily but each day I see some improvement. He plays with us regularly but also keeps one eye open at all times to make sure neither of us attack him! He is eating well and his litter box habits are great. He feels more comfortable "hidden"....the red letter day was when he came out from under the couch and went into his "cube" instead....at least we could see him! He spends most of his time there....but that is a vast improvement from where he started, as he would sleep in his litter box when he first arrived! All in all, I think he is coming to the conclusion (albeit slowly) that this is a pretty good gig!

It has now been one month since Jack joined our family. He is now very comfortable within our home, unless we have company where he immediately looks worried and hides.....my guess is that will never change. He is happiest when we play with him but entertains himself quite nicely. The big moment this week was when he jumped into my lap uninvited. He didn't stay long but it is a major step. He purrs quite often now, even when held and yet even then, he is very stiff and can't wait to get down.

It has been one year since Jack joined our family and he is doing quite well. He will always be a shy, suspicious little guy but he is very gentle and even joins me on my lap for naps now and then. He is very playful and his favorite toy is the feather wand I purchased from Siamese Rescue.

PRECIOUS
Well I'm in out of the cold. It was tough out there and I've got the missing right ear tip to prove it. How someone could abandon a sweet, lovable , playful, purrful kitty like me ; well one only wonders. I purr, play, love to be petted, and have my belly rubbed. When I went to the vet I was purring up a storm and the vet had to cup my mouth so she could hear my heart , I was just loving that body exam she gave me.

I'm much happier now that I'm in out of the cold and being taken care of and loved but I need to find someone that deserves a wonderful kitty like me furever. My standards are high because I'm worth it. I tell ya what, the right person is going to get a steal.

Precious is a wonderful, well mannered addition to our family. Since her adoption she has helped us welcome a little girl & a little boy human to our family, as well as a doggie member. She is the most friendly cat ever!! She loves her humans & sleep at the top of meow-moms pillow every night. We love our Precious!
It is with great sadness and grief that we report our family lost our best kitty pal this January 2015. She was a true companion youngest to eldest. Her human sisters talk of her and miss her daily.

Sincerely,
Hermann Family

MR. MCLOVIN
Hi! I'm Lucky! Yes I really am! I was lost and then found by someone who took me in, but couldn't keep me so they called Siamese Rescue, and here I am! All clean and sweet smelling now, and waiting for my forever home.
I'm healthy, young, and handsome, says foster mom. I love to play and know what my litterbox is for, and have a good appetite. I still need to get my "education", but then I'll be ready to go.
Better ask about me quick, because Meowmy said I won't be here long.

Purrs,
Lucky

LEXIE
Hello everyone!

My name is Lexie and I used to live outside. When I came to foster mommy's house, I was really scared. Now, I am starting to think that people are ok and even a good thing! I love to get pets and attention. I give foster mommy kisses and greet her when she comes in my room. I feel much more relaxed. I'm still shy, especially of new people, so I'll need a quiet house and someone who will be patent and allow me to get used to my new surroundings and new family.

3/2/15. Lexi arrived Saturday evening after a long trip from Tennessee. She did amazing in the car considering it was 9/10 hrs. She is still very scared. She will let us give pets and I receive lots of slow blinks. Every time I enter the room she hides under the milly bed that she is not sleeping in. She is in the bedroom that our grandsons use when they have sleepovers. This morning when I came in I searched the whole room and couldn't find her. Finally after a few minutes, I looked up in the top bunk and there she was starring at me! She is eating and drinking finally. Great litter box habits even while on our road trip. I sit and talk to her during our visits many times a day. Can't wait until she comes to me for pets.
What a sweet baby girl😻

3/5/15. Lexi is more comfortable everyday. She comes to us within 1 min of entering the room for pets. I offered her wet food and she ate it like it was her last meal. In fact, she licked the bowl so clean, it didn't need to be washed! Lol Her brother Tucker snuck in last evening as we're were telling her goodnight. He growled twice, she acted like she wanted a kiss! We let him visit again or rather he pushed the door open, and they did so good. We put up a gate so she could visit one more room near hers. We are taking it slow but, can't wait til she can be apart of the family together.

3/9/15. Well the intro to new brother was very successful on Friday. We went from one room upstairs to 3 rooms and on Monday we introduced the second floor. She is very jumpy at every noise, sneeze, creek you name it. She stays under the sofa. She comes out only after talking to her within 10-45 min. She loves pets and purrs up a storm but, if she is spooked she runs and hides and we start all over again. It will be a long process to learn the sounds of our home and to gain trust that she is safe and loved. Her first vet appt is Saturday, don't know how Im going to catch her. I will let you know:)

3/16/15. Everything is going great! She gets more and more confidant everyday. She seems not to be so jumpy. She doesn't like noises, runs and hides but, comes right back. This morning was her first morning she came to the kitchen for breakfast as I was making my coffee. That made me smile :) she has learned her brothers bad habit of getting up on the counter :( She also had her first visit to the vet on Saturday, all went well!! Very healthy and actually lost a pound which is good since the Doc said she is a little pundge. She has been jumping up on the sofa looking for pets and actually started laying next to my leg And with her Daddy too! Loves her toys and playing with Tucker. Sweet girl😻

Tooo cute! Now that it's springtime in VA, I packed my bags and left Florida where I wintered, and now am searching for my forever home in this area (or further north fine too!) I'm a super lovebug, smaller guy who is happy to play or snuggle!

Sheldon is doing fantastic! He only stops purring when he is asleep. He rubs on us and gives kisses! He eats fine, plays with toys and cuddles. What a wonderful cat. He and our other cat are showing a healthy curiosity under the door but will not meet yet. We all love him very much!

3/29/14-It is our 2 week anniversary with Sheldon and he is going great! The vet took his stitches out and it is so nice to see his eyes. He is playing well with our other cat, Lucy and they have not had the slightest disagreement. Sheldon does not seem to be a lap sitter but he does sleep in our bed at night and (like a good Siamese) tells us when to go to bed and when to wake up. He spends a lot of time playing with toys. Sheldon holds his own with the dog, too!

3/15/2015
It is hard to believe Sheldon has been with us for a year. He is a wonderful part of our family. The most unique thing about him is his vocalizations. They range from "Ooh," "Mm," and "Er," to musical sounds and an occasional Meow when he really needs to get someone's attention. He sleeps in our bed most nights and often wakes us up with antics such as sitting on our heads or licking our ears or noses accompanied by LOUD purring. It would be annoying if it wasn't so cute! He does sit on laps at times but usually likes to display his affection by rubbing or falling at our feet.

By far, Sheldon loves playing the most. He will play with any and all cat toys and entertains himself and us. His favorite toys are small rubber balls which he carries by mouth to the hardwood floors so he can drop them and hear them bounce and chase them around. Then he proceeds to hide them around the house where they are lost forever. Somewhere there are about 50 balls.

Sheldon is buddies with our other cat, Lucy and is not at all afraid of our dog, which he displays daily by hiding and jumping out at him whenever possible. He has endured no health problems this year and we feel very fortunate to have him. <3

SAM ZANE
Howdy partner, Sam Zane here, ready to tell you my tale. I'm here in rescue looking for a place to call my own. I'm a big blue pt fella with lots of love to give. Foster pawpaw keeps saying I'm a real man's kind of cat, don't know what he means by that, I like everyone! Big, small doesn't matter to me. I'm not really much of a lap cat but I always like to be right beside you where ever you go. I'll keep you company by following you around, talking in these little trills and chirps that foster meowmy says are so cute. She also says I'm a world class snuggle partner cause I like to sleep in bed with you under the blankets. I get along with other cats, even like the woofers who are here. I'm a big laidback kind of meezer, still like to play though. You ought to see how I can dance after that feather wand. Anyone here looking for a no issue, easy going kind of guy look no further, I promise not to disappoint. Foster: Yvonne Congrats Carol C in SC!

Zane Gray crossed the bridge on March 10, 2015. He had been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Zane was the best cat and I was blessed to have many good years with him. He was the best advertisement that Siamese Rescue could have, a real ambassador. I will miss Zane.

FAITH
Hi, my name is Faith, and I have Faith that you have a lap for me to sit in and lots of pets and love to give me. I'm a little sad, though, because....well......where are you? Hurry! I love my foster home, but I'm ready to find that lap of my own. I promise, all I want is some good food, water to drink, a litter box, and a lap to sit in and call my own. Ask foster Mom about how sweet I am, but don't wait. I'm waiting and I don't want to wait too long.

Hello everyone. I am happy to update on Faith. She has come along well with us. She Lets us know when it is time to go to bed and also when it is time to get up in the morning. When we got Faith she had a few issues and I am happy to say that we have worked through most of it. The diahrea was a matter of getting her on healthier food. We cut out the corn and by products and went with meats fruits and vegetables as the main ingredients in her food. That has made a big difference. The other problem was throwing up. We have added a hairball formula to help with some of the issue. No quite over that issue yet but have reduced amount of times alot. She has finally gotten comfortable enough to sit on our laps. She does not like to be picked up at all. But hoping in time we can get around that. Still trying to find a favorite toy. She doesn't always want to play. I even get down on the floor with her and try to get her wound up. She really loves to dig receipts out of the trash and play with that. Faith also has a small cardboard box that she gets in and sits and plays with her tail. Faith really loves canned food but we keep that as more of a treat for her. She is also a very nosy kitty. Open a cupboard or drawer and she is there to see what is in their. I am so happy that we chose Faith. I love her and it is so awesome to look at that beautiful face and have a conversation with her. Some of you may remember that we have a bird also Bongo. The two of them are getting used to each other. Faith has gotten close enough to Bongo to take a swipe at his tail. I have also had both of them on my lap at the same time. That doesn't happen very often but its a start. Faith is very friendly with any one who comes to the house. I'd have to say that she is very at home with Tim and I. Someday I would love to adopt another cat. But for now I think Faith needs to be our everything. Thank You to everyone who made this possible for us.

Bernadette, Tim, and Faith

JULIANNA
Just as cute and playful as can be. Loving, good litter box habits and healthy!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
My vet and I agreed that Juliana's birthdate should be May 20, so tomorrow, October 20, Juliana will be 5 months old! This is a precious kitten who loves to eat, run all over the house and cuddle in my lap. She doesn't cuddle too long unless she is tired or sleepy but she just loves to be petted and have her chin scratched.
Although she has her own litter box and feeding bowls, often she just follows Vinnie (formerly named Frankie Blue Eyes) to his as if it were her own. My gentleman, Vinnie, just lifts his head and lets her eat. If he leaves she follows him around and I have noticed she mimics some of his habits, like curiling up her paw when she is lying down. The two Siamese get along very well although sometimes I break up their play when They get too noisy.
I recall that Julianna's Foster mom said there was nothing not to like about this kitten. She is so right!!
Anita, Rescue Mom
It is now March 14, 2015, and I am happy to report Julianna is still doing very well. She is a chubby little girl and just loves to eat. Sometimes I have to move her bowl to the counter where Vinny (formerly Frankie Blue Eyes) can jump up and eat. She has not figured out yet how to get up there. (This is a counter where I do not have human food). The cats still use each other's bowls and litter boxes and do not seem to mind. Fortunately, they get along very well.
Juliana's vet gave me tobramycin to put in her left eye (the one that is crossed) but I was not too successful in getting her to actually open her eye for the medication. The white of this eye is still pink looking and I will have it checked again at her next vet visit. It does not seem to bother her, though. One problem I have with her is that she does not want me to clip her nails. However, the vet office tells me that she is a darling when she is having her nails done there?? What's a mom to do !!
Juliana is wonderful and I am so glad I got her.
