Notes from Home
Hi everyone! Ronin, formerly "Taylor" here! It's almost that New year thing everyone keeps talking about so Mom figured we were long overdue to drop in and update everyone on my progress. It has been about 6 months and Mom and Dad said it was kinda iffy as to whether I would be able to stay with them at for a while. That made them sad. Seems I have something called a "dominant attitude" that was causing problems? They called me an "alpha personality" whatever THAT means.
Well, they remind me all the time how I have to remember to be nice to my sisters or I get time-outs. I don't mind time - outs, but I like to always be a part of things and know what's going on, so I try to avoid that. Plus even though I love to lay in the bathroom sink, I really hate getting squirted with the water bottle!!!
This was my first Xmas season ever and I sure do like that lit up table top cat toy tree that Mom and Dad got me. But why do they get mad at me and tell me "NO" every time I try to play with it??? My sisters like to play with it just as much as I do and they get told "NO" too! What gives??? It's a cat toy!!!
Speaking of sisters, there were two when I came here and then I got another one! She was unexpected. I love my sisters. We play all the time, wash each other and love to play chase. Mom and Dad often remind me to take it easy with them. They say I am being too much of a boy sometimes! But Mom... Dad.. I AM a boy! I think my sisters are just sissies sometimes, but I love them anyway.
Mom and Dad love me and my sisters and they spoil us a LOT! ( that's what they always say anyway- that we have it better than many humans do). Mom and Dad say I am a "mush" and a "cuddle bug" and that out of all four of us, I have the LOUDEST purr of all. Sometimes I purr at them just for looking at me! I love petting and cuddling and never get enough. They have funny nicknames for me like "Baby Boy", "Bear Cat" and "Wild Man" and "Mush Mellow." But I don't mind just as long as the love keeps coming my way and they do!
Life is good here and my favorite spot in the house is the big bay window that I love to lay in. There's a tree out there with a whole bunch of birds and squirrels who keep me entertained. Being in a nice, warm, loving, home with my family and watching the outdoors from inside is fine with me. So anyway, Mom, Dad, my three sisters and I all wanted to shout out a BIG thank you to ALL of the Siamese Rescue people (Hi Foster Mom Christine!) who helped bring us all together. You were all so good to me and we will always be grateful! Also Mom and Dad said something about wishing everyone a very "Happy New Year!" I think that the old year has been really good so far, but I am very open minded. Siamese Cat Rescue ROCKS!!! Purrrrrrrrrrrrs and head butts and love, Ronin and Family

BRAN
Just arrived. More information soon.
Notes from Home
Bran is the cutest thing ever, whatever he does and no matter how he does he does it with the most innocent and funniest gestures. He puts a smile on everyone that meets him and makes us laugh constantly. He loves to cuddle but quickly is more interested in anything moving around him and would give up almost anything to go play.. I said almost anything because food is still his number 1. He loooves to eat and doesn't fail to help me clean his plate entirely before handing it to me :))

It's been 6 months now (June 29, 2013) and they say that's when the honeymoon phase is over but I'm not sure it's true in our case! Arya and Bran have been such a blessing and although we know their good and bad habits by now, they have added so much love and laughter to our home that we love everything about them. And we must say they are the most well behaved kittens we've ever seen. They are so gentle, even when playing rough! Thank you all in the rescue center for making this happen for us and for your constant support! You are an amazing team! And amazing individuals!

ARYA
I have settled in easily but just don't like being confined. Want to meet the other kitties but will have to wait a bit longer. I talk to them and tell them I want out to run around and have fun. I am very outgoing and like lots of attention.

Arya is amazing... My husband and I have never seen a more loving and affectionate cat as her. She comes to us with her gorgeous face and looking straight at us with her charming greenish blue eyes and gives us hugs and kisses. Real kisses and hugs, it's unbelievably cute!! We love every moment with her..

OLIVER
I need you, you need me! What more is there to discuss? I am a long lanky boy who didn't get enough attention the first time around, and I'm used to being pushed away and shoved off. What I'd really like is to climb in your lap and know that you want me! I manage with other cats but not too many of them please; I am easily overwhelmed and lost in the shuffle, and my preference is by far people - could I be cuddled, loved, paid attention to please? I would adore that!
Notes from Home
Oliver was given a warm welcome from his new family. We've decided to keep his fitting name. Although nervous, he bravely explored his new environment and met his new furry friends. He quickly made my room his comfort zone and home, spending most of his first week and a half sleeping and eating and getting to know his new Mommy. Oliver is now venturing outside of his room. He explores the home in the evenings and hangs out with his new feline friend every morning as they wait for their breakfast. Siamese cats are definitely unique. It's hard to ever live without one once you've opened your heart to one. I'll never forget my sweet Siamese boy Samson who came into mine and my family's hearts 5 years ago. He was an old man but he was spoiled rotten the last few years of his life in his new home and became an unforgettable companion to me. After losing him earlier this year, I knew I would eventually have to find a new Siamese boy to fill the empty void. Oliver has done just that. Although different in many ways, he will be just as loved, if not already. He's quickly opening up and I can't wait to see more of his wonderful personality and character in years to come.

Notes from Home
12.18.2009 Finally, I am living the life worthy of a Siamese Diva. Although I've only been here a week now, I know I fallen into the lap of luxury. Currently I am ensconced in the master bedroom suite. I have everything I desire including a window seat where I can watch the horses in their paddocks and a full length mirror where I can watch myself. Watching myself in the mirror is my new favorite pastime because I really am beautiful, aren't I!?! I also have lots of toys to play with, regular room and housekeeping services, and my own bed, although I much prefer sharing the big one with Mom and Dad. They are really great, by the way. They attend to my every need and will sit for hours playing with me or just enjoying my company. Being a proper diva, I started out being somewhat aloof towards them, but I couldn't keep that up for very long. They treat me too well and love me too much to not do and feel the same in return.

The only thing that has happened to me since I've been here that I didn't like was a trip to the vet for a check-up. Thankfully it was a fairly quick affair and, except for noting a slight case of gingivitis, Dr. McGrath gave me a clean bill of health. She said I was one of the nicest rescue kitties she's ever seen. She was also very complimentary of the Siamese Cat Rescue Center and said that she wouldn't have any qualms recommending it to her clients. I thought that was pretty neat because I will always hold the SCRC in a special place in my heart. They did, after all, take me from rags to riches. It truly is a wonderful life.

12.26.2009 Merry Christmas everyone! I know I'm a day late, but I was way too busy yesterday to sit and write an update. I had presents to unwrap, new toys to play with, dinner to help cook, and, of course, naps to take. The weather was too nasty for Mom and Dad to work the horses, so they spent the day inside with me. We lost electricity just before noon, but it really didn't matter. The three of us spent the lovely day on the coach in front of the fire with a good book and a glass of fine wine.

In addition to celebrating our Savior's birth, this week I was given free rein of the entire house. I know this was way ahead of schedule, but I really hated being cooped up by myself. Don't get me wrong. The master bedroom suite is quite palatial, but I wanted to be with Mom and Dad more during the day. So, last Saturday, they started introducing me to my four-legged siblings and the rest of the house. At first, I would head back to the bedroom if something concerned me, but now nothing much concerns me except maybe when the dogs get too loud and boisterous.

I absolutely love it here. Mom and Dad are always on hand to make sure I have everything I need. I have tons of room to play and lots of warm and cozy places to sleep. Plus, I have a new boyfriend. His name is Roscoe and he is an absolute dreamboat. I wasn't really nice to him when we first met, though. I hissed and ran away, mainly because he looked so big and imposing. Now that I've gotten to know him, he's really wonderful. He's there when I need him, but will let me have my space when I want to be alone. He's the perfect companion for a diva like me. Ah yes, life is good!

01.01.2010 Happy New Year Everyone! And it is a happy new year in my neck of the woods. I have a forever home with a loving Mom and Dad, a new boyfriend who worships the ground I walk on, regular meals, a warm bed, and even the dogs now acknowledge I am the queen who must be obeyed. If this isn't Siamese diva heaven, I don't know what is. I think 2010 is going to be my best year ever.

I have a confession to make, though. The other day Mom left really early in the morning to go visit her sister. Dad wasn't awake yet, so before she left, she made sure Roscoe and I had our breakfast. Well, when Dad finally got up, I told him Mom had forgotten to feed us. Not only did he feed us again, he feed us twice our normal ration. When Mom got home, she noticed the empty cans in the trash and asked Dad where the food had gone. Boy was he miffed when he discovered I had fibbed to him. I know I shouldn't have, but I just love to eat so much. It's my third favorite thing to do after looking at myself in the mirror and sleeping in the bed with Mom and Dad. Oh well, I guess I won't be able to pull that trick again.

01.14.2010 Marlee's social calendar has been so packed full of play engagements and dinners with her boyfriend, Roscoe, that she's been unable to find the time to post an update. So, I figured I would post one for her. This is Diane, Marlee's two-legged mom here to say that Marlee is doing very well. She's healthy and pretty much at home now. She's about come to terms with the smelly canines with whom she's forced to share her palace although her residual displays of disdain may all be a facade as I caught her in the living room playing with Sully a few days ago.

She still doesn't talk much, but has a wonderful purr which she invokes at the drop of a hat these days. Right now she is curled up in her bed across the room from me, but I can hear her purring from here. I think she's happy with her life with us. If not, she's doing a pretty darn good imitation of a meezer whom has just received the keys to the kingdom. :-)

I can't thank the SCRC enough for bringing Marlee into our lives. We love her dearly.

12.06.10 Hey Everybody. It's Marlee here. Yes, I'm sure you thought I was long lost, but I've just been having too much fun to stop and write a note. I can't believe that, in six days, it will be a year since I was adopted by the best mom and dad in the whole wide world. They love me unconditionally, no matter what. I have everything a diva could ask for. And, I've even accepted the smelly canines that hang around here as my brother and sister fur-siblings. Life is definitely good. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. I know I will. Thank you SCRC for giving me everything I've ever wanted and more.

11.25.11 Just a quick note to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving! It's been almost two years since SCRC found me the most purrr-fect home in the world. I love, love, love it here. I still reign supreme as the queen diva and my mom and dad worship the ground I walk on. Yes, life is good!

12.29.13 My how the time flies. I am still as happy as a clam where nobody's digging for it here at my forever home. As proof, I asked mom to take a picture of me and Roscoe together in one of our favorite chairs. She told me we looked like one cat with two heads, but that's okay. Sometimes I just can't get close enough to my boyfriend. Thanks again to all of the hard working members of the Siamese Rescue. You guys are the best!

MILLIE (FKA MILKY)
Foster mum says I am a wonderfully well adjusted cat, and I can pick my new family whenever I am ready. UPDATE: I found them, my purr-fect family! I'm going to have 2 big bro-furrs and a mom and I'll be daddy's girl. I'll be home for Christmas - for real, not only in my dreams.

I didn't mind the car ride, the carrier was comfortable and warm. It sure was a lot quieter than at the shelter. And when foster mum showed me my room, O my gosh, I have a whole room and more, all to myself.

Right now I'm doing some exploring and checking out everything. I have found all kinds of toys and have been very busy playing with everything.

I would love to find a family with lots of time, or people, to play with me. I really love to chase the feather wand toy. I even try to retrieve the feathers for you. I will cherish all the catnip toys you offer me, I love catnip. I won't be a pest about getting on top of you, I'm happy just to have you near me. I don't want to be lonely ever again.

Notes from Home
Millie was a Birthday present from my wife who wanted me to have the same love she has received from her two male Siamese. From the day I brought her home we bonded almost immediately. She loves to play with her wand and hiss at her brothers. After two weeks she and the boys are getting along and Millie has the full run of the house. She is just a joy and I feel she is all mine! She will sit on my lap, something the boys never did, and she will sleep next to me at night. Millie does like men which is what we were hoping for. She was a great placement! I feel she is as happy with us as we are with her.

Notes from Home
Sir Alastair is now 7.5 lbs! Gained one pound in two weeks. He is VERY active; always in to something; happy as he can be and friends with Col Gray. Never met a stranger. When I have friends or others over, he wants to be in the middle of everything!! Has learned to sleep all night from my other two. When I say "bedtime" he is right there and likes to sleep under the covers. We are a happy family.....

5/2/13. Sir Alastair made it to 9.1 lbs in April. After being a "door darter" for two weeks, he and I finally learned how to keep that from happening. I play with his wand for couple of minutes before leaving and he is happy! He and the other kids are now on my deck (way up!) in mornings. Alastair loves to watch the geese; the birds tease him, and just simply laying in the sun.....He is becoming a wonderful teenager/young adult. So gorgeous, very particular about his coat, lap cat, and climber!! Still sleeps under the covers....

6/30/13
What a mess I am! I am very intelligent, can make my human laugh and curse, love the other kitties in my house, eat like I have missed meals daily, now weigh 10.5 lbs, still have my very blue eyes and pink nose and paw pads! I had my first chance to meet all my human's relatives over Memorial weekend and had a ball! Never a dull moment and all the attention I would ever want. Tried to sleep with the brother, who doesn't like to sleep with pets -- I just returned to Mom and curled up like I had never tried anything else!

When my human had to go away for work in June, two of her friends took care of me and my cohorts. Even tho I know that jumping on kitchen counters is a "no no" I took the opportunity to scare them witless with my HIGH jumps!! When they told me to get "down," I just smiled, laid down on the counter and looked cute. Both friends just laughed at me -- so I got away with it again!

I LOVE playing with my wand, pulling down towels from bath rods (!), curling up with Colonel Gray, getting my ears scratched when my human is in the bathroom and sleeping under the covers. Miss Little Bit has taught me a new joy. When my human is sitting, just appear in front of her, turn around and put your rear end in the air for a scratch -- it feel soooo good! I also like to jump on the computer when she is working to get attention. AND, getting on top of refrigerator, china cabinet and my climbing tree are also favorite things.

I am now a really handsome boy who loves my life and my vet thinks I am something really special! So does my Mom.....
Love, Sir Alastair

8/26/13
Alastair had a birthday August 22. He is 1 year old! a teenager with all the angst, energy and playfulness of a teen! I am uploading photos since he is such a looker now! He loves on Miss Little Bit, plays with Colonel Gray until they are both worn out and loves two neighbor dogs -- one a greyhound! Is now right at 11 pounds and will eat anything in site. Still doesn't like getting nails clipped but stands it when in the mood. Loves his climbing tree by the window and his toys. Sleeps with Colonel Gray and me every night. What a joy he is. Thank you, Siamese Cat Resciue Center for my little mess of a Siamese. We adore each other.....

12/28/2013. It is hard to believe I have been with Mom for a year. I am a gorgeous 12 lb boy who loves to play,, loves my fur mates, loves my neighbors' dogs (there are 5 around here who love to come visit me!) and loves my Meowmom! My vet thinks I am one of the most handsome boys she has ever seen! Play, oh do I play all day, every day! But at night I love to cuddle on Mom's lap and sleep under the covers. Christmas is one of my favorite times. I love my tree w/ all the lights. Mom put some decorations low so I can bat them around. I'm happy, healthy and love my life! Thank you, Jane and Marcie for helping me fine my forever home!!!!

Notes from Home
Mandi has been with us almost 2 weeks now. She is a sweetheart. She is a talker and makes her wishes known. She is eatting well. We have started the intergration process. She'll have her Vet visit next week. We are so happy to have her in our family.
We have now had Mandi one month. She is getting along great and sleeps with us every night. She is a little princess and still growls at the other cats but doesn't seem bothered by them. She is getting more comfortable everyday. She's had her Vet visit and all is good. She isn't afraid of strangers either. We are so tickled to have her and love on her. She is HOME!!!!!!!!
8/6/12
We have had Mandi 3 months today. She continues to do great! She ventered downstairs yesterday on her own for the first time. She is very very vocal, very very siamese. She loves to be petted and does flips for us when she gets her loving. She is a picky eater but we have found the right combo for her. We just love this little girl. She is very special. She ignors the other cats except the seal snowshoe Diva Maggie May Va 7478 and she is very vocal at her!
11/6/12
Wow its hard to believe we have had Mandi 6 months already. She has us very well trained. She is still just such a sweet girl. She is very vocal and very siamese but what not to like. Thank you Siamese rescue for saving this little girl and allowing us to have her in our life. She is fully intergated with the other cats and doesn't seem to mind them either. She sleeps under the covers with us every night. The bed is her throne.
3/4/13 Mandi has been with us almost 10 months. She is such a wonderful wonderful cat. She has FINALLY figured out how to come down the stairs by herself. She is such a vocal little girl. Its neat. We just love her sooooo soooooo much. She has to be with a person all the time. Thank you SCRC and her wonderful foster Mom Heida for saving such a

wonderful geezer. I can't imagine our lives without her. Geezers really do rock!
5/6/13
Wow 1 year with this wonderful geezer girl. She has wrapped her little paws around our hearts. She is just suc wonderful little girl. Getting ready to schedule her Vet visit.Hopefully we will have many many more years with her.

Little Miss Leia is settling right in at home. She has completed her inspection of the facilities and seems very happy with the toys, cat trees and her new humans. A few days yet until she meets the resident feline ladies face to face, but we have no concerns. I am sure she'll win them over just like she has us! She is so funny and adorable! Loves to play "toe tiger" with feet under the bedcovers. We're really looking forward to her final integration with the rest of the kitties. Thanks again for letting us adopt such an awesome little girl!

Dec 2013: Leia is doing great! She has long since won over all the other kitties and is such a sweet, friendly, playful girl. She loves to snuggle both on the couch and in bed. She is an absolute champion at playing fetch and brings toys over to play with. She is awesome!

KOKO
Easy going, friendly guy who has lived with cats, dogs and kids- bring them on!!!!! And please don't forget the catnip! Videos uploading today, ask about me status this evening!
Notes from Home
12-26-13: Koko has adjusted to his new home very readily. Right away he showed a great affinity for laps and remains very interested in anybody in a seated position. He has become more vocal in the last week or so, which I am interpreting as a sign that he is getting even more comfortable with me. He self-regulates his food well and uses his litter box appropriately, so he is quite easy to care for. Oh, and I have chosen to rename him Nix, which is the Latin for for snow, inspired by his snowshoe points.
