BACCI
Hi I'm Bacci, and that's "kiss" in Italian. So far, that's all foster mommy manages to do - kiss kiss kiss. I'm still a little shy, but I'm learning to like this posh life real fast! I've already broken in all of my toys and I'm ready for some company! I should be ready to go home in mid-July, so mark your calendar and ask about me!

Gemini aka Bacci is one diva of a meezer and spoiled as well. She is head strong and loves to cuddle and give kisses. She loves to eat treats and play with mice and balls.

ASHBY
I play with my sister and then I snuggle with her to sleep. We would make a really nice pair of kittens if we can stay together. No more than a one day transport for someone as little as I am.

Notes from Home
Hi Everyone! Life is great for me Ashby and Gidget here in Maryland. They are both still very healthy and happy. A little on the chubby-side, I guess due to apartment living. They love to sun on my balcony.

THEIA
Isn't anyone out there looking for a sweet, interactive gal who will greet you at the door when you come home from work? How about a gal who will follow you around the house telling you about her day and listen to you tell about yours? One that will hang out with you when you are reading or watching a movie? Those are just a couple of the things that I do best. If you ask about me Foster Mom will tell you all the things that make me special.

PS and my weight loss program is working! I'll be svelte before you know it!

UPDATE
7/8/2015
Wow we cannot believe a year has gone by already! We are happy to report that Theia is a well adjusted, healthy member of our family. She had her well lady exam two weeks ago and is down to 12 lbs. The vet is happy with this, as are we, so we are going to maintain that figure. She is susceptible to crystals in her urine. As such, she is on a prescription diet, and that is going very well for her. She is hilarious at meal time. While Miles (also from SCRC; he LOVES his food) is losing his mind waiting for his food, Theia waits calmly and patiently next to her meow-meow mat for her bowl. She knows it is coming and she figures a lady is supposed to be patient.

She still hates thunderstorms and hides in the basement under the stairs when one rolls through. She also has "stranger danger" and will hide when people she does not know are over. However, if they feed her, they are a-ok in her book!! Other than that, she wants to be around her family constantly. She has bonded a lot with Meowm, and spends most of the days in Meowm's office sleeping. When Meowm isn't working, she sits in her lap or snuggles next to her, and she sleeps every night next to Meowm as well. She also loves Paw Paw and will snuggle with him to watch a fishing show or two.

Theia loves to play fetch! She has this old, beat up leopard print ball that is so torn up we nicknamed it "ratty ball." She will bring her ball to us and place it at our feet, on our computers, on the couch, etc., and then she gives a single meow. She is quite good at it, and we think this exercise is one of the contributing factors to her weight loss. She also brings it to bed each night and sleeps with it. Yes, the ball is gross, but she loves it so much we cannot bear to toss it out. If the toys are put away, she will physically dig it out from the pile. She *loves* ratty ball!

She and Miles get along very well, although they will often tussle over, of all things, a sunbeam. They both love them and cannot figure out that there is typically more than one in which to lay in. Thankfully they have learned there are plenty of sunbeams to go around, so now they usually just lay in them together. Theia and Kitty still get along at a distance. Kitty is going on 18 years at this point, so she's not up for play with anyone.

Theia is the only cat I've ever encountered who loves a belly rub. She is quite funny, often rolling over and looking at you like "Hey...it's not gonna rub itself!!" So, we give her lots of belly rubs, and scritches. She also will turn her head around and look at you upside down. She's just such a funny cat.

I have attached some pictures of our quirky, sweet girl that we have taken over the past year. We are delighted to have her in our family. Thank you SCRC for helping Theia find her fur-ever home!!

Things are going REALLY well with Theia. She and Miles get along very well, and are constantly sniffing and chirping/meowing at one another. Mr Kitty will still hiss every now and again but there have been no paw swipes or aggression, and it doesn't seem to bother Theia a bit when Kitty is grumpy. For Kitty's part, Theia doesn't try to engage her at all, and that is fine by her. I think after Miles trying to engage her CONSTANTLY, Theia is a welcome change for Kitty :)

Theia has started settling into the daily routine around the house. All 3 cats are eating together in the morning, although Theia eats considerably less than Miles or Mr Kitty. She has also started to sit in laps the last couple of days. She often just sits on the floor or on a table in the family room, watching everyone, and she is a big fan of the toy mice. When we talk to her, she will often give a single meow back, and there are lots of headbutts, and purrs. We discovered last week that she does not like thunderstorms, and hides under the bed during them. Under the bed is her preferred sleeping location for daytime naps, and Miles will often join her. At night she sleeps in the bed with us. She passed her vet exam with flying colors, and is down below 14 lbs. Still has some weight to lose, but we are still heading in the right direction. She was VERY vocal en route to the vet as well as going home. She doesn't like the cat box at all.

So far, so good!! We are thrilled to have her as part of our family.
Melanie and I.V.

DOBBY
I am a shy seal boy looking for another kitten or young cat to be my playmate and a forever home. I need patience and time to adjust and foster mom is helping me with that. It will be at least a month before I can go home. I have to get big enough to have some type of surgery. Foster mom says it is important so I guess I will just wait to see. I

More to come as I grow and show more of my personality.

Notes from Home
This little guy is a ball of energy.
Finally he's decided that naps are good and does take frequent ones.
Have a little trouble with biting but he'll grow out of that.
Eats well, sleeps well. and as per usual, pet when tired.
Gets along with the other cats but moves way to fast for the older boys.
I think he's bonding well, using the big covered boxes without a problem, eating up a storm.
Happy little kitten.
Dobby has been so much fun! We were in Alaska at his 6 month anniversary. It was the first time we left him and he let us know he was not happy when we got home! He has gained 8 pounds in 6 months. Needless to say he loves to eat everything and anything and we are trying to keep him from overeating. He is an active and confident young cat. At 11 pounds it's hard to think of him as a kitten. He and San Remo are best buddies. Dolchedo usually doesn't pay much attention to him. Summer thinks he is a pain and he loves to chase her! He likes to be with us and is very interactive and talkative, but is not a cuddle boy- too busy!!!
He had a recent vet visit because we were concerned with his panting when he plays or gets excited. Poor little guy has athsma!!. It is mild enough that he does not need treatment for now and it doesn't slow him down. We love our little guy. He has been a good addition to the cat family.

SUMMER
Are you a special adopter? One who can appreciate my Tortie-tude and non-stop activities; and overlook my teeny imperfections because I'm so stunningly beautiful to look at? (oops, did I say that out loud?) That's what foster mom says I need, so if you're that special person click on ask about me to find out more.

Notes from Home
Summer is making progress, only took her a month to figure out the cat door. Goes out with her foot and her ear.
Shes a doll, reminds us so much of Cayuga, i guess kittens have all the same mannerisms, shes still special. One of these days she'll become a cat.

Summer is a little white streak of energy! She's always up for a new adventure. She thinks her name is Summer,NO!. She stops bad behavior when caught, but never promises not to do it again. Her 3 older siamese brothers all play with her- even the 17 year old. San Remo is her partner in crime.
We are working on the scratching and standing to use her litter box but haven't seen much change since we have had her. She sleeps with us and will let us pet her but she is not a cuddle cat.
She is up and going by 6am and doesn't stop until mid afternoon. Is that normal for a cat not to nap?
We love her to pieces-bad behavior and all. She is just too cute and very entertaining.
3 years with Summer. WOW! She is just as cute now as the day she arrived. She has calmed down some but not by her choice. She spends her time avoiding her annoying little brother Dobby. We forgot to ask her if she wanted a playmate. He is a pain right in her tortie!!!! She causes half of the ruckus with her drama!
Our only concern with her is keeping her from getting stressed because she will get her sterille systitislike the time we tried to giver her hairball meds! Can you tell who runs the show around here? Mani-pedis are a no-no too. We love our wacky little girl.

CAPONE
Oh my major love cat!!!! I'm very easy going, happy go lucky, friendly and cuddly, and adjusted immediately. Nothing not to like here! And if you have any catnip toys, nope, they are not safe from me! I love to snuggle and cuddle, and watch hopefully that you will choose me to give your attention to!!!!

Hello all! This afternoon we took Capone to the see vet for a check up and everything looked normal, with the exception of his ears being dirty. The vet said we should keep an eye on it but don't need to do anything further at this point in time. Capone weighed in at 13.4lbs. He's settling in very well, He likes to explore everything, jump up on counters/tables, follow us around, play with his toys and of course eat :)

CASSANOVA
I've sure been through a lot lately. I was taken to a shelter with my mom and aftter a long stay we were adopted by a nice lady. Then she adopted a few more kittens and realized that there were too many of us for her to care for properly so she returned all of us. I know I didn't do anything wrong but there I was, back in the shelter. Lucky for me they called Siamese Rescue. Foster mom says I'm a lover and that's why she calls me Cassanova. She says my big blue eyes melt her heart, and that's good because that's exactly what I was going for. UPDATE: I'm out of isolation now and I just love being with the other cats! I will have to have a home where there is at least one other cat to play with. I'm sweet and well-mannered, handsome and easy going--what more could you ask for?! Love, Cassanova Foster: Carole Congrats Peggy in SC!

I lost my beautiful Nova on July 3. He was a great cat - very social, best buds with Baylee (VA2342), and completely devoted to me. Thank you, Siamese Rescue, for allowing him to be part of my life for so many years. He will be sorely missed.

MILKSHAKE
Active, energetic, and all boy! I love to rock and roll and race and chase and rough and tumble. I will need an energetic family to keep up with my antics, and right now I am so bossy I'm not even playing nicely with the other cats! Check out my videos - first you'll see I look angelic, then you'll see I look ..... Anyone got a 500 pound small pony I could play with? Woops, I have to stay inside the house - okay, how about an Irish Wolfhound?

Notes from Home
2 Year Anniversary: Milkshake continues to thrive. He is Pearl's pesky little brother who playfully smacks her rump when she's taking too long at the food dish, and she makes it clear that he is not to get on "her" bed if he knows what's good for him. He loves to play Ping-Pong with the family and REALLY loves his kitty treats. Two years has passed quickly and we look forward to another fun year with him.

Notes from Home
Quent is doing wonderfully in his new home. He was finally released from isolation yesterday while we are home and monitoring and he spends much of his time following, chasing, and harassing the other animals. They are being patient and sweet with him so I think everyone will have a lot of fun together! Quent is constantly moving and playing with anything that moves and he has found a little voice. Quent has accidentally taken several showers already as it is his goal to walk the entire edge of the bath tub and hasn't quite figured out that he will likely fall in...again!
The vet and everyone at the vet's office had an excellent visit with Quent this week when he received his FVRCP and FeLV vaccines (visit took 10 minutes, playtime an hour).
We will keep you guys updated and plan on posting a few pictures as he grows (hes gained a pound since he came home).

BELLE
Hi, what is most important to you, quality or quantity. With me you can have quality. I love lots of attention, lots of cuddling, lots of everything. I just don't show many signs of wanting to share. I will give you headbuts, purrs, tummy rubs, all the loving things you can ask for. You don't need any other kitties to make you happy and busy. Just ask about me and foster mom will tell you what a beautiful loving girl I am. Thanks, Sarita Well I am showing foster mom that given time to integrate I can get along with other cats and actually enjoy their company. It just needs to be a cat that won't run from me or let me take over. Wouldn't you like to give me my forever home?
