ARMANI NKA FUSHU
Just arrived and I'm terrified of all the new changes. You see I was born outside to a feral mom and never met a human untill a few weeks ago. My brother and I were so scared in that shelter place that he got fresh and scratched someone there and we were quaranteened for 10 days! Left to ourselves except for food and water. Now I'm here in a foster home and meowmy said she's going to help me find my courage. (my poor brother had to be left there because he was still hissing and spitting at everyone)

I'm going to need some time to adjust here, but meowmy said that's ok, cause I have to get all my medical stuff taken care of before I can go to a real forever home.
So for now, I'm just going to chill.

Armani.

Notes from Home
It has been almost four years since Fushu came into our lives. He remains the life of the party. He's the only boy in our house hold, and is definitely spoiled. He keeps us laughing with his countless antics. He loves to have his long fur combined. And he looks forward to getting his back massaged. He has us wrapped around his little paw. He can do no wrong as far as we are concerned. His favorite past time is to jump on the beds just when they are being made. He is in excellent health. We keep up with all of his annual vaccines and doctors visits. We could not have asked for a more purrrfect little boy to add to our family. He loves to have his belly scratched and rubbed. He has a good appetite, and his weight is good and stable. My daughter Ali, who just turned 11, featured him in a video in a science project at school (a few years back). The project was entitled, "Some Feral Cats Can Be Socialized." It was a great learning experience for Ali and any one who visited her exhibit. We love our Fushu! He is our forever family. Love from Jennifer and Ali Griffin

TREASURE
I can't tell meowmy where I came from or what might have happened to
me, but the world is completely overwhelming and I just want it to go away.

Are you ready for a real challenge?
I am going to need a true rescue angel to tell me everything will be ok and show me how wonderful
having a family and living inside can be. Be prepared to keep me in a small space, (possibly for weeks or even months), so you can find me. A friendly, social and playful cat buddy is a MUST as I love other cats. A kitty buddy will show me the ropes and tell me there is nothing to fear. You will need a strong and flexible body so you can fish me out of the places I will be sure to find and hide in. A very busy household definitely won't work for me. Also a very long work day and lots of outside commitments won't suit me at all.

If you meet all my requirements ask about me.

Treasure

Notes from Home
Treasure has definitely become her name. She is a true Treasure. Treasure is a very petite cat who now follows me around the house, greets me at the door when I come home, and longingly watches out the window high up on one of the cat trees when I back out of the carport to go to work. I'm allowed to pick her up and cuddle her for a short period of time. Big improvement as for the first two months, I was not allowed to even touch her, she was so traumatized with humans. She has always seemed comfortable and playful with her fur brothers and sisters. Her fur sister, Mellow is still her best friend although Tucker is a close 2nd. Hours and hours are spent flying around the house in a very friendly game of tag with both. Thank you, everyone who assisted in Treasure's journey home.

MARSHMALLOW FLUFF
Hi, I'm Marshmallow!

If you're looking for a little spitfire of a girl to entertain you or need a friend for another kitten or cat, look no further! You found me!!!

I'm busy, busy, busy, playing and running, but when I finally tire myself out I love to snuggle and purr.

I'll be ready to go home in 3 - 4 weeks.

Notes from Home
Mellow is a very happy and confident kitty. She made herself at home as soon as she arrived. She mimics my large Flame, Tucker in just about every move. Tucker is large as he has had Addisions disease and has survived in good health for 7 years now except for the weight due to his medications. For Mellow it was love at first sight. She has always made sure her sister in adoption, Treasure is okay and happy. But Tucker is her absolute best friend. I have uploaded several photos that tell it all much better than any words I can say.

I also wish to thank all of the people who rescued Mellow and helped get Mellow to Nancy's house to be a companion to Treasure. I fell in love with Mellow when I first laid eyes on her video. She had done most of the work that has gotten Treasure to where she is. She is so gentle, but also very active, both of which really helped Treasure. She is also is very loving to me. BUT, I thinks she loves Tucker more.

ZOEY
Don't be deceived by this sweet face, I am a little pistol! So far cuddling is not on my agenda...I'm too busy playing in the trash, chasing toys, climbing drapes and attacking foster mom's ankles. She said something about me being a Seal point diva in training. I'm not sure what that means, but if it means I want everything my way, she's absolutely right. I must have a feline playmate in my new home to help me burn off some of this energy.

Zoey is still a very beautiful and very mischievous cat! She has an orange tabby brother that is her age. She also has 4 mini dachshunds!! She loves to be the center of attention and is always in the middle of the dogs. She also likes to groom them... as well as her humans... especially daddy's facial hair. She loves to give kisses and she rubs her head all over us so that everyone knows we belong to her.

Notes from Home
Phoebe(Almond) is just an adorable and really really sweet cat. She likes to follow me around the house, waits for me at the door to come back and greets me with lots of meows and loud purrs.
She is very clever and I've been able to train her to do respond to me calling her name, 'sit' command which she listens and executes immediately and to come to me when I call her name or say 'come here'.

She's a curious cat and likes to explore the backyard. I don't have to worry about her running away or going too far as she follows me even when we are exploring the outside environment. I bought a leash to train her but that wasn't really needed. I've stopped using it now since I know that she's not planning to 'go exploring' to far away ( I had her sit at a spot in backyard, waiting for me the other day while I was fixing the lawn mower. She was very calm and ran directly to the door the moment I was done, so that we could get back in in the house).

Another thing- I was told that she doesn't get along with other cats. That's true, but not really. When my roommate brought her cat to our house, Phoebe was meowing/yowling/hissing at her, but in 2 days she warmed up to her. She actually goes to meet her every now and then. They both sit quietly and be cats. I's actually pretty adorable to watch.

Anyways, I'd highly recommend getting a meezer, if you are planning to get a cat. They are absolutely adorable and wonderful companions.

Thanks Sheri for helping me out during the whole process, and Nancy for taking such good care of Phoebe for me.

SASSY
I came to the shelter with the name Sassy. I am a beautiful little seal point girl with big stunningly blue eyes. I LOVE laps, chests, shoulders and any part of your body to snuggle and cuddle on. I purr and purr and purr.

If you need to add a little "sassy" to your life, be sure to ask about me. I'll tell you my story.

Purrs and more purrs, Sassy

Notes from Home
Sassy has been a great cat. She is much more friendly than she was a year ago. She has been greeting me when I get home from work every day. She also is wanting to play with my shoe strings, she loves to watch me tie them every time I go to put on shoes :) She is always wanting to sit with me at the computer but leaves when I get my guitar out. Sometimes she likes to stick around and listen. She had her yearly check-up last week and the doctor gave her some ear drops to help with the ear wax build-up She had been scratching her left ear a little too often. In a couple weeks she is going back in to get her teeth cleaned.

Notes from Home
A very late update, but there were some problems for the first month after Jinxy came home, as my already established Seal Point girl became very depressed and ill when she realized that Jinxy was sticking around. Jinxy and Minnie are slowly getting to know each other. Jinxy still has some trust issues with me, but he's becoming more comfortable each day! He gained some weight and the hair on his muzzle is starting to darken again. He's a beautiful and sweet boy!

SWEET PEA
Ideally the only cat, but a laid back male my age or older would work. I like to be near you, sometimes on you, I'm very good in my habits and I will bring my no grain delicious food with me! I was here many moons ago and then my owner got ill and could no longer keep me, so it's been a sad ending to 2014 - here's hoping the New Years will be lucky for me!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Sweet Pea is doing very well. This first month has been a time of continuing progress in her trust level and interaction. From spending most of her time under the bed, she now has made this her home. And from shying away when I would try to pet her, she now spends hours on my lap. She loves sitting in front of the patio door watching the birds and squirrels that come right up to the door. Her fur is growing out and she looks more beautiful all the time. We had our first visit to the vet last Friday and the doctor said she's in good shape and doesn't need to come back until next November for her rabies update.

7-20-15

Sweet Pea has gradually settled in over these first 6 months. She is much less crabby now and her trust level continues to grow. She's a bit of a diva and definitely has her boundaries, but is more approachable now than when she first came. She's not a lap cat, which is a little disappointing, but perhaps that will come in time. Her favorite amusement is still watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels, and sleeping in the sunny patches that move around the room. She does let me groom her now in very short sessions (and only if I hold her by the scruff of her neck), but still won't let me touch her stomach, although there have been a couple of times when I've gone over to pet her and she'll roll over and expose her stomach. She comes up on the bed occasionally and sleeps with me, though not touching me, especially when it thunders (she doesn't like thunderstorms). She's eating well and her litterbox habits are perfect. Her fur is fully grown out now and she's gorgeous!

SWEENEY
Easygoing, affectionate lover who can fit in just about anywhere! I've lived with 6 cats and a dog before, and my gentle nature would make me a good fit with kids too. I was a stray, but you'd never know it because I'm a handsome, loving, wonderful guy! Why don't you ask about me today?
Purrs,

Notes from Home
Hi,
During the introduction process (after about 2 1/2 weeks of ISO) there was a good bit of hissing on Sweeney's . I would put Sweeney back in his "room" when I went to work--he was out and about all other times. He hissed at Fergus (they even had several tusssles) and he hissed at Fiona when she walked by and would act like he was going to cuff her.
Finally this past week it is coming together; they chased each other and actully have started playing. Sweeney is always checking on my whereabouts--especially if I am too slow, as far as he is concerned, in getting meals ready.
After two strokes about three Months apart, I had to have McGinty put to sleep on March 27, 2015.
He is now free and only goes into his room if he wants to or if I am on the computer. He's is napping right now on the new cat tree.
He comes and sits in my lap often but doesn't stay unless he falls asleep--there is too much to do and see.

LAKME
I am settling in after coming back to Siamese Rescue. I am a sensitive girl and need someone who will give me their undivided attention. Don't think I am willing to share my owner with another kitty and need someone who is at home a lot. That is the life of a diva girl - I want my people all to myself.
Purrs, Aiko

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
I think Lakmé is very happy to be an only cat. She loves to play and demands a session with her "cat catcher" every morning, and brings balls for me to throw so she can chase them. She's much more of a companion than I expected from her description, and prefers to be in the same room with me, next to me on the sofa during the day and on the foot of the bed at night.

7/16/15 Lakme is a fully adjusted, happy cat. She is no longer the “fraidy cat” who would hide under my bed when anyone came in – now she greets people and seems to regard everyone who comes in as a potential playmate. She wasn’t even particularly upset by a two-day “vacation” when I had to board her at the vet’s during the smelly phase of having my hardwood floors refinished. Actually, she endured the rest of the process better than I did; she didn’t mind being confined to my bedroom, probably because I was stuck there, too.

She still loves to retrieve, and the “cat catcher” toy is still her number one favorite (she’s on her second – the first broke but I had a replacement on standby). She does play with other toys; it’s fun to watch her look over her toy box and pick out one for her attention. Like any kid, she never puts anything away, just gets out something else when she gets bored!

She's up to date with her vet visits, shots, etc. and is in excellent health.
