This is just sooooo unfair !!!

How come a decrepit old geezer can find his furever home and I'm still here waiting for mine ? Isn't there anyone out there who wants a super fun-loving, interactive and affectionate gal to be their very bestest friend ?

Notes from Home
5/29/13-Pawlly continues to be a treat. She did quite well with me going to work yesterday and when I got home she was raring to go. After a brief cuddle it was play time and she wore Mom out. I ended up giving her her catnip candy cane and a furry mouse and she amused herself while I watched. She's certainly not shy about eating and drinking my stuff. I was eating a cookie and she decided she had to nibble a piece off. She also enjoys drinking my water but she insists on using a paw. If I catch her too late she'll just dangle the paw in the water while lapping with her tongue. I love her cute little antics. There's never a dull moment with her.

5/30/13-Pawlly did her first no-no today. I was holding her in the kitchen when one of the other tenants walked by the closed front door in the hall. Pawlly actually looked at the door and growled. It appears that she doesn't want to share her Meowmy with anyone. We're going to see what triggers the growls and work on breaking that habit. She's friendly to people in the apartment and loves it when they scratch her ears and pet her. It wasn't a big no-no but we can't be growling at people. Heaven help anyone that breaks in, the watch cat will get them, lol.

Pawlly has allowed me to capture her life story.

Pawllyanna Finds A Place
There once was a kitty named Cotton
Who thought that her life was rotten.
She just wanted scritchin'
But her people wanted kittens
So she didn't know exactly what to do.

The kittens got all the petting
Which made Cotton begin fretting.
Her people had a fit
and declared, "This is it!"
Then cornered Cotton with some netting.

Cotton ended up in a shelter
Where the conditions made her swelter.
An angel soon found her
And put her loving arms aound her
Then promised her life would soon get better.

She was taken to a foster
And chipped in case they lost her.
Then they had her fixed.
Her baby-makin' days were nixed.
But all of this baggage would cost her.

They put her picture online.
A furever home they wanted to find.
"Must be only cat."
(Gee, she must be a brat.)
And so everyone looking politely declined.

Till one day one lady did see her
And loved all that soft tortie fur.
Please don't think I'm rude,
I don't care about the 'tude.
She'll have a new name to greet her.

Now Pawlly won't leave my side.
Her world and mine did collide.
She'll always be my baby.
No if, and, or maybe.
Together all our time will we bide.

6/4/13-Pawllyanna had her vet visit today. She came through very well. She had dirty ears and came home with ear drops. She also has gingivitis and may need lysine as maintenance for her gum health. She absolutely hates to be restrained and gets a serious case of the wiggles when she is has to be restrained. She took the holding and ear drops like a trooper, though. She strutted around the house when we came home too. She thought she was hot stuff and she was so cute.

Pawlly is a very well-behaved girl, but she has taken to scratching on the couch when she wants attention. She stops when you touch her paw and tell her no which is good. The more we play, the less she does it. I really wish she'd just use her scratchers but at least she listens. I'm guessing that she'll stop when I finally give her all the attention that she deserves.

I certainly love my chunky monkey and wouldn't trade her for the world.

6/12/13-Pawlly and I are both in heaven. She continues to delight me and I her. She is a playing machine and there is nothing funnier that watching her roll around with her toys and roll off the couch. She also does flips and somersaults on a regular basis. She is also smart enough to know how wand toys work and she'll play with me for a while before she pulls the wand from my hand. What a character!

She loves to pop into bed on occasion and get some loving too. She's not shy about walking across the pillow to peek into your face if you're facing away from her either. I'm not sure I like her sitting on my pillow but she sure is cute.

We're managing to overcome our scratching issues too. I haven't totally broken her of the habit but we're getting there. As she gets more and more relaxed around here, her true self is coming out. I am totally in love with who she's becoming and she truly is my soulmate. I sure picked a winner. Kudos to Joyce for making sure that she was realistically summed up for her bio.

6/22/13- Pawlly continues to blossom. She's such a loving, caring soul. She is also one of the most intelligent Siamese that I've ever known. She has my routine down already and anticipates what is going to happen at certain times. One of her major weaknesses now is the laser toy. She will chase that thing down like the kitten she is. She has become quite frisky in the month that she's been here. I can't believe that she spent so long in foster. She is quite the little charmer and even has the landord in her group of admirers. She is such a good girl that she doesn't even need to be contained when he comes over to fix things for us.

She's got wonderful manners and quite a sweet tooth. It would seem that she LOVES ice cream. She only gets a few licks when I have some, but she will st patiently by and wait for her share. She also is quite fond of her Greenies. She's got some comfy new blankets and lots of new toys as well. At times, she comes out and just sits looking at her things. I'd like to think that she's remarking about how she's got a home of her own and some stuff to call her own. She still looks at me with adoration in her eyes as well. Of course, I look at her that way too.

I've been mentioning to my friends that since no one knows when her actual birthday is that we're going to celebrate it on her adoption date. It seems that everyone likes that idea and Pawlly already has a list of about 10 people that have made plans to join us on that date next spring to celebrate her day with her. She is so blessed. She truly is my purrfect little angel.

7/6/13-It's been about 6 weeks now and all is going well. Pawlly is scratching her kitty condo on a regular basis and that makes her Meowmy very happy. She is still her happy little self and she continues to fill my heart with joy. She has 2 speeds...hyper or sleep, lol. She's 2 1/2 but certainly acts like she's 2 months. She is so happy to have the run of things here that she regularly does laps and then just flops down next to me for some loving.

A couple of times I've woken up to find her pressed up against me in bed. She waits until I'm asleep before curling up close but she's feeling comfortable enough to actually do it now. She does hop into bed every day, though, for loving before sleep and first thing in the morning. I'm so proud of her.

She's also managed to fight the wiggles while being restrained. We've managed to get to the point where I can hold her tight and unsheath the claws on her front feet all by myself. I've been trying to acclimate her to that so that I can keep her front claws clipped without having to drag her to the vet all the time. We're getting there. She does her Meowmy proud. It's hard to believe that she's only been here for about a month. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the universe.

7/20/13- Pawlly and I just wanted to share some milestones. We've recently entered the phase where Pawlly will meow her requests without feeling like she's being bad. She's becoming very chatty and her Meowm is very proud of her. She is also showing much more affection. She will touch me when lying on the bed and park herself on my foot if I am up doing something. She's also willing to be right next to me and touching me much more often than she was. She still is reluctant to do much jumping but she's getting there. One of our newest changes was to put her "cat house" in front of the window. She is much more willing to scratch on it now. It also makes it nicer for her people, bird and squirrel watching. She's so cute because she will jump in through one of the windows and exit by walking down the steps. It's adorable to watch. She sleeps in it for hours. We've added a few new pictures too. I'm absolutely head over heels for my baby girl. She's the love of my life and by the adoring looks she gives me, I can see that I'm hers.

8/18/13-Pawlly and I are still doing great. She is just the sweetest thing on 4 legs. We are sleeping together every night and cuddling during the days. She's getting more comfortable and has started to actually sleep on me or at least with her butt on me. We're getting there. We are so bonded now that she has actually allowed me to clip her front claws. We aren't up to the back feet yet but this is a true milestone. She has been able to curb her wiggles and while she's not nuts about me doing it she only growled at the very end. At no point was she wanting to bite but she wanted to make sure that I knew she wasn't enjoying it, lol. She sure earned her Greenies for that one. I see her being a lap cat by the end of the year...at least for her Meowmy. I would not give her up for anything now and I believe that she feels the same way.

2/7/14-Pawlly has been such a delight. It's been a while since I've updated, but much has happened. Pawlly is my shadow and follows me around like a puppy. She's fine doing her own thing as well, but happiest by my side. She is comfortable in every nook and cranny in our home and finally claims the entire place as her own. She has even discovered the joys of sleepingn on my lap. She was tentative at first but quickly warmed up to the idea. She's still a bit leary of strangers but she has no issues with her Meowmy at all. She's even been able to control her impulses when she gets overstimulated. She will only mouth things like fingers and has mastered the art of "Soft Paws". She's super intelligent and quite the talker now as well. We've even managed to pick up a boyfriend. They haven't met yet, but Pawlly is here to stay no matter what. I've mentioned that fact to the boyfriend and he agrees that even if they don't get along that Pawlly is not going anywhere. Our lives are pretty complete and I continue to delight in her every day. She's my purrfect little princess and she's definitely here to stay. I wouldn't give her up for anything.

So you've been pondering the current state of things? Me too! I was just laying here thinking of how I need a home---a home that can handle the interworkings of a fabulous flame boy------nothing NOT to love--my assets are too numerous to list at the moment....but ask about me and I can attempt to fill you in :)

Notes from Home
February 7, 2014: Five years today! I have moved a few times with my momma and cat buddies. I have become a real momma's boy, but don't tell anyone. I follow her everywhere and I cuddle on her chest at night. I gently lick her face sometimes just because I love her. I gently tap her face with my paw in the morning to wake her up so she'll feed me. My favourite game is "hand moving under the sheets". I also like a good game of tag with my cat buddies. My favourite food is just about anything my Momma eats, but I don't get much of that.

We recently moved to Canada! Wow, that was a long drive, but we stayed at pet friendly hotels on the way and Momma brought everything we needed. I LOVE my new home! There are big windows to look out of with squirrels and birds and dogs and people and lots of trees to look at. It's a bit cold here, but I just get under the covers on Momma's bed to get warm when I need to.

Best wishes to all from Dizzy (handsomest and nicest cat ever)

Super cool cat!! He's not a snuggler, but Theresa told me that. Now that I have figured him out I know how to give him affection without provoking him to nip me. He's just so beautiful and cute I want to kiss him all over. As long as he has his feet on a solid surface, I can scritch his head and kiss him while he purrs. He hasn't nipped in a long time since I figured that out. He lets me know when he's had enough. He kind of jerks his head to the side or just walks away. I love him so much. He does something to make me laugh and feel happy every day.

Well, today is Dizzy's1 year anniversary in his forever home. He is thriving. He has stopped nipping completely and he is relaxed and full of life. He has bonded with Zettie. They play and run all over the house together. What friendly, wonderful cat he is. He is friendly with everyone. He makes biscuits on his kitty beds, eats well, uses the litterbox. He is also a very smart cat! He learned how to beg for his treats on the first try, he figured out the treat ball in about 2 seconds, and he learned by watching my Maine Coon, how to drink from the faucet. He's a real treasure!

I can't believe I've had my dear Dizzy boy for 2 years now! He continues to be the sweetest cat I've ever had. He loves all cats and his Momma :) and he has become Benzie's (the new kid) daddy...he grooms him and cuddles with him. He likes other people too once he gets to know them and especially if they give him little treats when he sits at his place at the table. He sits politely on his chair at the dinning room table and waits for little bits of chicken or whatever. It's very cute! he can turn any "I'm not a cat person" kind of person around quickly.

Wow! Four years! All I can say is Dizzy is the best. cat. ever. We have really figured each other out over the years and have a deep connection. He purrs a lot, loves to play (when the other cats don't take over), and loves to cuddle (when it's his idea). He is terrified of thunder. He crawls under the covers on "our" bed (it belongs to me and the 4 cats) before I can hear the thunder, but sure enough I can hear it a little while later.

Dizzy is extremely sensitive to my moods. For example, one night I was crying in bed and he came over and put his paw on my shoulder and licked my tears. Oh my. Then I was crying with heartfelt joy. He cuddled on my shoulder the rest of the night. He had never done that before and has not since. I guess we'll see what happens next time I cry in bed =^--^= He also does his distressed meow if I'm feeling particularly tense. I call him and he comes to me and I soothe him; but we all know he's actually soothing me! What a cat. He's amazing.

He's still very food motivated so I have to make sure all food is put away. Maybe this is Dizzy's way of making sure I clean up after myself =^--^= He is easy to train because of his motivation for food and also because he's super smart (smartest cat I've ever had). I taught him to beg for his treats. And he's so laid back he doesn't mind wearing a circus collar once in a while so I can get a nice picture.

Hi there, I'm Nigel! Thanks to a super nice family in my neighborhood I've gone from a skinny, starving, lonely boy to the plush, good lookin' guy that I am today. I'm so glad to be inside because it was starting to get cold at night! I'm a little shy until you get to know me, but within a few minutes I'll be parked right beside you, and purring up a storm! Just don't leave my side or I might have to reach out my big paw and pull you back.
Notes from Home
Hi everyone,

Traveller a.k.a Nigel is taking his time but definitely settling into his new Vermont home. I had been cautioned that he might regress and take to some old fearful behaviors of scratching, so I was prepared with oven mitten and bandaids. Glad to report haven't needed to use either.

The 1st night he spent most of the night under the bed but would come out and have his head scratched and purr. 2nd night spent most of the night on the bed but well out of reach. Third night he slept and arms length away… and coming closer ever since.

Now he's starting to explore the rest of the house when the two dogs go outside. And tonight he meowed for the first time since he arrived, last Saturday.
Thank you everyone so much for helping Traveler find his way to his new home!!

Wow, it's been a month already. Traveler's seems very content. When I'm home alone he's never out of sight. Still shy around guests but quite relaxed when it just me and the dogs. (I'll post more pictures this weekend.)

Well Muffin is doing wonderfully. She loves her wet food and gets 3 ounces a day plus dry food.
She has no issues with the litter box. All my kitties eat together. They all get along very well. She's
so cute and we all love her.
Our 1 1/2 year old male cat Tigger loves to play with her. The funny thing is if he gets a little
too rough with her she puts him in his place. But they're still both fond of each other.
I'll send some photos of her soon.

Wow! I'm a number one!!!!!!!

Oops, foster mom says that's not necessarily a good thing. But maybe someone will see me and think, "I could love an older kitty."

Alysa is a quiet kitty who loves your time, an occasional lap, and a soft bed to share with you. She won't be in your face unless you neglected to give her some goodnight pets before shutting your eyes. She hisses once in a while, but it's all hot air. Nothing here that is aggressive, just a once-abandoned old girl who is looking for a peaceful, loving home for the rest of her days.

Perfect bloodwork, nothing unhealthy here.
Notes from Home
2/14/13 Couldn't be happier with Alysa. It's been less than 2 weeks since her arrival and she's settling in nicely. Great in fact. I think the turning point came when she realized I also have a kitchen she can beg in. There was no turning back after that. She loves attention, snuggling and talking now. The hissing, growling and grumbling are pretty much gone. She's using her voice to make happier, funnier noises these days. Doesn't mind her new brother (Dexter) at all. Well, after all he does allow her to remain queen of the castle. I expect nothing but continued progress and a big thank you goes out to every single person who made this possible.
3/2/13 Hard to believe its already been a month. Alysa has made this home so quickly I'm amazed. She greets me at the door every day when I get home from work, sits on my lap or snuggles against me on the couch, she's pretty vocal about letting you know she would like attention (even at 3am), follows me every where and has started sleeping on the bed. She is a very sweet girl. Love her.
02/04/14 Geesh, a whole year has gone by. Ally is doing great. She has had a few health concerns during the past year but with excellent veterinary care, loads of TLC (I do think I've created a monster) and new daily heart medication she's feeling pretty darn good. I have to say, she is a champ taking her medication every day. Gobbles it right up, no fuss, no muss. Easiest kitty ever. Miss Ally craves attention all the time. She's never more than a few inches away. I still find it funny as heck that she likes the fridge so much. The minute I open the door, boom, there she is. Dexter and Ally coexist wonderfully. She rubs up on him and lays next to him like they have been together forever. She's actually at the point now where she doesn't have that "OMG, what are you doing look?" when he starts grooming her. He's a nurturer, he can't help himself.

(NEW VIDEO 1/23/11)

Ready to go home, I'm just getting over a bout with ringworm (that was no fun, talk about long term isolation). I'm a gentle souled cat who would slot in anywhere that wanted an easy going but 'softer' personality. Since I have had ringworm, (although I will culture negative for it before I leave here) I should still go to a home without any immune compromised individuals, hence the only reason I'm marked no kids below. My habits are excellent and my personality stellar - no couch potato here, no mad racer and chaser either, just an overall very pleasant well behaved gal.

Joon is still a bit skittish around loud noise and quick movement, however when she is comfortable she is a doll!!! So loving and gentle. Her purr is infectious. She is great with the other animals in the house and lives to be loved when the kids can catch her. Otherwise it's all on her terms. When she is comfortable and ready to be pet and held she comes to us and snuggles right in.

When I go to pick the girls up from school, Sadie runs to the window and will watch until my return, knowing when the girls get home ,she will greet us at the door and Sasha will say "Sadie I missed you so much" and then Sophia says " Mom can I play with Sadie before I start my homework?"
Jeremy has not missed one day of saying , what a good girl Sadie is..
So with that and so much more bragging to come , We would like to thank all of you at the Siamese Rescue for our Sadie! Thank You again and again!

Wow!!! Has it really been 6 months plus????
We are a happy happy meezer family! Sadie is all that and more... No worries at this house,
still loving all her humans the same, sleeps with Sophia every night, goes with Sasha in the baby stroller like they are really going to pet depot! too funny! never gets old! LOL!
Now for the big news.. Sadie has a new friend that fell into our lap...Sadie is the girl that can take it or leave it,can be a little hissy but really can care less, just stay out of Sophia's bed and don't get in the baby stroller and we will get on just fine.. we are still looking to add another ! Sadie is ok with it, as long as her rules are followed... Best cat ever!!!!!
