Notes from Home
Capri went to vets on Thursday, received meds for sneezing and congestion 2cc for two weeks. Eating well, has uses litter box. She is taking long naps, sleeps with whomever she can snuggle with. Upon wake she plays in her cube, charges out to attack Mugsy, they wrestler and run through the house. Capri has approached Molly, molly takes off and hides. As of today Molly has come out a few times, but still 8n retreat. Everything is quite, no hissing or fighting.
July 16, 2015
Capri still on med. She and Molly bumped noses this morning.
31 July 2015
Capri received her last Booster on 24 July 2015, 2.9 lbs.
A couple of days ago Molly was caught cleaning Capri's ears. Today they played together. When she is with Mugsy he just lays his paw on her and starts licking her. So far so good with the three of them

Notes from Home
Susie is quite the project! She's still getting used to the house, and spends long hours in the kitchen glowering at us. Once she get started with the head scritches, though, she wanders around and purrs loud enough for the whole house. We've just given her the freedom to wander freely about, and she's making good use of every hiding spot she can find!
4/12/2015
It's been just over three months, and Susie has started to venture around the house! She's still freaked out by loud noises (Sammy, who came home the same day with her, sometimes provides those noises), but she comes out on her own to eat and is quite the little love bug early in the morning and late at night. She's started sleeping on the bed with us, and even started using her voice! She's got a cute little squeak that we hear once or twice a day now.
7/28/2015
Six months now, and Susie is getting more and more social. She's still most active in the morning and evening, but she's started wandering about during the day some, even when we're walking around. She's super affectionate in the evening, and spent a good 10 minutes on my lap yesterday! She and Sammy get along well and play at night (sometimes they get a little rough). Susie is definitely jealous of when Sammy is getting attention and will squeeze in between him and whatever hand is petting him, but he doesn't seem to mind, especially if there's another available hand.

SAMMY
Just arrived and scared from all the changes in my life. I'll let you know more as soon as I start to relax.
Update: I've finally decided that this is a good place and I love all the pets and rubbing I'm getting. I met the other kitties, and like them all, even that pesky girl, Sheba. I have excellent litter box habits and like my food now, too.

Notes from Home
Sammy is settling in nicely and has the run of the house! He's friendly and playful, and when he's not cuddling, he's batting a toy (or anything he's made into a toy!) all over the house.
4/12/2015
Sammy has become an integral part of our house over the last three months! He's an inquisitive and talkative boy who greets us whenever we happen to walk by whatever odd stretch of hallway or room he's currently occupying. He and Susie, who came home on the same day, are best friends. When they're both out, they're constantly giving each other head boops or pouncing around playing.
7/28/2015
6 months already! I'd say time flies, but Sammy and Susie seem like they've been here forever now. Sammy is definitely the more talkative of the two, and he has us on a food schedule with no deviation tolerated! He's quite the happy boy, and has recently discovered the joy of boxes. He has claimed an Amazon box as his own, which now serves as nap corner, lookout perch, and jungle gym.

KISMET
It is really hard to get a good picture of me since I match the carpet, but aren't my blue eyes just stunning? I recently was spayed so that I could be ready to go home, but I just haven't found a home yet. I am very content to be with you and I purr non-stop. I like toys, food and use my box everytime. What's not to like here? So get clicking and let's see if I look prettier on your carpet.
Love & Purrs,
Kismet

Notes from Home
Yes, they (Kismet and Pandora) have met. Despite switching their beds and rooms for a couple of days, it was a hair raising experience to say the least and the running around, growling and hissing went on all weekend. However, as of last evening, they seemed to have come to some kind of truce and I am sure as time goes on, it will only get better. I had never seen Pandora get excited about anything at all before, but she sure didn't like having Kismet in her space. Kismet took it all in stride however and was able to hold her own. She is now freely going around the house while Pandora just sits and watches her.
Kismet has become very attached to me, following me around, wondering what is next on the agenda, and always comes to the door when I arrive home and comes gives me a kiss when I wake up --just like Jasmine used to do. She is such a joy!
July 18, 2011
Kismet had her first vet checkup on Saturday. Not only is she healthy, but she has gained weight and is 9.1 lbs! She has a little conjunctivitis in one eye so I am putting medicine in her eye several times a day (with difficulty!). Pandora, my Burmese, is now on Prozac to help her deal with the new situation and things seem to be calming down. This morning for the first time, Kismet and Pandora ate breakfast together only 3 feet away on separate plates. Kismet is a real cutie and knows the routine already.
July 28, 2015
I'm a very grown up cat now and have mellowed so much that I don't even bite or claw the vet! Mom takes me in my carrier to Chicago with her sometimes to spend a few days and I enjoy sitting on the train watching all the people walk by and I never even cry! My fur is very luxurious but much darker than when I was a kitten but it still has that wonderful lilac tint in daylight. Enjoy my new photo!

ROMEO
Looking for love in all the wrong places - decided you don't meet the best candidates in feral colonies. Finally decided on this Siamese Rescue matchmaking gig.
I'm one good looking little guy (under 10 pounds). A chocolate treat that won't pack on the pounds, that's me!
While waiting for my foster space I had a girlfriend at the evaluator's house. So I'm into the girls if you know what I mean. I might even need a cat or dog buddy so as to not wear out the human staff.
If you're into petting and play, why don't you click on that little button and Foster Mom will tell you what she knows about me so far.
Love and kisses - smooch, smooch!
Ray

Notes from Home
7/25/2015: Romeo is such a delight. He's buddies with everyone else in the house, and follows me faithfully from room to room. He's started letting friends pet him, so those nerves are fading.
He recently had a urinary problem (irritation, not sure if bacterial or sterile) that progressed into a full blown blockage in 2 days. He had to spend several days in the hospital and everyone there fell in love with him. It's been about a month now, and the recent culture was clear. I suspect that when we changed their food to a low sodium food (our DSH, Hunter, was recently diagnosed with a heart condition), he wasn't drinking enough so I'm giving him at least one "full sodium" meal a day (wet food, of course). The interesting thing is that his fever coat (which had grown out almost entirely) has come back!
We added some different scratchers, and now he's not scratching the furniture anymore (so I quit using soft paws). He still sometimes scratches the carpet (especially the upright parts of the stairs). We are building a new house (moving in 4-6 months) and it's all hardwood floors, so that won't be a problem there. He still nips occasionally when he gets excited, but it's steadily improving.
10/7/2014: Romeo is very playful and active in the evenings so I have to make sure to wear him out with a wand toy (otherwise he bugs Hunter and Ginger so they start yelling at him to leave them alone - Juliet loves the attention). He LOVES Da Bird wand toy. I've gotten him to jump up about 4 feet in the air chasing it.
He follows me through most of the house, sometimes so close I have to pick him up so I won't kick him. He loves snuggling on the couch or bed for TV time. In the evenings I can call his name and he'll come RACING upstairs to snuggle on the bed with me.
He still has some bad manners; we're using nail caps until we figure out what kind of scratching surface he likes. His biting has decreased, but I'm not ready to introduce him to my sister's kids yet. He was pretty skittish about meeting a friend of mine last week, so if he hides from strangers like Juliet that may not end up being an issue.
9/23/2014: We renamed Ray to Romeo - he is such a love and has been happily bouncing around the living room with Juliet in the evenings (as we hoped he would!). He still tends to find a sleeping place off on his own, and pretty hidden, but I suspect that will change as he becomes more accustomed to the house and everyone.
Ginger is still hissing at him sometimes (othertimes they groom each other, so it's hard to tell why she gets angry sometimes), but he just leaves her alone and they're fine.
Romeo will follow me upstairs when I go to bed in the evenings for some cuddles. A few nights ago he was snuggling with me in bed when Juliet came upstairs and meowed from the hallway, so he dashed off with her. Juliet stole my snuggle cat! They are really becoming buddies.

YANGTZE
Sure glad I have my sister with me cause I am not sure what to make of all this. We screamed at the shelter when they tried to put us in separate cages. So if you are looking for two, we might be your pair. I like to be pet and will roll over for belly rubs. I make biscuits, like to chat. I also like to rest my chin on Kips back. We both love looking out the window.

Yangtze has settled in well, though it did take awhile. He is a love bug and jumps on my bed for cuddles and petting. He has not found me on the couch yet. He is exploring most of the house now, but his favorite place is the chair by my bedroom window. He loves batting his toys down the laminate floors! He still startles when I am moving around, but is getting more comfortable. I have moved the cat food from my bedroom into the kitchen and am gradually moving the litter box from the bedroom to where it normally is. He is a very sweet boy and I love how he chirps and makes questioning meows. He is a bit overweight and I hope the increased activity will help that.

MACY
I'm a nice guy who had a run of bad luck which turned out to be good luck since I am with Siamese Rescue. I was picked up by the side of the road after being hit by a car and am glad that I lived to tell about it. I have recovered and doing well with no problems. I'm a scared guy but sweet and loving if you are willing to take the time to help me learn. I like other kitties and would do great with playful kitty buddy to help give me confidence.

Notes from Home
Hi Kathy,
We are all doing well here. Everyone settled into the new place and found their special spots. Macy although still skittish comes forward more each day. He will come to me when I am still (not often) and expects to get his head scratched. He is very affectionate, loves to have his tummy rubbed, but still will not allow himself to be picked up yet. He has let me put my arm around him. I think it is just a matter of time. He even comes forward when there are guests in the house, waiting to get petted. I'm including several photos though not necessary the best ones.Hopefully you can tell which is who. They love to play Daytona 500 and the house lends itself to that activity, you just don't want to inadvertently get in their way. Kira continues to bite. I haven't broken her of that habit. But I think some of it is affection. She has been named "Houdini" and "devil cat" by my friends but that too is with affection. She continues to escape the house whenever possible. Very fast. She so wants to be outside and I feel like a meanie making her stay in. She is so smart and has figured out how to open the screens on the windows (Now they are nailed shut) and has been able to pull the front door open if it is not latched. She has not given up yet. All in all we are happy here and plan to stay a long time. Micki

GOWAN
First Prize:
hello! I'm a fun loving raring to go gal with lots of energy and love. I climb in laps and on shoulders and when adopters are here, I want them all to myself and don't hesitate to smack other cats that try to elbow in on my attention seeking antics. I'm pretty high energy so need lots of toys and entertainment, I'd do great as the only cat with lots of attention (and toys, did I mention toys?). If there's another cat in the house, it should be a playful fun loving (and cute, please!) gentleman who would like to play with me but absolutely understands that I am the Queen Bee :)

Notes from Home
Hard to believe I've been living with Meowm for 9 years! Although I am easing into life as an "older lady," I've still got lots of spunk, and I've really been showing that spunk off since Meowm decided to bring a p-u-p-p-y home last year. Didn't she realize that I was happy as an only child, and most certainly did NOT want a canine "brother"?!? Although I make sure to frequently remind my "brother" that I am the Queen of the household, I admit that I kind of like having him to boss around, and he's always game for a play session. When I'm not taunting the dog, I'm lounging in one of several favorite spots, either on a sunny window sill or a nice cozy blanket. Life is good.
7/23/15: Wow, TEN years since my adoption! Time sure does fly. I've had a few health issues recently, but it hasn't diminished my spunk and love of sunny spaces. I guess that's just a part of getting older, and I'm managing pretty well so far. I'll even concede that my canine "brother" isn't all that bad, but I make sure to throw an occasional hiss or swat in to remind him who is the boss.
