VINCA
Anyone up for that Meezerly voice and gentle souled interaction? I'm just a nice easy going gal, no attitude here, very friendly. Small gal at just under 7 pounds, I'm neat in all my habits and polite in all my interactions!

Notes from Home
Vinca is doing well. Eating well and talking up a storm! I have found that she loves having her yummy rubbed and she opens and closes her front paws and purrs the whole time. I had to look real close to see if she was declawed because she hasn't shown her nails yet. I'm used to having a cat wrap around my arm with nails extended and biting shortly after I start rubbing. This little girl stretches out full length and enjoys the rub.
She likes to get under the covers at bed time and lay against me so that I can keep petting her.
I wake up in the morning and she is laying on me. Not on my back or belly but on my side. She does like to wake up between 4 and 5 in the morning.
She has been polite to TC and Roxi but doesn't seem to be in a hurry to make a friend yet. I think she likes the one on one she has with me.
She has also found some good hiding places in the house and doesn't give herself away. One of the few times she doesn't talk.
Vinca likes to jump up on the kitchen counters but isn't out there much. I had to clear my dresser off because she likes to walk back and forth on it and knock stuff off so that she has my attention.
She is a sweetheart and has a sweet personality.
January 6, 2015
Vinca is doing very well. Loves to eat the canned food, I have doubled her amount so she no longer pushes others out of their bowls. Likes to sleep in the closet when I am at work. She shares her treats with TC without complaint and now will walk past Roxi without looking at her even when Roxi hisses. I love hearing her come down the hall meowing like she is looking for me. Very playful and athletic! She still sleeps on me on my side at night. She purrs up a storm!
The one thing we haven't cured her of yet is jumping up on the counter and start eating out of the can!
She is a love and seems to be happy here.
October 17, 2015
Vinca no longer jumps up on the counters. She has not been as vocal lately but still the most talkative cat in the house.
She and TC are now sleeping together on chairs! She has also been allowing him to groom her head. She and Roxi are getting along even with Roxi hissing when they cross paths to the litter box.
She spends a lot of time in my lap watching tv in the evening.
She is such a sweet cat!
November 9, 2015
Vinca lost a battle with renal failure. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge Friday, November 6, 2015. The house is so quiet now without her.

MEEKA
I'm the most darling kitten ever! Bright blue eyes and a bit of a smooshed in face. I absolutely love people and do NOT like being by myself. Foster Mom has to carry me around in a soft little carrier or else listen to my baby meows non-stop.
Many thanks to Aunt LaShawn for taking great pictures of me and the You Tube videos.
I can't wait to get out of isolation so I can run around, especially with my fellow foster kitten Bonnie. I won't be ready to go home for a while yet 'cause I'm too small for my surgery.
Since I am so young, it would be great if my forever home was within 200 miles of my Indianapolis, IN foster home.
More updates soon.

Notes from Home
Meeka has adjusted well here. We all love her and she seems to be very happy. She loves her brother and he is so glad to have her to play with too. I was really surprised at how quickly they became reaquanted with eachother. We love her!
March 2012-Meeka has adjusted well to our home. She is a silly little kitten! She loves to cuddle under covers. She has not grown very big and her brother is about twice her size. They get along well, although he is the alpha cat, but she gives him a run for his money once in awhile. Meeka gets along well with all members of our family. We are so happy to have her as part of our family!
October 2014-Meeka has become a great part of the family! We all love her so much. She loves to help "make" the bed. She and her brother like to sit around us but don't often cuddle too much. Meeka is a very loving and sweet cat though. We are all glad she (and her brother) came to live with us!
November 2015-Meeka is a very shy cat. She tends to stay in my room a lot. Since we've added some kittens to the mix this summer, she has been venturing out more into the rest of the house. I am definitely her person. When ever I come home from work she is very happy to see me. She also sees me off to bed every night. She has a sweet personality. We love all our cats!

Notes from Home
Mocha is a silly sweet kitten. She rules the cat world here. She even chases big ole' Majic around. She is still very playful. She adores my youngest daughter and will stop everything to love on her. She thinks that I, however, always wants to play with her and I have the scratches to prove it. She will come to bed at night and claw at the covers to cuddle with me. The other cats are still a little unsure of the giant ball of energy. They are getting more use to her though. Majic will try to groom her, but she attacks him. Our vet thinks she is simply gorgeous! We do love her.
Mocha is a very happy cat. She has a special bond with my youngest daughter who has had some health issues. There was a time when Mocha seemed like something was missing in her life. The older cats would not play with her much. Lucky for her, a stray cat had kittens in our garage this summer. It just so happened that two of those kittens were Siamese. I found homes for the rest, including the momma cat, but we took in the two Siamese kittens. Mocha loves her new playmates! It actually seems that all the cats are happier now with such a big family.

Notes from Home
11/7/15 What an easy transition these boys have made! I'm so very impressed with these guys. Eating and litterboxing with no issues right out of the carriers on day one! Simon hid under the covers for a good while, but Garfunkle stayed with him (on top of the covers) for moral support! By that night they were crawling into laps, snuggling while we slept, and headbutting everyone and everything. Simon plays fetch! Garfunkle much prefers aerial play! Simon is the move vocal of the two, though Garfunkle will join in when it's feeding time. Both are constant purr factories. They love the big windows, their cat tower, and all the attention from me, my partner, and our friends and family. Happy snugglers!!!!

Leia is doing FANTASTIC. She is just the best cat ever. She is everything we had hoped for in a cat and more. She a great smuggler, fantastic with our boys, super playful and has the sweetest personality. She calmed down slot once she turned a year old. She make quite a change in her personality. She has become very calm and not as spunky (kitten spunky :)
She gets along extremely well with our make seal point. They make a great pair. We couldn't be happier to have her in our family.

GIMLI
Hi there, I'm Sushi. I'm a bit under the weather right now, but Meowmy is giving me medicine to make me better. Once I'm feeling better and can mingle with the other kitties here, I'll tell you all about me, but for now meowmy says I have to just chill out and get well.
Update: 3-20-I'm feeling better and just had a photo shoot. Check out my video and photos! I also told Meowmy that I like laps!

Notes from Home
We have had a very eventful 6 months with Gimli (Sushi). He is doing every well fitting in with our family and his sister Leia who we adopted three weeks after Gimli. He's very affectionate and cuddly. He's always in the center of everyone's attention.
We have had some major concerns with him. I've had him to the vet I believe 4 times now trying to figure out why he has miliary dermatitis. He licks his back down the sides of his spine until his skin is raw and then he develops scabs. He's been on two rounds of prednisone (2 differentt times) to clear up the wounds. It didn't help. I've also changed his food to science diet prescription DD food to see if his licking and biting was due to a food allergy. His coat improved a good deal but the licking and grooming didn't stop. the vet also suggested that he be put on a flea treatment, thinking his behavior could be due to a flea allergy. That didn't help either! I now have him on atopic and have had a cone on him for two weeks. His scabs have cleared up due to the fact that the cone was preventing him from licking. I am hoping the attopica has been a big factor in his healing too. I took the cone off this evening to see how he does with it off. I have my fingers crossed that the atopica is the magical cure :). If you have any recommendations for this type of dermatitis I'd love to get some feedback. Sometimes I think be just has an OCD Leo ken with licking.
One other major concern we are having is that he has urinated outside of the box 4 times now. I am not sure what is causing him to do this but I could use some help with this matter. We've been lucky that the times he has done it, it's been on objects that could be washed or we just threw out. We have 3 litter boxes (we have 2 cats) and I empty the boxes daily or sometimes every other day.
We love Gimli SO much but are scared about the urinating outside of the box. Any help would be appreciated with both concerns. Thank you!

Notes from Home
Hello All!
It's been awhile since I have told anyone an update regarding Tina. She is such an amazing member in our household. Needless to say, she was definitely a different cat when we first met her than she is now. When Chris and I first met Tina, she was sitting behind a refrigerator at the rescue center and she was very difficult to get her to come out. She was super scared and seemed very timid. When we brought her home from the rescue center, she cried all the way, unsure of what was happening. Well, we brought her home and introduced her to a small area. She was fine with that and we tried introducing her to the rest of our apartment. She was SO scared to even walk down the hallway and watched our every move with little trust. We made sure to limit visitors until she became comfortable. Tina took quite some time to eat which made Chris and I very worried and she started peeing on our Christmas tree skirt. Both of these were due to high levels of stress and wrong litterbox placement. She also exhibited a (honestly pretty funny looking)unique behavior of wiping her bottom on our carpet. She was taken to the vet and had no worms or anything else the vet could find. We think she just thinks the carpet feels good on her butt. Tina has warmed up so much to me and Chris that she follows us EVERYWHERE. She waits by the door for me to get home from work (it's almost like she knows I'm coming home at a certain time)! Then when I get home, she will meow to be picked up and put her paws on me. She loves to watch me do my hair, makeup, and pretty much anything I do. Chris and I will be getting married in May and we have been working with a lot of fake flowers. She LOVES to watch us put flowers together. Unlike most other cats that would rather play with the flowers, she would rather watch. Chris and I have truly fallen in love with her. Thanks so much for this little one!
11/5/15
Almost two years we've had this beautiful addition to the Miller house :) When we first bought Tina she was at the rescue hiding behind a refrigerator crying and scared. She had no home, no family, and obviously just needed love to bring out her character. Now she is so happy! Every day she runs to the door when we get home and meows to play and rolls over to show us her belly just like a dog would. I never thought I'd get so lucky :-)
