SHILOH
Need a loving, long and tall man for your house? One that likes to sit on laps, give hugs, and even chat with you? How about one that still plays with toys like a kitten? And being handsome sure doesn't hurt either, does it? I am a very affectionate cat, and love to sit on your lap. I talk a lot, so if you need someone to talk to then I might be the one - I will carry on a conversation with you, and if you won't talk to me then I'll talk to my toys.
Foster mom says I'm a gem of a cat and she doesn't understand why I'm not already taken. I eat what you give me, I am neat in the litter box! I've had dental work and bloodwork done, and Im a healthy guy for my age. I'm no kitten but I'm not an old guy either. So click that ask about me button, and we'll see if we're a match.

Notes from Home
While Shiloh was eating and drinking like a champ, and came out to nuzzle me a few hours after a very chatty ride home, he hadn't used his litter-box yet. No oops-es either so we were perplexed. I am pleased to say that shortly after Nancy's follow-up call, he hopped in and did his business! I suppose he was tired of hearing the election night coverage. ;-)
He's taken less than a day to completely warm up to me and is a lovely older gentleman! Aside from being the perfect "Teddy Meezer" at bedtime, he has an added bonus I didn't even expect. With his penchant for kneading, he gives excellent Meez-sages!
Thank you again, to all the volunteers that made it possible for me to bring this older gentleman into my life!!
*******************************************************************************************************************************
Shiloh's become the perfect companion and has taken quite nicely to his new kingdom. The look of amazement when he acclimated enough to get run of the house was so worth it. The drinking fountain, "mouse on a track" and the cat tree made quite an impression on him.
****************************************************************************************************************
I have been remiss on these updates, having instead shared our lives on facebook and sharing the Meezer love with friends and family! He travels with me when I visit my family on Long Island, since my niece and nephew adore him. He's even won over my mom, who is normally NOT a cat person, and is a perfect little gentleman.
We have even converted the households of a few of our friends into Meezer havens, and they have adopted masked temple guardians of their own. I know of at least half a dozen lucky Meezers throughout New York and New England that have found their forever homes after people have met mine.
In the time that I have had Shiloh in my life, I have adopted a little sister, Poppy [VA9779] and she has taken her duties as princess of the realm very seriously. They get along swimmingly and she travels alongside him, allowing my niece and nephew to count up all of her toes again and again. As is typical, it's the little one that is really in charge.
We have relocated as a family to a larger home in the Hudson Valley of New York, where they get full time love from me, as I can do most of my work from my home office. They also get to enjoy watching the birds go about their business and the turning leaves outside the living room window.
Sadly, autumn has come in more than one way for my handsome old man. Just this week, I noticed a bump on his jaw and a bit of blood in his food. Seeing as he has had dental issues in the past, I brought him in for what I expected would be treatment of an abscess and a crummy tooth (since he still as a few teeth left). That is when we got the devastating news: it wasn't a tooth, but rather a tumor. Worse still, because of its location, it is inoperable, and even if they could operate, the vet explained as gently as she could, the prognosis wasn't good at all.
Things were cleaned as best they could be, and the brave little man was given antibiotics and a steroid injection, and we are to follow up in a week to see how things progress and discuss the best options of treatment for his quality of life. This means good-bye is near- nearer than I had expected when I had adopted him, but I couldn't think of these years without my handsome little prince.
I am still in shock, but he's as brave and affectionate as ever. He is eating his mushy food like a champ and is for the most part his usual self, though a bit more low-key and quiet. He's been with me through so much, coming into my life after the loss of a long-term relationship and a cross country relocation. He has been my constant companion through some of the most difficult times of my life, and has seen me through to happiness on the other side. Can I do any less than return the favor in his own time of need?
I wish I could take this from him- I would do so in a heartbeat if it were in my power, but I will have to be content with making the rest of his days as good as they can so he can cross over safe, happy and loved.
*****************************************
01/04/16
This morning, I said good bye to my constant companion for four years. Shiloh was an awesome cat, a real charmer and a ladies man until the end. The past few months have been rough- oral squamous cell carcinoma is a terrible diagnosis, but he was as comfortable and spoiled as he could be for as long as possible, even getting to hold court on Christmas day with his favorite kids.
Rest well, happy, healthy, and whole one more, and may there be no shortage of sun puddles to bask in and arms to love on.

| Super playful, fun and smart! Columbo does have a cloudy right eye that will probably remain that way. We don't know if he was born that way, or if it is the result of a respiratory infection he had before coming into rescue - but that's the way it is. |

COLUMBO
Hi there, I'm Columbo! I'm named for that famous investigator with a bum eye. Well, I've got a bum eye too. You can't tell from this picture, but I've got one bright blue eye and one that's cloudy and not so clear. But don't think that anything escapes my notice - I'm super smart and on the case!

Notes from Home
Meeeooowy Christmas everyone! I just got to experience my first Christmas! Boy, that was a blast! Not that I already didn't have a ton of toys and things to play with and was spoiled to begin with, but wow! This Santa Claws guys is great! He brought me a ton of stuff! And we got a real tree in our living room!! I loved hanging out underneath it! I did't climb it, and left the stuff on it alone for the most part.
I'm a whopping 7 months old now! And I'm a big boy! My daddy says I look like a billy goat because my belly sticks out on the sides. I'm still pretty active, and I love to play with my birdie toys. I love the ones that make noise!! I love to snuggle with my mommy too. I am such a big snuggle bug! I still think I'm tiny, and can easily fit on her chest below her chin, she doesn't think so though... I get along with my older "brother" for the most part. I try to be good and snuggle in for a nap with him, but I can only lay there for a bout two-three minutes before I have to play with him. He just wants to sleep, not me though. He gets mad me and leaves. I try to be good. It never works out so good for me... I got a new kitty city and man, I love that thing!! I claw at the posts, and love to climb and play all over it! We also got a new porcelain water fountain pagoda so we also have fresh filtered water to drink, super yum! I like to wash my paws, then walk around the tile floor, that way my humans can easily find me, because I know they can't see as good as me, so I have to leave them a trail. Speaking of seeing. My eye has never gotten better. The doctors have checked me out, and I even went to an animal eye specialist. They said not much could really be done. but that's ok, I'm indoor only, and my bad eye doesn't hinder me. I'm just the pretty blue eye boy. I feel I got pretty lucky with my family. They shower me tons of love, snuggles, kisses, and ear munchies! Me and daddy like to play chase and "get daddy", where he runs away from me and hides, and I chase him and get his leg! I'm always a good boy, I never claw him though!! So, I am doing really good! I am a really happy little boy, who still loves to play a lot, I like to run around super fast, and growl when I do. I have a great home, a great family, and I am doing great!! I hope you all have a great new year!

TINK
I am just about over my shelter sniffles. I felt pretty bad for awhile but now that I feel better I am showing my sweet side. I have very dark points but I am a young cat. I have light blue eyes and I like to give you sweet looks. Not sure how cuddly I will be but I like lots of pets.
UPDATE:PLEASE READ. Well foster mom has been looking at other cats and has decided I look more Burmese. I seem to also have a lot of the personality of the Burmese breed.. I am doing very well now, have my appetite, and loving life. I had my vet exam everything looked good. No issues found. Foster mom is about to put up some video of me playing.

Tink is doing fantastic here in Orlando, and we are so glad she's here. She integrated wonderfully, still loves her feather toys, and is still a little puzzling to her big brother Link. But he's glad to have her too. Pictures coming on the next visit!
One year with Tink and she's doing better than ever. We've encountered some significant fastidiousness with the condition of her letterbox, but have adjusted accordingly. I don't think she'll ever be a true lap cat or carry cat, but she's become bonded to mom enough to regularly snuggle on my chest. She is the most fiercely vigilant cat I have ever had with a regular routine of watching for "yard intruders" from every window in the house possible.

JASMINE
Hi, I'm Solo, so named because I was the only Siamese being cared for by my "mom" out of 5 kittens. "Mom" fed me because I was an orphan, and she had plenty of milk after having 3 babies of her own. I was one of two orphans taken in by her. I've been well cared for by "meowmy" since my eyes were barely opened and now I'm officially in the care of Siamese Cat rescue.
I love to play with all my toys, I eat my food, love to be held, and know how to use my litter box like a little lady should. I'll definitely need another kitten or cat to play with when I find my forever home, so please don't ask about me if you only want one kitty.
Purrs,
Solo

Jasmine is doing great in her new forever home. She plays with Alex (Rico) all the time. She has adjusted well to her new surroundings and has a high level of energy. I think she needs a playmate who can keep up with her. Jasmine wears Alex out and he goes to sleep and ignores her.

Notes from Home
Lucy and her brother, Charlie, are adored and adorable.
We can barely imagine life without Lucy and Charlie. He's a typically comfortable snowshoe male who believes he's dominant, she turned out to be a Ragdoll--sweet, friendly, beautiful. Charlie is still afraid of new people at first and doesn't warm up to anyone easily. With us, on the other hand, he's goofy and snuggly, and squishy (he eats everyone else's food no matter what we do).
Lucy is gregarious and lively. She can leap like no cat I've ever seen. She is pretty clearly a Ragdoll, a breed I've always wanted, and like the personality of the breed, loves everyone and bridges the gaps among the species in the house. She's a diplomat and a goof.
We love them so much. Please check out the pictures. I've got tons more if you want them :-)

Do you see how handsome I am?? I like to talk to you especially when you aren't paying me enough attention. I love people and I am good with other kitties. Dogs are OK too if you have one of those as well. I love to roll over and even let you rub my tummy. I love to curl up in your lap too.

Notes from Home
January 2, 2016. Finally, some new pictures. Jorge was camera shy, but I added two new ones. Happy New Year to all!
Forgot to add that Jorge had his one year checkup right before Christmas. He is a very happy, healthy kitty and the ladies at Dog and Cat Hospital love to see him. He has made quite the impression. We love him and talk to everyone about the Siamese Rescue Center.
DECEMBER 28, 2015 Happy 1 year Anniversary to Jorge and us, his forever home. It has been a great year getting to k1now each others individual personalities and introducing him to our family. We found out children are his friends when introduced with toys. LOL!
He is ( in his siamese cat mind) the ruler of all. But, he loves both Thomas and I equally and his little girl cat friend is his best buddy.
How did this household ever survive with out our Master Commander Jorge! He has madeus want to try the adoption process again, maybe for an older cat. We are looking forward to making the decision soon.
Thank you again Siamese Rescue Center for coming to our rescue!
Happy 1 Month Anniversary to our newest addition- PBJ (Pretty Boy Jorge)! A happy healthy Snowshoe with a love for his new BFF Kit Kat. He has totally accepted his BFF and Thomas and me. A video is going to follow later today as soon as he wants his picture taken (what a ham he is).
1/30/2015
Pretty Boy Jorge had another asthma attack.. They are fitting an inhaler mask for him to breathe better when the attacks hit. He is fine, just hanging out on my lap right now.
3/27/2015
It has been awhile but just wanted you to know. Jorge is doing exceptionally well in his forever home. Although he has had a couple more asthma attacks, we now have a routine. I run to him or he comes walking up to me. We take him to the vet for a checkup and possible medication. The rest of the day he stay on my lap or in a baby sling while I am working around the house. He loves to be close and I can keep an eye on him. He has gotten stronger, more muscular. He is quite the handsome young kitty. I love this Snowshoe and so does everyone else in the house.
It has been 6 months with Jorge and he is such a beautiful addition to our household. He hasnt had an asthma attack since March! Jorge and his new friend Kit Kat are inseparable. He shows his beautiful Siamese personality with his yowls and his standoffish attitude when he diagrees. Then he loves on us like he has never had any. He has a rather quirky thing he does when he looks up. On his hind feet, he rotates his head like an owl. Now we both know that's not possible; but if you watch carefully you can see him do a rotation one way then the other way. I swear he is part owl! I would not trade my boy for the world. I am so happy that I adopted through Virginia Siamese rescue! Check out his new picture.

LUCA
Ling Ling and I are at Casa Kuck As you can see we are a bonded pair. We watch over each other and I cannot imagine being separated from her. We had a nice home once until our human lost her job and had to move. Foster Pops tells us that he will keep us here with him until he finds the perfect home for the both of us.

Luca was very skittish at first and would hide repeatedly in my presence. He has since become insistent when he wants attention and loves to be brushed. He is the more curious of the two and can be persistent when he wants something! In the last week he has readily come when encouraged to snuggle on the couch and get petted. Loves chasing ping pong balls ! A really sweet cat !

Sasha has been renamed Sophie. She is a delightful affectionate cat who is very curious about her new surroundings. She was the first of the set to trust me and loves to be brushed and snuggle in my lap. Very bonded with her partner Luca ! She eats well and uses the litter box faithfully ! Enjoys watching the movement outside from windowsills.

Notes from Home
Spike has settled in wonderfully. In fact, he did so within hours: He is now very much part of my life, and I, his. He has good manners and has reluctantly agreed not to jump up on the kitchen counters. Well, he does forget from time to time but always gets right back down when reminded. From his lick on my face first thing in the morning--an effective substitute for an alarm clock if ever there was one--to our brushing followed by treats at the end of the afternoon, we have established a daily routine and rhythm we follow without fail.
As for renaming, I struggle with that. Spike's seven predecessors had Swedish or Danish names, and I am tempted to continue that tradition. I've consulted with Spike on this and he lets me know that he doesn't care what I call him as long as I call him at mealtime. I'll keep you posted.
In summary, Spike has made himself very much at home, and I couldn't be more delighted.
January 1, 2016
A few words about my boy. He and I agreed upon a new name several months ago: Björn. The name is in keeping with our household tradition of christening our kitties with Scandinavian, mostly Swedish, names. While he agreed to my referring to him as something other than Spike,he made clear that he would respond to a new name only if and when he felt like it. He has kept his word.
He continues to be a joy, providing the companionship I had been missing for too long. Not a day goes by that he doesn't give me reason to smile, sometimes laugh, and there's not been a night when he's not shared my covers. He has gotten high marks from his new vet, and he has let the practice technicians know that he is not to be trifled with. Dr. Steve has him on a bit of a diet, and Björn has dropped the little extra weight he was carrying.
I would fault him for his musical taste: he actually seems to enjoy my piano playing. Perhaps he's just being polite when he snoozes by the piano when it's just me, him, and Beethoven. Earlier this week he came by for a two-hour concert by a professional jazz pianist and has since questioned my abilities.
He has greeted and introduced himself to the few visitors I've had, and they have all marveled at his good looks and welcoming personality.
Call him Spike. Call him Björn. Whatever. I'm just fortunate to call him mine. (Well, we know that I am actually his!)
