GUINEVERE
UPDATE: - Hey folks - I'm looking at YOU. Will YOU be the one for me??? I'm really ready for my forever home. Where are YOU???? Please ask about me!! Purrs and kitty chats, Gwen.

GOOD GRIEF, Charley Brown, I'm starting ALL over!

How in the world did a wonderful girl like me wind up on page one? If you love snowshoes and the snowshoe personality, you are really missing out on a happy, people loving, sweet, uniquely marked girl. I love people, I love to talk, I love to play with toys, I love to snuggle next to you, I'll even let you hold me for a while and kiss you. So what's not to like? I just need to be an only girl. Foster mama will explain why, but I'm a GREAT cat who really deserves to be going HOME. Purrs and headbutts, Gwen

Notes from Home
Gweny is wonderful. She still is afraid of Snap. He begs to get closer but he must stay a foot away or he gets slapped, he boxes back sometimes. She bonded with me instantly. I love her very much and I think eventually she will accept Snap and his advances.
All my pictures are on my cell phone and I have no idea how to get them on my computer.

I have one small problem with Gwenny, I cannot trim her nails, it's a two man job, I have only one man. Snap is worthless for aid. She tends to scratch carpet and sometimes other things. All I have to say is Gwenny NO, but she is so timid, I hate to even raise my voice to her. She pulls her claws in so tight I just can't clip them and hold her too. She is so afraid at the vet office. but I guess they are my only option for a pedicure. Other than this issue she plays and keeps Snap in his place. We are a very happy family. I am so grateful to have her and Snap.

Another year older and so content, my Mommy loves me dearly and I love her too. Snap will always harass me I think, I just ignore him especially if I am on Mommy's lap. I had a really bad kidney infection this spring. I had to go to the vet 3 times in 6 weeks for antibiotic shots to clear it up. The last visit an infected canine tooth popped out and everything cleared up instantly. I have had my teeth deep cleaned. It seems teeth are a problem for me. I have old folks gum disease and me so young. I am so much more secure here at home I still hide when company comes, but I walk rather than run away. I am wherever my Mommy is like her shadow. I don't get under her feet or become a pest. I just run out in front of her. She is busy and gives Snap and I as much attention as she can. I give her strong head buts and talk her arm off and she loves it when I purr.

I tried to get in her lap at the computer big mistake.....I missed the lap and landed on her keyboard. All these noises happened and scared me to death. I won't make that mistake again.....I will wait until she is in the chair.

All things included, I really love my forever home and can't imagine living anywhere else. I feel so loved and needed. Snap and I are all Mommy has her son died almost 2 years ago. Sometimes she cry's I do my best to comfort her. We are her family now.

July 6, 2014 All is well at my house. Snap needs to go to the vet and have his teeth cleaned before I go. He has terrible breath. I guess that happens when you get older. I still only tolerate him. He backs off and shares his food with me ..that gives him points. I love my mom I sleep on the pillow behind her head especially when it's time to wake her for breakfast. I whisper in her ear....I try to whisper. Snap and I love her very much.. she plays with us and brushes me very often. I would never move again.

SLOAN NKA MR. CREAM
I'm just a tiny fur ball, full of purrs and devoted to my sister, Bailey. Meowmy said we will go together.

Are you ready for two? We are vetted and ready to go, so don't wait too long or we'll be scooped up!

Sloan.
Notes from Home
Hello from Mr Cream! I am loving being a "Nashville Cat" and feel like I belong in Music City, because I have exceptional vocal skills, particularly impressive at 3:30 am when I am ready to be petted :). My forever parents Laura and Dominic spend all day with me. I have unlimited love and affection. They keep telling me that I am a good kitty and such a handsome a boy. I am particularly good at helping my Dad in his office. I've developed my own filing system by pushing all the papers from the desk to the floor. It is wonderful to be here with my little sister Ms Peaches. We have all sorts of room to run and play together in this big house. Thank you to all the people who rescued me; cared for me and brought me safely to my new parents. It is hard to believe I was ever flea and mite infested and suffering in a parking lot. I love you all! Mr Cream

BAILEY NKA PEACHES
I'm just a tiny ball of fluff, full of purrs, and totally dependent on my brother, Sloan, for reassurance. Meowmy said we will go together. Are you ready for two? We are vetted and ready to go, so don't wait too long or we'll be scooped up!

We have good litter box habits and love to snuggle in the Millie bed Meowmy gave us to sleep in. I hope you'll buy us one when we go home.

Purrs,
Bailey

HI from Ms Peaches!! WOW! I hit the jackpot with my new home!! I am here with my brother Mr Cream and we have a lot of room to run and play. I've been here two weeks and I sure do like it. I was a little shy at first and not so sure about the whole petting and purring thing, but within a few days I figured out I really like affection and I have not looked back since. We have so many toys we don't know what to play with first. I've been working on my vocal skills, but so far it all sounds like a squeak, so my nickname is Squeakers. I will continue to post on my exciting adventures. THANKS to my foster Mom Jeanne for taking such good care of me until I found my forever home. Love, Peaches

MYSTIC - TOBY
Hi everyone! I'm Toby. I am a BIG boy looking for a BIG lap! I love people and will reward you with purrs and kisses. I'm just a bit under the weather right now but not sick enough to miss a meal. I eat everything meowmy gives me and am also neat with my litter box. Meowmy says she needs to get better photo's of me as soon as I feel better so you can see my BIG self. I'm not the "typical" meezer in looks, but my eyes are a beautiful blue, I talk like a meezer, and I'm smart and people oriented just like my more delicate cousins. If you're looking for a cat to warm your lap and your heart, then I'm your boy. Just ask Meowmy about me and she'll tell you all about me.
Update: I'm feeling pretty good now and I'm allowed out to play with the other cats. I like them as long as they don't pick on me. Meowmy laughs and says I'm too big to be such a sissy. But hey! I'm a lover, not a fighter.

Purrs,
Toby
PS: Check out all my new pictures!

toby's new name is Mystic. He is doing great. He loves to give kisses and sleeps on my sons bed at night. He loves to play and spends most of the day watching the birdfeeders we have. We have some interactive toys , which he likes. when ever I cuddle with my son, we just wait a moment and he always joins us. my son has been enjoying him. He has been a great addition to our home.

Mystic is doing wonderful. He went to the vet november 20th and had his vaccines updated. He is very healthy. He has a new window perch which is his favorite place to look outside. He loves his toys and has been watching holiday shows with my son and I. Anything on the floor is his property, so when my son was doing science experiments on the floor Mystic joined in!

Mystic has had a few tough weeks. He blocked three times and finally had to have the Perineal Urethrostomy surgery. He is recovering now in my bedroom. He is a favorite at the vets. They love when Mystic comes for visits. He was there almost every day for about 3 weeks! He is loving the extra attention he is getting. He still loves to sleep on my sons bed. He loves his interactive toy so much that Santa Paws has to bring a new one this year!

Having Mystic is very much like having a large dog around. He finds any food in the house. We have to be sure to hide everything and not leave anything on the counter. He will go thru the garbage and the groceries that you just put on the floor! He ate Santa's cookies last year too! My son says his nickname is "No Mystic No"! he is such fun, but a handful!

Mystic has not fully recovered yet from being blocked. His surgery went great and that has healed. But, he only pees once a day. The doctors believe his bladder was distended for so long, it basically forgot how to work. He is on a lot of medication and we are waiting to see how to help him more.

Mystic is doing better. He will be on a lot of medication for the rest of his life to help him pee. He has to eat special food too. He seems happy overall and is enjoying life. He has a new water fountain and he loves it.
He is still in the middle of everything and keep life interesting!

He is still doing ok on all of his medications. Still pees only once a day , but it seems to work for him.
He is still king of the house!

Mystic passed away from his illness on July 2nd 2014. It was very hard on him and he lived with his illness for about 4 years. We will miss him. He was the life in our home. It is very quiet without him.

KIT
Foster mom is very sad that no one has asked about me. She says you don't know what you are missing by not asking. I am sweet and mellow and lovable. I have excellent litterbox habits and will eat both wet and dry food so what's not to love? I am learning how to play something I wasn't able to do before because I had babies to take care of. Now I am free to be young and carefree myself.

Rhett is doing great! He is such a delight-fearless, sweet and loving. He has gained a pound and got a good report from the vet. He did have to go on antibiotic for a week for some yucky eyes, but that has cleared up well. Our dog, Einstein loves him and our other kitty has become more outgoing and playful, though she is quick to put him in his place when she's had enough. He is everything my daughter, Tessa wanted. Once again I want to thank everyone involved in the adoption. It was a pleasure meeting and working with all of you. I will send a picture as soon as I figure out how to do it(:

ALICE
Yes, I am sweet as candy. More soon!
Notes from Home
Alice (Candy's new name) has been with me for just over a year and her new brother Emmett joined us shortly after that. Alice is a sweet, lovable and sometimes a little impatient, meezer. She just LOVES to play! Her favorite game is fetch, with her little pink mouse that her Foster Meowmy sent home with her. When I'm not throwing the mouse, she's bringing it to me to throw. She also enjoys playing with strings and other fun things. When I'm not playing with her, she enticing Emmett into a game of tag -- they sometimes sound like a heard of elephants rather than two meezers. Once in a blue moon she does take time to nap too but not before getting some snuggles in.

Alice is certainly the quintessential siamese cat -- playful, talkative and loving.

Update: July, 2014. Just a few weeks past Miss Alice's 6th birthday she crossed the Rainbow Bridge and received her golden tail. She was playful, talkative and loving up until the last week of her life. After several months of tests and several different treatments, she succumbed to intestinal cancer. She was a trooper and the radiologist who finally discovered the tumor was surprised at how well she was doing. She was a quintessential meezer to the end. Thanks Siamese Cat Rescue for giving Emmett and I six wonderful years with her!

Notes from Home
Napoleon's been with us for a month now, and he is doing really well! We love having him as a new member of our family, and from the very first day he has shown us that he's a well adjusted cat who is comfortable in our care. He's wonderful in all his habits, aside from an insistence on digging the dirt out of our potted plants (large stones on top of the soil should help to curb that). I do wish he was a bit more cuddly -- the end of the few seconds during which he'll acquiesce to some cuddling/head rubbing is signaled by a quick warning bite to the loving hand. But even that is improving, and sometimes now his warning is just an open mouth, which we quickly heed. At just over a year old, he's very young and energetic, and probably his sweet calm purring lap-sitting moments will increase as he ages and becomes even more comfortable with us. He has boundless energy! We really think he would play until his body just gave out -- he's a focused and agile stalker/jumper/racer. He captures his "prey" in his mouth and swaggers with head and tail held high, dragging the toy (stick, string and all), down the hall or stairs into a box or inside his play tunnel. Hilarious!

Our dear N is such a joy. He's a very "young" 18 months; very curious and into everything. He's totally wedded to the daily routine, and eagerly anticipates thrice-daily dedicated playtimes. He's a nut with his toy called a "Cat Catcher" -- clearly that is the best thing on Earth from his perspective! We're happy to report that he, as we had hoped, has also become a bit more cuddly now that he's been with us 4 months. As the photo shows, he occasionally is a blanket-hogging lap sitter! Makes us very happy. :-)

Tragic news to report - Napoleon has passed away. We are completely devastated that this beautiful bundle of energy and joy is gone after only eight months as part of our family. While we were on a week's vacation in early May, our cat sitter (who is a vet tech) called to say Napoleon had chewed a toy and might have swallowed several inches of elastic string. All of us were highly alarmed, but as three weeks passed with no change whatsoever in his behavior, we dared to hope all would be well. But on the evening of June 1st he went into severe distress and after exam/tests at the emergency night-time vet, we made the decision to end poor little Napoleon's suffering. I'm trying to see the bigger picture, that SCRC rescued him from trying to survive on his own, and for eight long months of his too-short life we gave him a very loving and caring home. But even after several weeks have passed, I'm still completely heartbroken that he is gone. I know that all of you understand, and cared for him and us, and we wanted you to know.

INDIE
Vocal, demanding, in your face, petite, sweet and opinionated, I'm just the cat's meow for someone who wants a very in your face, very chatty, very involved cat. I'd probably do best as the only cat only because I sequester all the attention if at all possible, but if you want to bring in a laid back elderly gentleman to keep me company, as long as he dotes on my every need, we'll do fine.
Notes from Home
At age 12, Indie is still healthy and happy. She had a great check-up with her vet.
