Notes from Home
I wish we had good news. It's been a roller coaster for sure.

Since Monday, Bailey had not eaten. We brought him to the vet this afternoon, and she confirmed that the earlier "bounce" was due to the residual Prednisone in his system, and not as a result of infection that was getting under control.

As Bailey had Lymphoma, we decided that euthanasia was the preferred option. It was not an easy choice by any means. The vet and her assistant were very good, and Bailey was so lethargic to start with, he didn't resist. His passing was swift and painless. His remains are being cremated.

Please continue doing your wonderful work. Bailey has been a blessing to us.

hugs,
John and Marge

GIZMO
Hug me, hug me, hug me! I'm all about purring and being loved on :) Very low key easy going no politics type guy, I'm fine with just about anything provided it's not too busy, too loud, too crazy or too scary. I'm eagerly awaiting your invitation!

He is fitting in fine. Gizmo is friendly, loving and is adjusting as if he has always lived here. Gizmo has passed away due to seizures. I will miss him.

Notes from Home
Now for an Ajax story. Ajax is totally amazing. Very very intelligent, and possibly the most loving cat I have ever known. And he is also the family athlete. No place is safe, no matter how high! He can jump from the bed to the top of the dresser across the 'aisle' in the bedroom; he can jump onto the shelves of my hutch ( shudder) and visit my grandmother's china; the washing machine is no effort at all, and now he is trying to figure out how to get from there to the pantry shelves, if only there was room to land there! He sits up on the washer and cries for me in his tiny little voice to come pick him up and give him a 'tour' of the pantry shelves; you can just see those little wheels in his head turning as he tries to see a good place to land up there... I have learned to keep those shelves full at the edges in hopes that he is too discouraged to try jumping up, but I have no doubt that one of these days I will find him up there, calling me to come see what a wonderful thing he did!!!

APOLLO
Pick me - Pick me!!
Well us actually.
Better than Twice The Fun With Doublemint Gum we are.
Foster Mary can give you all the information on us that you might need.
We're still young (7 years is nothing), we're lovable and huggable, we have great meezer voices, we are loyal, and the list goes on.
My bro, Ajax, and myself want a forever and ever home where we are loved, cherished and adored.
And guess what - you will get that back TIMES TWO!!!
Notes from Home
So, here is my Apollo story for today. He has turned out to be quite a character; very lovable and entertaining. For those of you that don't know my Apollo, he is a lonnnngggg kitty. At about 15 pounds, he is slim and muscular, not fat. And I am a vertically challenged woman, about 5'2"... And Apollo has adopted me. He follows me absolutely everywhere, kitchen ( of course, there might be food there... ), den, bedroom, bathroom.. ( He hasn;t yet figured out that the seat could be up and be very dangerous for athletic kitties.. ) But anyhow. Now that he has chosen me as his adopted human, he wants to sleep with me, which is very nice; loving and cuddly, warm in the chilly weather. We have a California King size bed, my husband is tall and likes his space. Up til now , that has been plenty of room, even with a cat in the bed. (or two) Now, however, things are getting just a bit tight. Apollo, you see, likes to lie between us and stretch out his full length ACROSS the bed. And he then pushes with his little toes all night. And he is strong! So by morning, both of us are trying to hang on the our respective edges of the bed!!! Luckily, we love him very much, and prefer to have him there anyhow . :) A house without cats is not a home!!

COCO NUT
Front and central, I'm the ambassador cat who checks everything out! I can play a good game of hide and seek (watch my video to see) but when you find me, I come right out and am ready to interact. I can do the best two footed headbutt dance you have ever seen! Other cats are fine as long as I get the attention I need!

Notes from Home
Oh Mr, Coco Nut, where can I even begin. For starters I have waited to make this update for awhile due to some medical issues that Coco Nut has had in order to provide the correct information to everyone. After getting sick on and off for the past month and we finally have a diagnosis: Coronavirus. We were heartbroken at the news for both him and other siamese Puff Puff but our vet assured us that she was probably exposed at some in her life and that she probably has a stronger immune system and that 90% of cats have it but only 5% get very sick. We were told that he may be near the tail end of this disease due to his frequent illness but it has not made our love for him any less.

He is such a character, who was very shy at first but now knows this is his home. He chose my mom immediately and gave her kisses and nuzzles on her face from the very beginning (I haven't earned that yet) and loves spending time with us humans. His relationship with the other kitty has grown too, when are around they barely look at each other but we have caught them on multiple occasions sharing my bed or cuddled up next to each other when they think we are not looking.

Our hope is that this round of antibiotics he is currently on will help him get stronger, and that our prayers work and he avoids illness for quite some time. Either way, for better or worse, we thank you so much for Coco Nut and are so happy to have him in our family,

CIRCE
I'm the real deal.
I've got the whole package.
I'm a 10.
Notes from Home
Circe aka Sugar Baby, was described by Siamese Rescue as a "10." She still is, more than five years later! She can leap tall couches in a single bound, and likes to carry feather and panic mice in her mouth (unless she is busy talking). She has brought lots of joy to everyone (except, some days, to her adopted brother Sasso aka Paco). Thanks Siamese Rescue!

STELLA
I came in as a stray, and pretty neglected. I'm pretty pathetic here - don't you agree? But I'm better now and foster mom promises I will be a new cat in no time. I was a real favorite at the shelter 'cause I'm so sweet - they all had to hug me and say goodbye! I can be a favorite at your house, too. Better pictures of me coming very soon, I like petting better than posing.
I won't be here long, that is certain, so click on me now!

Notes from Home
Stella was a little shy at first, but it didn't take long for her to begin trusting us. She loves any toy that makes noise. Especially the crinkle tunnel. She's prone to headbutts and falling down when you speak softly to her. We like to joke that we adopted a fainting goat! It was very hard to keep her and Declan (who arrived one week before her) apart during her isolation. They would stick their paws under the door to play with each other, but there was never any hissing or aggression. They have been absolutely inseparable since their introduction. We couldn't be happier!

DECLAN
Looking for a super sweet kitty companion that loves people, loves to be held, likes and gets along with other kitties and loves to sit in a lap most of all? Well, that's me - look no further!

Snuggles,
Declan
Notes from Home
What an absolute mush! Declan fell right into our arms and our hearts within minutes of arriving home. I don't think this cat has ever known a stranger. When he first arrived, he spent most of his days sleeping next to me while I worked. Now, he spends his days sleeping next to his new companion, Stella! While not sleeping, he's perched on top of his cat tree surveying the backyard birds or romping through the house with Stella. He loves to play with our daughter and will sit by the door waiting for the school bus to bring her home. We couldn't be happier with our new meezer family!

Notes from Home
September 30, 2013: One year ago today, Molly came home with us. She was a shy girl, and at first would only allow us to pet her when she burrowed under the bed covers and snuggled up to us. That’s made “firsts” with her very precious: the first time she purred just because we said her name; the first time she curled up close to the other cats to snooze; the first time she let us pet her out in the open; the first time she came running to greet us after we’d been away for an afternoon. She’s still very cautious about hands, and that may never change, but we love her dearly. We’re so glad she agreed to live with us!
Thank you Siamese Rescue for saving this sweet girl. Thank you, Diane and Siri, for being such great foster moms. And thank you to our interviewer, Debbie, who worked with us to make sure our situation would be the right one for Miss Molly.

September 30, 2014: This has been an eventful year for Molly! She and I were in an automobile accident in April: a guy in a VERY BIG truck ran a red light and hit us. She was uninjured (thanks to her carrier being seat-belt secured) but I thought Molly would regress to being as shy or shyer than she was when she came to live with us. Instead, she’s in the mood for loving more often! She is also much braver with other people than she was before the accident. I wouldn’t recommend being in a car wreck together as a way of bonding with your cat, but Molly really surprised me with her response to it! I think she knows she’s HOME, and she’s happy here. And we’re so happy she came to live with us! Thank you again SCRC!

Biiiiizzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That's me! I'm curious, outgoing, mischievous and fun loving. Love everything and everyone, but not sitting still for too long. If you are a mover and shaker, let's do that funky chicken dance together!

Notes from Home
Kit is still doing great. Except he still can't jump up on the kitchen counter (36" high). I tried enticing him with food, but can't do it, so I put a basket there for him to get on and then jump the rest of the way. I think that he has gained a little weight, but would like to see a little more on him. His favorite hangout is still the screened in porch or a cushion on a dining chair. My other cat, Willow, and Kit get a little closer, nose to nose, but Willow still is not ready to make complete friends with him yet. I am anxious to see them finally play and sleep together. the photos that I will upload might be repeats.
