I can't believe it's been 2 years since Biscuit (formerly Dobie) has been with us. Although he is still very skittish and is by no means a lap cat, he has us trained on when he wants us to pet him and has not problem vocalizing his needs. Him and Katie get along fine but since Katie is a senior now she lets him know when she is not interested in playing. Biscuit was diagnosed with an immunity problem and is prone to eye infections, but we were given medications for his eyes and treat it as soon as it appears.
We love Biscuit and are happy to have this be his forever home.

SMOKEY
Hi there! My name is Smokey, for my smoldering good looks and satiny smooth personality. I'm looking for a quiet home with just a couple of big cats with opposable thumbs to open those little cans of food, and to pet me and love me. I've been in a busy home before and it's just not my style. I'm just chillin', waiting for you to push that 'adopt me' button.

Here's a 10 month update on Smokey.

Where to begin? To start, we now call him "Smokes" or "Smoke" for short, formally, he is still Smokey. He is quite possibly the BEST kitty in the whole world!! He's a loving, friendly, talkative, gorgeous, playful, sleepy, snuggling, spoiled Siamese boy who loves attention! Sometimes, we will take glamour shots, seriously, just look through the pictures. He's very photogenic.

He's most talkative in the mornings when he craves his Fancy Feast, and as soon as we get home from work, especially when he wants you to sit down so he can start his nightly biscuit making on your belly. He does exceptionally well with his scratching post, and that's the one thing I was nervous about in the beginning, however, he does prefer the rope style posts best. Only not-so-positive thing, he LOVES to pounce on and attack our feet that are under the covers, but will run as soon as I reach for the water bottle. :-)

Best of all, we have potty trained Smokes to use the toilet! When I adopted him, I was informed that he was surrendered due to him not using the litter box, and instead would have accidents all over the house. Clearly, the former owner had something preventing him from using the box. When I first got him, he used the box all the time, and now, as an adult cat, he has easily adapted to using a human toilet. I could not be happier! :-D

We love our blue eyed baby!!

WOODY
I'm Woody and I'm a lover. Just livin' up to my flame point boy reputation! I like to talk and chirp. And I love to cuddle with hoomans. I love other cats too, but I want to tell you about a special girl, Cipria VA4641, we make a great pair of Ringtail bookends. We have SO much fun running and wrestling together. She cleans me up if I get dirty too. We get along so well, please consider having both of us! It's Ringtail Siamese love!

Notes from Home
Got a note today for Woody's 9 year anniversary with us. We lost his sister, Lil' Bit, in October and he was soooo very lonely. He'd never been an "only" before. The end of October we drove to GA and picked up Charlie, a little Tortie with only one eye. We are still working on getting these 2 together. Turns out Charlie was a lot older than we first thought and pretty set in her ways. We got her through Siamese Rescue also, and she is teeny tiny and adorable. They both want to be the alpha and so far that's not going too well. But, we keep trying. Woody is now considered a senior, I guess, but still loves to play and sing and talk. All of our friends and family love him and want to take him home with them whenever they visit. Talk about purrrrsonality - Woody is wonderful. We love him so much. He's doing great and his last check-up went really well, too.

QUINN
Lil' bit? I'm anything but little. I'm one of those old-fashioned apple head meezers that you don't see much any more. More about me soon - but my shelter paperwork said that I liked other cats, small dogs, and older children. So far I'm a freindly, well-adjusted, and purry guy. And quite the good looking one, if I do say so myself. I'll be meeting the other kitties here this weekend, but so far those paws that go under the door to my room don't bother me at all. I go to the vet this week to make sure all's well, but I'll be ready to go home soon. Need a big blue cat? Then maybe you should ask about me. I'm 9 1/2 pounds of nice tempered, good looking Meezer.

Notes from Home
I can't believe it's already been a year! Quinn continues to blossom in our home and is really a very loving, well adjusted mush of a cat. He loves to play with my daughter and torment our dog and he's taken up permanent residence on our bed during the day. We are just thrilled with our sweet Quinn and very thankful for SCRC!

What a wonderful two years it has been! Quinn continues to thrive and enjoy our family and we just adore him. He is basically a quiet soul who would prefer to have relationships on his own terms. He accepts the dog but I would not say that he loves her. We adopted a Siamese mix kitten from our vet who is the most confident, non-stop bundle of lurching reeling energy and I think she is breathing a little life into our quiet man. It’s fun to hear them galloping around the house. He would prefer not to cuddle with her but she just won’t take no for an answer as you can see from one of the pictures. Thank you again for all you do and for helping us to find such a loving, wonderful addition to our family!

It's been three years since we've adopted Quinn and I can't say enough about how we love him. He's a very sweet - but timid - cat who has really come out of his shell since we adopted a kitten last year. Although he likes to be alone, he loves to wrestle and chase her and will even tolerate her laying next to him on occasion. He's not a huge fan of the dog but I think he likes her too deep down inside. Thanks again - we just adore him!

Four years has gone by in a flash! Quinn continues to be a sweet, gentle soul and we just adore him. His personality continues to blossom each year we have him and he continues to be such a wonderful gift to our family! Thanks again.

We just celebrated Quinn's 5th anniversary in his forever home. He is just the loveliest cat and we can't imagine life without him! Thanks again.

I can't believe it's been 6 years since we've adopted Quinn! He's a very sweet boy who continues to bring us much happiness - thanks again!

Hi, I'm Mousie-Tung, pleased to meet you. Just a few things you might want to know about me... I love people, I like to play, I'm curious and I'm great with the litter box. QUILL
Well my brother went home yesterday and I am happy that he has found a wonderful forever home. Now it is my turn. I am a beautiful petite little girl. I love to play and since my brother is gone Rocket will be my buddy. The three of us played together before so I know Rocket very well.

I was hoping to start the new year in my new home but that hasn't happened so I am looking for it to happen soon. Do you think you would like to have me come to your home soon? Thank you, Amelia

SIMBA
I am just doing great and all the things that happened to me seem like a bad dream. I feel so good now and I am ready to go and enjoy life with my very own purson. I have a dazzling smile and great baby blues, all I need is some shades and a convertible and I could be the man about town. I am getting to do all of the things that I should have been doing a long time ago, playing with toys, sleeping in nice, cushy spots in the sun and enjoying life. The food is great and I am not picky, let me tell you! If you call me, I will come over and dance around on my tippy toes to get some scritches. I so want to be loved! I do like to play with another youngster here and I get along with the other cats pretty well, but a little less hectic environment would be appreciated. I tried the lap thing but I am not sure that is the thing for me--we'll see....So, if you are looking for a nice, loyal little boy who will love you forever, I AM your meezer man! Ask about ME!!!!

Notes from Home
We were dealing with his kidney issue with prescription food, which he hated so we kept tying other wet food because dry isn't great for cat's kidneys, they need moisture. But he had lost so much weigh and it didn't seem like anything we gave him added weight. So I took him to the vets again about a month ago and his thyroid levels were off and he had a heart murmur, but his kidney level were the same so we (the vet & I) said we justs need him to eat so we started giving him dry again. His breathing was a little off back then but not too bad and our vet didn't seem concerned at the time. But lately we notice he was really laboring to breath and he wasn't himself; just sitting in the middle of the living room. We took him to the vets yesterday and he had a lot of fluid around his lungs and his liver was enlarged. They could have drained the fluid but it would have most likely return (a day, a month) He could have had a seizure and died a very painful death. With his age and with everything else that was going on with him and how unhappy and uncomfortable he was, after a very long discussion with the vet, we made the very hard decision have him laid to rest. I am heartbroken. He was my first Siamese Cat Rescue and he was a little neurotic but all and all he was a great kitty and I will miss him dearly. Debbie

BROWNIE
If you adopt me, guess what you'll get? No, not just a lovely healthy strapping young lad good in my habits, fine with other cats, and a well suited cat for a family situation!

You'll get Brownie points!!!!!

Notes from Home
Brownie is a purrfect pick for our home. He has the most laid back cat personality ever. Then he can be so super nosy, running from the back door looking and then back to his cat ladder at his fav window to see what is going on outside.
He is ever patient with our youngest son and loves to check out visitors.
Follows me everywhere. Likes to sleep on the end of my bed.
He lets you know when he wants a little more attention and even "talks" back to you some. He loves getting exercise chasing his laser light or just chasing what seems like nothing.
We are enjoying him being in out home.

It has been a month since Cleo Rose, formerly known as Brienne, has come to us, and we couldn't be happier! We were very pleased at how quickly she acclimated to us and our home, considering it took her months to do so at the foster's house. It seemed that she "chose" us! She enjoys curling up by the radiator, sitting on our laps, watching the bubbles in her gravity waterer, and bossing us around. I hope that all who adopt through Siamese Rescue will be as happy as we are.

CLIO
Hi, Pheobe. I was running loos up in the Virginia Beach area until someone caught me in a trap. I was terrified and stressed and got sick. That's why I have the white hairs showing in my face. (Called a fever mask). Meowmy gave me time to settle in when I got here and I've now stopped hiding, but am still a little nervous when she picks me up. I do love it when she pets me, though, and sometimes give her love bites which she told me isn't allowed. So I have to learn to be a good girl.

I am now feeling better, and am eating well, and meowmy said I have excellent litter box habits. I still need to give up more of my secrets, but you can ask about me and we'll see if I'd fit into your household.

I am making myself right at home here. I am now known as Clio and I think I like my new name. I was shy at first but now am out and about and enjoying the whole house. I really love technology and help out when there is some computing to do. I know they appreciate my assistance. I get to catch a little shut eye when possible though I may choose some unorthodox poses. I think I like it here and will stay.
