Notes from Home
Wentworth has turned out to be the perfect cat for us. He likes a lot of attention, is curious about everything that we do, LOVES to play with wand toys, and talks to us constantly. He has no problem being picked up (which is very important for Claire) and he likes to cuddle when the mood hits him, which is a few times a day. We've had no behavioral or litter box issues with him. He has a perch right by our big living room windows and loves to curl up and watch the street traffic below

He seems incredibly happy - I think he's just glad to be the only cat and to have his own people to talk to. We've carefully introduced him to a dog who is good with cats, and given how aggressive he was with cats it was a little surprising to see how relaxed and comfortable he was with the dog. We're currently dog sitting the same dog, and Wentworth seems more curious than anything else. Well, maybe he's more indifferent than anything else, but the dog is a very lazy greyhound who barely moves. We'd like to own a dog in the future if possible, so his comfort around a relaxed dog was great news.

He is VERY curious about the hallway outside our apartment, but we've figured out how to keep him from dashing out (there's nowhere for him to go out there, but some of our neighbors have dogs who are out there for walks sometimes). Despite our best efforts to make it work, he was completely confounded by a harness that we bought him to walk in the hallway. Claire still hopes that some day he will do something other than immediately flop on the ground after we get the harness on him.

We'll upload some pics in a bit!

BERNIE
Lovely affectionate easy going boy!
Notes from Home
Hi,
Well, it's been 3 months and our Bernie is so awesome!!
I uploaded 5 pics to the site and I hope you can tell how much he fits in to our little family - he made himself right at home. He plays with all of his toys and throws them under the furniture so we are constantly going on missions to recover them which he loves taking part in. We are so happy to have him around and he makes us laugh every day - what a large personality in a tiny body!
More pics to come since I take about 50 a day:)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

DESIREE
Wanna lap! Wanna lap! I WANT A LAP!

Do you have a lap for me?

10/01/14
I am feeling so much better and eating on my own. Meowmy is hopeful I can come off evaluation soon. Are looking for a sweet, gentle, loving lap kitty? Watch for me to be available and click!

09/29/14
I've really been struggling this past week. I think I'm finally starting to feel better and starting to eat on my own. Stay tuned for updates.

09/20/14
Found in a Good Sam"s backyard with my 3 siblings. Bottle fed and loved, but she had 6 cats of her own and couldn't keep us. So, to the shelter I went with one of my non-Siamese siblings. Five days later I found myself in a carrier on a long long trip to Foster Moms.

Absolutely the sweetest, gentlest, softest little girl. Loves, loves, loves to be held and snuggled!

Desiree has wrapped us around her little paws! We absolutely adore her! She settled in right away and has kept her appetite and uses her litter box. She's been out of her room and explored the rest of the house a few times. She's even explored my sewing room and had her first sewing lesson - how to properly play with the tape measure! She's seen and smelled our resident dog, Tasha, who is extremely curious about the new furry in the family. Desiree is very curious, too, but doesn't like Tasha's loud barking one bit! It will take time but we're hope they will be friends by the New Year. She goes to our vet for her first visit tomorrow and we hope they can give some suggestions on how to keep Tasha from barking when she sees Desiree.

We can't thank you all enough for doing your part to bring Desiree to us!

11/22/14
Desiree went to the vet on Monday and they loved her! She was a very good girl and they really appreciated all the info they received. She has a yeast infection in her ears which they say is not unusual from getting rid of the ear mites. She tolerates the Micazole Lotion we put in her ears. Tasha & Desi and slowly getting calmer about each other and have had several sightings of each other without getting hyper-excited or scared. We're making progress in small baby steps!

ISIS
I'm a sweet and beautiful lynx girl - a real one - and I've lived with other cats. My housemates were Jazzie, Gizmo, and Sushi - all on the 'adopted' pages. I was last to come in as I needed to wean my kittens first. They've all gone to their homes and now it's my turn! I'm starting to meet the other kitties here, and they are fine by me. I even rubbed up against the other lynx point that lives here - he's twice my size but I'm not scared! Foster momma keeps calling me things like Sweetie and Sweetheart. She knows what a loveable little thing I am!
Notes from Home
ISIS is such a social creature. We really weren't worried about her at all -- more worried about NEKO, who we adopted 2 years ago, adjusting to the new addition. We gave ISIS her own room and introduced them gradually. After less than 2 weeks, she was fully integrated. There was some initial posturing -- hissing and swatting -- but now they get along fine. We even saw ISIS grooming NEKO at one point. She is a hoot! So unlike timid NEKO. She carries around her Siamese beanie babies from floor to floor and is constantly playing. We still keep her in her own room at night or when we leave the house, but we don't think it will be long before they are together 24/7.

Because of recent publicity about the ISIS terrorist group, we were seriously considering changing her name. However, we have decided she kinda lives up to the name. She is always underfoot, sometimes scooting in a closet unseen. But since she is always vocal, she can't be forgotten if the door closes with her inside. She absolutely hates the deck that her brother, NEKO, loves. But she is very loving and gentle and loves to romp and play. In the evening or at nighttime, she is either on a lap or cuddled in our bed. Check out our photo - ISIS in time out.

LANDRY
Sweet young male cat needing a new place to call home. Landry loves to talk and tell us what he thinks about things. He doesn't seem to mind other cats and we will find out more about that soon.
Update 10/30/09 landry is a lover and gets along with the two females he is with. He was very sweet with the Pip the kitten.

Notes from Home
Hi everyone - as you can see I am really living the good life. I have comfortable places to sleep, all the food I want and even a nice girlfriend to spend time with. My Mom and Dad make sure I stay in tip top condition, taking me for my regular vet visits, and even having my teeth cleaned when necessary. I do still need my allergy shots, but look at how beautiful they make my coat. My Dad is my favorite person in all the world. When I first came to live with my Mom and Dad, he spent three whole weeks sleeping with me in the spare bedroom so I would not be lonesome. He is the best person ever. He is retired and home with me all day, so we spend some good quality time together. I hope all of you get a wonderful home for the holidays. Love Landry.

NEKO
"Can't keep me". That's all my former family told the shelter. But I'm a sweet boy, and will probably fit in just about anywhere. I love the other cats here, and while I'm a bit scared at first, once I know it's all OK I love the people too. I'm a very nicely marked lynx, with lovely blue eyes and a short, close coat. I have a cute little peep of a voice, and I do like to talk. I use my litter box like a good boy, and I'm not fussy about food. I've been to the vet, pronounced healthy, and am all ready to go home - would that be *your* home? If you're tired of those same-old, same-old seal points, then why not spice up your home with a lynx point?
Notes from Home
It's hard to believe we've had NEKO for a year. He had his annual physical on October 15th, including his FVRCP booster and Rabies Feline booster. He came to us weighing 8.7 pounds. He now weighs 14 pounds. Our vet said he is in perfect health, although he could stand to lose 1/2 pound, so we've cut back a little on his food & treats. We've left him for a couple of overnights and had a couple in our community visit to feed, clean his litter box and connect. Initially he was very scared of people other than Jack and me, but over the past year he has gradually become curious about others coming to visit and even lets them stroke him. Over the summer he enjoyed being on our deck, watching movement in the community. He loves to nap on our laps in the evening and comes upstairs to visit us in bed early in the morning. He is very vocal when he knows it's time to eat. Everyone who sees him says he's the most beautiful cat they've ever seen, and we agree!

November 2014 - NEKO continues to thrive. He was up to 15+ pounds but at his last checkup dropped 3, now weighing in at 12 pounds (a perfect weight for him according to our vet) thanks to his sister, Isis, rescued 2 years ago. Although he has definitely made it clear that he is the ALPHA male, he and his sister have a lot of fun romping daily. His favorite pasttime, however, is the time he spends on our second floor deck. He spends all his free time spring thru fall watching other animals and kids in the neighboorhood -- and snoozing in the warm sun. He is no longer afraid of visitors and in fact is curious about each new person coming into our home. He has been a true gift to us.

MAISY
Looking for a petite young lady with classic good looks? Then check me out. Brother Toby and I come as a pair, so please ask about him, too, if you inquire about me. I know - he's not the stunner that I am, but we go together. He's the lover, I'm the classic diva.

Notes from Home
Maisy was very shy, scared, and quiet at first. She hid behind the master bathroom toilet as all spaces were covered so she could not get under any furniture. Late on the first night she came to the door and played with a toy string, but would not come near us. We heard them playing in the night so we knew she was ok. Sunday Maisy hissed at us. Monday I caught her napping on the back of couch, but she ran from me if I got near. By wednesday she obvious was really missing affection because she jumped up and layed on my lap all night. We didn't think she even meowed. We did not hear anything from her for over a week. SHe has a cute little honk, not all the typical deep siamese cry, but we love it anyway.
Maisy loves to lay on my lap or lay in front of the fireplace. She purrs much more than Toby does.
We kept both of their names, but we gave them nick names. We call Maisy "MaeMae" and Toby "TobTob".

Year 4 , maisy was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease a year ago. We have a wonderful new vet that comes right to the house since she needs to be seen more often. We have had some other health scares since the diagnosis...pancreatitis in January, chronic sinus infection most likely caused by a tumor, and most recently bloody urine due to cystitis. We take it day by day enjoying every moment we have with her since she may not be with us much longer.
Maisy is a snuggler, she sleeps under the covers curled up next to mom. She shows us when she is not getting the attention when she wants by chewing on her tail and getting it soaking wet, does not make for a nice tail to pet. She also pulls chunks of hair off her back when she is unhappy....especially after receiving fluids. She is such a good girl and takes her pills with little effort.
Maisy still loves to play with pompoms and sparkle balls. She still plays like a kitten from time to time. She loves belly rubs and purrs and talks to us all the time. She is the light and love of our lives and we are deeply sadden that she has fallen ill so early in life. We take care of her needs to best of our ability and try to make her comfortable and happy with time we have left.

November 2014
We are severely heart broken to update that Maisy peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge on November 10, 2014, just shy of her 5 year Anniversary. She fought a brave 2 years with her kidney disease and chronic sinus issues. We tried our best to keep her comfortable and it all just became too much for her and we had to make the hardest decision a pet owner has to make.
She was such a sweet, loving snuggle bug even up until the end. We miss her dearly and will carry her in our hearts forever.

ANYA
Hi guys! I am pretty overwhelmed by all the changes and can get scared easily by loud noises. but I do like to sit on foster mom's lap and I purr the moment she picks me up! I do like to play with Zubi and we would make a great pair he is a great friend So why not take the two of us! We are small.
Notes from Home
Shirley and all,
Anya (no name change) is a happy, wonderful, healthy and sweet kitty. She loves
attention from Mom & Dad on her terms, sits in Dad's lap every night but still
hides when company arrives. However just opened up last week to her sitter to
accept some petting from her while Mom & Dad were away. She had her annual
physical and necessary vaccines last month. She enjoys spending time with her
buddies... Gracie, aa 11 year old mix russian blue/siamese rescued from a local
shelter after a long 6 month wait for a home 6 years ago and Quinn... a special
calico found wandering in the parking lot at Dad's work 3 years ago as a 5 oz
scared kitten. Anya loves the sun room (see pic) where the bright light shows
her big blue eyes and in front of the fireplace with Quinn.

Shirley... I think you may recall how shy Anya was when we adopted her. I
questioned our ability the first week she was here to break through and gain her
trust. She has become a real friendly little lady who loves our laps. She is
very very talkative and chirps a lot. So sweet.

ALBERT
UPDATE!!!!! Oh no, oh no please don't send me away.. Meowmy figured out my secret, that I am just about blind. I can see shadows so I get around pretty good. But I have been so afraid that if Meowmy knew I was blind, I'd get sent back to that noisey place. Oh BOY! Meowmy said that it's OK, she still loves me and someone else will love me too and give me a forever home. Will YOU give me a forever home? Well, here I am! Thank goodness I'm out of that noisey place. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr, The shelter beans said something about a big E and they just had to call Siamese rescue so they wouldn't have to do the big E thing. Purrrrrrrrrr, I still don't know what the big E thing is but this foster place sure is nice! All I want is lovin's lovin's and more lovin's. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, All these silly beans thought I was an old man as I had some teeth problems in the past and don't have many teeth left but I am a young guy just looking for some lovin'! Purrrrrrrrrrrr, please just one little tickle, purrrrrrrrrr, oh oh I love you too! Purrrrrrrrrrr, all I need is just some of that good canned stuff and a few crunchies to hold me over till next feeding time and ohhhhh lots and lots of tickles! Purrrrrrrrrrrrr, Oh that feels so good, look here , here's my tummy , would you tickle that too?!?!? Purrrrrrrrrrrr, Oh that is so nice, can I lay right down beside you and purr you to sleep? Purrrrrrrrrrrrr, I am the sweetest guy and would love to lite up your life if you'll let me! Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Foster: Deb Congrats Patty in PA!

We had a wonderful life with Albert. The kids called him Kanga2. He went to the rainbow bridge a much loved Geezer Meezer. He touched our lives in a significant way...My children were young when we adopted him and they learned from him that being blind would not make you a bad pet or a bad friend. Now as adults they still have a special place in their worlds for visualy impaired cats and dogs because of Albert. They advocate for the adoption of visually impaired cats and dogs where ever they live becasue of the life the knew growing up with Albert.

BAILEY
Dear Adopter:

Isn't the diamond on my forehead stunning? That white sure sets off my crystal blue eyes. I know I am not a perfect sealy girl. I am not even a perfect snowshoe gal. That isn't my mascara running. I have not been crying. I am a happy, sunshine kind of girl.

I love to snuggle and play, play, play. I am a little shy when new people come over, but once I know they are safe I can be their best friend. I even got a little brave on Halloween. Foster mom was sitting on the porch and I came to the storm door to watch all those funny creatures come up and say Trick-or-Treat.

I am ready to go home whenever you say the word!

Love, Lela.

Notes from Home
Bailey Bug is the sweetest baby girl ever. She follows her mommy and daddy everywhere and loves to cuddle. She truly is a kind and loving soul. We are very fortunate to have found out little sweetheart.
