CRICKET
I was living outside in a condo complex, relying on the good will of several neighbors to feed me. Finally, they talked and realized that I didn't have a real home and that winter is fast approaching. So they contacted Siamese Rescue, and here I am just in time to celebrate the holidays with you!

I'm a petite, friendly girl who loves being petted. I'm new here and have had very limited interaction with other cats, but no extreme reaction to seeing them, so foster mom thinks I'll be ok. My neighbors told her I'm scared of dogs, so no woofers in my adoptive home, please. I've got a gentle nature and would be great with kids.

If you're looking for a well-adjusted, healthy, loving girl, please ask about me today!
Purrs,
Cricket

Notes from Home
Cricket has adjusted really well to our home. She is definitely the Queen of the house. She now approaches us all constantly wanting to be rubbed, and she never takes no for an answer. We absolutely love her. You really nailed it when you suggested her for our family.

Thanks so much for helping us find Cricket. We do love her!

SAMANTHA
Samantha, or Sam Sam as she prefers, is a lovely girl. She is extremely affectionate, enjoys a lap, and adores tummy rubs. She has a playful side, as well. She was stressed by other cats in her previous home, so must be an only cat. She needs a home that isn't too active, no dogs, but older children would be ok. There won't be a need for another cat because she will give all the love you could ever ask for!

Check out my new videos!!!

Notes from Home
Samatha arrived well and immediately starting playing, eating, and using the kitty litter.
We kept her in our bedroom and she explored it thoroughly going under everything.
We think she may have lived in a bedroom at her original home to keep her away from the other cats as she was very comfortable about it immediately. When startled, she would go under the bed! Fortunately I had cleaned there.
The first night she slept some with us and some in her own bed which I had put on a raised surface near me.
Week 1: Samantha was very playful--and was hungry. We evidently were not feeding her enough dry food as she went into the shopping bag and helped herself. We kept her in our bedroom and she would sometimes follow us to the door, but did not try to go out. All week we debated whether to let her out and discussed this with her foster mom and interviewer by email. They encouraged us to wait, and we are glad we did. The last day of the week we opened the door and let her out as I was home all day and wanted to be there to see how she did.
Week 2: Samantha cautiously walked out to join Allyssa and me in the hall, was startled by something and ran back in the bedroom. This pattern continued for a few days with Samantha making gradually longer explorations. Anyone moving a chair on our wood floors would send her back into the bed room. So we were glad we had gone slowly and she had a safe room.
The door was open and Samantha would come out to look and see who was out, but still spent most of her time in the bedroom and did not thoroughly explore the other rooms. At about the 3rd night she started running the length of the condo--really fast from the bedroom to the couch. The next day I picked her up and brought her to the couch and we settled in for a petting session. After that the couch was part of her territory and she explored behind and under etc.
I was very busy with finals for a few days but Allyssa reports that Samantha started exploring the house at night and today, at the two week mark, we had a playing session with her near the couch.
Samantha is a very good communicator. She talks to us a lot with a little "Mew" sound instead of the loud messer yowl, but definitely talks. She is very confident and even bossy about when she wants to played with, fed, or petted, or take a nap, or to go on the windowsill and watch what Allyssa calls "Cat TV"
We think Michelle, her foster mom, did a great job building her confidence and somehow Samantha realized immediately that this was her home.
One question-- we see three different ages for her and would really like to know if anyone knows her birth day or at least her birth month--so we can celebrate. (-:
Thanks to all who helped us adopt Samantha.
Janet

CROSBY
Just arrived but I spent some time in another rescue. I am very handsome, very wedgie, very needy - VERY Siamese. I do not like doggies, and I tolerate other cats. I need a person or people who will dote on me, and hold me, and kiss me, and love me. I talk - a lot - especially if you aren't paying enough attention to me. Foster mom says that I am a cat for someone who knows what they are getting themselves into with a cat like me. I do not travel well and riding in the carrier stresses me out, so my transport is going to be limited to an hour or two - tops. More pictures of my very handsome self coming soon! Get ready to ask about me - you won't be sorry.

Notes from Home
Crosby's name is now Sakebu (sah-key-boo) which is Japanese for howler or screamer). He is the most talkative cat I have had yet, and I adore our conversations! He is a lovebug and a wonderfully loyal cat who just wants to be with his person as much as he can. Preferably ON me! I afore his velcro personality immensely. He is sad and even more clingy recently: we just lost his brother Siamese Gabby at the age of 16 to kidney disease and also cancer. Gabby was both of our rock for unending Geezer sweetness and snuggling. We will now be looking to find another calm Meezer to come share our life. Mommy is a vet tech and is currently fostering a 7 week old kitten who just had to have a rear leg amputation and is doing super well; she hoped the kitten would be a fun distraction for Sake but that darn thing has no "OFF BUTTON" so Sake tolerates him but isn't really loving having such an energetic pesky little brother. So it is really nice to know that we will stick with our usual preference of adopting an older/mature Geezer that is interested in 20% play/80% snoozing, curled up together in beds, heated beds, window beds, and yes: heated window beds!! Any new kitty has a lot to live up to: mommy gets us to like wearing a harness and like car rides, and has been known to take us camping and even to the beach!! Not to mention the occasional "Go to work with Mommy Day" when we need a little veterinary attention. We thank everyone at SCRC who has helped us through my 2 adoptions and look forward to rescuing again!
Head Bumps and Purrs,

Andrea in PA and Sakebu

CHAUNCY
I love my sister and would really like to live with her. We think a one day transport is as far as we want to travel at least for now. I am the more curious one and want to know what is going on all the time. I play with my sister all the time and we make some noise when we play. I am still a little bit shy but love to sit on foster moms lap and sleep.

Notes from Home
2015Chauncy is both a cuddle bunny and a wild man! He loves to play as much as he loves snuggling with mama. He will curl up with the pups and then next thing you know he's batting at their tails and ears. He and Chelsea are doing great! We love them so much!

2016 Chauncy is so much fun! He climbs up on his tower and waits for an unsuspecting human to walk by and BAM, smacks them right in the head...My uncle discovered that Chauncy likes potato chips when he dropped one on the floor...he loves to play, he loves to cuddle...He picks on one of our dogs so much that the dog just whimpers til mama comes to save him from the big mean kitty...LOL.

Notes from Home
2015 Chelsea & Chauncy are doing amazingly well. They are both close to 9 lbs now. They love their puppy brothers. They run and play through the house. Sometimes all you see is a ball of tails going over tin cups as the roll around on the floor. They are both becoming cuddle bunnies. We love having them and they are very happy in their forever home.

2016 Chelsea & Chauncy are wonderful...Spoiled rotten...Chelsea has really come out of her shell this year. She's still cautious, but will now cuddle up in the crook of our legs when we nap on the couch. She's beautiful and so sweet.

KIRA
Alex already told you our back story. He is the more confident one, I am a little more cautious and complicated, like most girls. We do cuddle together in a Millie bed.

Kira

Notes from Home
Kira has made a great adjustment. She is very affectionate with everyone in the family, going from person to person to be petted. She is doing great! Both she and Alex can be picky with food. But we just change the flavor of food we are getting and that's worked (they like turkey but not tuna & mackeral). We use only grain free food (using the brand "Beyond" for the wet food).

Initially Kira was shy and kept to herself. But now she is totally integrated into our family. She is extremely loving with everyone in the family. When the girls are sitting at a table or on the couch, she often seeks them out sitting either next to them or on them. We have taught her to sit and give paw for her favorite treat. She also likes to fetch her toy mouse. She is very talkative and loves to jump up to eye-level with you and meow at you. We love her.

ALEX
Kira and I were scooped up from Craig's List by a good sam. How could anyone want to get rid of two gorgeous, sweet and well behaved meezers like us? If you are looking for a twosome, check us out.

ALEXI
A diva and gorgeous gal, I'd make a lovely companion for someone who wants a svelte, interactive and wonderful Siamese snowshoe gal. No kids, no other cats please, because it's just going to be you and I baby, and we'll do great! You should have some experience with Siamese, and you should like the intelligence and curious nature we have. You should also understand that females are equals in every household, not just cats, and as long as we set that ground rule from the beginning, all will be well!

Notes from Home
Alexi is a healthy, happy and beeeeeautiful 13 year old and we love her more every day even if we are the only people in the world who have to wait for our meezer to finish showering to take ours. We love all her habits and quirks. She is truly a blessing!!
