DANICA
Hi. My name is Danica and I was just returned to Siamese rescue because my human mommy couldn't take care of me any more. She needs an oxygen bottle with her everywhere she goes. She told me that I shouldn't worry because my new foster pops would find the right home for me with a new family who would love me as much as she does. Would that be you?

Notes from Home
Danica is the princess she always wanted to be. She has decided that my ambassador cat, Tony, is better than catnip since he likes to wash her fur, give her head butts, and snuggle with her. In return she will follow him around and gently chew on his ear after he washes her in the morning. I am glad we adopted Danica since she fits right in at "Casa Kuck" with all of our other cats and meezer fosters.
The attached picture is of Danica and Tony on the kitchen counter waiting for their afternoon "Cunchies.

JULIET
Needed: at least one cat buddy. Regular meals of any variety. An understanding human who will talk lovingly to me and let me adjust at my rate to a new home.
Ready to go home now. Very sweet, not a lap cat yet but loves to be petted and especially to spend time playing feathers with you.

Notes from Home
June 2016:
Juliet had an aggressive tumor in her mouth (it increased in size 25% in a week and was affecting her ability to eat/groom since it was under her tongue). We declined surgery and chemo since she hated being handled (pettings only on HER TERMS tyvm!), and euthanized her last week.
We miss her very much.
7/25/2015: In Sept 2014, we added another member to the family, Romeo (VA10242). They often wrestle and snuggle together. She's still improving in her shyness, she has started letting strangers pet her (if they're real quiet and still). Loud voices and fast movement are still super scary, but otherwise she's okay.
Ginger and Juliet seem to have finally settled their differences, and Ginger no longer hisses at her unless she really gets in Ginger's face. Juliet seems happy to have Romeo for company. :-)
Added 5/29/12: She's still really shy about people. We try to catch her once a month to make sure she's okay (check her over for any injuries, trim her claws, etc), but other than that just pet her when she wants attention from us (usually when she's hungry).
She loves playing with the ball-in-track toys, and we've gotten a few different types with expandable/changable tracks to provide her with variety.
She gets along with the boys well, and will often join one of them in a Millie bed or the box under the cat tree (that has a heated pad in it). Ginger doesn't hiss at her unless she tries to headbutt Ginger, so that's progress (they can walk past each other in the hallway at least).
------------
Added 4/1/11: Ginger still doesn't like her, and I think she's sad about being rebuffed by the alpha cat in the household (Ginger has been hissing and swatting whenever Juliet comes in range, and after that Juliet will go sit in the corner behind the couch). While Juliet and Hunter get along, I find myself wondering if I should get a buddy for Juliet who will bond with her (but who would be confident enough to show Juliet how nice people can be).
She is making progress in being less afraid of people, but slow. She comes to us for attention when she's hungry (even occasionally jumping on the bed and headbutting me in the face), but otherwise she has a few hiding places that she likes to hang out in and watch everyone.
Added 4/15/10: She's been more skittish since we brought Ginger (VA6666) home (02/14/10). She's settling in slowly. She keeps trying to make friends with Ginger but Ginger isn't really interested. Juliet is such a sweet girl and Ginger is tolerating her now (when she first moved in she hissed) so hopefully they'll become friends with time.
Juliet and Hunter still run and play chase, but when Hunter isn't paying attention to her, Juliet is mostly hiding. She's just the lowest on the totem pole and trying to figure out her place, I guess.
She always comes out for food, though, and loves to get attention from us at meal times. We see her in bed occassionally, but not as much as we used to.
-----
Making lots of progress in learning to trust people. Regularly jumps on the bed with us in the mornings and night for attention. Still a little skittish around the house and does NOT want to be picked up. Very lovey as long as she can choose the time and place.

CHLOE
Super fun, super chatty, super loving, super Siamese! I am very well adjusted and immediately explore everything, play with my toys, get on your lap, and purr away. I am curious and smart as expected, and like to be right next to you or on you as you go about your daily activities. Fine if you leave me alone during the day but do hurry home so we can make dinner together and enjoy the evening. Careful, tho, I'm so smart I can open doors, find my catnip, search out the treats and even dial the phone if I try! I graduated top of the class in friendliness and outgoingness, and of course won every beauty pageant there is :) Give me six months to settle in and if you wanted to add a younger easy going male boy later on, I might accept that as long as they remember who rules the roost!

Notes from Home
We received the one-year adoption reminder from the VA Siamese Rescue Center and thought you all would enjoy a recent photo of our beautiful little girl, Chloe. She is our spoiled darling who charms visitors to her home (except those darned grandchildren!) with her antics, friendliness, loud motor, and conversational skills. We, of course, smile and bask in all the compliments.
As for her behavior, she occasionally still bites me but now it's more of a warning to stop petting her rather than a desire to draw blood. I think giving her a daily spinal mini massage has helped to convey how much I love her. And after all ... declawed kitties can't stretch their little backs out as easily as kitties with claws. It gives us time to bond and, no kidding, she loves the massage down her spine and around her shoulder blades where we all carry tension. Of course, she's been Daddy's girl since day one. She still insists that the kitchen counters are part of her domain, but just the threat of the water gun is enough to get her down quickly and quietly. She does love "junk food" treats so we keep them to a minimum to maintain her kitty figure. At her recent visit to the vet, we were told that she's perfectly healthy aside from gaining one pound since adoption and having some gingivitis which has since been minimized by switching her to a dental care food.
I'm sure it's quite obvious that we adore Chloe and send you all our sincerest thanks, once again, for facilitating her adoption!
Just want to let everyone that Chloe is well and, after three years, is finally bonding with her mom. It's been slow. But over the last six months we've seen a huge difference in her demeanor toward me. She and I frequently have some pretty interesting conversations (better than with some humans!) and she seeks my lap for snuggling more than in the past. Silly though it may sound, I've noticed that when she's on my lap, if I look her in the eye and blink slowly that it calms her. Maybe it's kitty talk for, "let's be friends"? All this said, I am still very careful about her tendency to bite after nursing two infected bites.
She recently went to the vet who recommends having her teeth cleaned. She went to vet today for pre-cleaning blood work. Her weight is down from 12 lbs one year ago to 9.6 lbs today, which is about the same as her adoption weight. She's eating well, so the weight loss is most likely due to reduction in treats. Cleaning is next Tuesday.
She's becoming calmer around the grandchildren, but they're still not her favorite people. Her hissing early on set the stage for healthy respect from the kids which is not a bad thing!
Many, many thanks again to everyone involved in her rescue and adoption. She is our gorgeous, sweet diva who invariably makes us smile and makes our house a home. We love her dearly!
P.S. Photos are of Chloe in her favorite bed under a lamp and in her second favorite bed - a duffle bag.
Very best wishes,
Kay and Tom 6/8/14

Notes from Home
Jackson Keefe is doing great! He just got home from a nail clipping & is exhausted! Jax is looking forward to christmas and being well behaved with the tree and decorations! He continues to have an EXCELLENT appetite, at 11 pounds he's a big boy! His fur is no longer dry and sun bleached, it's nice & silky! He continues to have some allergy/congestion issues but I've been working with my vet to stay on top of it! He's become a genuine "mommys boy!" Sidney Francis continues to remind him she's the boss, and they still act like wild kittens chasing each other and having fun! He's a joy to have and I can't imagine not having him in my life!
Today is Jackson Keefe's 6th birthday! He has been an absolute joy since I adopted him 2.5 years ago! He's very loving, playful, and gentle. He has to have surgery next week to have a tooth removed. We are a bit anxious but hoping this will stop his pain!
Today I've had my baby boy, Jackson Keefe for 3 years! I cant imagine my life without him! He's sweet, loving, playful, goofy! Everything you want in a cat! He had surgery in March to remove 4 teeth! He did great and I think it cured a lot of the issues Jaxi was having! Best of all he's not in pain! I love him sooooo much! Again, thank you for saving my boys life and giving me the opportunity to give him a good life!

THOMAS
LOVE BUG (luv bug) "cat with warm personal attachment or deep affection for his person."
If you look up LOVE BUG in the dictionary, you should see my picture beside the definition. Want someone to talk to? I'm there! Want someone to follow you around? I'm there! Need a lap cat that wants to be your constant companion? I'm there!
Check out my video and other pictures. I'm sweet and handsome, and you can't go wrong with me.
Purrs,
Thomas
