AKI
My name is Aki - which means 'autumn sky' in Japanese. Once upon a time, someone loved me enough to give me my name, but not enough to keep me. My fostermom is trying to make me feel loved and wanted after being abandoned by a family that I thought loved me so much. I'm a little sad, but my temporary family is doing everything they can to let me know that there are good, loving folks out there. I'm a sweet boy who gets along with other cats (and probably nice doggies too), and I'm fully vetted and ready to start over again.
Notes from Home
So, it has been 1 week since I came to me new house and met my new sister Sophie. We weren't supposed to be compatible, and the situation was one for a bad outcome. Yet here we are cuddled up on the couch next to each other and not hissing or fighting. We are on the path to becoming good friends and all of us are getting along together. We play together a little now, and we share the same food dish and we are spoiled rotten by our new owners. They even let us sleep with them at nite. We are forever in our new home.

SIMBLUE
I am Durango - and yes I am ready to tango!
I'm a big blue boy who is looking to be your BFF.
A condensed history of my sweet self.
Originally part of a large group of cats I came into Siamese Rescue's care when my purrson passed away. I am a bit nervous about new situations but I adjust.
I was quickly adopted into a new home with one of my former housemates but it turned out he really didn't like me and the female cat in the house wouldn't tolerate my advances toward friendship. So for the sake of peace and harmony I was returned to the care of Siamese Rescue.
So now I find myself looking to readjust to another new home. I'm doing pretty good in my temp. quarters (aka foster home) and starting to show Foster Mary my true self - which is loving and wanting plenty of affection.
I enjoy days of napping under a blanket and my evenings I want attention/affection.
I'm bigger than these pictures make me look. I do not like the camera so tend to shrink into myself. Foster Mary is working on getting a new video of me but I'm not the modeling type. She'll keep trying though - but while you are waiting please consider me. I HATE these cold NH nights cause I don't have anyone to snuggle with.

Notes from Home
New Pictures Simblue has been with us for over six weeks now and is well settled into the household. He gets along with Tawny and Greyling with hardly any dissention. Still a little adjustment to food but that is leveling out. Very much a lap cat and accepts "people" company. A real love of a cat!! Now if I can just figure out how to send pictures from my iPad. WILLOW
Outstanding feline ambassador seeking a quiet home where I can chill with your other cat(s). I'm beautiful and have excellent habits. If you're looking for a gal who won't upset the apple cart, Ask About Me today!
Notes from Home
Willa is fitting in nicely. She and Edgar chase and wrestle throughout the day (morning and evening being the best times). They also take turns attacking their two biggest "enemies" - a piece of ribbon and the dot from the laser pointer.

Food wise she's doing fine. We found a wet food she likes, so she gets that twice a day. We also have Purina Pro Plan out for her all day. She was throwing up hairballs 1-2 times a week, but that's dropped to 1-2 times a month since we switched to hairball control food. She's been perfect with using the litterbox since we got her.

All in all she's fit in quite well, and we love having her.

MIA
I bet you're all just waiting to hear my story. And Foster M would love to tell it to you but I won't stop rolling around her lap long enough for her to type it. I'm either headbutting her or rubbing on her arm or insisting she pet me. She thinks I'm trying to make sure my story doesn't get told, or perhaps I am simply trying to cat up on some lov'in cause I was neglected for so long.
Neglected? No couldn't be you say. Yup could be.
But that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger and I still adore people. The proof is in the headbutts.
There are others you know....from my clan. They aren't being fostered in NH but in a neighboring state. Well my home state. I got to come up here for fall foliage, hopefully not ski season, and oh dear please not maple syrup season.
M will post more on me later. Right now I'm catching up on eating and what not. Good food, clean litterbox, nice warm soft cozy bed (keeping it) - I'm not in CowHampsha....I'm in heaven (or so the donut guy says).
Notes from Home
MIa is a VERY sweet little lady. She is very loving and is always by Mamma's side, especially in the bathroom.... She sleeps on Mamma at night and love to snuggle, on her terms. She had become more talkative over the last year, which Mamma loves. She and her "brother" Simba get along very well and play quite a bit even at their ages; Simba is 14 and Mia is 12 or 13 although Mia acts like a kitten most of the time.

Unfortunaly, we had to put my sweet little girl down this evening. My heart is broken... she was my baby and I will miss more than I can express. She was in total kidney failure. I have to thank anyone and everyone that had ANYTHING to do with rescuing her so that I was able to love her the last years of her life. Thank you!

ABBIE
Hey there!

After being found in a feral colony, I was slow to come around, hissing and not liking people in general. I just preferred to be left alone. Now, 4 weeks later, I purr when foster mommy pets me and will even lay on her lap. I no longer run in fear or hiss. While I still have a ways to go, I would love to find a forever home that can take it really slow and let me go at my own pace. Foster mommy says no dogs or kids and says I must have a quiet home.

Foster mommy wants everyone to know that I am perfect with the box. She also says that I have bunny soft fur.

Snuggles and Purrs,

Abbie

Girls just wanna have fun.... Part 2.

Abbie thinks it's Spring already..... she is full of vim and vinegar.... romping and NASCAR zoomies and sproinnnggging the door stops, and sharpening her claws on everything. Cuddles with me but won't let me pet her. I barely touched her, and she went flying off .... dragged her little sleeping bag around the house. Like "I'm moving!!" She's adorable.

SIMON
I'm a cutie! YES I AM!

Been loved and snuggled and starting to explore the room a little although get scared of those 2 legged giants when they first come in my foster room. Foster mom can't figure out what I was doing all by myself in a very bad section of town. Rescue man saved me and got me to a nice lady who kept me until I could get into Siamese Rescue. Just take a look in my eyes and you will know all I want is my mommy! Are you her? I am doing just great here, but my very own home would be just perfect.

Got a mouse on a wire... I am yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Willie

.
Notes from Home
Well, I changed Willie/Simons name to Odie. Odie is what I wanted from the beginning but family didn't like it. After calling him everything except Simon I said thats it and his name is Odie. My husband calls him bandit at time because of his mask. He is sooo cute and funl. It has taken him some time feeling comfortable around here but is coming around really well. He is really close to me, two weeks he started climbing onto my chest when I get in my bed at night and purrs like crazy, Last night was the first night he climbed between my arm and body and fell asleep, I woke up to his purring. He still gets spooked but he knows this is home for him. He is such a blessing!

JACK
Jumping Jack Flash, I'm not, but more Jack the meek and mild :) I arrived very scared of everything but now am blossoming. I get out and explore the foster room and love to get scratches/petting from foster mom. I talk a little bit and love to play with wand toys and little fuzzy mice.
Jack.

Notes from Home
It has been two weeks since Jack joined our family. He is still very timid and startles very easily but each day I see some improvement. He plays with us regularly but also keeps one eye open at all times to make sure neither of us attack him! He is eating well and his litter box habits are great. He feels more comfortable "hidden"....the red letter day was when he came out from under the couch and went into his "cube" instead....at least we could see him! He spends most of his time there....but that is a vast improvement from where he started, as he would sleep in his litter box when he first arrived! All in all, I think he is coming to the conclusion (albeit slowly) that this is a pretty good gig!

It has now been one month since Jack joined our family. He is now very comfortable within our home, unless we have company where he immediately looks worried and hides.....my guess is that will never change. He is happiest when we play with him but entertains himself quite nicely. The big moment this week was when he jumped into my lap uninvited. He didn't stay long but it is a major step. He purrs quite often now, even when held and yet even then, he is very stiff and can't wait to get down.

It has been one year since Jack joined our family and he is doing quite well. He will always be a shy, suspicious little guy but he is very gentle and even joins me on my lap for naps now and then. He is very playful and his favorite toy is the feather wand I purchased from Siamese Rescue.

PRECIOUS
Well I'm in out of the cold. It was tough out there and I've got the missing right ear tip to prove it. How someone could abandon a sweet, lovable , playful, purrful kitty like me ; well one only wonders. I purr, play, love to be petted, and have my belly rubbed. When I went to the vet I was purring up a storm and the vet had to cup my mouth so she could hear my heart , I was just loving that body exam she gave me.

I'm much happier now that I'm in out of the cold and being taken care of and loved but I need to find someone that deserves a wonderful kitty like me furever. My standards are high because I'm worth it. I tell ya what, the right person is going to get a steal.

The Tipster
Notes from Home
Precious is a wonderful, well mannered addition to our family. Since her adoption she has helped us welcome a little girl & a little boy human to our family, as well as a doggie member. She is the most friendly cat ever!! She loves her humans & sleep at the top of meow-moms pillow every night. We love our Precious!
It is with great sadness and grief that we report our family lost our best kitty pal this January 2015. She was a true companion youngest to eldest. Her human sisters talk of her and miss her daily.

Sincerely,
Hermann Family
