TEDDY
Just arrived. More information soon, but Meowmy said I'm a cute little fella. I know my name is stupid, but I had a home once and that was what I was named. When my other mommy became homeless she had to take me to the shelter, and that's all I have of my old life, and I answer to it, so Meowmy said I could keep that for now.

I'm good with my litter box habits, love it when Meowmy loves on me, and love dinner time!! I eat up everything I'm given.

More after my isolation time is up and then I'll decide if I like the other cats here.

Teddie is a sweetheart. He gets along so well with my other siamese rescue cat Maddie and his good buddy Mau. We have 3 cats that all came from rescue at different times but are family now.

PAULINA
Hi Everyone! I'm settled in here in my foster home. The accommodations are pretty good but what I really want is a home of my own. I'm not so sure I like other cats but the jury is still out on that. I do like to cuddle. Foster Mom says I'm a reserved gal for my age. I think she means I don't act like a crazy kitten like one of my room mates does. I do have a bit of the sniffles so it will be several more days before Foster Mom can see how I am with other cats. If you think I might be the gal for you, please ask about me and Foster Mom will tell you more about me.

Love,
Paulina
Notes from Home
3/31/15: We've had Paulina in the family for 5 years now and she still brings such joy to us. She is healthy, loving and playful. We're consistently complimented on her bright blue eyes and gorgeous thick coat. We think she's siamese and blue point russian. A true beaut! We moved from DC to Boston and although she hated the 10.5 hour car ride, she loves her new home with all the natural light, big window sills to lay on and lots of birds to watch. We remain grateful to the Siamese Rescue Center for saving her and introducing us. Thank you everyone!

4/4/14: wow! Four years with Paulina has flown by. She's healthy, happy and still a joy to have in our family. After careful consideration, we decided to adopt a second cat, Harry, who joined the family two years ago. He and Paulina are great siblings! They chase each other, play together, cause tons of mischief, and are great pals. It took our princess some adjusting, but ultimately she's happier for having a partner in crime. We've been lucky to not have any health issues and are still so grateful to the rescue center for your help in saving this amazing baby girl and letting us adopt her. Cheers to you all!

3/29/11: It's been a year since we adopted Paulina which is such a short time since it feels like she's been in our family forever. She is too much fun to come home to! She has added so much value to our family. With no health issues (she had her physical last week), a healthy appetite, and a penchant for fun, we expect to celebrate many many many more anniversaries!! She loves to be groomed (a true princess), chase her toy mice, and scratch her pole (we need to buy a new one because the core is coming out!). Thank you to all of the volunteers and employees of the Rescue who take care of these beautiful cats--we owe you! Until next time... meow.

09/29/10: 6 months has passed and Paulina is an integral member of our family. We enjoy coming home to her on the weekdays and love spending time at home with her over the weekend. Our routine is great--come home, purr like crazy for 20 minutes, play, eat, play, lay, play, and off to bed! Then we get the lovely 5am to 6am wake up call "is it time to play yet!?" Just this morning, she purred for a good 10 minutes and butted her head between me and my husband to get some love. She has grown to 9 pounds, her fur is a bit darker, and her meows are louder! We love that she's vocal!! She still has her diva tendencies. If we come home and don't immediately drop everything to pet her, she shows her dissatisfacton by being naughty (climbing on the countertops--the one surface she's not allowed on). Training her has been easy. She's well behaved and reacts well to a squirt bottle with water. She eats, uses the litter box, doesn't scratch the couch and loves treats. She's been super healthy and very active. Thank you so much again for assisting us with this match. We love Paulina deeply and owe Beth, Kathy and the other volunteers a HUGe thanks!!!
Purrs & Kisses,
Rebecca, Adam & Paulina Wright

04/29/10: Just wanted to let you know how fantastic Paulina is doing. She is such a joy to come home to everyday. She's really settled in and has her favorite spots in the house including our bedroom window sill, the rug in front of the balcony door, and the top of the couch (always one cushion away from us). She loves affection but also likes her own space. She's not a huge fan of being held but she's also very patient and docile so when we pick her up she just kind of looks at us saying "you can put me down anytime..." But she can't help but smile when we give her a belly rub or a chin rub while holding her.

She sleeps in our bed at night but stays at the bottom of our feet until around 5am when she decides we should be playing with her. I don't mind be woken up by a purring and padding cat though--she starts the day off showing us lots of love! Paulina is doing fantastic and she's very grateful to you all for saving her life and placing her with a great family.

First Entry:
Paulina is doing fantastic! She is so affectionate and sweet. She's been eating, drinking, using the litter box and most important, playing! She has so much energy and love to share. She's also extremely well-behaved. She comes when we call her and hasn't scratched any of the furniture! We are so thankful to Siamese Rescue and for all of the folks involved in keeping her safe and loved. Beth, Kathy and all of the folks at Siamese Rescue were incredibly helpful and caring. These cats are lucky to fall in their hands! We just hope more and more people continue to adopt from the rescue and bring these beautiful, special creatures to their home. We are now a family of 3, and very happy.

Best,
Rebecca, Adam, and Paulina

Notes from Home
It's hard to believe this handsome, charming fellow has only been home for about two weeks. He has settled in so well. After a week of isolation, he and Aggie (VA9804) quickly became best buddies. They love to play! Each chirping and mirping at the other as they run around the room after a toy or after each other. Kristoff has added a wonderful new dimension to the house. Aggie and I are both glad he is here!

10/2/2014 Aggie (VA9804) and I both cannot believe that Kristoff has been hanging with us for six months! My how time has flown. Kris and Aggie are still best buddies. They do just about everything together...play, sleep, watch birds, ... Kris loves to jump for toy mice and has become quite the expert at pulling them out of the air. Aggie and Kristoff engage in a round of thundercats every night before bedtime. Then my two favorite Meezers settle in together at the foot of the bed. Kris is an absolute joy of a cat. He and Aggie are a wonderful pair. :)

03/29/2015 One year ago today, I made the trip to meet the Meezer Express in PA and pick up Kristoff. I'll never forget it! He's been here a whole year? And, at the same time, he's only been here a year? I can't imagine life without him. He and I have come up with more games than I would ever think possible that require only: (1) small toy mice, (2) partially opened doors, and (3) carefully placed furniture. He will play for hours! When I pick him up, he likes for his tail to be outside of my arms so that he can continue to wave it in the air as he is carried around the house. He is just a happy, happy boy. Aggie and Kris continue to be the best of friends. They are rarely separated. When he is playing a mouse game, she loves to watch his antics as much as I do. They still chase each other and play together every day. Aggie and Kris are just a delight! I'm honored to have them!

DANIELLA
Lovely talkative gal who is not as divaish as some but still would like those girl cats to stay away. I think I'd be fine with an easy going male and certainly would soak up all the attention if I was the only one. I'm not a fraidy cat and quite outgoing and friendly!
Notes from Home
Daniella and Sigmond have been going nose to nose, and doing ok. Still behind gates.

Daniella has been out to explore the house. She races all over the place, up and down the stairs, into Sigmonds litter area, behind the couches, throughs on the end of the bed until it's time to switch back.

All is going very well.

Daniella is pretty tolerant of Sigmond. She sits pretty close to him at the gate now, sometimes nose to nose. Unfortunately he likes to stick his paw in the gate and swat at her. He doesn't really know how to act with other cats. When she has had enough of his antics, she leaves him there. Crying and rattling the bars. I just laugh and tell him, as soon as you learn how to not be so overbearing, she may stay there with you. Until them, she will remain safley sequestered behind the gate, so she can get away when she has had enough.

We have some note worthy progress last night around 9. And again today around 11. We had Sigmond in the hallway playing and propped open Daniella's gate. She came out to investigate. At one point he gave chase, I freaked out a bit. I think he only wants to play, but she didn't back down. Then we redirected him back upstairs. She FOLLOWED!! She watched him play from a distance, then slipped By him back into her room. We closed the gate. Huge progress. Sarah and I high fived.

Today when I had them out playing, (well trying to make her play) and Siggy (peeking around corners trying to get a glimpse of her) , they came face to face a couple times. Daniella gives a little hiss, and shimmies under the bed. I call Siggy to me and redirect him. Then Daniella comes back out right away. They spend alot of time just crouching and peeking around corners at each other. Then when I picked her up to put her in her room she meowed. She doesn't care to be picked up very much, so Siggy hisses and swatted at my leg as if to defend her. Go figure. It's progress. We are very pleased with both of them. We made sure to give encouraging words during their time out, and gave them treats after.

Sorry everyone. I don't mean to double submit messages. I am not very computer savy.

With all progress, there are setbacks. Sigmond can't seem to pace himself with exposure to Daniella. Whenever they have some time out together he overdoses her, with himself. He follows her everywhere and can't seem to stay away. I am gonna look into some kitty highways so she can get up with confidence. We try to distract him with play, but even that he can ignore, when there is something more interesting to watch and play with. She is not so interested in playing. With him anyway. So we limit their time and are continuing to be patient.

Hi all. Had some good progress today. Kids spent about an hour out together today. Daniella is definitly more comfortable exploring without Siggy out with her, but will hang out closer to him than she used to. She is fine until he tries to sniff her. Then she draws the line. With a well placed swat. Today they played chase for a bit in a playful way, rather than in a hot pursuit. It was cute. It finally ended after about an hour when Siggy was in her room, and she got mad and hollered at him.
Then to douse her aggevation, I removed him from her space. He is a bit overbearing, and has that affect on everyone but his momma.

On another note, shower faucet drinking is contagious. "Daniella has officialy been bit by the bug."

Progress over here with our cute meezers. Daniella and Siggy spend about three hours a day on and off out with each other. It usually lasts until Daniella can't stand Siggy's over bearing nature anymore. Then we seperated them for her own peice of mind. If they are out together, its constant watching, following and interest on his part. She of course, could care less. Her interest in him last about five mins.

She does like to jump up on my sink and knock over my Q-tip container and steal one or two. It provides hours of entertainment. We love her very much. And as her stress is decresing, her fur is getting softer and softer. Just like bunny rabbit fur. She is a doll.

I think we have finally found peace. Daniella is very vocal with Sigmond. When she doesn't like his behavior, she growls and hisses at him. It was concerning me and making me intervene. Then I noticed her chasing him playfully after I intervened. I discovered that is just her way of telling him when he has crossed her bounderies. After I let them be, I noticed that she growls and warns him, he growls back and then eventually he is always the one to back down. She has asserted herself to be in charge. So proud of her.

She doesn't really enjoy being picked up, and doesn't cling like Sigmond, but is less resistant now. Definitely more independant. She isn't a lap cat. More of a kitty bed cat or window bather, and that works for Sarah. She is very busy, and obviously likes to play so not being a lap cat works for her human. At night, every night, she sleeps next to Sarah and falls asleep purring up a storm. There relationship is very compatible.

Notes from Home
After several people trying to call him various forms of cereal (apparently the new name Syrio sounds too much like cereal), his name is Bastian (from the never-ending story.) He is still very shy and waits for you to convince him you really want him before he'll come out. Once he's out, all bets are off and you aren't getting rid of him that easily. He's find a favorite you he plays with all night.

The vet said aside grin an ear infection he looks incredible.

He and Buttercup have meet through a baby gate. He ignores her and she just wants to knew what this thing mommy is touching is doing. Today is the first day they will have a chance to get face to face without barrier. I think they'll be great. She's already forgotten she was lonely without someone or something home all day.

10/29 - Wow it's been a month! Bastian is so feisty it's adorable. He's into everything, but most of all he's into getting love from mom. He's still a little skittish around other people, he has a very specific routine you need to follow when he's gone into hiding.

Bastian and Buttercup are still working on feeling each other out, but they mostly just look at each other then move on. Bastian would like to be friends, but Buttercup still hasn't figured out this new guy that doesn't stop to rest.

Bastian loves to play, but not so much with toys. Two things I've noted and need to work on, he likes to pay with your finger in his mouth and doesn't know how hard he's chomping. Definite bad habit. He also scratches carpet and beds and whatever a lot, except his scratching post. I think those are all normal, so just a matter of working with him.

I couldn't be happier with the little guy and I know he's in love with his new home.

03/29 - Time flies, 6 months? Bastian has gone through a few changes. His "sister" passed away from thyroid disease at 18. He finally knows what it's like to have all the love and attention. He is extremely vocal to make sure you don't forget he's there (as I'd you could when he's sitting on top of you!) He is still skittish with loud noses, but now he runs out and runs right back in the room Because he knows it's safe. He's such a sweetheart and always happy.

SAM
Love me, love me not and you're missing out, that's all I can say! I will follow you all around and finally found my voice, check out my video! Sweet as can be, I'm not phased by much of anything, other cats, people, all is good with me, as long as I can have a lap to call my own!
Notes from Home
It's been 6 months since we brought Sam home from SCRC. At that time he was recovering from which had been stitched and stapled. Shortly after his arrival the wound re-opened so it was off to the vet for an early visit, at which time he was restapled and fitted with a soft cone and a protective shirt. He was a great patient, taking it all in stride, and has recovered nicely. He is so comfortable in our house that it seems like he's been here forever. He gets along fine with his buddy, Joey Pontoon(SCRC-VA 9257) whom we adopted in June 2013. They have very different personalities but complement each other very well. Joey needs to be reminded to eat, while Sam needs to be reminded to stop eating. We need to watch Sam's appetite as he has gained considerable weight since his arrival. Sam and Joey both love sitting on our screened porch monitoring the activities of chipmunks, squirrels, and birds. The boys are great travelers and enjoyed a vacation together in Ocean City and will go to the Poconos this winter. Having these 2 geezers has been an absolute pleasure as their interactions often remind us of Matthau and Lemmon in Grumpy Old Men and The Odd Couple. We want to thank everybody at SCRC for giving us the opportunity. Pictures are forthcoming.
Greetings. Hard to believe that it's already Sam's 1-year anniversary! He just enjoyed a winter vacation in the Poconos with us and his buddy Joey Pontoon. His deafness has certainly not hindered his ability to vocally communicate with us, particularly when he's hungry. He is a real lover and we're happy to have him in our lives, and he has been a great companion to Joey, despite their different personalities.

YETI
My name is Charffin and do I have a story to tell you. My former owner turned me into the shelter for missing the pan - well, he moved my box and I was confused and that is what happened! No second chances for me, off to jail on my first offense! But the nice people at the shelter saw that I was using the box just fine and called Siamese Rescue and here I am - I did get a second chance after all! I am in my own room with a sunny window and birds to watch as they feed and all the food, water and loving I want from foster mom. She says to tell you that I have used my box faithfully since I have been at her house (she keeps it nice and clean and I like that!) I have another secret - I am a Flamepoint with white socks and a white tip on my tail - Foster Mom and Auntie Cheryl have never seen that before, so I am Very Special and I hope that I will soon be with the kind of family who knows the meaning of forever because I don't want to have to lose my family again so pls come get me very soon - I really like it here but want my forever family in time for the HOLIDAYS! Thanks for listening and considering me - I won't let you down - I promise, Love Chaffin. Congrats Sherry in VA!

Yeti was diagnosed with Lymphoma in February after multiple trips to the vet. He passed over the rainbow bridge tonight. It was an extremely hard decision for me to make. I adopted him 13 years ago and I am totally devastated by his loss. I don't think there ever was a nicer cat in the world. May he rest in peace.

MOLLY
Howdy! Let me express my opinion on one thing before we go any further! I DO NOT like to travel & I get very upset when I even think of traveling far. So...hopefully there's a forever family within a short driving distance from my foster mom's house in Virginia.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest...SWEEEEEET...that's me! I love any attention I'm given, purr within a second of you even lookig at me & I love to play with the wand toy.

Are you looking for a sweetie pie? That's how my foster meowm describes me! If so, you may want to consider me, but I sure hope you live close by!

Purrs,
Ziva
Notes from Home
Molly is a joy and she seems very happy in her new home. She and our rescue tabby Mia are now good friends and chase each other all over the house! We just love her. Thanks Siamese Rescue!

We love Molly. She is quite the jumper, squeaks instead of meows, loves playing in water and drinking out of faucets, retrieves better than any canine, and keeps us in stitches. She has become a truly gorgeous cat. She even walks elegantly, like she knows how prissy and pretty she is! We truly feel it was meant to be that she joined our family. She is the joy of our lives. She and my husband have a game they play everything. As soon as she hears him come home, she hides behind the door in the TV room and she jumps out to scare him. She jumps about four feet in the air. I wish I could catch it on video. It would win a prize!

RALLO
Well I lost my leg but that doesn't stop me - I 'm great in the box, use my scratching post, and love to play. I'm not super at stairs so I'd appreciate a box on every floor; and I'm a little overenthusiastic in my need for attention so I do a bit of inappropriate chewing (on your hands, not on other things) because I missed my early kittenhood training. I'm okay with other female cats if they'll play with me, but I adore people and follow you around, talk to you, and stare longingly at you. You don't have to worry about your fragile items because I'm not a climber or a jumper, but you do need a sisal scratching post please!

So, yes, he's still a mischievious romeo. He dodges anyone who tries to pet him and goes into play mode. Contrary to that attitude, he's a huge lap cat and always sleeps with me. In this past year he has developed a fascination for all the toilets, something to do with a bubbling noise. He's 12 pounds now, very healthy, and gets checkups every 6 month from the home vet. Still a highly active, loving boy.

MISTER MOJO RISIN'
Me, Tuna, sitting still which hardly ever happens! I am busy, busy and more busy....
Notes from Home
Just wanted to let everyone know how GREAT Mojo ( Tuna ) is handling his new adventure. he really is a ballsy cat and has no fear. he and my Flamepoint Harley are getting along very well, they have wrestled, stalked, shared meals and cleaned each other already we have only had him since Sunday night! He decided to introduce himself earlier than I wanted to Mr Harley and it seemed to go ok. he was a bit standoffish at first but I think he realized Harley was not going to hurt him just wanted to play and they were off and running around. He is awesome with his litter box and I have already started having him use the main litter boxes so he is familiar with their placement when his" trainer box " is gone. He is quite the little piggy and loves steamed shredded chicken breast too. He is already starting to come when we motion to him ( most times though his kitty attention span wins but he does make the effort to come) and he is very spoiled and now sleeps in bed with my daughter Kylie or is being carried around like a little prince. I think he ihas finally relaxed with being held now as well. Thank you again to everyone who has helped get him to us. We are very happy with our new addition

11/20/2014
I had this very cold day off and just looked over to see Mojo all snuggled up with Harley in one of the cat beds. They rarely sleep apart when they are not sleeping with one of my kids or on us in the living room. We couldn't have had a better fit for our family. He blends right in with all the action and loudness. He is quite the piglet and always begging for food. His favorite is steamed chicken breast, but he would probably try anything if I let him! He sits up and begs like a dog for his food or treats. I have posted a picture from earlier today. He really is a funny character!

03/09/2015
Hello all! Mojo here, just checking in to let you all know I am really loving my fur-ever home. My mom is so happy because I like her better than anyone else in the house! All the animals always like our daddy better but for some reason I love my mom best of all! After all she is the one who cleans my brother Harley and my litter boxes ever day and makes sure we have really good food to eat and is always buying us new toys. I even have my own special scratcher thingie she bought me because I like to scratch on a certain kind of surface only.
I can't get enough food! I must be going to be a really big kitty because I am almost as big as my 2 yr old brother already! Anytime anyone is buy the stove I come running and sit and beg like a dog for snacks. My favorite is cheese and chicken. I hate anything seafood and try to bury my food in the vinyl floor when I don't like it.
I love playing with my spider toy and my brother and getting brushed by my mom when we get really running around we sound like ten cats instead of two. Wrestling is my favorite and I like to jump down on my brother's back when he isn't paying attention.
I don't like to be picked up much, especially if I already am playing or have something that has my attention. I do like to come and snuggle though, on my terms, but then again what did you expect? I am a cat after all!
My mom helped me post some new pictures. Thank again Siamese Rescue for helping me and my family find each other.

My mom just had to post some if my modeling pictures....she says I should be the next " Grumpy Cat ". Personally I think I am more handsome than grumpy looking and much more entertaining. I have a new toy I really like now, my Ralphie the Rat. I hide it from my brother and my humans because it's mine mine mine. I do like to fetch and bring it back to my dad over and over though.
