Notes from Home
Eponine is still a little darling, the sweetest little girl. She gets along better with 14 yr George now since I got Manny, a 1yr flame. They play all day, so she doesn't try to chase George and he is very happy about that. He likes to watch them and sort of supervises play time. Manny respects George, no hissing, George seems happy to have company. Eponine is a love bug. She rubs her boys noses and makes them smile.

WILEY
Ohhh.....What a love I am! Yes, I am a wee bit large, but oh so loving! That is just more for you to love....

Purrs,

Wiley =^..^=

Notes from Home
Wow, what a lovable cat! Wiley has been right at home since arriving, and he loves to give me little headbutts in the morning. He has grown a little - and the vet told me that he has a few fleas - but I am going to get medication to nip that in the bud. He's playful, and loves to chase little toys on strings! He eats regularly, sometimes getting into the kitten food, but healthy and happy. I love having him!

Wiley is still a very laid back cat, two years later! I have had some trouble with him biting - but more like affectionately - but still biting. He's a big kitty, so his love bites tend to draw blood! He also seems to be stubborn with getting what he wants when he wants it - often at the expense of my carpet. To solve this I have used nail caps, and this has at least lessened the damage he causes. I would very much like to train him out of these behaviors, so if there are any suggestions, I'm all ears! He's become overweight, but we're working on that! Overall I love having Wiley!

CODY
Hi, I'm Cody & I too was left in a big green box for whatever reason. My foster mom is taking good care of me & reassuring me that I'm safe. When she holds me, I settle into her arms & purr away.

I'm looking forward to finding my forever home & knowing that there are no more big green boxes in my life.

Are you looking for a meezer to cuddle right into your arms & purr away? Well, here I am!!

Big loud purrs,
Cody

P.S. - I'm going to be dog tested this weekend! (10/3/14)

Update!!! Cody here...I saw the kitty vet this week & was pronounced healthy & had my little surgery. I'm doing much better now & hope to chat with my potential family soon!

I have loved the past month with Cody! I have recently started calling him Chester - I think it's very fitting of his appearance and personality. He's a wonderful little lap cat with tons of energy, and he greets me every time I come in. He has been healthy, eating regularly, and gets along very well with Wiley. A fantastic cat!

This is now two years with Chester (nee Cody), and he is the best little cat. He's still very loving and energetic. He will come sleep on my lap if I am sitting for more than five minutes! Love the little guy!

MAGGIE MEW
Lovely talkative cat. Not having any trouble getting around on my three legs now that my one bum leg has been removed. Friendly and easy going, but not so keen on the other cats, I was found at a barn with kittens and now am more than happy to consider a home environment. My perfect home would be as the only feline in a come and go as you wish, low maintenance (for me) home, I just go with the flow, am not too demanding, and appreciate whatever time you have to share. Someone working all day would be just fine, I'm not highly active, but great company when you get home. I would LOVE to have my own girl (human) whose lap I could just sit on for hours on end and be adored!

Notes from Home
Hello! Maggie has been in our home for about a month and a half now (we kept her name, it suits her!). She settled in pretty quickly, and seems to be very comfortable here. She is very affectionate and is starting to be more playful. She always darts into the kitchen when she hears her food dish being replenished, and she curls up behind our heads in bed every night. We love her very much. We are so grateful for this amazing rescue. Thank you for everything!

TIMONE
Hey, what am I still doing here? I'm a fabulous cat - I'm a champagne Tonkinese, the real deal. I love people - I lap sit, I sleep in bed with you. I play fetch! I will carry on a conversation with you. I like other kitties, and will even curl up with them if they let me. I use the litter box without fail. I eat whatever you give me (if it comes out of a can) and make sure that you don't forget to feed me. I am a horizontal scratcher, and will go to town on cardboard scratchers on the floor. So why *am* I here? Well, I do have a head tilt. Numerous tests and bloodwork have not revealed the cause. The vet suspects that I had a chronic inner ear infection (all treated!) and that the head tilt is permanent. But it doesn't affect my quality of life nor love at all. The only problem I have is that if I get too rambunctious in playing I can sort of fall over, and sometimes jumping up high is easier than jumping down, but that's not such a big deal, is it? My basic senior bloodwork was excellent though and that's a grand thing. If you don't mind a bit of an unknown with my head tilt, then ask about me and foster mom will tell you what a fabulous guy I am! Oh, and I do not like the vacuum cleaner. I am not scared of it, I swat it.

Look deep, deep into my aqua eyes - now how can you pass me by and say you don't want me?

Notes from Home
Timone continued to have severe nasal congestion. After consulting 2 different veterinary clinics and various courses of antibiotics the vet felt he had very little quality of life. He crossed over October 26th and was cremated. His ashes along with those of all of my other deceased cats will be buried with me.

KAYA MARINA
One of over 30 cats seized from a hoarder situation, I'm finally learning to trust humans once again. Do you have gentle hands, a soft voice and the patience needed to earn my trust ? And I will probably need a home with at least one other feline companion.

I should be ready to go home about Dec 6 which means you could have me gracing your home for the holidays !

Notes from Home
T'Kaya's new name is Marina. She is doing wonderful. She sleeps in her millie bed most of the day. When I go to bed she jumps up for petting and attention. She spends a lot of time with Blue, another Siamese, they get along great together. She went to the vet recently for vaccines and she didnt like that one bit. Once home she was fine. she has a very soft little cry and when she enters the room and if you listen carefully , you will hear her. she also loves playing with little mice and she talks to them a lot. she has been a great addtion to our home.

Marina went to the vet recently for a check up and nail trim. Her vaccines are due this month, I will take her again after Christmas. She is hard to catch! She loves Blue and they spend a lot of time together. They sleep together in the same bed. She visits me every night for some one on one time.

Marina is doing great. She and Blue are still very close. She jumps on the bed every night for her one on one time with me, talking the whole time. She is in need a dental and will be having that done soon. She sleeps in my sons room a lot, but he has only been able to pet her once! I told him he needs to be a little older and slower and she will come to him. Right now, she just likes to watch.

If she is in the room and you don't want to disturb her, you have to pretend she is not there. If you look at her or talk to her --she is out of there! My son has been trying this to get closer to her! He is 7 now and its fun to watch.
If she needs to go to the vet, don't let her see the cat carrier! Leaving the carriers out doesn't help. She is so smart. She always knows when to hide.I think she can tell the morning of because I have to plan on closing her one room in order to catch her. She knows! I am able to hold her at the vets--not like at home!

Marina's dental is scheduled and she had to visit the vet for some bloodwork and another nail trim. They found ear infections in both ears! I was shocked because she never scratches her ears. She also had very full anal glands and as it turns out needs to have them expressed every few months. Just like a dog! Its rare for cats to have anal gland problems, but she is my second! When she got home, she was very happy. She has been even closer to me. I think she feels better.

The cats got a water fountain because of Mystic's bladder problems. She did not know what to do with it at first. She batted at it as she walked by! I didnt think she would ever drink from it. But, Blue showed her how and she is now drinking from it just like the boys.

Marina's dental went well, but she did have to have 11 teeth removed! She will need more dentals and probably lose the rest of her teeth due to dental disease. She came home and went right for the food, both canned and dry. She did great! she eats just fine, so It really has not affected her that much. She actually has been more friendly since her dental and after having her anal glands done. I think she feels much better!

She is doing well. Still doesnt let me pick her up! but, she comes to me on her terms.
Marina has a thyroid condition that we've been treating her for. She has lost some weight but I am monitoring her daily.

Marina became very ill and lost a lot of weight at once. She had chronic diarrhea that the veterinarians have been trying to address. Unfortunately, we said to put her to sleep. I didn't want her to suffer anymore. She was happy with us.

LEXIE
I just landed here with my foster meowm & after I took a few days to brush myself off from the change, I'm starting to feel safe & loved! I'm a sweet girl that does not like to kiss on the first date, but after a little getting to know you time, I enjoy laying beside you while we sleep.

I have very good manners & do well with my litter box habits. I do not want an active home, as I enjoy my peace & quiet time.

So...tell my foster meowm a little about you & she will see if our paths will connect.

Lexi

SNICKERS
Ok, I look the most scared but my brother is more scared and huddles with me for moral support. Don't laugh - I have sort of big ears and foster mom said in one photo she thought I looked like a bunny. Geez - I'm just trying to pretend that you don't see me but those toys were enticing. Sweet natured with lots of potential but need lots of TLC and patience to help us blossom. We are a team.

Notes from Home
I'm working on uploading the latest picture of Cadbury (Jojo) and Snickers (Turbo) with our big marmalade cat, Giblet - they all love the new cat tree in the living room.

Snickers thinks he's one of the dogs and Cadbury is very adventurous - he's always the first, the highest up, the most eager to explore. Both find it very amusing to accompany visitors and family alike to the restroom!

Happy Holidays!

Spring 2016 - Both kitties are doing well and fully integrated into the family - Snickers (the fuzzy one) thinks he is a dog and happily piles onto the couch of an evening, even if the dogs are already there. Cadbury is very lovey, but still doesn't like to be picked up (it's like holding a brick) - both kitties accompany us everywhere throughout the day - great companions!

November 2016 - Hard to believe it's only been a year - these two kitties are happily a core part of this family! Snickers (the fuzzy one) must have some "ragdoll" in him - he's very sweet and floppy (and yes, he still looks like a bunny) - he thinks the water bubbling through the fish filter is his own personal water fountain. Cadbury is one of those cats that flops down in front of you while you're walking - makes for some interesting dances. Both love toys and getting combed, and they get along well with the dogs and our other cats. Still a bit shy with strangers, but they are super-friendly with family members that they know. Cadbury has become a handsome sealpoint and even likes to be held now (but he weighs in at 13 pounds - the vet says he's not too fat, so I guess he's just a SOLID dude). I will add a couple of pictures here as well. Thanks again to all the volunteers at Siamese Rescue!

CADBURY
I am a shy/scared young man right now and rely on my brother for lots of moral support. Lots of potential but need a human who can spend time helping us to learn to trust and relax. It will take a little time but have a big payoff.

Notes from Home
JoJo (whose name is likely going to be Cadbury, but don't change the records yet!) is a sweet, very adventurous boy who loves to be petted. He and his brother visited our local vet on Thursday for their "well baby" visit and she thought they were glorious! No problems except a slight leftover yeast infection in their ears (remnants of the cleared-up mites problem). Cadbury is definitely more outgoing than his brother - having already cleared the top shelves of their contents. They have met their older "brother" - a 17-pound, deaf marmalade cat named Giblet - and that is going better than I anticipated. So, our update is that we love them lots already and everything is going well. I'll add pictures soon! (all the ones so far have red eyes). Best -- Beth

Just arrived. More information soon.

Just clipped Cody's looooong claws! Haha! Surprised he never accidentally scratched anyone with them yet! My almost 6 year old carries him around - he is very good with the kids. Usually sleeps with the 8 year old in her bed. Loves daddy too. He is totally at home here! 😃 Occasional puking, but I think it is related to getting different canned cat food. We have better stuff coming in the mail today. Giving him a good crunchy food as well. He mews for canned every morning. Very smart kitty!

11/8/16 Coders is part of the family! Loves his kitty cans, running out into the garage to explore, snuggling, and still puts up with the 5 year old chasing him around holding and hugging him. Never bites or scratches. Very sweet! So thankful we have him so daddy isn't the only male around here! Haha
