TEDDY ROOSEVELT
I am just like my name - a big cuddly teddy bear with a distinguished air. I love attention, especially cuddling and sleeping with my humans. I also love other animals - dogs and cats! I am polite with the litter box, am friendly and laid back with new people, and even like being picked up and carried around! Sometimes I play with toy mice, but my favorite is cuddling. All I want is my own family to love!

Hello! I cant believe it has been a year already since we adopted our sweet/crazy man Teddy! He is doing great. We moved into a new house, and he is so excited to have all the extra room to run around and play. He is such a big part of our family and we are so happy to have rescued him!

ZOE
My name is Greenleigh. I was named for the place I was found - but mom calls me 'LeeLee' for short. I was trapped at around 7 weeks old, so I'm a little timid of people until I get to know them. Right now I like playing with my kitty friends instead of mom, but when she does get her paws on me, I LOVE the attention. I purr and roll and meow and headbutt her - I love to be loved. Sometimes I tend to forget how much I love mom in between visits, and we have to start all over again. My roommates are very friendly with people, so I'm learning that people are ok.

UPDATE: My adoption fell through on July 15th (thru no fault of my own), so I'm available again! I've made incredible strides here in Fosterville, and am getting along with the other kittens and am not so scared of my people anymore. As a matter of fact, I talk to mom nonstop in the morning and follow her around. I'd prefer to not have to travel too far to my home. I'm scared and vocal in the carrier and the shorter distance to my new home, the better!

Notes from Home
Our little princess just gets cuter every day. She is finally feeling fit after a battle with tummy troubles. Poor Daddy was the bad guy for meds, so she's definitely Mommy's girl right now. She loves her toys -especially a little canvas fish she carries eveywhere!

9/21/16
We've just passed the one month mark. Zoe still has to have her special prescription food but scarfs it up at mealtimes. She is growing like weed - 5 pounds last check. She has the run of the house now, plays hard then just collapses in a heap ......

11/29/16
Zoe's little brother Mango joined our family in October. She wasn't sure she wanted a brother at first but has decided he can stay. They act like real siblings, arguing one minute and perfectly happy with each other the next. Zoe wishes he had a little less energy, however. One thing that is non-negotiable is Mommy's lap -that is definitely hers!!!

MANGO
I'm a healthy, playful fella who's looking for a forever home with another cat or kitten to play with. I love to wrestle with them so hopefully your cat will accept my advances.

I'm a bit shy around strangers, but I'm getting braver each day. Meowmy says I can go home around the middle of October.

Do I sound like the guy of your dreams? If so, ask about me and maybe your dreams will come true!

Purs,

Mango

Mango is settling in nicely with his new family. He and big sister Zoe have decided they can coexist. He does try her patience a bit as he is so full of energy. Mango is definitely his Daddy's boy, cuddling up with him in the recliner in the evenings.

JERRY
Hi!

I'm Jerry. When I first got here I was so scared and depressed that I wouldn't eat and Meowmy had to syringe food into my mouth. She petted me and loved on me and helped me be brave and now she says I'm a total love bug. I head butt her and rub all over her.

I'm thinking I'd like to be friends with the other cats here, but they others hiss and growl at me when I try to say hello, so I just sit on Meowmys lap and hang out. I also like little dogs. I used to live with a Pug and and MinPin.

If I sound like I'd fit into your family, please ask about me so I can go to a place where the other cats like me.

Purrs,
Jerry

Jerry has settled in wonderfully. It took him a few months to adjust to his new home but all of his bad behaviors from his previous life are all gone. He is till very skittish but we make him comfortable and I think he really loves it here. He has become much more vocal which is great, his coat has filled out and become super healthy, and he loves our other cat (they are inseparable. They play and sleep together all the time).

MADALENA
I came from a hoarder home where none of us got much attention - there were 50 of us. I'm not scared of people, but I haven't yet figured out that people can be good things. I love other cats - every sex, every shape, every color. I am very playful, and really love to romp and play with toys. I am neat in my litter box. I love sitting in the sun in a cat tree. I love my food, especially the canned kind with chunks and gravy (oh, how I love the Fancy Feast gravy lovers but I also eat the good kinds too, like Blue Buffalo flaked chicken in sauce). I do not scratch inappropriately. I talk to foster mom, and do not run away from her. However I do prefer that she only pets me a little, and only when I am in the cat tree. Why? Because, that's why! I do talk to her, especially if she is late with breakfast.

I am very happy here, and slowly getting more social. Do you have a cat that needs a friend? Then maybe I am the friend he or she needs, as I love everyone and I am sure I would like your lonely kitty too. Ask about me - take a chance! I am not one of those needy kitties that has to be draped on you every waking moment, I do not get jealous if you pet your other kitties instead of me. I will play with all those toys that your picky cats have scorned. I am a very pretty and petite darker seal point, but love to tease foster mom into thinking she can get a nice picture of me and then I move.

So - take a chance, and ask about me! Who knows, I might be just what you and your other cat or cats are looking for.

No pictures yet, but Madalena has taken over. Who would have thought that she would be such a diva? She is extremely active and now knows the house from top to bottom. She approaches me of her own free will, but still won't let me touch her. That's fine with me; what's important is that she is interacting with Jeremiah, as I had hoped she would. I love that she is very vocal, especially because Jeremiah essentially has no voice (chirps and squeaks). I am hoping that by February they will be so used to each other that I can bring in another...

SMOKEY
I'm ready to entertain inquiries. I'm a very nice guy, very well behaved, and have good habits. I'm very people oriented (movie clip momentarily) and purr like a motorboat. With other cats? Well, as is typical with many Siamese, I prefer people to cats. I could coexist with a cat, but not sure I'm going to be their buddy, at least not for awhile, so pls don't adopt me if you want a buddy for your cat - you should then choose a cat-cat. But if you want a buddy for you? Well, then, let's talk!

Notes from Home
Hey... just checking in. Wanted to let you know to tell the others who are still hesitant that laps are good. Laps are nice. I found out today that by agreeing to sit on a lap, the scritching didn't have to stop. It was so nice, had to give kisses, and I may have dozed off. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to spend a lot of time on laps, but I have to say, I'm starting to find myself on laps a little more as time goes by.

I'm also starting to talk a little more. Not too much, just a "Good morning" chirp and a "Time to stop working" chirp. But I'm mostly still purring.

...>^..^<...

11/24/16 - I know, I know... haven't been emailing as much as I should. What can I say, I'm a typical boy!

I now realize why the previous 3 families kept returning me... I was meant to be with my current family. They didn't shy away when told I had eye-herpes, they just found homeopathic "gravy" they add to my food that keeps it in check. However, runny eyes = runny nose. Fortunately, they also have human sinus issues, so they always have tissues ready to wipe my face when the sneezes attack. I used to hide when sneezing, but realize they know what they're doing, so I come search them out in the house when I feel a sneeze coming on.

They were also told that I had litter box "issues". I've been so good, they have no idea what the previous issues could've been. We do have a game where I have to claim my box immediately after it's been scooped. They even when thru a bunch of different litters until they found the one that not only works, but also feels OK on my declawed toes. I do enjoy doing a quick speed-bag boxing exercise on the Litter Locker that's just conveniently next to the litter box to knock any litter out of my paws so I don't drop it all around the house.

I have had some medical issues, and they aren't phased at all! I now have to take pills for my thyroid, heart & liver which as turned into a game. Granted, I'm not amused when my food dish covers itself up at 5:30 AM to get ready for the first pill (on empty stomach!!) at 6:30 AM - but I'm feeling better so I understand. And if they're running late, or trying to sleep in, I go get them to remind them that it's pill time. I so enjoy getting called a "rockstar" and all the cuddling rewards when I swallow the pills on the 1st attempt!

Right now, my belly's a little chilly b/c the doctor wanted to get a better look at my liver. Did NOT like having my belly shaved, or that weird wand thingy they used to rub against the bare skin. I was one seriously squirming kitty, and he was concerned to check my heart - then realized it was all an act... my heart rate wasn't elevated at all for all of my antics. But the end result was that my liver isn't enlarged, so that's good. Now I just need to grow the fur back!

I don't know if any other family would've been so understanding with all my health issues, not matter what all else I throw at them. Which is why I now understand why it took 4 attempts to get me to the right family!

Notes from Home
Here are some photos of Abigail and her best friend Tootsie Roll - VA11722. They have made a fabulous adjustment and are as affectionate and friendly as our Foster Michelle said. They like to tussle after breakfast but then go their own ways or snuggle together. They have added so much to our lives.

They go to the vet for their first check up this coming week.

Attached some photos.

I uploaded a couple of photos of Abigail and Tootsie on November 21st but didn't enter the text correctly. The first photo is of Abigail and Tootsie for their first vet visit. They were amazingly comfortable. The vet said they both got gold stars because they were so good.

The other photo is of my twin granddaughters. Fenna is on the left with Abigail and Jackie is on the right with Tootsie Roll. The girls get such a bit kick out of them. These kitties are so social and friendly. Whenever we have guests, they come running out to see who is there and they visit with us. We are having such a good time with these kitties. Thank you all for all of your help.

MAISY
Hi, everyone! I'm feeling sooo much better, and I'm ready for you to ask about me! I'm a sweet and petite lynxie girl with cute white paws. I had my vet exam yesterday and I did great! Vet thinks I'm about 2 years old. I love to purr and be petted, and I like to sit on foster mom's lap. I'm doing fine with other cats, and I don't even mind the dog either. Ask foster mom about me and we'll write back!

Maisy is now 6 years old and doing well. She saw her vet (a new one) 2 weeks ago and is up to date on all of her shots. Health is excellent. Sleeps most of the day and wants to play every night around 7 pm when I finally sit down in front of the tv.

New vet is Elk Creek Veterinary Services in Oxford, PA. Justine Yesilonis DVM.

Will send a picture when daughter Christine is here to help me. I'm not very tech savy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

SARA
Hi, I'm Sara..

I'm here at Meowmy's with my sister and two brothers. We came all the way from Maryland where
we were confiscated from a horrid hoarder situation. We spent weeks in the shelter with our mom growing big enough to come into rescue. We did get a shelter cold, but we're on the mend. We're tiny little babies so it will probably be mid to the end of November before we can go to our furrever homes.

10/05/15

Yah! We made it into the foster room and we are having a blast with more room to play. Our ringworm cultures were negative, we are over our shelter colds, we are eating like little piggies and growing big and strong. Meowmy says we are all little purr buckets and love to be cuddled.
She's going to start looking for the perfect home for each of us. It will still be a while before we are big enough to have our vetting done and make the journey to our new families.

Sara

11/21/2016: It has been exactly 1 year since Phoebe came into our home (and our hearts!) She is just a wonderful kitty....very playful, sweet, and always by my side. She's full grown now that she's 15 months, but is still small at just 6 pounds. Such a huge personality in such a small package!
