Need a pair of adorable love bugs? Then PICK US !

We are both beautiful and well adjusted kitties who are looking for someone to share our love with. Could that be you?

We lost our home because our mommy got sick. Our world turned upside down and it took us a week here to show our true personalities.

We're curious, playful and loving girls. And we're best buds and really like to be together all the time, whether we're exploring or napping.

We promise to sit still soon for pictures, you can see we like this petting stuff !

Sallie and Suzie are doing great.

We’ve chosen to let them keep their names due to their mature ages.

Their first year with us has been pretty uneventful, except for the two weeks when they were boarded at the veterinarian’s kennel service during our vacation last September. According to the kennel workers, they were upset for only a few hours, but as they were together in one cage, they were fine and eating well.

They’ve had no health issues apart from Suzie’s occasional sniffles. And they once needed ear drops to clear up an inflammation, which quickly went away. Their appetites are quite robust, and they’re always looking forward to their mealtimes (7:30 AM and 5:00 PM).

Suzie is a bit of a diva, while Sallie is very laid-back, but they’re very, very close. They’re always together. We’ve never seen them apart like in different rooms. They love to sit on our laps and cuddle with us under the blanket in bed. They love to sit on top of their kitty condo and look out the window facing the main street. They’re such birdwatchers! When they see a bird, they go crazy and meow loudly. They love to play with their toy-filled kitty board with holes. And they’ve become attached to a Beanie Baby lately and drag it everywhere.

We love them so much, and we’re extremely grateful to have found them. Thank you for approving our adoption application and letting us adopt Sallie and Suzie.

Sallie and Suzie are doing great! No significant health issues. But they kept getting sniffles, drippy eyes and puking so I put them on a high-quality grain-free diet and the symptoms disappeared for good. They love to hang out with us...sleep in bed with us, watch TV together, etc. Their fur feel fantastic, their eyes are bright, and they are just plain adorable! I've posted new photos in Sallie's page! Merry Christmas!

My moms have been sad for the last little bit because Sappho got real sick and died. I'm feeling a little down, too. Sappho was always good to me--let me nestle with her at night and eat from her plate. She was a wise old meezer who taught me lots about this house when I moved here. Not a nasty bone in her body, that one! Oh, yes, she got kinda cranky at the end, but not so much that it bothered any of us. We miss her calm presence and her affectionate cuddles.

Moms say that no cat will ever replace Sappho cuz she has a special place in all our hearts. But they did tell me that they're looking for another meezer to bring home from SR. I think it'll be nice to have another buddy. Of course Izzie (my little "sister") is still around and so are the members of the canine species, but they got their own things going on. I'm hoping for somebody to mentor. You know what I mean--some new guy I can hang out with, somebody to show the ropes to, somebody to share a bed (and maybe a little food, eh?), somebody to join me in chasing the dogs, hahaha!

(Oops, mom says I "helped" her by deleting the update before this one. It was highlighted on that computer thingy when I jumped up to get some ear scratches. Hey, what can I say! I've got better things to do all day than learn these computers.)

12/13/10: Wow, it's been 2 years already since I came to my furever home?!? No way! Time flies when you're having fun, I guess. Life is pretty good. I get two square meals a day, a warm spot by any window in the house I want, lots of cuddles from my moms, and daily playtime. The only thing to gripe about is my new sibling, Schatzi. He and I still haven't settled into an amicable routine, but you can't blame me for wanting to protect my turf. After all, it took me awhile to get my family set up--I don't want him thinking he can come in and just take their attention away from me! Right now, we have a truce going (actually the moms have separated us, but I like to think I'm in control of the situation and can handle it myself). I think the new guy needs to settle in a bit longer before we attempt this buddy-buddy thing. Anyway, 2 years of being treated like a prince--and my moms assure me the treatment won't stop! Who could complain about that?!

12/16/12--Wow, four year anniversary already! Bodhi is such a great guy...and quite the momma's boy! (See photo of him lounging on my lap.) I've been smitten with him from Day One, and it just increases day in and day out.

12/23/13--Hard to believe we've had Bodhi for 5 years already. He is still a momma's boy--big time. He cannot abide a closed door between us! We moved to a new house this past October. Our previous home was a two-story Cape Cod and this new one is a large rambler. Bodhi seems to be getting more exercise now. He loves to run the full length of the house at top speed, sliding across the wood floor in the family room when he reaches the end, doing a u-turn mid slide and then jumping onto the cat tree. Health-wise he's doing fantastic. We just have to keep an eye on his teeth and gums.

11/2/16: Bodhi will be 10 years old next month (or at least that's the best estimate). Next month is also his adoption anniversary--8 years. He was the first cat we adopted from SCRC and I am still thrilled everyday to have him in my life. Bodhi is gracefully accepting middle age. He's in excellent health (except for those gums which we have to monitor) and still has tons of energy. He races around, from top of the cat tree to the floor, up the stairs, and down again. He also loves to play with the feather wand and his catnip toys. Then, when he's worn out, it's time for a long nap! He is still like velcro with me--won't let me out of his sight.

12/13/16: Eight year anniversary today! Bodhi is still as sweet as ever. He's getting used to his new sister, Maisie. He's taking her presence in stride, though it brings out the Velcro behavior in him. It really is amazing how he relaxed into my arms he'll become. Like butter melting. Which in turn makes my heart melt more for him. He is the sweetest boy. Ever.

Percy has definately changed over this past year. From a shy timid kitten to a Lion with a big heart. He is in charge of the household. Percy lets my children do anything to him. He is a big snuggler and talker. He thinks he is human and breaks in and out of rooms like a bandit using his skill of turning door knobs. Sometimes he's a bully to Mariposa, his favorite playmate.....but she usually sets him straight when she has had enough. Overall sweetie.

MOJO
I'm an outgoing Siamese guy who (as opposed to some) is quite smart. I love to play, interact, and talk, but I'm not overwhelmingly needy, I can do my own thing as well. I'd be great in a family home with older kids, I'm fine with dogs, could tolerate another cat but honestly would prefer to be the only one. I have a gimpy ear which gives me great character but has no long term implications. I'm not only great in the morning, but all day long! Come on, try me out with your breakfast!

Notes from Home
Not even 24 hours with me and he's already running the place. It's as if he's always been here. He has almost completely adjusted to his new home. He is such a jewel, I can't believe no one snapped him up before I did. He may not look like a GQ cover model but he is perfect. Great conversationalist, he follows me everywhere.

12/16/2011
Well we are almost a week together and things are still going well. He purrs constantly. Not following me around quite as much. I think he realizes I'm not going to disappear. He's really great about listening. No backtalk when I tell him no. Not that I have had to do that very often. He must have been a food critic in another life. I've tried several kinds of canned food with him and he's tried to bury 3 different ones. He seems to be a dry food guy. He really preferred the freshly cooked salmon I had for dinner the other night. I bought him a crinkly ball and he loves playing with that. He goes batting it around the dining room and the hallway into the kitchen which sends the runner I have there flying across the floor. He thinks it's great fun to ride on the runner when I'm straightening it back up too. He is very adjusted to life with me and he seems to be very happy. He is an absolute joy to have around.

12/26/2011

Christmas was perfect with Mojo around. We spent Christmas Eve finishing presents. He was happy because that meant I was on the couch most of the day. He has discovered a new game though - let's shred the toilet paper. I'm glad I keep all the bathroom doors closed or I would be out of TP by now! He is the most wonderful guy and I told him Christmas day he was the best present I could have possibly had. My birthday was 12/21 and I got a few birthday gifts - many were cat toys. He's truly enjoying them. He had his meet and greet with the vet on the 23rd and they were very excited to see him. I let him out of the carrier and he walked around the reception area as if he owned the place. I was talking to the office manager and noticed he was gone. She said not to worry he was walking around with Dr. B. (His vet). He has kitty crazies every so often and does enjoy running up and down the stairs from basement to bedrooms. He gets a little nervous when I practice for my dance competition. Guess he can't figure out why I'm in pajamas and high heels with rhinestone buckles. Probably doesn't see the logic in them.

1/06/12

The New Year couldn't have started better with him around. I don't know how many more ways to say what a joy he is. I tell him that every day. He made it through the two days I was at the dance competition like a pro. My neighbor who was cat sitting loved him. He's the star on my Facebook page. Don't have a picture of me in my profile but I have two of him. I'm in my office he's sitting about 6 feet away and I can hear him purring. Sorry had to stop for a moment for scritches, kisses and headbutts. Now if I can only get him to stop shredding the toilet paper.....

5/30/12
I just realized it's been nearly 6 months since an update. I can't believe the time has gone by so fast. He now has a blog named after him (www.mojomambo.blogspot.com )- it's my personal blog but there are occasionally bits about him on there. He is doing very well. He is happy, demanding little bugger when I'm out on the deck and he isn't. I bought a collar and leash for him over the weekend so we're doing a little bit of deck time to see if he can settle on the leash and be out there with me. He has grass to nibble on which sits on the window seat in my kitchen. He's enjoying the front door being open so he can watch the world go by. He is adjusting very well to life as a pampered, spoiled, meezer.

12/17/12

I didn't realize it had been that long since I posted an update. Mojo is doing very well. I started a job in DC 3 weeks ago which means I leave the house at 6 and am not home until 7:30. He is handling it well especially since I was home for nearly 5 months. I make sure we have time together when I get home at night, its a priority. We play a bit but he's happier on my lap purring while I watch TV and knit. He is such a joy but he is a brat as well. Spent far more than I should have on a bird feeder for my deck so that he has a little entertainment during the day. I have informed him his job is to sit by the door to scare away the squirrel but he's far more interested in figuring out a way to have dove for lunch.

07/21/2013

Himself is asleep beside me on the couch on one of his Siamese Rescue blankets while I watch My Cat From Hell. He finds the program quite amusing, mostly because of the behavior of the foolish humans. The host made a comment about cats choosing to sleep places where they feel secure. I realized that Mojo feels very secure because he can happily sleep at the top of the basement stairs. I also realized it had been months since an update. Rough months for me because of my job,the commute and the hours; most of which Mojo has taken in stride. As I am gone 14 hours a day I spend as much time as possible with him when I am home. I start a new job tomorrow, my dream job. Hours won't change very much but he has adjusted well. The dining room is filled with toys to occupy him while I am gone, his favorite though is the balled up aluminum foil which really travels when he bats it down the hall. 18 months into our lives together and things couldn't be better. He is a sweet loving cat and such a joy to be around. Even when he steals my ham sandwich from the dining room table. We had a little discussion about that, don't think it will happen again. Siri was right though, he is best as an only cat. A few weeks ago in the evening. I had the front door open so he could watch the world go by. I was in the kitchen and heard a terrible moan. I thought he was in pain and went flying to the front door only to find him nose to nose through the screen door with another cat. That is the only time he has ever exhibited any aggressive behavior. He met my neighbor's Yorkie/chihuahua mix not too long ago and was very friendly of course he has about 5 pounds on her so I don't think he was too worried. He is well known by my Facebook friends most of whom find his dented ear to be very rakish. He has finally agreed to allow me to trim his toenails, it was a bit of a struggle before. I'm sure the knowledge that he will be getting freeze dried chicken treats at the end of his manicure is a bonus.

12/10/13
Our second anniversary, Mojo's pleased because I am home due to the weather. He is currently yelling at the squirrels on the deck because they have made a mess of the bird feeder. The squirrels don't take him seriously. I'm sure they would feel differently if I allowed him even 10 seconds outside. However, he hates being cold so on a day like this I'm sure he wouldn't stay out for long. He is very content ruling the house. He takes any opportunity to sleep on my legs. He doesn't really snuggle. He doesn't like being under a blanket or wrapped in one, I'm guessing because of his past, but he loves being on top of a fleece blanket. He is healthy, content and I couldn't imagine life without him.

12/10/14
We have had an eventful year - we both now have a forever home. I bought a house in July. Of course I took Mojo's comfort in mind when I was house shopping. Our house has a lot of very sunny windows for his majesty to lounge in and watch the world go by. He even has a window seat. When I finally get around to making the cushions for it then we can both sit there in the afternoons to lounge in the sun and nap. He's happy with the old bedspread that is currently there but it's a little tough on my behind, especially if I have 9 lbs of sleeping cat on my legs. He adjusted to the move well and only really got stressed the last week in the old house and the first week in the new one. He loves the hardwood floors on the main living area and the ground floor. Those aluminum foils balls can really fly. A friend made him a catnip toy in the shape of an eyeball (with retina attached) for Halloween and he is very fond of that as well. He is also pleased that I am getting home 30 minutes earlier now, much less stressed from the drive. Though he's not really sure why the car is in the house now. When I finally got the garage cleaned out and was able to put the car in it the first time I opened the door to the garage and he saw the car and ran back up the stairs close enough that he could still see into the garage but far enough from the big red beast. He is also very fond of sitting on the door to the dishwasher when it is open, I still don't understand that.

12/10/2015
The year started out a bit rocky for Mojo. He went for his annual check-up and the vet suggested a tooth extration for one back tooth. Set it up for MJK Day and the poor guy ended up having 6 teeth extracted. He handled it like a pro and he is so much happier. Sometimes he fusses about trying to chew his food - but if I drop a crispy chow mein noodle on the floor or a tortilla chip, it's gone in a heartbeat so I think it's an act to get sympathy out of me. He runs around the house like a crazy cat playing with all of his toys. He loved Halloween this year, we have a full glass screen door and as I was outside passing out treats the kids were all looking in saying how pretty he was. I even took him out for a meet and greet with a little boy and he was perfect. My neighbors dog loves to run up to the front door to see the kitty - they haven't met face to face yet just through the door. He is the sweetest boy, I can't imagine my life without him. He is happy, content and very pampered.

12/12/16
I am happy to say nothing has changed, he is still spoiled and loved and a junk food junkie when he can get away with it. He still screams bloody murder when I arrive home because he thinks he is getting his dinner, which generally he is. I thought when I bought the electric car I could skunk him and sneak home, I forgot about the garage door opener. He loves going out in the garage when the door is closed to roll on the concrete. It's about all the communing with nature that he gets except for bird watching at the feeders in the front and back. But he's perfectly content to be an indoor kitty. He doesn't even run to the garage as fast now that it's cold.

Taking applications for a full time personal assistant! The qualifications are::
Must know that I am in charge. You must have time to cater to all my needs.
Must not have any small Humans in your life, another human is fine two servants are good but they must have the same qualifications. Must not have any 4 legged creatures in your life. They are beneath me and distracting to you from MY needs. Must understand that I sometimes change my mind. Some days I demand a lap others days I want to play and other I might just want to sit in the cat tree. Some days I want chin and ear rubs sometimes massages. Ok that can change from minute to minute not days but you get my drift you must know what is on my mind. Understand that I am very very smart and I am always right. So if you meet ALL those qualifications ASK about me.

12/31/15
This Saturday will be our one-month anniversary with Pippa. It's been an amazing and wonderful month. Because of Pippa's history as a fearful cat, we were hoping that she might be allowing us to pet her by now. Well, hold onto your hats, because she was in my lap at the end of the very first day!

When we first brought her home and let her out of her crate she looked at us and growled (which is what we expected). We left her alone in her designated room for the night and when I went in the next morning, I sat on the floor and just let her approach me. She soon came over and started rubbing against me and purring and wanting chin rubs. I was stunned and very happy. As I said, by that evening, she jumped into my lap.

Each day is better than the next - we have done everything gently and on her terms and it has paid off a thousand-fold! She spends an inordinate amount of time in my lap each day. If she's not in my lap - she's curled next to me. The best part is that she has become more and more relaxed. She now kneads with her paws, stretches her legs out, and finally gives a huge sigh. That sigh really gets me. To me it's her way of saying "I've finally come home." And she has.

4/28/16
Well, four months have flown by and both my husband and I wonder each day how we ever lived without Pippa. She has turned out to be something of a one-person cat and I am the main object of her affection and I have to confess that secretly I am delighted. Fortunately, my husband is a generous man and enjoys the attention she does bestow upon him from time to time and more importantly we both just enjoy her presence and find her wildly entertaining. We are both so happy knowing that she feels completely at home with us - so safe and so secure. She merrily plays, shows us her belly, tries to give us love bites (which I can't seem to cure her of) and follows me around like a little dog. Apparently going to the bathroom with me and watching me put on my make-up and then get dressed is EXTREMELY fascinating! She also climbs into my lap or snuggles next to me every day and then sleeps either on me or near me at night. All this from a fearful cat - I simply can't describe what it does to our hearts. My husband is away from home and Pippa is such a companion to me. Thank God we adopted her and thank you to everyone who brought her to us. She makes us so happy.

6/13/16

Yesterday was our six-month anniversary with Pippa (we have kept her name). The time has simply flown by and almost every day my husband and I turn to each other and say how grateful we are to have been allowed to adopt her. She is a joy and a comfort. She is frequently my little shadow - except for when she decides to tear around the house chasing imaginary fiends and attacking them and making us laugh uproariously.

As each month goes by, the bond I have with her deepens and I feel her trust me (and others) more and more. She now lets me pick her up more and sometimes dangle her while she is completely relaxed. We have little "love" routines between us where she comes to me and gazes into my eyes, I rub her ears and sing silly songs to her about how beautiful she is. She responds with deep purrs, head rubs and more loving looks.

If I am sad or sick, Pippa knows it and spends extra time with me until I am feeling better. She has been known to come flying from another room to leap onto my chest and lick my face if she hears me crying.

Somehow when I heard about this cat, I wanted her and felt she was for me and I for her. Obviously, I was right to trust that instinct.

12/12/16
Well, it's been one whole year so they suggested that I write this update instead of Mommy or Other Guy, so here I am to tell you about my life. I just LOVE my life! I am just so darn happy! I love both my parents, but I really, really, really love my Mommy. When she stays home with me I just can't get enough of her. I want to be by her side and crawl into her lap ALL THE TIME! Of course, since I am SO beautiful and fascinating and sweet she wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her. I even sit on the edge of the bathtub and watch her take her bath. The only thing that upsets me is when Mommy is sick or when she sneezes. This really worries me and I have to take extra good care of her when she does that. Mommy and I spend a lot of time talking to each other, and "Other Guy" and I talk, too. He's really nice, but I don't want his lap. Mommy says I am very "sensitive" so I guess I am. I know when people are sad. I always know if Mommy or her other daughter are sad and our next door neighbor lost his son and came to our house and even though I had never met him before and I'm usually a little shy with strangers, I went right up to him and tried to comfort him because I could sense how sad he was. I want to live with Mommy and Other Guy forever and they say I can. It's good to be happy and be loved. Even more than that I love having people to love.

Pippa

You see, I am so very sad now, my owner died and I found myself in the shelter, watching other cats die. But a lady came and rescued me, and she promised someone would come along who would love me as much as my owner did, and make sure I was safe.
Do you have gentle hands, a soft voice and the time to mend my broken heart ?

Notes from Home
12/8/2013 Wow, hard to believe I adopted Jack a year ago today! He is a very sweet and gentle cat, much better adjusted than when he first came to me. Still very shy but loves his sister Tosca and makes sure to wake me up every morning running up and down the bed looking for his canned food treat! He is in good health and will soon take him in for his annual checkup.

I can hold and hug him for a bit now too, he just purrs when I do or will lie across my lap too.

Thank you again, Jack is a welcome addition to my life!

I still keep in touch with the nice lady who adopted her kitty a year ago today too so not only did I gain a Meezer but a new human friend too.

Bless you all for the work you do on the behalf of these beautiful cats!!

Happy Holidays to you all!

Jack, Tosca and G!

5/29/2013-Hi all, been meaning to update Jack's page before this. He is doing so much better, him and Tosca, his sister, are finally bonding. He is very happy, not scared like he was when he first came to me. He LOVES to eat, and lay on my lap, all 15 pounds of him, lol...love him to pieces, so happy he has come to live with us. He also loves to eat flies so no bug worries at my place now!
Every morning he wakes me up and stares at me with those beautiful blue eyes of his. Thank you SRL for bringing this little guy to me!! Happy Summer, all!

12/15/2012 ps-Mom reminded me of my manners, geesh, bossing me around already...but she gave me a kiss on my head after and that felt good.....

Thank you to Siri and all the Meezer Moms, all seven of them, who transported me lovingly across three or four states, I lost count. I learned about all kinds of music that day and what a very happy human sounds like when my new Mom picked me up. She kissed me so much, I got embarrassed!

will be back soon, Handsome Jack!

12/20/20: Well Hello everyone, it's Handsome Jack again! Things are moving along, am loving my new home.Still a little scared of my Mom as she's very tall but I am getting used to her touch and voice and big smile. Those glasses throw me though!

She came towards me once after a shower and her head wrapped in a towel. Let me tell ya, that freaked me out!! Only so much a middle aged dude can take! I realized it was her though, whew!

Tosca, my new sister, is still not ready to let me snuggle, so am disappointed about that. But, I'm a patient man and will be polite and respect her reluctance to trust me. I know I'm a big handsome guy too and some female cats are rather intimidated by my muscular physique.

Mom tells me after the New Year her and I are going to have to cut down on all the goodies though, we both need to lose a few pounds.

I'm happy though, I can wander around my new home and play with bags and ribbons. We have a big tree with lights and I have no desire to climb it either. Those days are over!

Well, you all have a wonderful Christmas, Mom is going to upload a picture soon..

Note from Gudrun: Thank you all again for your love and kindness in transporting this wonderful gift to me, Jack continues to make me smile every day. I was so saddened over the sudden loss of my precious Sammy a couple months ago, and this has helped to take the pain away.

Love you all! G

Love, and Merry Christmas to all, Gudrun, Jack and Tosca

12/22-Note from Jack: Hi everyone, just wanted to tell you Tosca, my new sister, finally allowed me on
the bed with her! I was so excited, but respected her space and lay on the end of the bed like a good boy and didn't stare at her. Some girls don't like that!

I like my new home, it's got lots of spaces to hide in too if I get scared or nervous. Which seems to be less and less lately.

Also, went to the doctors yesterday, was NOT happy about being in that cage again, cried the whole way, even though Mom tried to console me. She was surprised at my good, strong voice!

The vet was nice though, sqeeuzed me here and there.I weigh 13lbs, 14 ozs but Dr. Waters tells my mom that I only need to lose about a pound and I will be fine! Yay! I tried to let Mom know I am just a big, healthy guy!

I hear Christmas is a big deal in my new family, I have a tree ornament with my name on it, how is that for a welcome, yowsa!

I still hide when new people come over and when Mom brought me home from vets, took me an hour or so to realize I was not going anywhere but back to my new home. That's a relief. Can't take any more moving around.

I miss my foster family, Heida was so nice to me, Muchu too, and Tosca is a rather lazy gal but that's OK. And Mom pets me so much I am getting spoiled. I love sitting in her lap and even let her pick me up a little and put me over her shoulder.

It's all good. Now time to get some eats!

Hey SRL" Jack is adjusting really well, Tosca is a bit of a grump towards him but she's moody, like all of us are! He is so loving and sweet, I love him more each day!

Merry Christmas! Jack and the gang!

12/31-Happy New Year's Everyone. Jack and Mom reporting...Jack is doing very well, still a bit shy and hides when new people come over but seems happy, sleeps alot, even plays with some toys, comes to me for hugs and kisses and even lets me pick him up for a few minutes. Tosca still not being overly friendly but she will adjust over time....

Hi all from Jack, yeah, Tosca is a tough nut to crack but she lost her brother too, just like I lost my sister and I know how that is. I sure have been eating good. Christmas was fun, lots of rustling noises and some good eats!! I have met some new humans too and have some fun places to sleep. Mom always finds me and hugs me. Kinda like it!. I have a new toy now and bat it around, am sleeping on the bed alot too. Feel right at home. Not a bad place for me to rest my self after all the moving around I did.

Happy New Year to all my friends at SRL-love from Jack!

1/9/2013-Hello All, it's Handsome Jack and it's been one month since I have been in my new home. I must say I am still a bit freaked out by all the news sounds and smells. Tosca, my new sister, is having a tough time accepting me but I am always very gentle when I approach her. I have patience. Mom is great but she gets sad when I get scared so much. I can't help it, you don't want to know what I have seen in my past...She hugs me a lot and forgives me when I run from her. I don't mean to, it's just instinct. I am afraid to move again! But I love my soft bed and still eat pretty good. Mom loves when I come out to kitchen in the morning for breakfast. Hope all you Meezers and Moms are having a great start to the New Year! Love to all, Jack (will post more pictures soon!)

3/11/2013 Helllo all, just a note to tell you Jack is still doing well in his new home, it's been three months now. He is such a sweet, gentle guy, hangs on the couch with me during the day now and jumps up and plops into my lap as it suits him. He is not so frightened of every move I make. I get him to purr a lot and he even lets me pick him up but not for long. We are very happy together and he has even become closer to his sister Tosca. Hope all of you are having wonderful Spring. I am so happy to have calmed the fears of this gentle boy. Take care all! Love, Gudrun, Jack and Tosca

11/1/2014 Dear SRL: I wanted to say hello to all you fine people and let you know Jack is such a wonderful addition to my home. In fact, he has overcome his shyness towards me at least and will come quietly lay over my lap from time to time...or let me pick him up and hug him...purrs like a truck.....prrrr.....dear little man. He now has bonded with my new adopted rescue dog Annie,so cute...picture attached demonstrates the growing love between them. He is such a gentle kitty and such a big huggy bear of a cat....almost 16 pounds now...very vocal too...Thank you again for bringing this wonderful fur baby to me. Love from Gudrun, Jack, Tosca and Annie!

12/2016-Dear SRL-a note to update you on Jack's progress, he is doing fine, is happy, healthy and so much more confident than when I first brought him home. He is a sweetheart, very verbal, loves to be picked up now. My other cat has since passed so Jack has bonded with my little dog Annie. We are all living in San Francisco now and very happy. He stays indoors and enjoys the sunlight, treats, and his little sister from another mother, Annie. Love and Happy Holidays to you all, thank you again for all the good work you do! Love, Gudrun, Jack and Annie

ROMEO
Aren't I just the cutest or do you think my brother Oliver is cuter than me?

I am eating like a champ and growing like a weed or so foster mom says. What has a weed got to do with me?

My brother and I are a pair. We have a box for our toys and we both try to sleep in it together. We hope to be able to stay together in our forever home.

We will need a home that is a one day or less transport for us.

Foster mom says we are too cute for words so ask about me and she will tell you all there is to know.

Notes from Home

Romeo (you may want to correct his name you have it spelled wrong) has turned into such a good little boy. He is very smart, comes when I call him and has a great appetite. He is very inquisitive and wants to know what I am doing at all times. He sleeps on my desk in his bed when I am at work and tries to helps me when ever he can. He is trying his best to bond with my older cat but Yoshie is still a little stand offish when it comes to the kittens. The vet came yesterday and gave him a clean bill of health and said he is doing great.

June 8, 2014 Romeo is still a little lover. He has really started bonding with my older cat, Yoshie. They sleep together and clean each other and are really becoming good friends. He loves to chase his tail. I have never seen a cat, a dog yes, but not a cat do this. Unfortunately, he does this on my bed at 5 am. There is no sleeping in with this little lover boy.

09/21/14: Romeo is still more timid than Sammy but Sammy is teaching him well. Romeo is starting to get more inquisitive and will try to do whatever Sammy is doing. But he is still more laid back and he listens whereas Sammy doesn't. Romeo is a little lover and loves to snuggle with Yoshie and I.

12/08/15 - Romeo has developed allergies. We haven't quite figured out what is causing them. The poor little guy is just miserable when they flare up but we are working diligently trying to figure it out. I have him on a special dry food and that seems to help, but I can't find a wet food that he likes. I have changed the litter, started giving him herbal baths (that is not his favorite thing to do) and have ordered some special supplements that helps with the coat. My vet says we just have to keep trying until we get it right. All in all, even when he has a bad day, Romeo is still a little lover boy.

12/10/16- We finally have Romeo's allergies under control. After trying all kinds of foods and litters we found some that he can handle. Unfortunately the pollen is still a problem so we have found medication that helps him through the rough time. It has been quite a year but he is a happy little boy now. He is still a little lover and quite the talker. He knows exactly what to say to make Mom's heart melt to get his treats. He is definitely a Romeo.

Fogo is quite the loverboy. He's never met a lap he didn't want to sit in for extended periods of time. He and Samba are both getting on very well with my dog. Lots of purrs and nuzzling and snuggling at my house!

SAMBA
Cute, outgoing, playful and lots of fun! What more could you be looking for in a meezer?

I need a playmate when I go home and hopefully you have one just right for me!

I do not like being confined to my carrier, so hopefully you do not live too far away!

Samba is doing great. She is my feisty little warrior princess. She is getting along very well with my dog. She loves to drink from his water bowl instead of her own.
