ARLO
Solstice is guarded and leery, at first, but has a purr loud enough for the record books! He will take a little time and patience, but should come around quickly. He is paired with his sister, Summer, with whom he grooms, eats, cuddles, and even goes tandem in the litter box! They will need a quieter home with no kids, or possibly an older child. If you are looking for a pair of kittens who just need a little coaxing, then ask about Solstice and Summer.

Solstice has been renamed Arlo. He is a little bit shy when he is out and about, but he purrs like crazy when he's in his safe room. After a check up at the vet, he is still on eye drops for conjunctivitis, but he's looking much better already. He loves to play with the feather toys and is trying to make friends with our older female cat.

7/7/19- Arlo has adjusted well to his forever home. He is definitely daddy's little boy. But he will occasionally sit by other humans. He loves to cuddle with his sister, Bowie and sometimes his step-brother Leo. Eating is his favorite pastime and he always reminds me when it is feeding time. He has become one of the most beautiful cats we have ever seen. I never thought I would come to love flame points as much as I do now.

BOWIE
Summer is a sweet little flame point who is just a little unsure at first, but warms up quickly. She enjoys attention and has an incredible purr. She is paired with her brother, Solstice, with whom she loves to cuddle, share a meal, groom, and even use the litter box in tandem! They will need a quieter home with either no kids or, possibly, an older, respectful child. If you are looking for a pair who just needs a little coaxing to come out of their shells, then ask about Summer and Solstice.

We have renamed Summer to Bowie. She is happy and healthy, just recently having a check up with the vet. She is extremely active and not at all shy. She really wants to be friends with our two older cats, but they are still cautious. She purrs all the time and has settled in beautifully.

7/7/19- 2 years after adopting Bowie and her brother, she has become the sweetest cat I have ever owned. She follows me everywhere and begs to be picked up. Bowie is definitely my kitty, but she loves everyone. I'm happy to report that she is very healthy and has adjusted very well to living with our other cats. They have even been caught snuggling together from time to time.

MIKKO
Hi, I'm known as Charlie. Meowmy said I'm a loving, healthy fella who's looking for love. Can you give me that?

I didn't mind the dog I met at the vet when I went for my check up, and will let you know about other cats as soon as I can be let out of my isolation time..

If you want a love bug, ask about me.

Purrs,
Charlie

Notes from Home
Hi Everyone,

Mikko (FKA Charlie) has settled in beautifully and has a great deal of tolerance for the princess, Meryl. He clearly has been around dogs since he has no concerns with mine and doesn't even react to the occasional parrot scream. Both cats play - Mikko is bigger than Meryl who's got that small-boned, leggy ting going on but Mikko remains gentle with her.

Mikko has perfect litter box habits, eats well, uses scratching posts and not the furniture, and is super affectionate. He's so attentive and smart and has turned out to be the sweet, playful companion that I was hoping for Meryl. When I see him out of the corner of my eye, I'd swear he was my 18 12/ year old apple head seal point boy I lost last December. But he's not - rather Mikko is his own brand of unique and wonderful. Such a pleasure to have in my life.

Thanks to Siamese Rescue for all you've done, the many lives you've saved, and the happiness you've brought to so many - me included.

Susan

It's with a saddened, breaking heart that I inform you that Crystal passed. She fell into congestive heart failure very quickly an we could not save her. I loved this crazy, adorable, lovable cat! She was my 'Baby-Girl'!!! I miss her so very much. I can't believe she's gone. Know that we absolutely adored her and she had a wonderful life with us. She wanted for nothing except more food and more loving! How I miss her....
Tom

We absoutely adore Crystal. She brings a different meaning to appreciation.
Crystal ahs adapted very well. Seh continues to steal Buxton's food but is healthy as can be. We had atooth removed last fall but her spring doctor vist was perfect. She maintians her 'healthy' weight but has not gained any more, so that is good. She is energetic and loving. She actually waits for me as I shower and dress in the moring. I like to think she waits for me but in actuallity she knows I feed her breakfast and dinner so I'm the go-to-guy. It's all good. Crystal sit with me on the couch, is by my side in my offce and at the foot of my bed every night. She purred very loudly the other morning as I scratche dher head; a first for her! That is how I know she is content with us.
What else can I say except she is loved to pieces and makes our house a home.
Tom&Deb

Crystal has adapted very well. She is part of our life as if she were born in this house. She and Buxton get along very well. They play every night chasing each other through every part of the house utilizing all three floors. She gained a tremendous amount of weight [about 2 pounds] last winter when our pet sitter filled her bowl with food for the long holiday weekend in January. Our pet sitter was accustomed to Buxton’s petit style of eating and I did not make it clear that Crystal needs to have her food portioned for her. She tends to eat Buxton’s leftover’s so we keep an eye her now. She’s lost some of that weight but it’s tough to get her down to her svelte pre-kittens size.

We absolutely adore her! That tongue is hilarious and we have gotten many comments regarding it on her Catbook page on FaceBook. She is so cute and snuggly. She thrives on attention and gets mad at me when I don’t spend time with her every day. She does hold grudges after being reprimanded, just like a spoiled child. As seem by the attached pictures, she has made herself @ home. She sleeps almost every night @ the foot of our bed in a bed and waits every morning for us to finish in the bathroom to join us down stairs in the kitchen for breakfast.

She does know her name and is beginning to respond to my other nicknames, ‘Baby Kins’ or ‘Monkey Face’. She greets me @ the door every night when I come home from work. I truly adore her and can’t imagine her not being part of my life. Deb and I are thrilled with her. I wanted to adopt another kitty b/c you have so many needing home but Debs says no. L

Just wanted you to know that we love her, she has a great home, and I honestly think she is very content. She wants for nothing…except more attention and more food!

Take Care.

Tom & Debs

ANGUS
Small boned handsome seal boy with a long whippy tail.

I'm very shy, especially in new surroundings and with people I don't know. So I like to hide away until I feel safe.

Gentle and kind hearted at all times. I need to be adopted with my sister - Crazy Woman. She will look after me when I'm nervous, so we belong together.

Best matched to a home without any other cats, as we have both need lots of one on one time to allow us to feel safe and secure again.

Wedge experienced home preferred also so you understand how extremely sensitive we are, but also know just how special life will be with the two of us!

A wonderful pair of cats that really deserve a second chance in life with someone to love and take care of them.

Notes from Home
Hi, Angus here (Meowmmy also calls me Boy and her boy calls me sweetheart). I am so proud of myself at allowing myself to let down my guard! These humans can't seem to resist me! They call it "floppy kitty" when I lay on the floor at their feet, purr and expect to be patted for at least 5 minutes. Saturday night I even climbed on Meowmmy's lap with Minnie and settled down for a good long nap. This morning I slept curled up behind Meowmmy's knees (outside the covers of course! I'm not like Minnie). I prefer the Nutro Essentials Indoor crunchies more than the Nutro Max Duck but I am eating both and Meowmmy always stays close by so Minnie doesn't help herself to my duck. We love to sleep together during the day and sometimes have wrestling matches (I am the first to walk away but I often initiate the match). I also am good at the litterbox and haven't had any accidents, even in the beginning when I was so nervous! I mostly use the scratcher wave that Meowmmy Jane gave me but sometimes the office chair is irresistable. My favorite way to get upstairs is to get on the fireplace and go thru the railing to magically appear at the bathroom door and do floppy kitty. Although Minnie is the biggest talker (she is a girl after all) I do enjoy talking some (Meowmmy says I sound like a goose not a cat). I have discovered that I am a good spider stalker and enjoy huntiing them. I wake up from a dead sleep when I hear Meowmmy playing with Minnie and make sure I get my turn too.

I'm hoping to go home with my brother Angus. I'm a teeny tiny very Siamese seal gal who is going to need lots and lots of attention and loving! Quieter households with someone home a lot; someone who loves wedgies! No long weekends away or terribly long work hours please. Needy needy needy!!!

Hi, Minnie here (as known as Minnie Pearl, Minnie the Love Bug, Minnie Mayhem) as Meowmmy kept the name my amazing foster mom Jane gave me. I am doing well. I am a chowhound! I eat half a can of Nutro Max Duck twice a day and can have Nutro Essentials Indoor crunchies anytime I want. I use my scratcher wave that Mom Jane sent home with me and love the warmer bed she sent too. My new home has a cat tower and another wave that I like to sit on and use to make playing with my balls more fun. My favorite toy is a feather wand with the feathers removed. I am very good about using the litterbox and haven't had any accidents. Every night I sleep in bed with Meowmmy and dad; they don't seem to mind.

YAZHI
I have a problem with my right eye that will be permanent. The vet says that my eye injury is old and does not need to be treated. It reacts to light and movement. There is no way to predict if it will cause me problems in the future, but certainly not now. But I am so beautiful that you will not even notice it. I stay so very busy trying to get as many pets in as I can that no one is going to get a good stare at it if I can help it. It is not going to define my life. I seem to be okay with other cats, but dogs are really scary.Who needs dogs anyway? I do need lots of hands to help me keep my plush coat gorgeous.

Notes from Home
Greetings everyone at Siamese Rescue and foster Meowm!

I just passed my two-week anniversary in my fur-ever home, and I couldn’t be happier. My meown is the best and so are my big brothers, all three of them.

Do you have some time? I would like to tell my story thus far, especially now that I have convinced meowm to write an update. I discovered that I am not the only kitty here to be adopted from Siamese Rescue and I think I’ve got the other rescues to on board to have meowm write updates for them too. So, keep an eye or two out for those.

My storybook tale began on July 1st. I had a long trip through Meezer Express to my final destination here in West Virginia. That’s West Virginia not western Virginia. Everybody who traveled with me commented on my beauty and sweetness. I think some were a little disappointed that I couldn’t stay with them. There were no problems along the way and I am most grateful to all those who helped me get to my fur-ever home. When meowm saw me up close for the first time she thought I was cutest thing she had “ever” seen. And I am, don’t you know it?

When I got home, meowm put me in a room all by myself. She stayed with me and played with me for a long time. While I played, I kept seeing these noses appear under the door. One was black, one was gray, and one was brown. When I went to investigate, every time a paw would suddenly shoot out from under the door. One was black and brown, one was gray, and one white and gray. Now, I am still just a baby but that told me that there were other critters in my house. I had fun playing paws with my new friends.

The next day meowm took me out of my room and we watched TV and played games on her bed. She had shut the door but I could see those same noses and paws again. She put me back in my room before she went to sleep. I didn’t want to go so I dashed the door and met face to face, nose to nose actually, with another cat. It didn’t hiss at me. I think I scared it as much as it scared me. Instead of a hiss, it sneezed on me. Yuck! Meowm caught me and put me back in my room before the cat could sneeze on me again. Boy was that cat big.

On Monday, I dashed the door every time meowm opened it. The last time I did I went right through the railing to the stairs and discovered a whole new world. So much room to explore and there were more cats. This house has three besides me. Funny thing was that they weren’t immediately interested in me but rather my toys. They took all my toys. I didn’t really mind though because I found a big box of toys when I was exploring. So much to do. After dashing the door a half dozen times or so meown gave up on my confinement and let me out. I finally met all my brothers: Jacques, Irving, and Finnegan. They are so much fun to play with. They have only ever been the nicest of gentlemen to me. Finnegan seems a little sweet on me. He gives me baths.

Jacques is also from Siamese Rescue. Every cat’s name is special. Jacques got his because meowm went to France not long after he came to be with her. Irving got his name because meowm teaches at a middle school, Washington Irving. A colleague of hers brought him to school one day and he went home with her. He is as ornery as her students are according to meowm. And Finnegan got his name because a trip to Ireland is next on meowm’s bucket list. And me? Well, she gave me a new name too. My name is Yazhi. It’s pronounced Yahz- hee. It’s Navajo, and means “little one”. Meowm thinks I’m going to be a little kitty. She’s into language, she even speaks cat, and that’s why we have the names we do. She even has a betta fish. It’s named after the Greek letter Mu.

I guess that’s all for now.

Purrs and biscuits,

Yazhi (FKA Shammie)

PS: Meowm posted a picture of me. She’s a shutterbug, so be on the lookout for more pictures. I’ll make sure she posts more and updates from time to time. Ciao!

7-26-17

I've had my "meet and greet" with my vet (one of two) here. Dr, McCutcheon. He thought I was cute, in very good health, and is not worried about my eye. He thinks I can see with it. I haven't met Dr. Canfield yet. I'm sure I will eventually. I'm writing this because meowm gave me some news today and I am not sure how I feel about. She told me I am getting a sister soon, maybe this weekend. One would have thought that my brother's and me would have been enough. Meowm's heart is really big. She looking forward to the kitty, so I guess I am too. While I am here at the computer I thought I would upload a few more pictures. I hope you like them.

Miau,

Yazhi

Oops! I’m a bit late in updating. Please forgive me, but I’m just too busy to sit down in front of the computer and peck at a keyboard. Besides, meowm is using it for lesson plans and other stuff.

Let me tell you a bit about a normal day in my life. During the week my day begins early, 5:15 in the blessed morning. Meowm has got to get up and go to work now. Bummer! Anyway, after breakfast, it’s playtime. Me and Jacques, he’s the meezer geezer, race and play tag, mostly in the rooms on the ground floor. It’s a lot of fun. He’s pretty quick for an old man. Next, it’s tag with Finnegan. We race each other up and down the stairs. There are two flights of stairs in this old house. It’s a lot of fun too. I like skidding across the hardwood floor on the second level. It’s like skating. Later, me and Irving play with these springs. We tote them all over the house and bat them to each other in a game of badminton. Meowm is determined to get a picture of one us toting a spring. That’s my morning routine. In the afternoon, we all like to curl up on the couch and nap. Irving is a big, fat pillow. The only thing missing is meowm. Why did July have to end? When meowm gets home in the afternoon, I am first to greet her. Everything starts again in the evening for meowm’s amusement.

My favorite thing is Friday evenings. Meowm pops a DVD into to the player and curls up on the chaise lounge under a blanket. One by one me and my brothers pile on top of her. I usually curl up right under her chin, Irving takes her belly, and Jacques and Finnegan split her legs. Meowm is stuck there like that for at least two hours. It’s the best. We can’t wait for Gytha to join us, although I’m not sure where she’ll find room. Meowm says it will be a while yet before we will have to worry about that.

A couple of weeks ago this red dot appeared on the floor. It moved and I could not resist chasing it. I was not alone. Irving and Finnegan couldn’t resist either. Only Jacques had the power to resist. Chasing it was fun and it would appear here, there, and everywhere. Then it did something really weird. The red dot would lead us into meowm’s room and the door would shut. Meowm would then disappear into the other room. I didn’t like that little trick. My sister is in the that room and all I wanted to do was meet her and play with her. I just couldn’t resist following that red dot. Now, it only appears on the lower level, and I can go into my sister’s room whenever I please.

My sister Gytha is pretty cool but wobbly. I want to play with her, but meowm says I have to be gentle. I can’t wait until she can join in all our kitty games.

Well, break time is over. Can you hear the pitter patter of kitty feet? Got things to do…

Yazhi

9-4-17

Howdy from Yazhi!

Bet you've been wondering where I've been. Well, I've been here and there and everywhere. I'm just a busy, busy gal. I've got a house to take care of, three big brothers to keep in line, and a little sister whom I must show the ropes. And then there's meowmy too. I've been nursing her back to good health. Allergies have knock her down a bit, but I've got the best medicine, love, love, and more love. Soon those allergies will be history and meowmy will be back on her feet. This particular malady is unique. Meowmy calls it the Welcome Back to School crud because the whole school is down with it. I've got her covered though. She's in good paws. No worries.

I've got nothing really to report other than that I couldn't be happier. Oh, and if my sister tells you that she beat me in a race know that it just isn't so. I let her win because meowmy told me I had to be easy with her. So, I let her win a few races and it's gone to her head. However, I better stop letting her win because she's pretty darn fast in spite of her gimpy legs. Soon it'll be a toss up.

I do have two short stories to tell. The weather here for the most part has been more like Autumn than the end of Summer. So, meowmy has opened the big screen door. We can sun ourselves and smell the outdoor smells and watch an occasional bird or big bug fly by. One day I was racing my brothers and meowmy had the door open. I thought it was open so I could go through it. Instead, I did a header into the screen I couldn't see. Meowmy couldn't stop laughing. I didn't think it was all that funny. What about you? And then one Friday evening while an exhausted meowmy was relaxing on the chaise under a blanket, I decided that a good place to sleep was under her chin. I couldn't quite get comfortable though. I would get up and paw her, turn around, stretch, knead, stomp, curl up and then do it all again. Once I smacked meowmy square in the chin with not just my paw but with my claw. I woke meowmy up with a start. I went flying across the room (not really but it seemed that way) and meowmy's chin ran blood. Meowmy cleaned up her face and settled down again on the chaise and so did I under right under her chin. It was as if nothing ever happened. Maybe I imagined the whole thing? Well, that's all for now.

Purrs,

Yazhi

PS. Meowmy has a bunch of pictures of me with brothers and sister. I'll get her to post them as soon as possible.

Howdy to all my peeps at Siamese Rescue and beyond!

Sorry for not keeping the updates coming but I'm a busy little girl. I've three brothers, a sister, a meowmy, and a house to look after. When I go to sleep I go from exhaustion. Busy, busy, busy. Everything is fine and dandy here is West Virginia. Meowmy keeps hoping for snow. She says it's time for snow. She just likes it. I have no idea what it is. It's been cold here, and the house gets cold but it is always warm on meowmy. Saturdays remain my favorite day of the week. Meowmy likes to spend the afternoon on the couch. She pops a movie in the player and plops down on the couch under a blanket. Jacques is usually the first to arrive. He's like meowmy's shadow. He is always nearby. Wherever she is he is. So, he's first then me. Sometimes Irving beats me to the punch. If he gets there first there is very little room for me. It's good thing that I am so petite. He is so big and fuzzy and fat. Meowmy calls fat cat. He is her little boy. He was the first true kitten she has had since she was a kid herself. That was a long time ago. Finnegan is a love bug.He loves us lady kitties. He makes sure we have clean faces. He likes to like our faces whether we need or not.

Yesterday was the best Saturday yet. Meowmy has been under the weather. She seems to catch cold about every three weeks. She works in a germ factory. It's called middle school. I don't know what that is, but there is a little human who comes to the house from time to time and he is one of her students. I don't know what a student is so when he's here I keep my distance. Anyhoo, back to Saturday. Meowmy has been feeling under the weather and decided to spend the day curled up on the couch under a blanket. We were all there with her. Jacques took her legs, Irving curled up on her belly and I curled up on her chest. Gytha curled up next to the heap of cats and human and Finn took his place on the back of the couch. We spent the whole day like that. It was great. Meowmy calls it kitty medicine. She seems to be feeling better today. She's got work to do today. We think she needs more time under the blanket with us. She told that there will be plenty of time for that. Winter break starts in five days. I can't wait.

Wow! I can make the routine sound exciting. But that's my life here, routine. Well, I've got my chores to do. Got to keep those boys and my sister in line. Have a happy holiday and check out my newest pics. Meowmy manage to catch me on film again.

7-1-2018

Zip. Zoom. Hi, hiya doing. Wait a second there's a ping pong ball! Got go! Irving's got a spring, got to see if I can get it. He's fun to play with. Oops! There's my sister. Wack! There's brother Finnegan, Wack!. There's meowmy, wack her ankles. Feeding time. Be right back.. Trip meowmy. Nudge Jacques out of the little pan bed. Hop into a box. Race up the stairs and down and up and down. Hide in a box. Wack a cat. Scatter papers. Tear up papers. Wait, there's meowmy curled up under a blanket watching some TV. Siesta time. Be back later.

Later.... Six months! Really? Are you sure? That seems too short a period of time. I do declare that I have been here my whole life, well almost. It sure seems like forever. Couldn't be happier. I've got everything a Siamese kitty could want, and my meowmy and my siblings just adore me. I don't think it could be any better. Thanks a bunch sending me to West Virginia.

Well, I've got to go. I've got to work some magic. It's been cold, very cold here in the Mountain State, and meowmy has had a couple of snow days. Snow days are great because they are days she gets to spend the whole day with us and it's not a Saturday. We'd like her to have another one on Monday, so me and my buddies are shaking our tails, wiggling our whiskers, bee bopping about the house and meowing to the snow gods in the hopes that they grant meowmy another day. We want her home.

Purrs and nudges,

Yazhi

22-3-2018

Can we talk? I have a something I need to get off my whiskers. See, I'm the big sister here, so I will wap the boy kitties and even meommy's ankles and shins when she walks by. I assure you that I am just being playful. and affectionate. The boys don't mind, and they will often wap me back and then the tag game begins. Recently, as we gather in the kitchen for breakfast, I've begun to take advantage of the close proximity of us all and have takien to wappin' Gytha smack on the head. It's like pounding a nail into a piece of wood. Meowmmy tells me stop with that moewmmy voice of hers when she catches me in the act. She doesn't like it when I do it. Gytha often falls over when I do it. She's kind of wobbly, ya' know. She even calls me a bully. What's a bully? Do you think I'm a bully? I mean I really think I am an equal opportunity wapper. Well, this morning Gytha wapped me. She got me right between the eyes, and meowmmy laughed and praised her, saying "way to go Gytha". Gytha then wapped me again. I was in such shock that I stuck my nose in the air and made tail supper straight, except for that curl I have and marched right out the kitchen. Do you think meowmmy likes her more than me? Is that even possible? My brothers tell me I am crazy to think there's a favorite in the house. This is really bothering me. What do you think?

This afternoon when meowmmy came home from work I met her at the door. She put her bags down, picked me up and showered me kisses and pets. I guess everything is cool. I was the only one to get such attention. I must be special too. :)

Purrs and headbutts,

Yazhi

Wishing all Meowmmies a Happy Meowm's Day! We love our meowms!

All is well. in Yazhi's house. Spring has finally arrived and the windows are open. That's means I can keep an eye on those annoying pigeons next door. They think they can break in to the house next door and claim it as their own. Bad birds! Where are the vermin police? Know where they are send to me so can direct them. Well, I am a busy gal. Only slow down to eat and sleep and you know...Today, meowmmy was brushing Irving. He's a very big, fuzzy kitty. Sometimes meowmy has to shave his hind quarters. He lets her. He actually lays on his back spread eagle while she shaves. Today he looked like he was having a good time being brushed so when he had enough I jumped up and meowmy brushed me too. It was nice, felt real good. I think I'll skip the shave. Meowmy says Finnegan will have to be shaved too. Too many mats in his fur. Vet said it was okay. When she was done with my brushing, meowmy said I was a very pretty kitty. That was the best. You already know I am pretty, right? I will have join Irving again for a brush session.

Got to go! Things to do!

Happy Anniversary to me, TO ME! Has it been a year already. Why I didn't know time was flying by so fast. I guess when your busy you just don't notice. I feel like I've been here fur-evah. I spend my days doing this and that. There's toys to play with, the tunnel to race through and ambush someone, sometimes it's a brother, sometimes it's Gytha, and sometimes it meowmy, sometimes the red dot makes an appearance and resistance to its wiley way is futile, there are boxes to investigate, maybe a brother, sister, or meowmy to wap, and when I'm tired there's meowmy's legs to curl up in. Speaking of meowmy, she and I are pretty tight. I've got her well trained. Me and Jacques keep in line. Finnegan thinks I'm his girl. He likes to wash me face and spoon with me. And I like to chase Gytha and Irving. So, that's my life. Oh, and I almost forgot I got a new brother. I can't really say much about him yet. I dashed the door as meowmy was coming out and after three times of putting me out and managed to sneak in and spend the afternoon with Terrwyn. Don't have much to say about him, except wink. All is well. No complaints. I be very happy here.

25/08/18

I had my annual with the vet this past week. I got a good look over and my shots. The vet said I was perfect in every way. Did I tell you she said I was beautiful? Well, she did. That's all I got this time. Life is beautiful.

Hi, hello, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!. I am happy in my home with all my brothers and sisters and pet mom too. Terrwyn thinks I am a pushy broad. He gets off the meowmy's bed super fast when I jump up. Maybe in time he'll change his mind. Got to run. There goes Finnegan. Oh, yeah almost forgot, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

25/06/19

Yazhi here, How are ya'? Oh, wait there's a toy, gotta go. It's summer and meowmy is home all day. Wait, there's Irving, gotta go. Time to play. Sorry, I am just very busy, too busy to paw a few words. There's Finegan, gotta go. Another toy, be right back. Hey, meowmy is giving belly rubs, got to get mine. Ahhhhh, so nice. Time for a nap. Where's Gytha? Oh, there she is in her tree. Jacques is napping, hmmm, I think I'll join him, pushing him out of the boxtop bed. I like it too. There's a toy. Wow, meowmy refilled the food bowl! Time to eat. Hey, I found a ball!. So much fun! Meowmy's got the hairbrush out. Got to get my beauty treatment. There's Terrwyn, wap! He's such a turd, hiding all the time. There's another toy! So many toys here that I always have something to do. Well, in case you haven't figured it out yet I am living the best cat life a cat ever had. Ciao...

OLLIE
Hello - foster is calling me Mr. Personality. I waltzed right out of my carrier to rub on her and purred the loudest I could, just in case she did not get the message that I LOVE people.
Check out my videos.

I am a very handsome flame point! Dark points, well defined on my legs, tail and ears. I lean towards the Classic Siamese with a smaller build and not too round or too narrow of a face.

I am very playful and talkative. I am now busy exploring everything and am getting along fine with Foster's cats and dogs.

Notes from Home
Ollie (previously Tony) is loving life in his new home. He is fully acclimated and loves all the space he has to roam and explore. He is very energetic and plays most of the day - usually by himself, but our other cat Bailey is slowly warming up to him and growing more interested/curious each day. He is ready and eager to play with her when she’s ready! He is still sleeping in his own bedroom but we have done a trial run sleeping with all of us one night and it went pretty well! Little more work to be done to get him (and Bailey) 100% adjusted but we’ve made lots of progress and have a very happy kitty on our hands. As you can see by the picture he is a big cuddle bug, we love him very much.

LAMB CHOP
Hi there! I'm Lamb Chop. I've had a rough few months, but now am safe and feeling good. You see, I was dumped at a high kill shelter in Florida because the landlord said my owners could no longer keep me. The shelter staff there had never seen a wedgie like me before and described me as having generalized muscle atrophy of the head. Hurmp! They just didn't know what they were looking at! Needless to say I would have been toast if Siamese Cat Rescue didn't go get me!

Well, any how, I'm now safe here in VA after having some medical treatment and a dental with the temp foster before I made my journey to VA. I love to be petted, have a BIG meezer voice when I have something to say, but meowmy says I'm I love bug, all 11 pounds of me. Not sure about other cats yet, so we'll have to wait a bit to see if I'd fit in a home with others, or if I need a person all to myself.

So for now, just ask about me we'll see how I'd fit into your household.

Purrs,

We hit a year tomorrow and send a fond thank you to SCR and the network which brought him to us. He is a smart male alpha which is a big change but pleasantly so. All is well and many thanks for all that you do.

Foster Notes

This cat is not suitable for children under the age of 5 (ie 5 and over is OK). This is typically a cat that is shy and a child might scare it, or one that has a potential to bite or play too hardNot with kids under 5
This cat will not tolerate being with a female cat. This is usually a female cat.Not with Female Cats
NATASHA
Nice little flame girl. Taken from a hoarding situation, so we don't think she would have experienced a great deal of individual attention. However she is receptive to petting and being touched.

Shine has a delightful loud purr. At the moment she is still shy in new surroundings and prefers to sit and watch rather than join in. But will likely warm up and adjust given time and ongoing socializing.

Litter box habits are good.

Now just looking for a patient, kind family to give her the confidence and love she deserves.

Notes from Home
5/19/19: It's been almost a week and Natasha (FKA Shine) is settling in nicely. She has not met Boris yet, but I let her out of my bedroom yesterday so that she could start familiarizing herself with the rest of my condo. She's still a little jumpy/skittish, but anytime I sit or lay down she is immediately on top of me asking for pets and making herself comfortable on my lap. She seems more wary of me when I'm standing up and walking around, making me wonder if she has been stepped on before and afraid of getting caught underfoot. She's very sweet, so far, so good! I'm uploading some pics.
5/26/19: Natasha met Boris two nights ago - she's been hissing alot at him so I've been keeping them separate at night, but just this morning I saw her approach Boris to touch noses without hissing, and she tolerated 5 seconds of him grooming her forehead, so I think there is hope :) Her vet appointment on Friday went well, but my vet wants her back for a dental procedure soon because she thinks that one of Natasha's front canines probably needs to be extracted (they'll take x-rays to confirm). She sank her claws into the side of my couch yesterday, so I've covered the most tempting places on my couch with towels/blankets and I'm going to work with her on appropriate scratching places next.
6/13/19: Natasha is still doing well and she stopped hissing at Boris after a few days. She discovered that she liked his grooming attention (why do all of her grooming herself when she can outsource it instead?) She did have two teeth pulled the week before last, and they are healing well. I also got her a horizontal cardboard scratcher which she seems to favor over the scratching posts. My only concern about her right now is that she gobbles up whatever food I put in front of her and I don't want her to overeat so I haven't been allowing her to free feed - she clearly has some issues/anxiety around food and I've ever had a cat with these issues before. One day she even stole an entire chicken breast off the kitchen counter that I had cooked and left out to cool off before storing it as leftovers (she didn't eat it, she dragged it to the bedroom and dropped it on the floor.)
