Just arrived. More information soon. (Picture from a few years ago - a bit larger now :) I am outgoing and friendly, I have lived with other cats and done fine. I will give a small nip if you get too overly zealous with your brushing, but otherwise I am great. A fluffier coat that would benefit from a little brushing, I love to be involved in whatever you are doing, and am good in all my habits!

First Meeting 4/27/19

We picked up Cooper...OMG he is Gorgeous and so friendly! He head butted my hand right away ...I LOVE HIM!! The center is amazing and Siri’s gardens and land is awesome!!
I am very grateful I was selected to adopt this amazing boy!!!
Well we have hit some massive traffic - But Cooper is a great traveler!
We let him stretch his legs and move a little when we pulled over! He went right back in - LOVE HIM!!!!
We will be home after 9😩but meeting you and adopting this glorious sweetheart was well worth it!!!

Day 1 4/28/19
Cooper did very well last night- he slept in his new bed, used litter box for poop/pee... but only ate a very little. This morning he didn’t really eat but he showed some interest, this afternoon he ate about a teaspoon and a few greenie treats. I know he is adjusting so I will keep fresh food available. (He ate this evening…some dry and a little wet…drank water.)
He has been growling a little but purrs as well, he did allow me to brush and hold him for a short time, I even got some biscuits and a good head to head butt!
He has not been hiding at all comes out if resting under my bed. As we know it will just take some time- Daphne cannot wait to meet him she is darting all over rolling around in joy- Willow not so much but she will come around! They love the laser...!

Day 2 4/29/18
Cooper is doing very well…..he is very affectionate and purrs up a storm. He loves the attention and really wants to explore rest of house. This evening I will put the girls in the other room and let hi explore a little…..I will wait for them to meet. However…no one is hissing anymore and they are equally as curious. Patience is best…..but somehow he seems like he is at home already. More later...went to work but leaving early....;-)
**Got the NIP...but it was very mild and I knew it was coming....I was combing him and he had enough...very gentle nip to tell me to stop. Cooper has a little dry spot above his right eye that he just started scratching...he has pulled some fur out and it is a little red. I have feline itch and dry skin spray so I put a little on to calm it...and will address with VET this week. He ate a little more wet but from a PLATE not a bowl....lol. Willow is still hissy when she smells brush or blanket....Daphne is so excited....Girls went in their room and Cooper explored the house- he was a little nervous so I just let him take his time...no hiding and he went back into his room and took a nap.

Day 3 4/30/19
Cooper continues to gain confidence, show gratitude and just be a lovely, lovely boy. He did meet Daphne by playing between/under the door and both were very funny and happy. Willow continues to take her time smelling and she too tried to play under the door…..but she didn’t last long. Cooper explored the house on his own for the second time in the late evening and seemed very excited and sniffed his way around. He is still grazing on mostly dry food-but he is eating and drinking water. He has only had one poop but pees normally…..He goes to the VET on Wednesday. As described- Cooper is a doll face, sweet as can be and very grateful to be back in a home. He does like to see everything I am doing and his head butts are strong and sincere. He is my/our boy and in my heart forever. So happy he is part of the family.

Day 4 5/1/19
So we had a little celebration this morning as it is Willow MAY day in the SCRC 2019 Calendar!! Cooper continues to do well...eating, drinking and all good habits. He explored his new home again and is feeling more comfortable. He and Daphne have been gently playing patty paw between the door; before bedtime when I opened the door they met quickly with a nose touch and a quick lick from Daphne....this relationship will be great. Willow continues to try to feel comfortable and is not hissing as much but I am still taking her slowly. Perhaps by Friday they can all meet with supervision. Cooper goes to the VET today at 4 so I will update...but I know he is healthy and happy, He is playing more, purring, very affectionate and still grazing but eating and sleeping in his bed.
Day 4 Continued

Cooper did great at the vet as expected. We will get his teeth cleaned end of June when school is out and he is over the move and all his new surroundings.
He is down to 11.5 so I am watching his eating - his right slightly red eye and above eye is from stress- his ears were a little red too - I will keep an eye on all.
Everyone came out to meet him from the vet techs to the receptionists to the other vet- they all thought he was fabulous. This group of animal people have been with me through the loss of my three fur siblings this past year - so they are thrilled/happy for me that I have three rescues -all healthy and amazing!
Both vets feel that Cooper is a Himalayan/Siamese Snowshoe - beautiful markings and personality.
I gave them a calendar and mentioned your book😻
i agree with Sheri I think he is a Birman too!!
Thanks again- we love him and he is perfect for us(Daphne loves him- Still working on Willow)!!

May 2-3 2019 Days 4,5
Cooper continues to feel more at home, He and Daphne played together and Daphne was grooming him as well. They touched noses and wrestled a bit. Daphne is like the best friend everyone wants. Willow continues to get used to the idea that a new cat is in the house and a male- no less. She is coming around but we are still going slow....they have only seen one another from afar....Cooper does not seemed fazed by her hissing and growling.
Coopers red spot above his eye has cleared up..all his habits are good...still working on finding a wet food he likes. He will eat wet food off my finger (I know this is not a good habit to start...but I think someone already started it...;-))...he is a grazer and still grazing.
Saturday Day 6 May 4 2019
Cooper met my grand niece and cat whisperer, Charlotte Lyn; it was an instant connection.
They played and loved-,he even rolled on his back for her! Char is very gentle and he enjoyed the interaction! Daphne and Cooper continue to bond, Willow is still a work in progress.
Cooper did hiss back at her this morning from across the room- they still have only seen one another and have not met.
Cooper is finally eating better but does prefer dry to wet.
He is drinking, purring, grooming and his habits are perfect.
He allows me to comb and brush him- and his fur remains soft and unmated.

MAy 7
Even as an experienced cat adopter/owner...this is my first time adopting an adult cat. Cooper has set patterns that will take sometime to change...like the free eating. They must have left dry out all day for him; I can not do this as Daphne will over eat. My two girls are on a schedule and with time- he will follow suit. He is very, very smart.....watches everything (prefers to be higher than you) and seems to take notes....! His tail is mostly held high....for a few days it was parallel to floor. He is very affectionate with head butts and nose kisses. Willow is doing better....soon all will be harmonious.

May 142019
Cooper and Willow continue to get to know one another. Cooper is being a gentleman and allowing Willow her space. Cooper is starting to eat more wet food on the same schedule as the girls. I continue to leave out the Natural Balance Fat Cat for him, the girls don’t really like it.
Cooper is an amazingly agile cat, he runs, pounces and plays like a kitten. He mainly interacts with Daphne and she is happy for the playmate. Willow joins in when I have the laser light….she still has her guard up but I see her armor fading.
Coopers face is fine…he still has a little white spot near his whisker but it is not red or growing.
He continues to let me brush him, is affectionate and sleeps in his Millie Bed next to Daphne on the side of my bed. He does not like any loud noise or sudden movements (no one does) but he seems much more at home and happy.
He is a wonderful addition to the family!

May 19 2019- Day 21

Well we are wrapping up the first three weeks with Cooper in his forever home. I had some concerns on Thursday thru Friday that Cooper wasn’t happy. I had a very long day on Thursday ( the first time I have been away longer than 6 hours) and he was withdrawn and under the bed. I realized the next day -that when I came home after a 13 hours school day- I fed them them but went for the vacuum and didn’t follow usual routine. He is just getting used to our routine and I messed up.
Friday when I came home I followed usual routine of playing, feeding, attention and more playing.
He seemed back to his content self. Sunday he is up on the bed laying next to me as I write- first time he has stayed longer than a few seconds -going on 20 minutes and I can’t move lol.
Willow has been better but still unsure. Cooper stays still and welcomes her she gets close but still it triggers an old fear I believe of male cats. This morning she bumped him out of his food bowl (no hissing)and he just backed off; she just came on bed touched his nose but hissed and ran off. He didn’t move, he knows the game and continues to give her time or ignores her. One of the marks on his face is definitely a scratch from Willow. They are clearing up as you can see from photo.
She is still affectionate, playful and fine with Daphne. I can see her relaxing ( I did get Feliway) just a bit but I don’t feel they will ever bond.
Daphne just loves everyone so Cooper does play with her and they have curled up together in their Millie beds as well.
Cooper and Willow would have probably been fine as only cats , but Daphne loves other cats, people and dogs- she is definitely the peace and love maker.
I am pleased with Coopers progress, getting to know him and he me. He is very smart, agile and can be silly believe it or not!! He loves the new condo and looking out the window, plays soccer with Daphne, loves my niece Holly- habits are good - still working on finding a nutritious food that he likes. His long hair does not shed as much as I first thought with daily brushing!

My name is Becca, and I'm a Siamese Rescue alumnae. I graduated around this time in 2011 when I was about 4-5 years old. I had a happy life with my meown for another five wonderful years. But time hasn't been kind us - she had to return me when life got hard, and we were both heartbroken to be separated. So here I am again, a little older, a little more grumbly, but just as sweet, curious and healthy as ever. As soon as I visit with the Vet, I'll be ready to start my next chapter with YOU.

My sweet ZIVA(Becca) crossed the Rainbow Bridge in Feb 2018. She had a wonderful 2 years and I miss her very much

Aren't I the cutest little boy you have seen? My brother little Ricky goes home with me. We are a pair.

Wow I am growing up here. My brother and I are ready to go home but where is our home going to be? Is it with you?

UPDATE: Well the decision has been made. My brother and I can go our own way. As long as we have a kitten or very young cat to play with me I will be OK.

Take a look at our new video. Thanks, Oliver

Foster Notes

Notes from Home
I have changed his name to Samuel (Sammy) Dickens. This little boy needs a full and complete name because of his behavior.....He will get into everything and anything that isn't tacked down. But he is the sweetest little boy when he wants to be and has really adjusted great. He is trying to win over my older cats attention by coming up and batting him across the head. I think he thinks he is going to be the alpha cat of the house. Yoshie looks at him, and says, yeah right!!!!. They are very funny to watch. Sammy is very intelligent and knows right from wrong now, but he will try to see how far he can go without me stepping in. When I first got him, he was a scratcher and a biter but now he knows that is wrong. I can pick him up now and cuddle with him, without him having a hissy fit, so he has come a long way. He has also gotten a clean bill of health from the vet and we are all just one big happy family.

June 8, 2014 - Sammie is still trying to be the alpha cat and really tries my older cat, Yoshies' patience. He actually jumps on him and bites him. Yoshie hasn't figure out how to make him stop, he just runs to me and says, Mom make him stop. Sammie, still has some biting issues but he is 95% better than he was. He know that biting is bad but he just gets so excited when he is playing I think he forgets. This little fellow has such a great personality, he doesn't like to cuddle like my other two but he gives me so much love in other ways. When he needs to be petted or cuddled he runs up to me and lifts his two front paws to the sky and wants me to pick him up. We cuddle for 5 seconds and he is off and running again.

09/21/14 - Sammy has turned out to be the most loving cat. HIs biting is almost gone. He wants to be picked up and cuddled and is always following me around to figure out what I am doing. He will sit in my office with me and watch me work and loves to walk all over my papers. Sometimes he just plops down on top of them and goes to sleep. He and Romeo are still best of buds and are always playing and running through the house. Sammy is the inquisitive one. He loves to explore and find different things he can get into. I have to watch him like a hawk though because he can get into trouble. I came home from the store and he didn't greet me like usual. I started calling for him and looking for him and found he went into the bathroom and shut the door and then locked himself in. Door stop now installed.

12/08/15 - Sammy still attacks Yoshie and I can't get him to stop that. Yoshie has arthritis now and is in no mood for some young kid jumping on his back and biting him. Yoshie won't stand up to him so that battle continues. I just try to make sure that Yoshie has a safe space to run to and then Sammy will back off and leave him alone. Sammy is a very loving cat on his own terms and he just loves to get into trouble. He knows what is right and wrong but will get very defiant in his quest to be bad. When I go after him to scold him, he just laughs at me and runs like the dickens, that he is, and thinks he is king cat. His personality is so amazing. He keeps me hopping, that's for sure. His biting is now gone. When we play and he gets excited and he thinks he needs to bite, I say no, and he runs and gets a toy and brings it back so I can throw it for him. We play catch a few dozen times and then he settles down and becomes a calm sweet little boy again. I have never had a cat that has a much energy as this little guy. I have dubbed him "MY WILD CHILD"

12/10/16-Sammy is still my Wild Child. This baby has more energy than I have ever seen in any cat that I have ever had.. Sammy is definitely a trouble maker and still into everything. And the bad part is, he teaches Romeo all of his little tricks. After getting a washer and dryer delivered I went to check it out and hear this noise coming from it. Yep you guessed it. Sammy jumped off of the sink down behind the washer and now can't get out. I thought to myself, what do I do, call 911? Thank goodness I was able to reach him and pull him out of there. This boy is always in trouble. Talk about child proofing your house, I can't seem to do enough. Just when I think I have it all under control, he finds something else. He is still my little lover, when he wants to be, but only when he wants it. That's my SAMMY!!!!!

Hi! I'm Pete. Are you looking for a sweet, lovable guy? I like to talk a little. I get to drooling when you pet me because I just love attention so much! I'm good in my litter box. I like to eat canned food. Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE attention?
My foster Meom is still getting to know me, not sure yet if I like the other cats. But I've been with another cat so she thinks I like the other guys.
Stay tuned for more updates from my meommy!

Notes from Home
Captain just had his vet visit today and got sent home with a clean bill of health! The high pollen count was seen in stool and his right ear was a little moist. Going to keep an eye on that and maybe get some kind of filter for a little bit. He's been adjusting rather well! Yesterday, he decided it wasn't that scary having both Cathy and myself in the room and came out for 2 times the pets. He's getting super curious about whats outside the door, so he'll be more than ready to see the rest of the house and integrate with Tarra. No reaction from switching beds with Tarra, sniffed and laid in it. He's eating very well, and drinking too! Steady litter visits, looking good there. See attached photo for happy paws :D

I am the first cat on the first page for a very good reason - because I am PICKY about my forever Maw or Paw! I'm not interested in a kitten, too many wild shenanigans. Not interested in a geezer either, I've got many years ahead of me and want to share all of them with one person. Male or female is fine, I don't mind, I like both. Color is not important, but personality is key. Must be intelligent, witty, patient and kind; love lap sitting, playing, good food and soft music. Panic Mouse included. Notes from Home
Update: Vera (VA3015) went to Cat Heaven in February 2019. We spent more than 14 years of contentment together. She didn't like many people, but she was perfect for me. Loud Meezer voice, strong purr, talkative, and intelligent. She excelled at lap-sitting and sleeping on my head at night. She congratulated herself for appearing in the 2016 calendar, suitable for her diva personality.

My gratitude to Siamese Rescue for giving Vera another chance is immeasurable and much outweighs my sadness at losing her. I am honored and thankful that I was able to be her "fur-ever" person. xo

Hello! I am so glad to be in Siamese Rescue, I am getting a new start in life, including learning how to walk and jump again since I now have had my leg amputated and now I can be free of the cumbersome limb. I am outgoing and loving, the whole package if I do say so myself.

Love & Purrs,

Notes from Home
May 7, 2019: Erasmo has now been with us for four glorious years! He is something else. He loves to sleep either with our son or on someone's pillow above their head and purr at top volume. He has become a very fluffy boy since he has moved in with us and has a gorgeous coat and tail. He gets around beautifully with three legs and zips around the house at top speed. For anyone who has any doubts about a three-legged cat, Erasmo is definitely a success story. We adore him and are so glad he is part of our family!

March 16, 2017: Happy Two Year Anniversary to Erasmo! He is doing fabulous. He is absolutely gorgeous and has a thick beautiful coat. He loves his human brother and sleeps on his pillow every night. We adore home!!

March 16, 2016: Erasmo is a a wonderful part of our family. He is definitely a quirky cat but he is very smart and loves looking out the window chirping at birds. He is very bonded to our son and runs and crashes into him while he is playing on the floor. He has turned into an absolutely gorgeous cat. He has much longer fur than when he arrived and a beautiful fluffy tail! He purrs and loves to be held like a baby. I call him Kramer because he runs into a room like him and has that same crazed look on his face. We love him dearly and are so glad he is part of our family!!

September 14, 2015: Wow! It has been 6 months since this crazy cat entered our lives. Erasmo is a terrific cat. He is nuttier than a fruitcake but he has been an amazing companion for our autistic son. They are two peas in a pod and love each other. He has become a gorgeous cat with the must thick luxurious coat. He gets into all sorts of mischief and begs to go into the sun room to look at the birds and squirrels. We love him so much and enjoy is silly quirky ways.

April 17, 2015: Erasmo is fully integrated into our family. He is sweeter than we could have imagined. He loves his human brother and sleeps in his room with him. Erasmo and Shrimpycat are still trying to work things about but they are slowly getting there. 99% of the time, they are fine but once in a while, they talk at each other and let each other know what's what. He is extremely playful and loves to bat around his ball. He loves to watch birds out the window . Whenever someone comes to the door, he readily greets them with a meow and the expectation that they will pick him up. Because he had all of his rear leg and part of his pelvis removed, he as an interesting way of running. He almost uses the back leg like a paddle and pushes himself along. He almost reminds me of a beaver. It does not slow him down at all. We love him so much. He is a fabulous family cat: social, talkative, playful, loving, and sweet. He definitely has a frisky side and is pretty silly. He has taken over Sven's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/svenvikingcat?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

I feel that I should write in all caps because ERASMO IS SO SWEET AND AWESOME!!! He is settling in well in the guestroom and is eating, drinking, etc. He loves to snuggle and seems to purr nonstop. If one of us tries to leave the room, he attempts to trip us so that we stay with him. With three legs, he still likes to play with toys. He jumps on the bed with ease and gets around fine. He is not fully coordinated when he tries to move quickly but he is figuring it out. We love him so much already!

Simba has become quite comfortable in his new home. He and his sister Aggie have started playing together as of today. He is such a lover and a big part of our family.

I've attached a picture of Aggie as well, which was taken on a day that she wasn't too sure about the new guy.

Happy Meowloween!

Simba passed away on April 10, 2019 due to complications from his asthma. We have never been so heartbroken at the loss of a fur baby as this one. We would love to find another one that looked and acted just like he did.

Notes from Home
April 28, 2018
After a very long journey (7.5 hour)...Willow Nina arrived at her forever home in Westbury, NY. She was a trooper the entire time. Willow was a happy to be in her safe room, where she used the litter box and explored. She ate, drank and played. She never hid or withdrew albeit she was on guard at times and rightly so. We bonded immediately, I allowed her time to rest and relax -which she did in her new Millie bed. Thank you to everyone involved in her rescue, for the amazing goody bag and all the support during our journey. I will slowly introduce Willow to my 14 year old Seal, Lily over the next few days.
So happy to have Willow home and settling in!!!

May 2, 2018
Willow continues to gain confidence and become more comfortable. When I am home- Willow is out of the safe room to explore and play. Lily is trying to engage but Willow is still unsure and hisses and swipes at Lily. Lily will hiss back but walks away....I continue to share out the pads with each ones scent. Willow is eating, using litter box, playing and affectionate. She does not like to be hugged/petted or picked up when on her side.... learning about her daily.

May 3 2018
Willow has a little polyp in her nose that is inflamed so that’s why she is horse and has a little snort. Vet gave her a long lasting antibiotic to make sure there is no upper respiratory issue. It may just be allergies.
I will just watch her for 14 days and hope it settles down. She weighs 7.2 pounds and is in great health otherwise. Vet feels she is younger than 9 months- more like 6-7 months and two of her top incisors have come in.
Willow is still in her safe room while I am at work but out the rest of the evening and overnight.

She is adjusting nicely and slowly gaining confidence. She and Lily have touched noses- Lily is very sweet to her-but she still has her guard up... last night she took a stance to Lily and started to swipe and went into attack mode. Lily left immediately without incident. Willow has some issues with trust with other cats that we need to work on carefully and patiently. Albeit she is affectionate and very, very silly. Love her!
Thanks all-

May 7,2018
Busy weekend and Willow went with the flow. She was sweet and calm when she met my niece Holly (8) and played with her gently. Lily has been sitting and waiting for Willow to come to her and they touched noses again with no hissing. Willows allergies are better she is snorting less often and her meow is back. She continues to eat, sleep, play and use the litter box normally. She is comfortable in her new home and she finds a cozy place to sleep or look out the window in every room. Today is the first day she will have free run of the house while I am at school....I have no concerns at all.
It has been 7 full days and it is like she has always been here!

May 9 2018- Day 10
Willow is back in her safe room while I am at school. I felt it best for Lily to not be stressed by Willow without me there. Lily wants to play with her but without the swiping. Willow is catching on and we all played for about 30 minutes straight the last few nights with no hissing or swiping. Then they both slept near one another without incident. I need to keep repeating this pattern for another few days until it is rote. Willow is a really sweet girl she is affectionate to me all the time and loves her Wellness wet food.... Willow and Lily are a positive work in progress with patience and TLC we will all prevail.

May 12, 2018
Willow and Lily are bonding nicely...I took the advice of Sheri and Debi and slowed down the process and now they play tag and fetch (sort of) eat and rest together....if I am gone for over 4 hours I still separate them...but when they meet again they touch noses and there is no longer any hissing. Love this little girl Willow and I am so proud of my old gal Lily for making room in her gentle heart for Willow.

Everyone is doing very well. Willow is right at home and her guard is completely down. She is a pleasure and a love-I am so happy to have her. She is much kinder to Lily, as Lily has always been kind to her....so she is learning from her elder. Thank you all again....I absolutely love her.

We finally got to the bottom of Willows hoarse meow and the mucus in her throat....she has seasonal asthma from the tree pollen. She had an Albuterol treatment and a steroid injection after an x-ray and it cleared up. She was mouth breathing a little on Sunday so I took her to the ER and after treatment she was better. Her meow is high pitched and mellow but much stronger and there is no hoarseness.
She goes back on Tuesday for a follow up. She was actually acting normal...but the panting (albeit it was only a few times) is a sign of distress so off we went.
She and Lily are getting along pretty well....Willow can still be "play" aggressive but Lily just backs away. She continues to eat, play use the litter box normally and seems right at home. She has her favorite spots in the house and continues to be super affectionate and hilarious. Love her!!

So it has been one month since Willow came home....she has been an absolute delight. Last night at her asthma check up the Vet almost stole her from me....every single person that works at the Vets office came to see her. She was the star of the day at the Vet. The Vet told me I was very lucky to have rescued and adopted such a precious cat and I just smiled and agreed. Willows spring induced asthma is under control and will only need medication if her symptoms get worse. She also had an additional stool test just to rule out any parasites in her intestines....even tho she was previously treated at foster with Debbi. Willow is very smart, brave and such a love muffin....you can not help but fall in love with her at first sight.

UPDATE-Stool clear no parasites...Meow is back...the snort comes more from her throat and it is the way she communicates and purrs….she has many expressive sounds that I am getting used too….so I will just rest easy and enjoy her!!

Willow continues to develop into a most loving, smart and silly girl. She is full of personality and cuteness. We just love her!

We are beginning the process of finding Willow a young brother...Willow is right at home and loves to play and wrestle...she is just 1 and still full of kitten power. Willow is here 3 months now and ready to accept a little brother. Lily (15) is kind and loving but will only tolerate playing and wrestling so much. I am off the month of August and looking forward to finding the right little/young guy.
Lily passed away 8/16/18-heart broken....Willow and I are simply heartbroken.
3/5/19 Willow has a new sister...Daphne. Both are doing wonderfully.....they play, eat, sleep together, Both are on a limited diet with a probiotic, which helps Willow with her allergies and Daphne with her sensitive stomach!

May 2 2019....
Willow has been home for a year and she has been a wonderful girl. It has taken her sometime to adapt to all the changes....the loss of our beloved Lily and the addition of Daphne and Cooper. Willow and Daphne are bonded now and we are working on Cooper. I had a thought that I will run by you.....Willow was pregnant at 7 months and the kittens were aborted during her spray....do you think she may need extra time with Cooper because he is a male? She was not as hissy when meeting either female. She has not been with Cooper yet, only has seen him from a distance and I have shared his scent/blanket with her. She has not changed her attitude towards me or Daphne and all her other behaviors are fine. I think you will probably tell me some cats just take longer than others. I will continue to be patient with my girl....and I am sure it will all work out...it is only 5 days....(Daphne is good with Cooper and Willow)

After re-reading all my notes....it is just going to take Willow time to adjust.....she does the best she can and I will continue to give her love and special attention.

Just in and I have a little shelter cold.. Right now I love for meowm to hold me and she says I am very easy to medicate and feed. Meowmy says I am sweet as can be. More information and pictures coming soon! Sorry for the delay on the pictures. Meowmy says she is having peripheral problems - whatver that means, but I do know it means she cannot get my pictures loaded on to her computer to get them to you. Looks like it is going to take a professional to fix this problem But hey - take a chance! I am a darling sweet lynxie gir and I am feeling much better and ready to quit this isolation stuff! I need a playmate!

Tinker Bell was a wonderful companion for me for almost 14 years. I recently lost her and am heartbroken and am looking for a kitten or young cat to replace her. I cannot put into words how much she brought into my life and how much I miss her.

Notes from Home
So it has been a week since we brought Tippy home to her new house. We were originally thinking that it was going to take a few weeks for her to come out of her shell but she was interacting on the second day. She stayed in her carrier for the first day and explored her play area on the first day. On the second day, she came out more and was walking around. That evening, we were watching TV and she kept meowing in protest as she wanted to be with us. I opened the area and she joined us in the living room after exploring some of the other areas. She then laid down and rubbed against the carpet.

I bought three different kitty hideaway beds and she hasn’t used any of them. I tried using catnip but she doesn’t seem to respond to it. I tried spraying it on several things and she could care less. I figured that it might be the brand and got a couple of different types but she hasn’t responded to any of them either. She likes to sleep on the top perch of HER cat tree when nobody is home. It is brand new and only has her scent on it so she loves it. Tippy has recently started sleeping at the end of the bed and cuddling with us when we go to bed.

As far as food and water, she likes the Blue Buffalo dry food but wet food is a little bit trickier. She likes her wet food like a soup. She is not very fond of chunks, flakes or strips. A nice watery pate and she will gobble it up. Tippy wasn’t drinking a lot of water either and one day when we were doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, the faucet was left on a trickle and she got underneath it and drank like a fish. Since she only likers running water, we bought a CatIt fountain and will see if she likes it.

Tippy is fickle with wand toys. She plays with some and swats at them but it doesn’t really hold her interest. I had a really thick lace from a duffel bag and she went nutz over it. She loves a thick lace, a thin rope and lasers. When you get them out, she starts chittering and booty shaking before attacking them. Tippy is really active late at night which is perfect as I am usually home at midnight from work and we play then. Tippy cuddles a lot now and doesn’t hide anymore however this weekend will be the test as my daughters are staying the weekend. This will be the first time other people are in the house.

I took Tippy for her vet visit to meet the doctor. She was an absolute champ. No growling, hissing, hiding or anything else. The vet was VERY impressed and stated that she was one of the best, if not The Best, kitties that she has examined. We are scheduled for the one year checkup barring any issues throughout the year.

5-1-17 So my daughters came over for the weekend and I was anticipating Tippy would be hidden the whole weekend......wrong!! Friday was adjustment day and when I came home in Saturday, Tippy was at the end of the recliner at my daughters feet stretched out lol. She likes kids that are 12ish and older. The CatIt fountain came in and a HUGE HIT. I have a 2 minute of her drinking from it lol.

10-03-17 Tippy has flourished and is a wonderful kitty. So her favorite toys are the small furry worms and the furry snakes with a small bell in them. when she hears the bell she comes a running. She also loves lickable wet food. She will eat some food that has chunks but a lot of it is wasted. I have blended it and she loves it. She also loves the Milly Bed in the window as her favorite bed and favorite spot.

Yesterday (10-2-17) she had some yellow crusties in the sclera of her left eye. It was wiped off and no problems. When we arrived back home this morning, Tippy greeted us at the door but she had her left eye closed and kept messing with it. We immediately brought her to the doctor and she has a superficial ulcer on her Cornea which was most likely from dust or something. Her nictitating membrane also had inflammation and a small scratch to it from her messing with it. Nothing serious according to the Dr but we have some antibiotic that we are giving her and have a checkup on Friday. Tippy is a FAVORITE at the doctors office. She is always so calm and patient with the exams. The doctor put drops in and even had to pull the nictitating membrane away to check behind it and Tippy didn't growl or even flinch. What a great kitty.

Just wanted to send an update, We went back to the Kitty Doc for a followup and we caught the ulcer way in the beginning stages and she healed perfectly with the antibiotic. The ulcer is gone but the nick on her nictitating membrane (third eyelid) will be permanent. No problems though, it gives her character =).

4/5/2018 - Tippy had recently went to the vet and had her yearly checkup. She is doing great. The vets office always loves seeing her as she is so soft with a beautiful coat. They even take her around to see the other folks. As far as home updates, Tippy has a romp cube that she loves. She runs and plays inside of it constantly. We bought it almost 6 months ago and she didn’t really show any interest and then BOOM, now it is her favorite toy. We also bought some Kitty grass. She loves to do little chomps on it but really enjoys it. Any of the fresh grass works. She is still not fond of the Catnip plants though. Her other favorite toy remains to be the fuzzy worms and regular sting. She likes the occasional blended lickable wetfood but could take it or leave it. We have maintained a healthy weight and she is still doing great.

4-19-2017 – We have moved into a new house. We cleared out all the furniture out of the old house and set it up in the new house before brining Tippy there. This made her nervous. She was very vocal and when we were at the old house she would stay very close. She came to the new house and wandered around to get her bearings but all the smells were the same so she was cool.

We have established that Tippy will only eat Blue Buffalo food. We have tried to see if there was anything else but that is a NO. We tried by the slow method of mixing a little with her food and she wasn’t having it. If her Blue Buffalo is tainted with anything, she won’t eat it. Wet food is more diverse. It has to be blended or she is not a fan and you will waste it. Her favorite is the Delectables Bisque. She has ONE every morning for breakfast and her BB for the rest of the day. ***Note, I had some Vienna Sausages and went to the bathroom and when I came back, her face was in my can. No idea what that is about but we don’t feed her table food and she doesn’t like it anyway……….except I guess Vienna Sausages lol.

She also had her vet checkup a couple of weeks ago. She is still in great health. All her labs and stuff came back as normal. I had done the Major Test on her first visit to check for everything and so we had it on file. She is the same exact weight as a year ago (-.08 lbs). She has a fabric cat carrier (spoiled) and when other animals approach she doesn’t seem to mind them.
I had watched/bordered my eldest daughter’s cats (2) for about a week and they stayed in the finished section of the basement (playroom/movieroom). Even though there was a door between them, Tippy had a chance to sniff and didn’t seem to care. The door was open a few times and she came down and was more curious as to who they were. I have yet to see her growl, hiss, or get mad/scared at anything. We have been leaving the window open and she likes to sit on a tray table and look out but has little interest in other animals. She will watch the birds and stuff but nothing major.

Tippy loves to go under the covers and lay between your legs if you are sitting or lying on your back. If you are sitting on a recliner or you have your legs bridged creating a little tent, she will head butt to get into the tent and will hang out there. She still plays with her toys and laser light. She absolutely loves her Cat Dancer Original Cat Toy. It is a wire with cardboard at the end and can be found anywhere. She will play with it more than anything and if you have it adjusted high enough she starts to jump. She is always purring but runs when new people come into the house. She has let my landlord pet her a few times but then walk away like “that’s enough for you”.
