Notes from Home
Keeko has been home with us for two weeks and he is doing wonderfully. He is a cat with loads of energy and a huge personality to match. We have two other resident cats that he has recently met and all are doing well. Within the first minutes home he came out of his crate and rolled around on the floor wanting scratches and then quickly wanting to play. He got home at around 8PM and by 8:30 was chasing toys around with my 6 year old - Sam. We finally got Sam in bed at around 10PM (too excited about new kitty) and Keeko crawled up to the pillow and settled down. Sam was over the moon.

We were expecting a feisty kitty with character that can be easily overstimulated and that’s exactly the kitty that came home to us. We were prepared with toys of all kinds, especially long wand toys to keep distance from hands. Over the two weeks with the help of a very willing little boy, it is clear that if Keeko has enough play-time and exercise, he is also a very loving and affectionate kitty that sleeps on your bed and enjoys being held. When he starts any of his “mouthy” behavior, we have toys all over that we grab to encourage biting the toy instead. We have a lot of vertical space in our house, and Keeko LOVES to run up and down – up and down – either chasing after a toy, or more recently, chasing after Posy, our 4 year old kitty. After a few rounds it is unclear who is chasing who, but they generally end up lying down a few feet from each other when tired out. Keeko did try to chase our older tortie girl, and quickly figured out he didn’t want to do that again. He now gives her plenty of space! 

With all of his energy we have decided to take some hints from Jackson Galaxy and have ordered the Catification book so that we can build some more vertical space for the kitties. It looks like a lot of fun for everyone!

Keeko is definitely a handful and we love every bit of him!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We just celebrated Keeko's one month anniversary. He is settling in and doing great. He found his favorite chair in the house and claimed it for himself...he also matches the chair. :)

Keeko likes to be where the action is....during the daytime when the kids are at school it is quiet here. He is always with me, following from floor to floor. The funny part is, now the other two cats also follow so I usually have two to three cats around my feet. When the kids come home, they disperse. Keeko has strongly bonded with Sam. Sam comes home from school around 3:30 and they do laps around the living room and kitchen. After school, Keeko goes where Sam goes. He still gets overstimulated and goes into attack mode, but he can be quickly redirected. We all like a little mischief in our cats and appreciate his energy...he has added a lot to our household.

One month in and he is just one of the family now. He has a few spats here and there with his feline companions, but nothing much. Our older tortie often thinks Keeko needs a bath, and when Keeko doesn't comply, she will swat him into order. Eventually she gets the job done.

He also has a very soft and sweet side. I can pick him up and he just goes limp....so snuggly, purring, and tolerating being held longer and longer. :)

Wow - we cannot believe it has been six months since Keeko came to be with us. He is an amazing part of our family and we are so grateful to everyone for making this happen. He LOVES to wear his harness and leash and walk around the backyard and go moth hunting. The neighbors all love him and kids always ask when Keeko will be going for his walk that day so they can come out and give him a smooch on the head. He is a very active and inquisitive kitty, he gets along famously with his sister Posy, and we are just in love him him! :)

NOAH
HELP MY MOM!!!!!! She's falling love with me!

New to this place, I am a bit overwhelmed but calm with the changes. Now that I have a clean bed, pampered self with clean nails and ears, I'm liking the diet and quiet times. Foster meowm comes and gives me pets. I am quickly learning that kisses and cuddles and snuggles aren't so bad. In fact, I temporarily lose my mind at least once a day and purr up a storm when mom loves on me. Maybe this human thing isn't so bad, after all.

I'll be ready for me new home shortly. If you are looking for a well behaved gentle boy, ask about me. I'd like to go home with gentle feline friends and a patient adopter who will keep reassuring me that every time I get petted, it's still good. Can you do that?

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
When my Meowmy asked about me, she was told I would be very shy and probably not a people cat. So, she tried very hard to be patient and let me come out of my shell. She now calls me her teddy bear. I always have to touch her when she is sleeping, and when she tosses and turns, I lay down on her pillow around her head, put my head on her head and purr. She goes right to sleep. See how good my training of her has been? I eat well and really enjoy my Greenie treats that are good for my teeth. I have a very good vet who focuses just on cats. When I get my shots, I hide my head in my Meowmy's arm. But I don't like the kitty carry. I cry and cry when she carries me out to her car (making her neighbors very worried) but as soon as I get in the car, I am just fine. When my Meowmy is home, I have to sleep near her, except when I am really tired, and then I go to my favorite sleeping spot under the sofa where I can hear what she's up to, but I can get some good beauty sleep. She massages my paws and my neck....purr. I found just my right person, but she's always in the process of being trained. We lost our favorite roommate Juliette, who I have been trying to find but Meowmy said it's ok...she will find us again someday. Thanks for sending me such a trainable person who loves meezers.

CHARLIE
Quite noisy high energy lovely boy who likes to eat just a bit too much and loves to play. Looking for a high energy home to match me! I love to play, love to romp, and love to talk (quite loudly I might say!) There are no out of bounds for me, I'm a climber, investigator and explorer. Looking for a busy home to keep up with me!

Charlie can be Mezzer express on March 1,2014. He was then named Grahm, however he needed a "C"name. With the help of my entire family ( we are all long time Siamese loversll). His highness ...Sir Charles of Love..Charlie,.came into our lives and owned our heart! He is beautiful, loving, and talks to tell you so. He was the third fur baby, and so I was worried how everyone would fit . Thank goodness for my volunteer Joann ( now... Refered to as Godmother,) we had someone to email and talk to right at the tip of a fingers. I do believe that Siamese Cat rescue has a whole bunch of earth angels looking over us.
My major worry was I had two Maltese dogs which are also very important. The Mommy dog, Barbie was my Mom's and she became mine after my Mom passed 2009. I have Barbie's baby Annie.
My Mom had Cats so was not worried if they would like Charlie, but pRaye he would like him. By adopting him luckily he was dog tested!
So the fun begins. Charlie is and the dogs play sleep and eat together! Charlie be lives that they. Wag
There tail just for his entertainment! He will talk to them should they want to lay in the sun. ...in his spot or chair.
To make a long story short I am so grateful for all the love. And help we have received from Siamese Cat rescue! Thank you! :) ♡ EnJOY! Sincerely, Joy

ODIE
Love is all I need! I just love to love you! I want to sit in your lap and let you admire my soft silky coat and get lots of pets. I don't even mind if you have other cats. I will be ready to go home Labor Day weekend. Won't you make me your labor of love?
Notes from Home
Odie is just a ham. He loves to snuggle and doesn't resist dislodging a book or a magazine to get at my lap. What a cutie!!

2 yr Anniversary update - Odie just keeps getting bigger! We bought a "doggie couch" for the cats and as you can see by the latest pics he takes up the whole thing! What a sweetie though!

3 Yr Anniversary update - Odie has now topped out at 17 pounds! He "fills" a bin we were packing some summer things away in! New pics attached.

Update 4/3/15 - Odie is doing great! He's a very healthy 18 pounds now, definitely my BIG sweet boy! New pic of him with his bright blue eyes for this year. He's definitely become the most beautiful!

Update: 5 Year anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 years! The boys just recently had their first dental which was not so fun. Odie had a broken tooth so it had to be extracted, he's also developed feline acne. I had NO IDEA there was even such a thing. He's on the mend from both and is now a VERY BIG BOY at 18 pounds! Bo has stayed at 14 and he's in terrific health, no issues with his teeth. New pics uploaded for both beautiful boys!

BO
Hard day at work? Come and tell Ronaldo all about it. I am a lady's man and I love to love you baby. I want to sit in your lap and have even been known to give hugs on occasion. Pet my nice, soft silky fur and feel your days cares and worries melt away. I am in home therapy for stress. So if you are tired of living alone, than ask about me.

Notes from Home
They are doing so great! Bo's eye cleared up and we are giving the lysine as part of their regular "treat". He has also developed a lion's mane that is very becoming! They are VERY spoiled. While Bo is clearly the alpha, he allows Odie to steal his toys constantly.

2 Yr Anniversary update: The boys and Pippin are still doing wonderfully! Some new pics are attached.

3 Yr Anniversary update: The boys are full GROWN now with Odie topping 17 pounds!! Bo is a more reasonable 13 pounds. Pippin has come out of her shell and at all of 9 pounds has come into her own and does not mind putting either brother in his place if it warrants it. :)

Update 4/3/15 - both boys are doing wonderfully. Bo is now 14 pounds and just as precocious as ever! He's definitely the alpha but his sister still can sometimes put him in his place. He definitely loves his cat tree! New pic attached!

Update: 5 Year anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 years! The boys just recently had their first dental which was not so fun. ZURI
Shy, but with potential, I just need someone to show me the ropes, and I bet I can sail right into your home!
Notes from Home
Hi Siri, David and Everyone! 1 Year Aug 24th! Zuri has come a long way:)) She loves full petting now! and demands quite vocally when she wants me to come in and lay down on the comfy bed and pet her when she wants xoxo. We snuggle awww. She loves me petting her face, back, belly - yes belly but there are still some rules gol, I am working on footsies - still not all that happy there. She does a lot of kneading. Zuri is now eating treats - I guess she decided that no one is trying to trick her with it lol. She goes to the top tier of the cat house, hangs on the desk when the window is open to watch the dog. She loves jingly noisy balls on the wood floor...especially at night! She loves the cat arch, and her scratching ramp. She is the MOST vocal cat I have ever had. She literally answers you every time you speak to her. She sings loudly from yonder like a whale song ....hard to believe from such a small kitty - it is great:)) we love it even the dog! The hush puppy wants to be friends but she is just watching him. She hops over the gate when she wants to but it's ok no rush there. It's funny you look back to when you couldn't even get close to her and now she loves to snuggle. Very much the creature of habit. We have our kitty and me times thru the day. We do a lot of talking to each other. She is funny, doesn't like to be seen doing her cat things when she is alone haha. Still very good with cat box, furniture, absolutely no problems there. The only trouble is getting her in cat carrier. She has to go to vet for yearly now and I am having trouble. She remembers the last time oh dear. But she LOVED Dr. Tipone. She still has old ghosts - certain movements I guess remind her of her past life. But they are going away. She doesn't sing that sad tale of woe anymore. I think incredible progress so far. She whaps sometimes but we talk about that not being nice and no one ever going to hurt her. I say are we still friends? and she runs over. She knows "come here" and comes over to hug:) the waps are not very often now. She loves to do a love bite here and there. So any suggestions on getting her going with carrier I would appreciate it. Tried everything:( I have to say she is really coming into her own this past couple of weeks with her personality. It's funny how you go along and then all of a sudden huge step forward. I even get a head butt or a kiss now from her awww xoxo! Pics coming over next. I have a wonderful video will try to send. Beth and Zuri :))
_______
It's been a month and Zuri is doing WONDERFUL! She didn't know what toys were but now loves playing with her cat dancer, her mice and ball. She loves to watch what we are doing and is talking. She loves to explore the house now and is making herself at home. Zuri still has a 'no touch' vibe but she is getting close to wanting us to pet her. I sneaked one in when she playing and she wasn't sure what happened gol. She likes to do things when she thinks we are not looking gol. I have awakened in the morning to find things moved around gol! I heard her full speed run throughout the house too. We had visitors and she came out of her room on her own to look. Zuri loves her new Daddy and has eaten out of his hand. She is still timid at times and retreats under the bed but she has made huge progress.

ELVIS
Hi there!

Just a sweet little guy looking for a home. I definitely need a fur friend. I love my siblings and would miss them terribly if I were all alone with just people. I like to be snuggled and kissed too.

Very social, fun, and sweet. What's not to love? I had my vet exam last week and I am ready to go home!!

Love, Johnny
Notes from Home
Elvis is doing great. He enjoys playing with his feather and mice toys. He loves to eat which made it easier when we moved him to the cat station and he was fed with his food hoarder sister, Lucy. He made the transition to the new liter box location with out any issues. He is such a lovely cat and is now starting to come lay on our lap.

Thank you again for all your help.

Elizabeth

Notes from Home
We've affectionately nicknamed Bartholomew "Trouble". He is a very active, excited kitten who eats anything he finds on the floor, and loves to chew on everything else - including boxes, blankets, Matt's desk chair, and every wire he can find. He's particularly active at bedtime, vigilantly attacking toe-monsters. He's very affectionate (when you can get him to sit still) and incredibly vocal (Matt and I compare the sounds he makes to a bird - very twitter-y, and super-cute). He loves his sister more than anything, and follows her wherever she goes.

COBALT
Look into my deep Cobalt eyes...are you smittened yet? It does not take me long to get everyone wrapped around my paws. I have a little growing to do, but I'm soon going to be checking my inbox to see if anyone has asked about me.

Are you looking for a baby like me? I'm not too demanding :) However, I do demand that my brother Bondi come home with me cause I just love him to pieces!

Purrs,
Cobalt
Notes from Home
Percy and Cobalt here. We have been in our forever family for one year and ten days now. We are doing really well. We love to spend time on the screened in porch and look at the birds and squirrels. We also had so much fun with this tree our family put into the living room. It had lots of shiny things hanging on it. We have our own cat tree by the large sunroom window and spend lots of time sleeping on it. We love love love to be petted, even on our bellies, and we love to play. Sometimes we race around the house and jump up on all the furniture and chase each other and sometimes we even wrestle. Cobalt with three legs is super agile and can do anything he wants. And Percy is the kind of the house. We both talk a lot and everyone always knows what we want: out the door, inside the door of the porch, more food, drink, play, petting you name it. No one cannot understand us. We think we are the most important members of the family. Everyone is always happy to see us and we greet our family when they come home. We love Winter Break because everyone is home and we have company all day every day. We could not have ended up in a better place. Thank you to Siamese Cat Rescue Center for fostering us, taking care of us and finding the right family for us. (PS: We both got A+ on our annual vet evaluation). with lots of purrs wishing you a Happy new Year. :-)
