WALLABY
Very hopeful, I stand by the sidelines hoping you'll pet me, hoping another cat will play with me, and hoping that no one will scare me. When I was outside as a stray, I never knew if someone would be nice or nasty, so I take a cautious approach but am a really quick learner! You can see the hope and desire to trust in my face, and if you can show me the ropes, I promise to be great!

Notes from Home
Wallaby is doing great. So playful has finally made it to the couch on his own to come and sit with you. Petting he loves but not being picked up it's getting there. all the animals have adjusted well.
He certainly loves to eat what a chow hound no problems there either. loves all his toys and runs around play with them. So grateful we got him. will keep in touch

Wallaby had his vet check visit yesterday he did great they just all loved him and of course he just had to show off with those beautiful blue eyes. Everyday he warms up alittle bit more. He and my other cat love to play you can hear them running around in early morning and at night.

Been a month now everything is great what a great guy. Big eater loves to howl for food now that he has settled in. Wallaby and my other cat get along great they play together he even plays with the dogs when they are not paying attention he plays with their tails. So glad to have him

BRIAR
This is my "I am smarter than you" look and don't you forget it. So if you can accept that I will be the boss and you just the house staff, then we're good to go.
Notes from Home
Briar has grown into a beautiful adult cat. She is very spoiled and knows she is a beauty. She loves her mommy and daddy very much.

BUDDY
They found me in a colony of feral cats - hey, I'm not feral! They knew that, and hung on to me until Siamese Rescue had a space open - so here I am! I'm a sweet, sweet boy who LOVES attention. And I LOVE to play both with other kitties and my toys. I need a feline play mate to go home with. I'm a rough player though (not mean or aggresive just a rough and rowdy guy), so no little kids and no shy or really old cats. So if you have a kitty that needs a chasing buddy, or a wrestling buddy, and a buddy for YOU - then I am your Buddy!

Check out my new movie - I'm playing with some of the funny looking cats that live here.

Notes from Home
Buddy has been living with us for a couple of years now, where he goes by the name Milo. He's a goofball and we love him very much. He and my 8yo daughter are especially close but he's great with both of my children. My 10yo son loves to chase him, and Milo chases right back. We also have a pet rat now and he and Milo seem quite fond of each other. Unfortunately, our older cat just passed away after a brief illness and Milo is not happy as an only cat. We will be looking for a lively young playmate for him soon!

JERSEY
Just arrived. More information soon.
Notes from Home
Jersey is settling in very nicely. He has already selected several "spots" for napping and enjoys gazing out the screen door for hours on end. My girls adore him and he is a big hit with their friends as well. After an afternoon playing with the kids, Jersey takes a long power nap in one of his spots. One of his favs right now is to sleep in one of the American Girl doll beds. It now has Jersey's blankets and pillow on it. The girls like to spoil him.

He sleeps with my husband and I at night, normally up beside me. The first night he was here, I woke up to him grooming my hair.

What can I say, we love him to pieces!

COCO - LOCO
Sweet lap kitty, that's me :) I'm an old fashioned apple head gal who is a gentle, easy going happy go lucky gal. I'm fine with the boys here, happy to have attention, but not demanding all the time. I'd be fine with kids and am just an easy going gal!

Notes from Home
We have dropped the "Loco" part of her name and call her CoCo only. She has settled in quite nicely and bonded with me. She eats very well and since I put her on a low calorie kibble, she has lost 1 pound. With more exercise, we are hoping she will lose a few more pounds. As you know CoCo is a terrible traveler. She had scraped the skin off her nose & bloodied her paws during the trip up to NJ. That seems to be healed up now.
We do have one problem.....CoCo seemed to be afraid to go down to the basement where the litter boxes are located and preferred to pee on the carpet in our office. To get her used to the box & the litter we use, I brought one of the boxes upstairs & set it up in the office for the past week. She has been very accepting of this arrangement....no further problem. However, we intend to put the box back in the basement today & plan to introduce her to the location again. (Her Profile indicated "sudden urination before she can get to the box" once a week for past month".) Fingers are crossed. Any suggestions?

COPPER
Copper is a very sweet 5 month old flame point. He was turned into the local shelter as a stray. He is extremely affectionate, loves to purr, crawls into my lap, sweet boy. He needs a playmate that isn't too old as he likes to play and wrestle too rough for the geezers meezers. He is currently getting over a kitty cold. Don't miss out on this very sweet boy :)
Notes from Home
Maliboo is doing great. He's had no trouble finding the litter, eats very healthy portions, and is Mr. Mischief's new boy-toy. He's slyly trying to get close to Diva-Mia and she sometimes lets down her guard for him. I forgot how energetic kittens are. On a sad note, for the first time in 5 years I do not have Mischief dogging my heels constantly. I have to look for Maliboo to find Mischief! Thanks everyone for making this happen so quickly.

SOLOMON
I was very happy in my home, and my mamma was very happy with me. So why am I here? The doctor mamma went to was not happy with me - and after a long time trying, mamma finally decided that the doctor was right so here I am. I have been well loved and well cared for - I've been in the family since kitten-hood. Right now I'm a bit scared with all the changes, and leaving my loving home, but I'll adjust. I lived with a little dog, and we played together. Not sure how I am going to feel about other cats, but we will start to find out soon. I would like a quieter, adults only home - kids scare me and make me hide. Being a very sensitive sort, I'm going to take some time to settle in but after I do I'm a marvelous cat! We will see how I do with other kitties - I have been sniffing them under the door, but that's it so far.
Notes from Home
Whiskey (yes, he no longer goes by the name Solomon) is doing great! He loves it here in Arlington, VA and he feels right at home. He is very cuddly these days and always begging for attention when we get home from work. He loves to meow and curl up with us on the couch. He enjoys having his belly rubbed and he also loves to kneed our bellies! He is still shy when we have people over, but he jumps out to play with us as soon as they're gone. He is a silly boy and we love him so!

KEEKO
P is for Purrsonality
O is for Outgoing
O is for Obviously affectionate
K is for Konfidence (ok, so he can't spell)
I is for Intriguing eyes
E is for Excellent companion

And that spells Pookie!

This charmer was given up by his owner when he moved. Pookie is oblivious to it and just wants love and attention for which he will give 10x in return.

Notes from Home
Keeko has been home with us for two weeks and he is doing wonderfully. He is a cat with loads of energy and a huge personality to match. We have two other resident cats that he has recently met and all are doing well. Within the first minutes home he came out of his crate and rolled around on the floor wanting scratches and then quickly wanting to play. He got home at around 8PM and by 8:30 was chasing toys around with my 6 year old - Sam. We finally got Sam in bed at around 10PM (too excited about new kitty) and Keeko crawled up to the pillow and settled down. Sam was over the moon.

We were expecting a feisty kitty with character that can be easily overstimulated and that’s exactly the kitty that came home to us. We were prepared with toys of all kinds, especially long wand toys to keep distance from hands. Over the two weeks with the help of a very willing little boy, it is clear that if Keeko has enough play-time and exercise, he is also a very loving and affectionate kitty that sleeps on your bed and enjoys being held. When he starts any of his “mouthy” behavior, we have toys all over that we grab to encourage biting the toy instead. We have a lot of vertical space in our house, and Keeko LOVES to run up and down – up and down – either chasing after a toy, or more recently, chasing after Posy, our 4 year old kitty. After a few rounds it is unclear who is chasing who, but they generally end up lying down a few feet from each other when tired out. Keeko did try to chase our older tortie girl, and quickly figured out he didn’t want to do that again. He now gives her plenty of space! 

With all of his energy we have decided to take some hints from Jackson Galaxy and have ordered the Catification book so that we can build some more vertical space for the kitties. It looks like a lot of fun for everyone!

Keeko is definitely a handful and we love every bit of him!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We just celebrated Keeko's one month anniversary. He is settling in and doing great. He found his favorite chair in the house and claimed it for himself...he also matches the chair. :)

Keeko likes to be where the action is....during the daytime when the kids are at school it is quiet here. He is always with me, following from floor to floor. The funny part is, now the other two cats also follow so I usually have two to three cats around my feet. When the kids come home, they disperse. Keeko has strongly bonded with Sam. Sam comes home from school around 3:30 and they do laps around the living room and kitchen. After school, Keeko goes where Sam goes. He still gets overstimulated and goes into attack mode, but he can be quickly redirected. We all like a little mischief in our cats and appreciate his energy...he has added a lot to our household.

One month in and he is just one of the family now. He has a few spats here and there with his feline companions, but nothing much. Our older tortie often thinks Keeko needs a bath, and when Keeko doesn't comply, she will swat him into order. Eventually she gets the job done.

He also has a very soft and sweet side. I can pick him up and he just goes limp....so snuggly, purring, and tolerating being held longer and longer. :)

Wow - we cannot believe it has been six months since Keeko came to be with us. He is an amazing part of our family and we are so grateful to everyone for making this happen. He LOVES to wear his harness and leash and walk around the backyard and go moth hunting. The neighbors all love him and kids always ask when Keeko will be going for his walk that day so they can come out and give him a smooch on the head. He is a very active and inquisitive kitty, he gets along famously with his sister Posy, and we are just in love him him! :)

Foster Notes

NOAH
HELP MY MOM!!!!!! She's falling love with me!

New to this place, I am a bit overwhelmed but calm with the changes. Now that I have a clean bed, pampered self with clean nails and ears, I'm liking the diet and quiet times. Foster meowm comes and gives me pets. I am quickly learning that kisses and cuddles and snuggles aren't so bad. In fact, I temporarily lose my mind at least once a day and purr up a storm when mom loves on me. Maybe this human thing isn't so bad, after all.

I'll be ready for me new home shortly. If you are looking for a well behaved gentle boy, ask about me. I'd like to go home with gentle feline friends and a patient adopter who will keep reassuring me that every time I get petted, it's still good. Can you do that?

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
When my Meowmy asked about me, she was told I would be very shy and probably not a people cat. So, she tried very hard to be patient and let me come out of my shell. She now calls me her teddy bear. I always have to touch her when she is sleeping, and when she tosses and turns, I lay down on her pillow around her head, put my head on her head and purr. She goes right to sleep. See how good my training of her has been? I eat well and really enjoy my Greenie treats that are good for my teeth. I have a very good vet who focuses just on cats. When I get my shots, I hide my head in my Meowmy's arm. But I don't like the kitty carry. I cry and cry when she carries me out to her car (making her neighbors very worried) but as soon as I get in the car, I am just fine. When my Meowmy is home, I have to sleep near her, except when I am really tired, and then I go to my favorite sleeping spot under the sofa where I can hear what she's up to, but I can get some good beauty sleep. She massages my paws and my neck....purr. I found just my right person, but she's always in the process of being trained. We lost our favorite roommate Juliette, who I have been trying to find but Meowmy said it's ok...she will find us again someday. Thanks for sending me such a trainable person who loves meezers.
