MONET
My name is Smudge and, as you can see, there's an extra smudge of color on my face :) I lost my home through no fault of my home and am trying to learn that it's going to be ok. I'm a bit unsure at first and not very confident yet, but I do love attention. I will need a quieter home. I get along with cats, but no dogs, please. If you can find it in your heart to give a guy a second chance at love, then ask about me.

Notes from Home
I've renamed him Monet because he reminds me of an impressionist painting. He's very sweet and has quickly acclimated to his new home.

SAKI
Hello my name is Saki and this is my story. A few weeks ago I found myself in a very busy Animal Shelter wondering what was going on. But my luck soon changed when a very nice lady from Siamese Rescue came and took me away. Now I'm settling into my new foster home and enjoying life. I like being with my family, greeting them when they come home, and following them around the house. Staying near to them gives me comfort. Plus I need to keep a close eye on them at all times so I don't lose them! Apparently I am very good at giving face kisses and head butts. In my spare time I prefer just sitting quietly by myself , either in my cat tree, or on the window ledge looking out at the birds. I'm neat and tidy and have excellent litter box habits. I have a very soft dense coat which does not appear to shed much. I am not a very vocal boy, but make little chirping noises when I'm hungry and my mum pretends not to notice my pleas for more food. Mum says I've got a little tummy saddle bag that I need to lose. But I'm not sure I agree. I'd probably do well just on my own or with another friendly, not in my face and age appropriate, cat or dog sibling. I am a very loyal, laid back companion who is looking for a family to love.

Notes from Home
Six happy months have passed since Saki came to me on the amazing Meezer Express! What an impressive organization. Thanks to the very thorough SCRC vetting process, kitty was exactly what I expected and more.
We had a warm but tentative start. However, after a few weeks and the occasional hiss, he voluntarily crawled into my lap one day. Happiness!! My home feels like a home again. My day starts with a smile when I wake up and see him near me. He is not much of a talker but I am pleased to report that he has developed a little purr of contentment. It usually arises with the making of lap biscuits after a meal. He loves his food. Life is good. Thanks to my sponsor-Diana, his foster mom-Jane, all the wonderful Meezer express volunteers and everyone else at the extraordinary SCRC.

TEAGAN
Wow - I have had so many changes in my life in the last 10 days!
First my whole cat family lost our home and ended up in the shelter:( Then they decided I was big enough to leave my momma - that was really hard. After that I got a shot and a couple kinds of medicines - and then I had spay surgery. And then foster mom brought me and Finn and Branna to another new place - it was just too much!
So I stopped eating. Foster mom fed me and fed me, had the vet check me out, and just kept loving me and telling me things were going to be better soon. And I finally believed her and started to eat by myself!
I still have a long way to go but Foster mom says I will catch up. Being with my brother Finn really helps so I would like to go home with him please! We probably won't be ready to go home for 6 weeks or so but trust me - we are so worth the wait!

Notes from Home
Puck has settled in very well. He loves his food and toys, and is not intimidated by the grown-up cats. I swear his legs get longer every day. Just as I'd hoped, he has formed a friendship with my year-old tortie, and they gallop around the house and wrestle together. The other cats are not totally won over as yet, but they don't object to him if he behaves himself.
May 14, 2017.
Puck has now been with us six months and is a fine figure of a meezer man. In fact, today I decided to nickname him Baby Beluga. lol I'm not sure how much he weighs, but I estimated 12 pounds at least the last time I tried to weigh him.
Puck loves to play fetch with his puff balls. He gets quite annoyed if I don't comply and knocks things off my desk and unplugs my laptop until I fall in line. He adores Pixie, and they careen around the house, chasing and wrestling. Pixie can still throw him to the floor, even though he weighs more than she does. She's tough. He likes the other three cats. He treats Lily, the oldest little meezer, with respect, but sometimes has a bit of a rivalry with Sheena, our tortie-point. Chloe puts up with him when he bumps shoulders with her and smooths along her body with his. He thinks she's great.
Now if only I could get him to cooperate with having his nails trimmed. He's a strong little bruiser.
