OZZIE
Boy am I glad to be out of that shelter place!!!!

The lights were too bright, it was loud and noisy, the food was bad..... And then this doctor stuck me with needles, took my blood, put this smelly stuff on my neck - yucky, yucky, yucky!!!

Thank goodness foster mom came and got me out of there:)

I haven't told her much about myself yet, except that I love to purr, head butt, and have my chin scratched! Stay tuned for more as foster mom and I get to know each other!

Foster mom had a really hard time taking my picture because I just like to rub and roll all over everything!

BELLA
Energy is my middle name now that I have discovered toys. Foster mom says I could be a soccor player, whatever ever that is. But there's this cool mouse dangling from the door and I just jump and jump but never seem to be able to catch it. After I wear myself out, that's when I'm ready to stretch out next to you and accept all your attention. But play comes first. Then I find a spot to curl up with Chantal who is most likely already curled up with you. I can't be parted from my older sister. I always check to see where she is.

Notes from Home
Charise has been renamed Bella. She and Chantal (now Ella) have made themselves right at home. They are very friendly and social. Bella loves to play, and she likes a lot of attention. She is a purring machine. We love the new additions to our family!

May 31, 2017 Update - We have had Bella and Ella for 8 years now. They are wonderful cats. Bella still like s a lot of attention and has a very loud purr. She loves to sleep on me. She and Ella get a long great with our Black Lab, Midnight, who we got 7 years ago.

ELLA
I don't have a meezer voice, but foster mom and I have long conversations with trills and sighs. It didn't take me long at all to learn my name. I'm not so much about being carried around, but if I can sit on your chest or stretch out next to you so you can rub my belly, then I'm in cat heaven. I watch out for my little companion, Charise, even if she is younger and more energetic than I am. She still needs a big sister to put her to bed at night. I could not be parted from my buddy so if you are looking for a wonderful bonded pair, then we're the girls are for you.

Chantal has been renamed Ella. She and Charise (now Bella) have made themselves right at home. Ella likes to be around us all the time, but doesn't want to be held. She'd rather sit right beside us then on a lap. She doesn't purr, but she talks to us all the time. She is a sweatheart!

May 31, 2017 - We have had Ella and Bella for 8 years now! Ella has turned into a sweet, lap cat. If you sit down on the couch you can expect her on your lap right away. She likes to sleep at the foot of our bed, whereas Bella likes to sleep right on top of me. The are both doing great They get along great with our Black Lab, Midnight, who we got 7 years ago.

THUMPA
My owner died and we had nowhere to go but the shelter :( I came in with Missy but we're not convinced we have to go together, although we could. I am looking for an adopter who believes in Jenny Craig, because I need to shed a pound or two (okay maybe three or four). Lovely big boy, however, if I do say so myself!

Notes from Home
It has been 2 weeks and 1 day since Thumpa came to live with me.
I was not really sure if I had made the right choice for the first week or so.
However, in the last few days, all doubt is gone. His personality is really starting to emerge. He greets me when I enter a room, he lays in my lap, he loves to layon the window perch and watch over the neighborhood, he loves to eat (almost anything), he let me finish clipping his claws.
Update 5-30-17
I have had Thumpa for over two years and he has made great strides.
He was terribly affected with fleas when he arrived, but after a vet visit and an 8 month collar, he is fine in that department.
He is slowly coming into his real purrson. He now lays on the bed and sits in my lap, abet for short periods.
He follows me like a shadow and constantly tells me what he is doing with a series of very inventive(on his part) of squawks, sqeaks and chirps. He is a constant, and now, very loud purrer. He likes bring groomed, loves to sit in one of several boxes that are around the house, and, of course, eating.
He watched the birds and squirrels outside, but shows no desire to join them.
I swear he knows Englush and everything I say to him. I love him so much and he has been the best addition to my life.

The only growls he makes is when you try yo take his feather toy away after he has captured it. Yes, Siri, he does look like a leaping meatloaf! I am hoping to get a video to show how high he can jump.

He also Insists on knocking over one particular waste basket all the time, tries to eat the fake flowers and knock knick knacks off. He had checked out everything, including the fake flowers.

He still isn't sure about bed sleeping, but we are working on it.
I love him to death and he has become my pride and joy.

SIMBA
I am settling in very nicely. Iso isn't so bad, but I would rather be out meeting the other kitties. I am a very happy guy, but they seem to be doing all the hissing. I'm just sitting up on the shelf watching. Oh, by the way, I don't dance :) Maksim

BRIDGETTE MURPHY
Are you looking for a cat that will move right in like she's always lived there? Well, look no further! You need to choose me, Bridgette Murphy!

Foster mom says that I am the most well socialized, well adjusted kitty she has ever fostered! As soon as I got out of isolation, I found my two favorite places - foster mom's lap is one and the bed in the master bedroom is the other! I like foster dad's lap too! The other cats here - I can take them or leave them. I am much more interested in my people.

I know my name and I come running when I am called. I love to talk to you and I listen pretty good too:) My front paws are declawed so I don't scratch things. I have perfect litter box habits too.

So what are you waiting for??? ASK ABOUT ME, BRIDGETTE MURPHY!!!

I promise you won't regret it!

Bridgette is doing great. She loves her momma and loves to be touched on my lap. She gets along great with her brothers too! Thanks for everything you did for her. We love her very much.

Bridget is doing great, wow how time flies. We can't believe she has been with us that long already. She is soooo lovey and gets along great with the other two boy cats and the family. Thank you for all you do. I always tell people about your organization when they ask about her.
Michelle

11/23/11 Bridgette is great. She is such a lover and wants to be with us all the time. She tolerates our other two cats. She did have feline acne a little under her chin, took her to the vet and we got some meds to rub on it, which she hated, but it all looks sooo much better now. We loved the whole experience has been fabulous and would recommend your center to anyone. Happy holidays.

Happy 2 yrs with us. Bridgette is a lover with me. She likes it quiet so when the boys are around she hides. She loves to sit on my lap and will be pet all night long. She gets along well with our other two cats still. A pleasure to have and is healthy and we think happy. Thanks for everything.

SADIE
Lovely seal point gal, I'd love to be your one and only. I can sit on laps endlessly, however, remember that well brought up gals don't kiss on the first date, so we'll get to know each other first. My favorite treat is a turkey drumstick in case you want a kiss quickly :)

Notes from Home
Sadie (formerly Katie) is doing very well. When she first came home, she made a comfy place under my bed, but would come right out when I called her. She didn't hide very much. She loves laying on my bed and in her milly bed. Recently we added a 3 tier cat tree, which took her a bit to get used to. But now that the weather is warmer, she's up in the tree and climbing onto the window sill all the time. She doesn't scratch on it, which is a bit disappointing. She prefers to claw onto my couch. So, that's a behavioral habit we're working on.

Otherwise, Sadie is in good health. She has had a check up at the vet. She eats well, both dry and wet. She is very affectionate. She does shed a lot and requires daily brushing. My 9 year old rescue Yorkie is very interested in Sadie, and just wants to be friends with her. Sadie just wants to torture poor Chloe. They both come running to great me at the door every day. Sadie has taken over the Queen of the Castle status from Chloe. She will chase her or swat at her from time to time. I know that with time, they're going to be the bestest of friends!

BELLA
I am the Bella of the ball, yet no one wants to dance with me. I wore my special bunny fur chocolate mink coat, and have my suitcase packed, yet my Meezer Express taxi hasn't shown up yet. Outgoing and friendly, easy going and loving, not sure what more you could ask for, especially when I have included my medical docs updated and my travel stamp issued. Perhaps I should move to NYC so my taxi hailing skills improve?

OOPS! Deleted my previous update since I was a bad girl and did not read above in red. Sorry. Bella is the absolute Queen of the house and could not be loved more. She is very smart and already knows words/commands.with very little prompting. We had already told her this was her 2 year anniversary and even sang to her. She is healthy with absolutely no problems and receives her annual exams and every other month nail clipping at the vet regularly. Can't imagine a time when we didn't have her with us. We are both retired so she has love and companionship all day and night. She has worn all the cardboard down on the Imperial Cat Large Tiger we bought her two years ago and now uses it as her "adulation headquarters" by spreading out on it and expecting a total body massage and petting. And she gets it every time! All good news here.

Bella remains the Queen of the house. Cannot believe it has only been 3 years since it seems she has been with us forever. Has now dug an actual hole in the Imperial Cat Large Tiger so she can put her head in it. Why she likes this remains a mystery but we are afraid to buy a much needed new tiger since it will take another 3 yrs. for her to personalize it to her taste. Time will tell. Look for next year's update!!!

Bella loves us! That is all we need. She knows and supervises our morning and nighttime routines. Fine health; just had a total dental with 2 teeth pulled. Replaced the Imperial Cat Large Tiger and she is busy personalizing it.

ZOOMER
My best buddy was a Chihuahua half my size, a friendly kitty my same size and a sweet lady in a senior apartment on the 9th floor. Unfortunately, my first mom died and her friend wanted to keep me but already was at the limit of pets for her small place so here I am in yet another new place.

I've had a lot of change lately and need some time and patience to win my trust, but I'd love a home of my own with a furry companion or two.

Zoomer is doing great! Integration went well with Esme and we have some nose touching the last couple of days. He is very laid back and she is a little too active for him. He likes to watch her race around though. He has learned to play with the Panic Mouse. He isn't quite sure of the eletronic toys. He has found his favorite window.

6/4/15 - Today is Zoomer's 2 week gotcha day! He is doing very well. He has started coming into the family room to watch TV with Esme and myself. This is new. He was sitting in the living room by himself before this even though I would pick him up and bring him in with us. This is BIG!

7/2/15 - It's been 5 weeks and Zoomer is totally at home now. He and Esmé play/chase, wrestle, and occasionally groom each other. I call him "my gentleman". He is such a sweet guy. A perfect fit!

5/2517 - It is now 2 years since Zoomer joined Esmé and me. He is such a loving BIG guy. He is the first one to greet me in the morning and follow me to bed at night. He greets visitors that come to visit and he loves to watch the lawnmower man on his giant mower when he comes every week. He's been diagnosed with Asthma and doesn't like his Aerokat/inhalers but is great at taking his prednislone. Unfortunately, the meds have caused him to put on weight and he now weighs 14 pounds. His last visit to the vet for a depo shot was pretty unremarkable and he didn't freak out as has been his history previously. Zoomer knows that he's HOME!

ROSALENA
Hi,

I'm very smart, inquisitive and interactive and looking for the same in my people! I wouldn't mind a playful brother but I am confident enough either way. I love to carry toys around and I'm very affectionate. I enjoy hanging out and haven't met a stranger yet! Love men and women!

Notes from Home
March 30. It has been a quick week! Rosa seems to be adjusting well, she is eating and using her box with no problems. Working on teaching her not to jump on the counters. She absolutely LOVES going out on the lanai, she was apprehensive at first but now wants to be out all the time. Learning about the cat door is next.

April 29. It's been about five weeks and Rosa has settled in nicely. She is allowing us to pick her up and even sitting next to us on the couch. She still is mostly independent but is mellowing some. The Vet discovered she had a gram negative infection in her ears and mouth but after 20 days of antibiotics she is healed (fingers crossed). She has been in the car to travel about 2 hours over to St Pete twice, she doesn't like the ride but she is getting better about it.

July 23. Here we are at our four month anniversary. Rosa is doing great. We were away last week and had the cat sitter come by daily, Rosa interacted well with him but was oh so glad to see us on Sunday. She has not let me out of her sight and has even started to lap sit so she can be petted and do some head bumps.

September 24. Exactly 6 months! We couldn't be happier, Rosa has become even more comfortable. She is jumping up on laps to snuggle and sleep, something she had never done except in the last few months. She is truly a good girl, scratching only on the posts and has NEVER had an accident. She enjoys going outside on the screened pool deck and has brought a few geckos in as treats for us (oh joy). She still doesn't like the ride to St Pete, just got a thundershirt and haven't tried it yet in the car but when I put it on her she didn't fight (she almost never does no matter what) and was purring.

March 25, 2014 - Our first year together. Rosa has grown even more close in the last months yet she still maintains her independence. She continues to be a very good cat, never scratching anything but her posts. She loves to play catch with her sponge balls, she recently got a smallish cat tree and she has taken to hanging off of it most of the time. We are all very happy.

March 24 2015 - WOW! Two years has flown by. All is well with Rosa, she is fully adjusted and continues to flourish, so much so the vet says she could lose a few pounds. She has in the last few months started scratching furniture so we now use nail tips to prevent any damage, she tolerates them well and the furniture gets to survive so we are all happy. I am trying to take a picture to celebrate this happy occasion but she isn't cooperating (she thinks she is in charge of everybody) hopefully she will give in soon.

March 26 2016 - Another happy year has passed. Rosa is loving life and we all couldn't be more pleased. She tolerates car trips a little better, maybe she realizes we are NOT going to abandon her.Went to the Vet last month for a check up and dental cleaning and was given a clean bill of health. Now if she'd just stop scratching the furniture!

May 24, 2017 It's been four great years. We are all so happy together, Rosa is very content, she has learned how to get exactly what she wants.
