HAICHU NABOO
I love dogs. I love dogs. I love dogs. I love dogs.

I love dogs SO much that I :

play with them
sleep with them
groom them
lay on top of them
lay under them
nibble on their ears

I love dogs SO much that I had to leave my last home because the dog, who did love cats, got a bit overwhelmed with my constant adorations.

Don't get me wrong, I love kids, cats and people too, and have no politics at all.

But I sure love dogs......
Notes from Home
I started calling him Nabee when I got him as I did not care for Haichu. He has taken to the name quickly. Nabee has been with us now for two years and I have fallen so in love with him. He is very loving and likes a lot of attention, likes to come in the bedroom in am and nibble at my fingers and me hand wrestle with him and to cuddle with me. He often sleeps behind my head where i make a spot for him. He likes for me to carry him on my shoulder. He is a very gentle and loving creature who is completely trusting and has totally captured my heart. I love him dearly. He is the only one now that my other cat has passed. Perhaps when he is a little older I will bring in another.
He has a cat tower and lots of toys and esp likes the little furry mouses i buy him that he plays with at night and scatters all lover the house. :) I feed the birds and squirrels at the side sitting/flower garden area , which he can see clearly through full glass and loves to watch them.Nabee is very smart and picks up on things very quickly. He does not like being left alone for long and since I work at home it is much easier on him. He remains on his l-lysine which seems to help him and has not had a URI since i have had him. When he starts sounding to congested i give him a half of the Chlorphenamine for a couple days and that seems to level him out. Everyone who meets him or sees a picture of him just loves him. Here is a recent pic of my sweet boy at Christmas.

He has been taken off additives and is getting a high quality cat food now both wet and dry, and boy does he love to eat!
He has now come into his full coloring and weighing in at 13.5 lbls. With his huge blue eyes and soft as silk coat and markings , he is beautiful.

ALLIE
Such a sad, sad boy still trying to figure out what is going on. He was brought into rescue due to the death of the only owner he knew. His "uncle" said he loves to play and snuggle with his person.

Allie spooks easily, so would do better in a quiet household. He doesn't like the resident dog and has only had a brief meeting with the residents cats. He may do okay with a laid back cat that won't bully him.

Allie brought all his toys and cat condo with him and would love to take it all with him to his new furr-ever home!

Ally is now names Boogie. He has made some improvements in the past couple of years. He is still a little skittish when it comes to noises and people walking around him. However, when you settle in for the evening, he is right there waiting for your lap. He and Zoe like to chase each other around the house when they are not napping. He likes to talk to us, especially in the morning when he is not ready to get up.

RORY
Well, I've moved to my new foster home, no big deal. I am just hanging out in the foster room, waiting for my foster parents to come in and pay attention to me! I just can't get enough attention! I'm still in isolation, so not sure if I like other cats or not, but I can tell you one thing - I luuuuuuuuuv my foster Meowmy. If she sits down I am right on her lap. Sometimes I climb on her and hold on to her shoulders so I can give her face rubs. She'll tell you about me and other cats when she can let me meet hers .
purrs - Rory
Notes from Home
Rory has a new name. Her name is now Zoe but we call her Zoe-Zoe (and Doe-Doe because she's "special"). She is such a sweetheart. She and Allie (now named Boogie) love to chase each other around the house when they are not napping. Even though Zoe is getting older, she hasn't slowed down much. She's going to break our hearts one day. But, I'm sure that there will be another waiting to take her place.

PHIL
Love me love me love me love me love me DO NOT stop love me love me love me (what? You have to leave? Nip nip swat swat) love me love me love me love me more....

I'm a very chatty guy who grew up in a cage and then a shed, and it's taking me some time to realize that someone will always be there for me. I talk a lot as I'm pretty concerned about what's going on, and I am overly anxious (can you say desperate) for your attention. I do great a lot of the time, but other times I just can't let it go.... So I'm going to need a special owner who understands that I need some time to settle in, a loving but firm hand, and probably a time out every once in awhile!

Notes from Home
It's been a year since Phil's been here. He is quiet, calm, extrordinarily sociable. He is supremely confident. He sits with the big dogs, he grooms them and permits them to groom him. Our female Traditional seal point has accepted him, and they sit together, play together, and they do not fight. He vocalizes when he wants something, but is quiet otherwise. What a positive change for this beautiful and affectionate fellow. A strong personality, ever present, not a bully at all. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to welcome this lovely boy, and to see him through.

March 2016, two years, and Phil has settled nicely into the family. What a big change he has undergone since first he arrived here. He no longer bites. He does not yowl. He remains an intense but quiet fellow, most gregarious, continuously interactive. He vocalizes a great deal, in quiet tones, and seems to have opinions on everything. His favorite toy is "Da Bird", a feathery wand toy. He "kills" that bird repeatedly and never tires of chasing it.

Phil and our two Rottweilers have become a team. He even mimics their positions when they are in the same room. Phil has developed a tolerable relationship with our older Traditional Siamese Seal Point girl. Even though they run and play together, she is clearly in charge. She is about half his size, and dainty, but she is the boss cat.

Phil displays anxiety when a person is behind a closed door, and when he is behind a closed door, for instance, when being fed. Phil is anxious when a person leaves the room, and runs to be with them. When I leave the house, Phil spends time sitting with the dogs or with our female cat, Lily. He is calm when I return home. Phil now sleeps on the bed with us, frequently at the foot, and sometimes between us or in my arms. He wakes us early, first purring, then tapping us, then talking loudly. Phil likes to be held after he eats. He always seeks the available lap, and travels from lap to lap, always being happily accepted. Phil enjoys riding on shoulders. He holds on tight, and purrs.

Phil enjoys breakfast time with Mel. When I play guitar, no matter what I am playing, Phil sits on the couch with me and puts his head on my other knee. Lily sits on the back of the couch. The dogs lie on the floor nearby. It is a peaceful kingdom. Thank you again for rescuing Phil, nursing him back to health, and for making him available to us.

MOCHA
What a life! Compared to what I had this is most wonderful. I can't get over having good food and lots of love and affection. I thought living a cats life meant unkind words and no love. I won't tell foster mom about other things that happened to me but she has heard a little about it. I love Avia and she loves me so we would like to stay together please. Foster mom says our life from now on will be much better than it ever has been.

Notes from Home
What a lover boy. Mocha has settled in and taken possession of "his" house and "his" people. He spends most of his time on the patio surveying the yard and monitoring the goings on of the squirrels and the birds. He doesn't wait for an invitation to a cozy lap, he just jumps right up. We never know where we're going to find him, he loves to get into cabinets and closets or high places like the top of the kitchen cabinets and watch us from above. He knows when it's bedtime and recently beats me to the bedroom and calls me to bed! We have to pick him up to make room for us in the bed because once he gets comfortable, he's NOT moving! We are so happy with Mocha.

March 29,2012. Mocha has been with us a year today. It has taken him almost this whole year to truly believe that this is his forever home. Only the past few weeks does he not run from my husband when he tries to pick him up. He remembers him putting him in the cat carrier shortly after arriving here to take him to the vet, but Mocha thought he was moving on once again! He still doesn't go near the closet that holds the cat carrier! Last fall I felt like Mocha was lonely for feline company since he was used to being with other cats, and we found the perfect match for him. We rescued a 1and 1/2 yr old female meezer named Lola, and Mocha just loves her! They play and wrestle and Mocha squeals like a girl!!!!! He's a riot! They chase each other through the house, and they sit together on the patio watching the birds and squirrels. I bought them a cat tree and they spend a lot of time watching the goings on around here from their perches. When we first got Mocha he had a faint purr and I thought that was just how he purred, But as time goes on, his purr has gotten louder and louder and now he has a good loud purr. I think that in the back of his mind he still can't believe that he really is home forever!!!! He loves to be petted and combed and sits on our laps. He sleeps with us, and every evening he demands his Purina Party Treats which I feed him one at a time by hand. He takes them from me ever so gently! Mocha is such a happy, playful, loving, gentle cat......we are so blessed to have him. If I can figure out how to post pix, I will, but I am not savvy in that department.

March 30/2015 I have been in my forever home for 4 years now, and loving every minute. I have so much fun, especially with mom. I make her play with me all the time. I just love when she plays with the wand with the mouse on the end. Mom says I'm as playful as a kitten! I sure love my family. And all the nurses who work here. And my cat sister Lola. But most of all I just LOVE my Mom. I'm never far from her because I watch her every move, lol. She says I act like a puppy dog, the way I follow her everywhere. She snuggles me and calls me her nice fluffy pussycat. And I talk to her and she understands me! I just wish that she NEVER had to leave the house because I miss her and can't wait for her to come home. I'm always there to greet her at the door. I am healthy and strong and very lively because they take such good care of me. I am blessed!!!

ICARUS
I am a handsome lover boy who loves attention and affection, and will give you the same back! I love to look into your eyes and head butt, and will sleep on or next to you at night. I like to give hugs, and even be carried around. If you let me, I will ride on your shoulders! I also like to talk to you when I am hungry for my special food. I love kids, but sometimes I get over excited with my attention and foster mom thinks young children would not be good for me. She will tell you more about that. I can't wait to have my own family to love and dote on!! Please ask about me!
Notes from Home
Icarus settled in immediately when we brought him home. It only took him about an hour to stake out the place and find his favorite spots and warm up to us. Unfortunately when we got him I ended up catching an upper respiratory infection the day after; he still followed me around and kept me company throughout the sickness.

He is the friendliest cat and everyone that has visited our home has fallen in love with him, even those that were adamant about their dislike of cats. We weren't a huge fan of the nickname "Icky" even though he responds to it. We decided to officially change his name to Bo, short for Beauregard. He is learning his name, though he already has too many nicknames to count.

Bo is definitely very food-oriented and since the weather has gotten nicer he is very outside-oriented. We open the windows for him so he can climb into them and stare at the random birds and bugs that fly by. We just got a large cat playpen/cage from a friend, so we hope to let him outside in that on nice days. He has been pretty adamant about getting outside, though when he escapes thankfully he doesn't go far.

All in all, Bo is doing great! He's definitely a unique cat in both coloring and personality. I did get him to play fetch with me once, but it must have just been a lucky day. He loves his wand toy and the ball track we have and when he gets a hold of catnip he just races through the house. We're trying to get him out of the habit of waking us up at 4am, but otherwise we love him dearly and are so glad we get to come home to Bo every day.

Just arrived in foster care so foster mom is still learning about me. So far she knows that I love being petted and brushed and playing with a catnip fish.

Daisy is amazing! Ok, so really she's a total wacko, but she's also amazing because of this. She is a huge personality and absolutely, positively could not be a better fit for our home. Her favorite things include chasing toy mice, watching the birds and hogging the bed. She still HATES being held, but is getting better (I'm able to hold her for upwards of two minutes!) We bought her a cat tower because she's terribly spoiled, and she loves laying on her back at the very top and being the world's biggest ham. We thank you guys for the amazing work you do every day. We absolutely cannot imagine what life would be like without all eight solid pounds of her!

FARINA
Just arrived and discovered to have a heart murmur that needs to be checked out before I can be adopted. I am sweet and cuddly and a little timid until I get to know you. Ok with other cats but best with laid back male. Not too active home life is best, too.
Purrs, Apple
Notes from Home
Farina (fka Apple) settled in well and is an active, playful, affectionate kitty. She doesn't like being picked up yet, especially when I have to give her yucky medicine (for coccidia). She is learning to talk and occasionally a meow comes out. She has a long lean body and is a good jumper. What a beautiful cat Farina is!
