This beauty just arrived. So far she is confused by her change of venue as she has moved around a lot in the past 2 years. She must be an only cat - loves people, but cats not so much. She prefers to be the princess. Hopefully her next home with be her forever home! More about Maxine's purrsonality as soon as she reveals it to me.

New photos soon!

Notes from Home
My experience in adopting Maggie was a good one The information provided by her foster, Michelle, was very helpful. It helped greatly in getting ready for her to come and live with me. We are still in the getting to know you phase but she is the most loving cat I've ever had. She is still rather shy and hides from me put I'm sure that will get better in time.

All was going extremely well until she went to the vet the other day. The whole experience frighten her and since then she hides. Maggie was having problems with vomiting and loose stools and red eyes so she is taking several medications. The vomiting and loose stools have stopped, eyes are clearing but she doesn't like her meds. The loose stools and eye issues were well documented in her history so I know that would need to be addressed.

I will update again in a few weeks by then I know her shyness will have worn off.

3/25/16 Update:
I first want to start with the fact the Maggie is the most loving cat I've ever had. She is beautiful, loving, sweet little girl who I have fallen totally in love with. Maggie is in her forever home. She knows her new name, is always by my side and has wonderful manners.

Now for the not so good news. Maggie has had bouts of vomiting and loose stools since coming to live with me. Initially my vet changed her food and seemed to help for a few weeks. She always ate well for me but couldn't find a dry food she liked. My vet, Dr. Williams did a ultrasound in January which showed a small thickening of her small intestines, we tried conservative treatment at first and it seemed to help. But a couple of weeks ago she would vomit and not eat for a day or two along with loose stools. She started to loose weight.

Maggie was back at the vet this past Monday and a TK feline cancer panel was done and yesterday I received the bad news. Maggie has small cell lymphoma. The plan is a 6 week course of chemo, hopefully starting Monday. Maggie is also on numerous other medications at this time. The goal is to get Maggie in remission, continue with a good quality of life, and expand her life expediency.

Please keep Maggie in your thoughts and prayers, she has a long road ahead of her.

7/18/16 I received an email from Kathy the other day asking how things are going with Maggie since it's been 6 months since her adoption. As I stated in March Maggie was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma and IBS. She went through 1 month of chemo which was very hard on her. She had a lot of nausea, vomiting and anorexia from the chemo. Maggie was rechecked for cancer 2 weeks ago and she is in remission. Her IBS is still not well controlled but she has gained the weight back she lost during her treatment and I've tried to upload a new picture of her today. I hope it went through.
As far as Maggie's behavior goes there are no problems. She loves to be near me or on me, sleeps with me every night and enjoys making biscuits and her litter box habits are excellent! She can be shy around company but usually warms up to people. She isn't big on playing with toys or interactive play (looses attention easily). She does like to go out on the screened porch and smell the air and the garage is her hunting grounds. She loves to be brushed and really enjoys belly rubs.
Maggie will be on medication for IBS for life, she still vomits occasionally and has soft stools. But my vet is on top of things and follows her regularly. Maggie is a wonderful companion and I enjoy every day with her.

Thanks for remembering Maggie's 1 year anniversary, we plan on celebrating later today. As I've stated before Maggie is the sweetest, most loving cat I've ever had. Matter of fact, she is sitting on my lap while I try to type this update.
Maggie's health issues continue to be problematic, in September she stopped eating and had severe diarrhea Maggie was hospitalized and diagnosed with pancreatitis. After 4 days of severe vomiting and diarrhea my vet felt there was little else that could be done and the only avenue left was exploratory abdominal surgery which I okayed. When Maggie was shaved it was noted she had a large abdominal scar indicating she had abdominal surgery in the past. My Vet stated the mesenteric closure was not well performed and Maggie had severe intestinal adhesions and a loop in her bowels as well as an inflamed pancreas, no sign of cancer. The next day Maggie had a feeding tube inserted and developed a severe bladder infection. Maggie was hospitalized for 2 weeks and came home with tube feedings and 2 page list of medications. The vomiting and diarrhea stopped, the feeding tube stayed in for 6 weeks. Maggie remains on multiple medications and still needs an appetite stimulate to eat an adequate diet. Maggie's weight is up to 8 lbs. which she has maintained.
Even with all these medical issues with Maggie her lovely disposition hasn't changed. She is such a joy to be around. Since her surgery Maggie has become more active, vocal and playful. She still has her IBD and will be rechecked for small bowel lymphoma in the spring. I do feel Maggie is happy in her new home even though she doesn't like taking her medication.

It was with great sadness I have to report that my precious Maggie passed away yesterday. She started with an unsteady gait 2 weeks ago and quickly progressed to the point she could not walk or hold her head up. After many tests (that were normal) the vet felt there was a cancer somewhere in her spine. We decided not to do an MRI because of the distance to drive and expense and it wouldn't change the outcome. I kept her at home hoping the prednisolone would allow more quality to her life but by Sunday it was clear it wasn't working. My Maggie Mae stole my heart and I shall miss her more than I can express it words. Our last night together we snuggled in bed and as I stoked her she purred for hours. No matter how sick she was she remained the sweetest little girl.

Hey, you. Yes, you! Stop right now. Why are you even looking at any more of those other cats when you know you have found the perfect one. Yes, that is right....Me. First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Princess Mimi Meow of Maryland. A most exquisite and very affectionate Torti point if ever there was one. Now that I have your attention, let me begin by telling you what type of man servant I am looking for. First of all, because I am such a wonderful and truly magnificent feline, you will only need me. I love talking to my staff, leg winding, head butts and have a deep throaty purr. So you have to trust me when I tell you that I will be more than enough Siamese for you to handle, so no point even thinking about putting me in a home with another cat. I have so much to say for myself all the time, I cannot possibly share my servant with another feline. But in return you will have my undivided attention, so much love and many nose kisses. I will keep you amused all the time with my antics and activities and I will sit on your lap during the day and cuddle up on your bed at night. So, now that we have that taken care of, let me tell you what else I am looking for. I need someone to pay very close attention to my every whim and desire and in turn I will promise to make sure that I keep you under control and busy at all times. Honestly, I do wonder sometimes what humans did before they lived with a cat, they are so scattered and unfocused, it really takes a fantastic feline like myself to keep them on track. It is exhausting. Oh, and another thing, I do not care one bit for those very small servants on two short legs who have high pitched voices. I call them aliens because I believe they are from another planet. However my current servant says that is not polite and they are actually called children. Anyway, I do not want to share my castle with them either. Now let me get back to my favorite subject.. me. I am very beautiful, with large blue eyes, that light up the stars, and a face so exquisite, it could launch a thousand ships. My coat is really a beautiful multicolor, with so many different shades and patterns. I have a very busy tail, that wags all the time, like a dog. Even when I sit still it wags, and it turns into a kink at the end when I walk. Sometimes my tail even surprises me. So, if you think that you will make the perfect servant and you have a palace that you feel is suitable for a loving young princess to live in, please feel free to contact my current slave and let them know you are interested in applying for the position. All applications will be carefully reviewed by myself. May the Paws be with you... Princess M.

Mimi has been with us for a month now and is doing just fine. Her personality is just as described by Siri and Jane. A bit on the cautious side but quite interested in the family activities. Certainly becomes social when she wants, loves to do her "face bumps" Appears out of nowhere and has some hiding places that have amazed us when we are about to leave and need to make sure she is OK. We call her just Mimi and have dropped the meow for the most part. Our grandson calls her "cutieface" which is approppriate as an alternative.
She uses her litterbox and loves her food although occasional spit ups happen
We are quite happy to have her in our lives and are so pleased with the Siamese Cat Rescue Center. Thanks so much!

Update February, 2017 Mimi has been with us for seven months now. She is doing very well and it is so nice to have he as a part of our lives.Essentially all of my comments above continue to apply. She is her own girl, and although her social integrations are quite gradual, she certainly appears comfortable in our home. She is still quite the neat freak with her litter box and loves her Nutro dry food. No interest at all in people food. Continues to find the most comfortable sunny napping places imaginable.looking at her pre adoption pictures she has "filled out" a bit and is a bit chubbier. She still races around the house from time to time and we should encourage that type of activity a bit more. She spends hours looking out the windows at the bird feeder etc. Makes us wonder if she was an outdoor kitty in the past. Is not trying to sneak outside the way she did when she first arrived but as the warm weather approaches we likely will need to deal with that again. Thanks so much for your help, will attempt to upload a picture. We love Mimi for sure!

One year has gone by and Mimi is doing just wonderfully. She is healthy, pretty as ever and appears very content. She has not become a lap kitty as yet but we still hold out hope. She seems quite comfortable in her routines and is just so pleasant to have around. She has her favorite room in our home which is our sunroom and spends most of the day there on her perch looking outside, grooming and napping. She is after us to follow her there, and wants to be brushed frequently. she is very "easy" and very much the neat and tidy type. We just love living with her. Thanks again for doing what you do!

Hello Everyone!

We just wanted to report Dodger is doing extremely well. He is a very happy boy! It has taken quite a bit of patience to help him feel completely comfortable in his new home. It took 4 months before we could pet him while he was at his food bowl. We still can not walk over to him and pick him up in some cases. He doesn't like to be held. He will tolerate it however. I think he must have been a stray cat that did not have much handling. His name Dodger fits him well...although he will let us pet him and sometimes hold him, he will not allow anyone else close to him such as visitors or grandparents here for a week. He watches from a distance and wants to be nearby, and loosens up and watches TV with us, but on his own terms.

He does love to sleep with us at night and loves petting and playing at that time. He follows me around and is my shadow....he goes into every room with me and helps me get ready for work. He enjoys routine and knows it well. He has his favorite sleeping spots and loves his cat stand. He has many toys and enjoys carrying his stuffed mouse in his mouth. Dodger's favorite pastime is bird watching! His favorite bird is the hummingbirds....he sits by the feeder inside the screened in porch and flicks his tail in enjoyment. We have a gray parrot, Lucy, that Dodger keeps a close eye on.

We are already in love with Dodger and he is an important member of our family. We will continue to help him with his confidence, which continues to improve with time and understanding.

Again, thank you for all you did for us so that we have the joy of our wonderful companion, Dodger......

Playful, active little Meezerette. Rambunctious, affectionate and oh so sweet. Petite and delicate in stature but with exceptional energy and courage. Fearless in play, climbing the cat tree or inviting larger cats to wrestle or chase.

After an active day, she tucks into bed with her purrson. She loves to be covered up and sleep with her head on the pillow.

Excellent use of litter box and scratching post.

A delightful kitten who will need a home with at least one other playful, younger cat and an appreciation for a independent little girl who still loves to snuggle.

Her soft peach colored points are still coming in, as is typical for flames. Don't miss your chance to ask about this unusual female flame kitten.

Kitten and transport policies apply.

Nuria is doing great! She loves her brother (9mo old black domestic shorthair named Nox) and is more inclined to cuddle and play with him than anything else. She is very sweet and intelligent and curious, she always knows when I'm about to leave the apartment and tries to go with me. She likes going outside and exploring on her leash, though she's still learning to like the harness. She has gotten more orange in her points and a bit more pudge around the middle, which makes her so soft and cuddly. She mostly won't sit on me but will sit near me with her paws on my arm or leg. From time to time she will climb under the covers with me and purr loudly. Her favorite passtime is letting Nox get into trouble and then benefiting from whatever food or toy he has knocked to the ground for her. We are a very happy family!

Hi! Meowmy calls me Precious because she says that's what I am. I just got here and I'm recouperating from my spay surgery s and am doing well. I eat all my food and use my litter box like a good girl just like my mama taught me.

Now all I need is a forever home. Could that be yours?
Hit ask about me and maybe it could be. Better hurry, cause meowmy says everyone wants a sweet girl like me!
Update: I had my vet visit today and the vet said I'm older than first suspected. She said I'm about a year and a half old, and in nice condition. I guess I'm just petite, though I now weigh 7 lbs from all that good food meowmy gives me.

Notes from Home
Hello to All,
June 2009 - We were so excited and thrilled to bring Precious home. She was a good traveler and it only
took her a few minutes to decide to let us pet her, do a roll and go exploring. She seems to have made herself at home, has a favorite windowsills in each room, likes to be with us wherever we are. Keeps Joe company in his office on the windowsill watching the squirrels chase each other on the tree outside of the window. Usually wakes us up with a few races up and down the hall or a game of soccer with a ping pong ball.
The vet was very impressed with her and with Siamese Rescue as well. She weighed in at 8.75 lbs. She loves her food and can't seem to get enough. We will have to be vigilant about overfeeding her.
2010 - It has been more than a year since Precious Penelope, as we call her, has come to live with us and she has been the BEST part of the year. She is so cute and adorable. She has a tunnel which she loves racing through every day, loves balls of any kind and her cute furry mice sent in her wonderful care package. We have bought her various catnip toys, but her favorite seems to be her carrot which she plays with every morning. She is quite smart and learns quickly, except for wanting to get on the dining room table.
We can't THANK YOU all of you, Peggy, Jeanne, Rose, Roy and Siri enough for this wonderful addition to family possible. Joe and Ruthanne

June 28th, 2014
Dear Friends,

Precious, now Penelope, is our very special girl. She has been a joy since bringing her home, continuing to make us laugh, being a gentle companion and charming everyone who meets her. They all say, what a pretty cat. Then we get to tell them the story of Siamese Rescue. She has been to work with me, been to the pet friendly hair salon with me, rides in the car for errands sometimes (not when its hot) and been to family gatherings.
After a serious scare in Dec. 2012 where she ended up in the hospital, with bowel issues; she has recovered completely and seem to be just as she was.

Penelope here, "Just letting everyone know I have a lovely home, in the trees, so to speak. We live on the third floor of a building surrounded by trees and I spend most mornings and some afternoons watching doves, robins, cardinals, crows or the squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees. I have a window seat in most of the rooms so if there is nothing happening in one window there probably is in another.
I have tried all of the chairs and sofas in the house to see which are the best for napping in, one is mine exclusively, and also the ironing board with my special mat on it when my humans aren't ironing.
My favorite place is in the kitchen at dinner time, especially when fish or turkey is in the oven. I sit by the oven waiting for dinner. I'm thinking of writing a Feline cookbook for our humans. Mine say I have very gourmet tastes. Breakfast is Nature's Instinct, canned Rabbit or Duck. For all you felines, especially those with tummy issues, have your humans feed you these., any Nature's Instinct. Mom says there is a special ingredient in them which is good for us.
I keep Dad company in the office most days when he works from home.
Sometimes we go for a short ride in the car to Haverford College. They have a lake with ducks and geese, even herons sometimes. I go in my carrier, but get to sit out and see them up close, they don't even know I'm there.
Right now I'm relaxing on my back in the big chair in the office with Mom while listening to music. We'll go have playtime for treats after this. Mom sets up the chairs in the living room for me so I can jump from chair to chair for treats of course, wave for her, and either my left paw or right paw when she asks for it". (Mom here, "having Penelope respond to asking her for her left paw was easy, it was usually the one she put out first, maybe she is left pawed?
The right one was more of a challenge but she seems to know which to put out when I ask here for a paw tap. So cute."

Thanks to all for rescuing Penelope and bringing us together. Joe, Ruthanne and Penelope.

July 2017 - update -
Penelope here, "Still enjoying life in my "tree house". So happy when the windows are open so I can sit in my windowsills and watch the birds and squirrels or the activity in the parking lot next door too. Haven't been anywhere fun lately except Grandma's house where I get to run up and down the stairs and go explore all the rooms I'm allowed in. It's also fun watching the wildlife at the screen door there too.
Look forward to all my meals and treats too. Love my fish dinners. Mom tells me that the folks at the fish counter at Whole Foods ask what Penelope is having for dinner when mom goes to buy fish for dinner."

Mom here, "Penelope is still our Cutie-pie. Likes to have a snuggle in the morning before breakfast along with a few head butts to remind me its breakfast time. She is my shadow following me around much of the day when I'm home. Too close though when I'm in the kitchen, which is small, where I end up jumping over her or sometimes tell her to sit in the dining room, which works for 5 seconds, and then she's back looking at me with her big blue eyes. If she's not close by we know she is in one of her favorite spots for a nap or in the windows.
Penelope has gotten better about being brushed recently. We now have a nightly session when she comes to stand on my lap or sit on the keyboard when I'm in the office working.
She is a big hit at the local pet food store/groomers where she goes for her nail trim. The staff oh and ah over her and usually ask about Siamese Rescue. (Because your tag is still on her carrier.) It is so much easier to put her in her carrier and drive her 10 minutes than have her fuss when I try to do it.
Penelope still has her favorite toys, her catnip banana, now flatten, which needs replacing, her catnip carrot and oyster, though I also find balls or other toys out when I come home. Still has her daily runs thru the house, up and down the hall, sliding on the carpets. We often have a game of soccer at night before bedtime. She loves rolling balls and catching them. Would be a good goalie. Soccer league for cats anyone?
Penelope has brought us so much fun and joy we can't imagine life without her. I've told her we are glad she became part of our family and hope she is happy here.

Thank you Jeanne for finding me my home where I'm the queen with the velvet paws. Penelope
Our thanks too Jeanne, Peggy, Siri, et al. for all you do. Joe & Ruthanne

Another stunning front declawed seal point snowshoe. Mama Katie says she just can't pass up a chance to foster snowshoes. She keeps telling me that I am BEAUTIFUL. Do you think she is right? If you do, you'd better ask about me. I have that "siamese" meow, so I will talk to you when you are around. Everyone who meets me says I am "precious, precious, precious." Oh, and I love to carry on conversations with you and be with YOU where ever you are. I am a PEOPLE kitty.

Purrs and lots of headbutts, Xena - a real "princess"

Thank you all so much for the continued contact. Katie is doing fantastic. She is so sweet. She loves to lay in the sun by my sliding doors and is a total push over for a good brushing. She is very vocal and a great companion. She eats very well and loves her treats. She likes vistors and is very curious of anything new. She's not afraid of anything.
This entire process has been such a great experience. I wish I had more space, I would adopt more.
It's been six months since I adopted Katie. She is such an awesome cat. We are companions. She greets me at the door every afternoon when I get home from work and isn't happy until I pick her up and snuggle with her. This is the only time that she likes to be held! The rest of the time that I am home, she likes to be within eye-sight or she will meow until I talk to her to let her know where I am. She is not a lap cat, but lays next to me on the couch , bed or at my feet. She loves to play with any toy she can find. That is, if she hasn't batted it under a couch or chair. She is very spoiled, with her dry food, wet food and treats, but she is not an over-eater.
Sometimes I will mimic her meows and she will come running to see if I am ok, like she knows what I'm "saying". It's so cute! She will meow back at me like we are having a feline conversation.... really makes me laugh.
She has great manners and is very clean. She has never missed her litter box and will remind me if I forget to scoop it. I would be very lonely with out her and I think the feeling is mutual.
I'm happy every day for making the decision to adopt her.
7/7/17. Katie and I have been together for 5 years now. Time sure goes by! We moved to Florida last August and we both couldn't be happier. Katie loves sunning on the balcony and has two companions, a parrotlette named Karlito and a conure named Valentino. She pays no attention to either of them as they tweet and squawk. My 85 year old mother moved with us so both Katie and my mom has a companion. They adore each other. I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision years ago to adopt this sweet cat. You were all amazing to help us find each other.

Hi my name is Wren and I am a sweet as sugar southern gal. I have had a really hard beginning and foster mom has worked really hard at earning my trust. I am doing really great with that and like attention very much. I also like food and head scratches... but will do the hiss and greet first just to let you know I am picky about my people. You will need to go slow at first but boy life is so much better now.

I greeted the house cat Dunkin and wanted to be friends. He didn't want to be friends and hissed at me... and ran for the hills. I still want to be friends...Do you have a feline baby who wants to be friends with me.

Somehow I lost my tail, Was I born this way or somehow lost it? It is perfectly okay because I am just purr-fect without it It is kind of cute... like a bunny rabbi and I am quite petite!

Foster mom says I am sweet and cute and my furever home is just waiting out there to find me. Are you it?

Wren is still adjusting. She is becoming trustworthy of us.

She has found where she like to sleep at night and it is right in the bed with us.

Once she knows this is her forever home, she will be a wonderful addition to our family.

It has now been a month since Wren arrived. She has made great progress and has ventured
downstairs now to spend her time with us day and evening.

She is following me around now and loves to play.

I thinik and hope she now knows that she is in her forever home.
I will try to update with pictures. They are on my phone and am having trouble transferring to my computer.

All in all. I am very pleased with her progress. She's such a delight.

UPDATE: July 2017

Wren has completely settled in. She is definitely a member of our family.
She loves to play and I am her playmate.. She is such a love and everyone that meets her just
loves her too.
So happy to have found her,

Miss Sylvia visited the vet last Thursday and was told she is in great health. No return of teeth problems! She weighed in at 9 1bs., 7 oz.
Miss Sylvia spends her day under the bed. She comes out more in the evening when I watch TV. "We" are working on a 1,000 piece puzzle together. She answers when I call her. She loves having her ears rubbed so I gave her a special one from the group.
I am allowed to brush her for a few minutes, two or less, and must I stop or else she bites. So respecting her tolerance, I stop.
Miss Sylvia is a delightful lady and a joy to have.

I have kept her name, Miss Sylvia, since she has had it for a very long time. She is not a cuddler which is fine with me. I enjoy her company and her conversations. She is doing very well. It seems like I have had her longer than just a month.

Miss Sylvia visited her doctor with much yowling and ado. She is fine healthwise all around. Due to her age, advanced blood tests were done to get a baseline. She did well in all areas- her body organs are functioning within normal range.
Miss Sylvia continues to entertain me with her distinct likes and dislikes. She is a wonderful companion!

Miss Sylvia had her yearly checkup yesterday. She has lost a few ounces which is good. She was a little chunky last year. Everything is within the normal range. She has a new diet food Renal P which she has taken to immediately.
Miss Sylvia has started using her cat condo unit to watch all the comings and going of our neighbors. We are in an apartment complex so there is a lot to see. She ignored the unit until this year. Slow to try new things, but she is willing to explore her options on her time table.
Miss Sylvia is a wonderful companion for me. So until next year, she is happy, content and talkative.

Miss Sylvia has been to the vet for her yearly checkup. She shown improvements in some area of her metabolism. She has become a little more affectionate with me. She now kisses my eye when I am on the couch. She watches TV with also. I guess this year has been very good year for us!!
Miss Sylvia passed away today due to failing kidneys. A very sad day!

My name means beauty and I am a beautiful little girl with little white shoes. It will be 6-8 weeks before my sisters and I are ready for a forever home. We are lucky enough to have our mama with us to teach and watch over us. Who will be the lucky one to get one of us?

Hi everybody!! My new name is "Sushi". My meowmy says I am Sushi because of my white paws, so I'M fish WITH rice:-). I think she's silly, but I like my new name. My sister and I love our new place too - so much to play with!! When we are sleepy, our meowmy always gives us a warm lap to sleep on and when we're hungry ( and we really let her know ) she gives us a tasty meal!

Today we went to our new vet. I can do without these vet visits. I don't like all the poking and prodding and I DEFINITELY don't like the shots! Thank goodness in was only one distemper shot. We will have to go back in around 4 to 6 months for our rabies shot. I'm not looking forward to that! The good news is that we are both very happy and healthy kittens :-)

My precious Sushi died yesterday. I don't know why. She must have been sick. I brought both girls up with me to visit my parents in Stuart as we have done before. The ride was rather uneventful. When I got there, I took bothcarriers in but left the cats on their carriers until I brought in everything else and set up the litter boxes. My mother said she heard one of the girls sneezing but then e heard some sounds that were not normal. When I opened Sushi's carrier she was on her side drawing her last breath. I took her out and gave her mouth to snout, but only heard gurgling. We brought her to the E-vet and they said she had passed but could not say why. The only thing I can think of is she had developed hiccups in the last 3 months (we were just at the vet in April), but they always went away. Sashimi is fine. I am utterly beside myself with grief.

Sushi and Sashimi are getting so big!! They love to play with the laser light, but they're a little frustrated that they can never seem to catch it :-p Eating like little piggies as you can see in one picture ;-) They get plenty of play time and snuggle time with Mama (me), but when Mama is not available, they have each other. Their wrestling is better than watching WWF!!
In about another month or so, I will be taking them to the vet for their first rabies shot. Necessary evil, I guess.
Linus was wrong. Happiness is not a warm blanket.
Happiness is two warm, purring kitties on your lap :-D

Greetings, Humans.

I am Zeus, a stunning seal point wedgie. I am tall, dark and very handsome. I'm a big boy -- very long and lean. I like to talk, especially to make my wishes known.

Here's what my foster mom says about my purrsonality:
Zeus likes to be near his person -- likes to sit on the couch with me while I'm reading or watching TV. He also parks himself in my lap for as long a visit as he can, or drapes himself over any other part of me that's available. Zeus climbs into bed with me when he wants to cuddle. Although he likes to be with people, he's not clingy. He likes to explore and has climbed on just about every elevated surface in my house. Zeus interacts well with other cats. If another cat hisses at him, he doesn't hiss back or get upset, just backs off. His expression seems to say "What's your problem? I just want to be friends." He's outgoing yet laidback. He becomes more friendly and affectionate every day.

If you want a very friendly, outgoing, laidback hunk of a cat who likes to talk, I'm the one for you.

Notes from Home
At his third anniversary with us, Zeus is still quite the outgoing cat! When he is not sleeping (his sleep is very little), he just has to be with someone. He is quite vocal also until he gets your attention, your petting, or your lap. I think I have mentioned before that he is pretty sharp also. He knows how to open interior doors by jumping up and hanging on the handle while his weight pulls the door open.

Right now he is sitting on my lap, humming, just waiting for his rubs, Oops, there was just a head push to let me know I am being inattentive. We both here just love and cherish Zeus. He is quite the guy!

I will try to attach a couple of pics. One will be of Zeus actually relaxing with Bella, his sister. Another has Zeus after crashing and finally taking a time out.

Zeus is doing well, loves his lap time, and head rubs. He is showing his age a bit, becoming more vocal as he ages and demanding more dedicated time. About a year ago he became very sick and we almost lost him. The thought was that he was undergoing kidney failure but subsequent tests have all come up negative. I think it was separation anxiety as my wife and I were traveling. As a result we board him at the vets when we are away. They love his vocalizing. He also gets to ride on the techs' shoulders sometimes. A previous pic shows him with a tech. I have no recent pictures but will take some and then upload.

Happy 7th anniversary to Zeus being with us. He is doing fine. He is a very needy Siamese, always needing to be with or around someone. He certainly has his routine. He loves to lay on your lap (as he is now) or sit on your legs when they are stretched out. As for health, he visits the vet annually for his checkups and immunizations. In fact he just recently completed one. Other times he gets checked over when we board him at the vets, maybe once or twice a year. The folks at the vet love him. He often rides around on necks as they go about their work. I have attached a recent photo taken today on his seventh anniversary.
