I was pulled from a hoarder situation and am still a little unsure of myself but Foster Meowm says I'm slowly gaining my self-confidence. I will need a feline companion in my furever home as well as adopter who is willing to give me some extra time to adjust to all the changes in my life.

I'm ready to go now so if you're interested, don't hesitate to hit that Ask About Me button !

Notes from Home
After many years of a long and presumably happy life Java has moved on. The last few months were difficult for him with arthritis and the newer medications seemed to have help alleviate some of his pain. He took comfort in the last few years with his companion boys Charlie and Mozart while Kaylee remained fairly aloof. Thanks again for helping me to adopt Java over 16 years ago.

BISU
I settled in faster than my Brother and will allow my tummy to be tickled!

My favorite toy is a small spring which I will bring back to you.

I have to go home with my brother of 3 years Parker.

Notes from Home
6/3/2018: Bisu is having some trouble adjusting to changes in our lives. I was unemployed for 6 months and she got used to me being home all day, and now that I'm back at work, she seems bored and not content. I pet her and play with her, but she is eating too much and has gained weight. I discussed it with the vet and he thinks she is bored.
At his suggestion, I'm only putting out a set amount of dry food instead of a full bowl. We'll see how it goes.

Bisu has fully settled in and is doing well. She loves to play and frequently brings me a spring to throw for her, although I have discovered this is sometimes a rouse to either get me to pet her or feed her. She is not as much of a lap cap as her brother, but she she loves to be petted and will chirp at me to get my attention.

Bisu passed away in October 2022. The vet thinks her heart stopped; she was fine one minute and gone the next. There was no time for intervention, but she died quickly and was not in pain.

Notes from Home

9/18/23 - it's been about 7 years with fawn (i can't believe it!) and she's doing wonderfully! highly independent, but she is still obsessed with the same wand toy that she came home with (of course, we've gone through many of them since her adoption). she hangs out with me most days while i'm working, either sitting on my desk, sleeping on my lap, or standing in front of my computer screen. she also has recently learned (decided?) that she LOVES a belly rub.

we love her very much, she is truly filled with so much life and spunk!!

--

dancer (now fawn) is doing wonderful! she stays at my side all of the time, and is endlessly curious as to what is happening. she always greets guests when they arrive, and loves to sit in the window and watch people walk by during the day (especially when the window is cracked and she can smell all of the smells!). her favorite toy is her wand toy that siri sent her home with- she loves to drag it around the house and bring it into bed with her. she is still a bit unsure about whether or not she wants to snuggle, but is slowly warming up to cuddles. she LOVES head scritches and will give your hand a loving swat if you're close enough and not scratching her head. she has a great attitude and is such a delight to be with <3

KOBE
What do you mean I'm a little bit of a naughty boy :) Just because I love to play in the water, just because I love to explore where no cat has gone before, just because I'm the size of a small dog and can reach heights no Meezer has ever aspired to before - I'm just loving life! There's not a mean bone in my body, but lots of fun loving ones, and oh, okay, if you must know the truth, maybe a mischievous one. I would be happy to be the only cat if you have older kids who would love to play with me, I would be happy to be a play buddy (Nikita and I have a great time - want to do a two for one?) if you need a playmate. I have all the wonderful personality characteristics (curious, outgoing, fear nothing) of a Siamese, so that's what you should want!

Notes from Home
Goji (Kobe's forever name) is doing great in New Zealand. His companion Momo sadly died a few years ago, but Goji has little brother Gritty for company, who he mostly tollerates. I'm also heavily involved in cat rescue and fostering and Goji is excellent at teaching kittens manners. He's such a gentleman. Being a giant of a cat he has developed pretty severe arthritis in his elbows but his new treatment is making a huge difference and he's quite the spry old man. His kidney values are just starting to slip so we're on a renal diet now (and off metacam), but at his age that's not uncommon.

I just reread his original description which is still so incredibly spot-on for this big guy. He's still super friendly, and still hates being picked up, but he does sleep on top of me, and is super affectionate. He even likes tummy rubs. He's been such a wonderful addition to our household and we just love him so much.

REBA
Hi, I'm Bambi. My first foster mom gave me that name because my tail is only three inches long-just like a little deer! My personality is as sweet as the real Bambi. Right now I'm a little cautious of my new surroundings.
I like to walk around the house and head butt foster mom and the resident cats. I will let you hold me and pet me on your lap. As time goes on, I'm becoming less shy, and spend more time relaxing on the bed.

I would do well in a quiet home. I don't have to be the only cat, as long as there is no bully. I've been through a lot, maybe that's why I look so sad, and sound like I'm crying when I talk.. Someone declawed my tiny little front feet, then abandoned me outside. I was found living in a parking lot with a feral colony. Somewhere along the way, my tail was damaged and had to be removed, except for the last three inches. That's a lot of trauma for a tiny five pound cat! Can you blame me for being a little cautious in my new surroundings?

I deserve a loving, forever home. Will it be yours?

Notes from Home
Reba has developed personality and charm as the years have progressed. Now she is focused on keeping me and my husband on her strict schedule, which among other things does not allow sleeping in past 7:04 am or providing lap access in the evenings on the couch. She is very vocal and gently insistent and has completely bewitched our neighbor cat-sitter, so no trouble getting help when we travel.

On the health side, she seemed to have developed a flea allergy and scratched and chewed herself raw in the first year until the vet prescribed immune suppressing meds (cyclosporine). Now for the last year she has been chronically snuffly and sneezy, despite clear lungs and some efforts at antibiotics and backing off the immune supressant.

Regardless, she is a delight and a charmer.

Curiously, she took almost 5 years of enticement to become at all interested in any cat toy, settling on a feathered thingy on a string that I jerk around to mimic prey. On the other hand, since we are in Florida, and occasionally get small lizards in the house: these stand no chance against her hunting skills.

She still weighs less than 7 pounds and is a fussy eater, but looks good and gets good care at her vet. And yes, they all love her too.

She is so unlike my previous Siamese: gentle versus aggressive, food fussy versus food hound, clingy versus selective, quiet versus lots of cat hobbies. Both have been great friends and family members though.

*************************************
Our beloved Reba died October 8, 2020. She was put to sleep due to squamous cell carcinoma that had consumed one side of her face and caused ongoing pain. Although she received annual checkups and lots of medical interventions for apparent allergy, cat acne, chronic sneezing with bloody discharge, and so on, her cancer was detected when facial swelling and loose teeth were detected. Looking back, however, I wonder if she had been suffering from cancer and pain throughout the 8 years she lived with us. Her food fussiness and lack of chewing and preference for "gravy" suggest this. The only time she ate like a wolf was the day she came home from her last dental appointment, still under the influence of the pain meds.

We loved her. Her cat sitters next door did too. She was a treasure.

ELLE
Let me 'splain myself.
Yup I'm older, yup I'm quite lovely, yup I talk and talk and talk - quite loudly too I might add.
Do you enjoy going to the doctor? Do you enjoy being poked and prodded? Now be honest - is this something you look forward to like birthdays, Thanksgiving or Christmas?
Well....neither do I!!! I enjoy it so much vets run from the exam room screaming while clients waiting in the wings call 9-1-1.
I might weigh about 6 pounds but I can put fear into any person (wearing a lab coat) with my screaming, cussing, cursing, fur flying, claw whipping and teeth gnashing while an examination by a medical professional is being attempted.
I always win those battles - always have and most likely always will (it's the screaming that does them in).
But get me back home and I'm purring, headbutting and back to being my loving self.
So....my future looks like it'll be that of just letting me be who I am and perhaps if I'm unconscious a vet exam would be in order; but doctors!!!! It's not likely (although I am told they do have drugs that would make me unaware of what is going on.
If this doesn't phaze you in the least check me out.

LILYPOD
I was born in Scotland! I came from a breeder who suddenly past away. I have lived with several cats and love, love gentle cats that curl up with me.

Foster says I am a great all around cat. Started out liking cats more than people but now that I have gotten settled in, I am showing I like people too. I will purr and coo up a storm when pet.

I love to play with a wand toy, use a scratching post, no fuss for travel, nail clipping - you name it, I am good with it. I "honk" at you when I want attention or food. Gets along fine with male and female gentle cats. No politics here.

She is eating well a prescription kibble for her kidneys and loves wet and dry food. She is perfect in the litter box and will use any of the boxes around foster's house - not at all picky.

Sweet, gentle, senior cat who is going to make someone very happy. Check out my videos.

TULIP
Hi! I'm Tulip. Meom says I'm as beautiful as a spring tulip too!
I was really scared before coming here to my foster meom. I didn't know whether I would ever have a safe, comfy home ever again. But my Tia kept me company as we wander for a day. Some nice neighbor brought us back inside.
Then we went to a shelter! Whoa! I didn't like it at all. Then we went to the vet! I didn't like that either. Then our new foster meom came to get us out of there. So it took me a little while to settle in here but everything is wonderful now.
She feeds me and talks to me sweetly! Now I feel better, safer.
Maybe you can be my furever person though. Meom says I will be loved by a very devoted peoples next and never be left to fend for myself again.

Notes from Home
It took a few days for Tulip to warm up to me. She was mad at me for taking her away from her foster mommy. She is now my buddy and will snuggle with me.
Tulip has meet her brothers, Rockport and Lionel. She is ignoring them but everything is fine. Rockport really loves her and likes to be with her. They kind of hang out together. Lionel ignores her and stays away from her for now. I am so glad I got to adopt Tulip. I love her. I want to thank everyone who helped to make this happen!
Sept.15th,2016
Tulip is such a joy. She has taken over the roll as Lady of the House, she did have big paws to fill! Rockport and her are getting use to each other. They always eat together and sometimes even sleep on my bed together. Occasional growling and hissing, but less and less. Lionel and Tulip totally ignore each other. Lionel stays on the first floor and Tulip likes to stay on the second floor where her domain is. She loves to cuddle and be kissed. Tulip likes to knead on my neck but it does not fell too good. I have to bear with it so I don't hurt her feelings. I love her so much!
2/11/17 I am so lucky I was the one who got to adopt Tulip. She is such a character. She rules the boys and lets them know when she is not satisfied with them. She met Precious, my husband's 22 year old female Blue Point. They like each other. I had Tulip to the vets for blood work 2 months ago and everything came back normal. She is still very active, uses the cat tree, and loves her cat nip bags. She still kneads on my neck, still does not feel too good..but I am getting use to it. Her deep meezer meow is awesome. We love her! Thank you all...Apryl & Chris

What a wonderful year it has been living with Tulip. She still runs the house, keeps her brothers in line and helps take care of her older sister. Tulip is an amazing little girl...a busy body, and we love her. She was to the vets a few months ago for shots and a senior blood workup, everything came back normal. Thank you Carol for being a great foster Mommy, Kathy, Lisa, Siri, and all the people at Siamese Rescue who helped with the rescue of Tulip and all the Siamese Babies. Apryl& Chris

AMORETTE
No one knows how it happened, but somehow I wound up outside, pregnant and all alone. The next thing I knew I was in a cage in a scary place with lots of other crying kitties and was poked and prodded and stuck with a needle. I was really scared there. Then Foster Meowm came and said a nice little girl like me didn't belong in a place like that so within days, I was here. After being put through the water torture - not once but twice ! - and being poked and prodded again, I wasn't too sure this was a very good place either. Then there was the scary trip to the vet the next day where I was poked and prodded a third time and stuck with two needles this time. To top it all off, I was back to the vet three days later, stuck with ANOTHER needle and then woke up with a very sore tummy where they had cut me !! I didn't know what was happening and was really scared. Once again Foster Meowm showed up and brought me home and has promised that I won't get any more needles for a long time. Lots of good food, gentle pets, and a soft bed to curl up in have me thinking it was worth it.

I purr and headbutt and make biscuits when I'm held but with all that's happened I still want to hide when I'm out of my safe zone. Foster Meowm says it's only temporary and that I'm soon going to have a furever home - one where I'll be loved and cherished every day - is it yours ?

Notes from Home
After a happy 13 years together it was time to say goodbye. Amorette was diagnosed with an abdominal mass in April 2022 and it was suspected to be lymphoma. She passed today in her home. I will miss her. Mara

6/14/11
I have had little Amorette for 2 years!!! She is doing so well now. In the last 6 months she has come more out of her shell. She has always been a little skittish, but now she will let me bend down and pet her with a little coaxing while before she would just run away and then come close and run away again. She loves to be brushed and petted definitely in the morning and at night plus during the day too and she is much more bold about it. I love her so much!

Mara

7/16/09
Amorette has actually been doing surprisingly well with strangers. She will come out to see them, not close enough to touch, but definitely peaking her head around the corner, seeing who is there, and coming just out of touching range.

I plan on keeping my door propped open at night so that she will be able to come and go while I sleep. To this point though, she does not use much force to go through doors; my bed room door closed accidentally one day while she was in the kitchen, and she didn't try very hard to push it open, or so it seemed. I will plan to leave it open enough so she can come and go.

I am trying to brush her regularly and keep an eye on her in terms of hairballs. She did cough a few nights ago, but I havent seen any vomit anywhere yet.

Also, she is doing much better at being held. I pick her up and give her a treat, or pick her up and start brushing her and she seems to be less agitated, and then wants to get down. But when I put her hand under her she used to start to run, and now she doesn't, she just lets me pick her up.

I had been leaving food on the counter for it to get to room temp if it had been in the fridge, and twice, I had found her up on the counter tops. I scolded her because the only place I am not ok with her jumping up is the kitchen. She then got more skittish and was a little scared to be as playful, but I suspect that is normal.

She is talking more, mostly around feeding time when she is hungry, but sometimes at other times. She makes this funny little noise, like a mini meow when she is sitting in my window watching something outside. One thing I get nervous about is there are 3 Ferrel cats in this neighborhood and when she sees them, sometimes she goes ballistic, I wish they weren't around.

She is curious about the door to the front when it is closed, but I say No loudly when she goes near so that hopefully she never gets the idea to go out when it is open.

The last thing to tackle is the nail clipping. She will let me get as far as pushing her nail out and then she pulls away. I may just need to be a little more force full, but in the back of my mind I guess I dont want to be bitten. My experience with nail clipping was my friends cat you could just hold on your lap and gently push the nail out and she didn't squirm a bit so this is new.

Also, I attached a new pic of her in her favorite spot on my bed :)

Mara

PS: Just went into my Bedroom while the pictures were uploading and saw she threw up on my rug. I guess that I am going to have to regularly treat the hairballs...
