LUCY
Quiet, but opinionated lady. No need to worry about what I want - I will let you know in with an imperative MEOW!, or even a yowl if I don't like something. Luckily, what I want the most of is your attention. I'm a head-butting, cheek-rubbing, leg-winding fool. In fact, if you aren't petting me, I'll wind and rub against anything else in the area, until you do. I'm not really a lap cat, but I like to settle near my people. I am pretty energetic, although I don't seem to like to climb very much. Some of that energy comes out when I play, so I can be a bit rough with teeth and claws. A strong No! from foster mom reminds me that I need to back off a little. I haven't actually bitten anyone, but it is one of my communication styles. So I wouldn't be good with young children or the thin-skinned - at least until I learn better manners. Update: now that I have settled into this new place, I am much better with my teeth and claws - more like any other cat. I've been getting more and more affectionate and really, really want attention from people, even strangers.

Notes from Home
`hi all
I will try this again. My last update did not go through.
Lucy continues to integrate well into ou household. She and Harry are getting more and more familiar daily. She is still skittish when he gets too close but they are sharing a litter box and eating in the same area. Lucy continues to explore but still seems to prefer the comfort of my study where she was originally in isolation. She is very playful and loves a range f new toys.
Lucy passed her vet check with flying colors. Her ears continue to have some debris and bacteria so we were sent home with a cleaner and ear drops. The vet noticed some slight irregularities in her kidneys and she did not take well to palpating them. The vet isn't worried but wants us to keep an eye out for any signs of urination problems.
Thanks so much for the care you all provided in her rescue, fostering, and placement. We are so happy to have her in our family!
9/20/17 Lucy is doing great one month after adoption. She is eating, drinking and using the litter box well and she is very affectionate with us. She still is wary with Harry and most often will hiss and swipe at him if he gets too close. We have been trying to get them more used to each other through joint play (see video if the upload comes through). We're so happy to have her in our home.

Summer is doing great. Having Tristan here helped her when she first came to her home. She has a great sense of humor and is very brave!
Thank you,

TRISTAN
I am a little under the weather at the moment with an upper respiratory infection. Still looking a mess from the eye ointment and the ear meds but starting to feel better.

BINGO
I'm a very handsome lynx boy with very pretty blue eyes.
I've integrated with the resident kitties here and am doing great. I even get along with the ones that don't like me - I just avoid them! Sometimes I play a little rough, so I can't be adopted with small children. But I do enjoy being held and love head rubs - I'll let you know when I've had enough rubbing and usually walk away.
I'm not a clingy boy, but I really do enjoy my human companions. I just like things my way - I'll sit on your lap if I want to, and sometimes I might just go and sit in the window and watch the birds. I do things at my own pace and how I like them - I'm just a typical Lynxie ..... and I sure like talking to you, too!

Notes from Home
Hello everyone. I am still here with my meowme in my home for the past 9 years. It's been a pretty good life. I am still Mom's Bingo Boy and have finally mellowed out. When I came to her, I was quite aggressive and didn't know the proper way to ask for attention.
Now I know to sit down by her chair and either speak or reach out and pat her with my paw. Conversely, Mom has learned the signs that I've had enough attention. I'm not a lap cat which is good because I am a sturdy boy tipping the scales at 19 pounds.
My vet would like me to lose a little weight, but that's hard given my special low protein diet. The vet thinks that as long as I can jump and play with the bird wand toy, I'll be ok. I had a sister for a while, but she passed away this spring. I missed her for a month or so, but now I enjoy being the only cat. LIfe is good. Thank you for recognizing my anniversary with my mom. This surely is better than living on the streets.

MILKY WAY
I'm just a little unsure at first, but enjoy pets and attention. I love to play with my sisters, so will require a playmate, but a male would be best. I think I might like a home on the quieter side to go along with my more gentle nature. Don't forget to ask about me!

Notes from Home
We love her. She has cleared lots of cobwebs from the corners of the house. She has some favorite toys and is easily entertained! Our older cat is doing pretty well, she would like him to play and chase things, not just trot away luckily no growling or other skirmishes.

Notes from Home
Today we are celebrating one year with Ninja! He is the best and sweetest cat, and we could not imagine life without him. He loves to cuddle. play fetch, lay in the sun, and "assist" us with household tasks, and cuddle more. We are so happy with Ninja in our lives, and he is definitely a part of the family.

Foster Notes for Odin [VA7164] |
Odin is a nice kitty, he loves attention and he loves to play, but he can play a little rough at times. And he is right now simply to curious to be a lap cat (that may change in a furever home). |

COPPER
Hi there!
My name is Odin and I'm looking for a good home. I'm a 3 or so year old flame point who really likes people!!! In fact I'd pretty much rather get attention than do anything else, even eat! You could say that I am enthusiastically affectionate and playful.
Foster Paw thinks that I will be good with girl kitties (I play footsie with the cute lilac point here!), other boy will probably be OK as well. I have excellent litter box skills and I really like to move around, I love exploring and jumping around the foster room here, I also adore toys like balls & fur mice!
My only thing is that I can play kind of roughly, which means I should really go to a home without any younger children, teens are OK however (as long as they will play with me that is).
I'm ready to go home right now!!!
Today!!
As soon as you click on "Ask about me"!
Purrs!

Notes from Home
Copper is well adjusted after 6 months. He has been a welcome addition to our home and to the other Siamese Topaz. They are in a brother-sister relationship - sometimes they get along really well, other times, they find each other annoying!
Copper just passed his 1 year anniversary with us and is doing great. He is an active cat who runs around like crazy but then when he settles down, he is very affectionate. My granddaughter likes to come over just to see my cats!
At his four year anniversary, Copper is still doing wonderfully. He is a dear sweet but yet mischievous cat.
Copper has been with me for 7 years now and continues to do well and has a happy life. He just had his teeth cleaned last month and his teeth are looking great.

Sweet teddy bear of a guy! |

Notes from Home
What can I say about Beamer? I wanted to rename him Moose when I got him because he's such a big guy, but since he was a bit older I didn't want him to be confused so I kept his original name. He's a lover for sure. While he isn't a lap cat and only tolerates me holding him for a few minutes, he is extremely people-friendly and as the saying goes, he's never met a stranger. He would be a terrible watchcat. :) He loves rubbing up against people's legs, being petted and having his chin rubbed. On a recent trip to see family he hissed and growled at the family dog while at the very same time seeking attention from my family members wanting to be petted. He wanted to make sure the dog knew to stay away, but wasn't going to give up his "me time". I need to catch it on video one of these days, but he has the sweetest meow when he's being talkative.
We still have challenging days with my female who I had for many years before Beamer came home with us, but for the most part they get along (or tolerate) one another. And he's recently gone through a bit of a trouble-making phase where he's broken some glasses that I left out. Overall though, he's a wonderful cat and I'm so happy that I brought him to live with us. My life is definitely more complete with him in it.

Update a/0 Sept 19,2017
Igloo is doing great he as you know was diagnosed with a heart ailment we had him to the cardiologist in May of 17 they did a number of tests and they reported that he was doing great and the disease is manageable. He went for his annual physical last week Sept9 and his regular vet said that his heart murmur has gone from a 3 to a 1.5 in fact she could hardly hear it and he was excited. Doesn't like to visit the vet even though both the cardiologist and primary vet spoil the hell out of him.
He is on Prozac but I administer it to him three times a week told the vet I dont want to mask his personality too much. Prima has bonded well with him both cats must detect that they are Siamese. Igloo is very protective of his dad when he sits on my lap he invariably moves such that his butt is placed by my face and he is staring out a sign the vet says is that he is watching out for predators. We love him and he is spoiled. As they say dogs have masters cat have staff. One more thing for Siri I framed the water color we bought at her home last year and I will take a picture of it and post it later
