JONAH
Oh what a tale I have to tell.
My Mom left us last fall to go to Heaven - me and my buddy Violet (VA7608). In November, her grandson took us to the Daytona Humane Society where we were placed with a local rescue. Violet made out great - she's staying with the foster and sleeping with her 8 year old son.
I went to another foster and escaped out the doggie door before Christmas. My foster Mom found out about all this in February and with the help of evaluator Helene and transporter Harriet, they started looking for me. I was in Ormond Beach and somebody spotted me mid-February. But then nothing until April 14. Ormond Beach Animal Control Officer Champion brought a trap over and I was caught in an hour (Officer Champion is that good!) April 16. I was back in Merritt Island on the 17th and had a bath on the 18th. Yuck.
So the videos are on the 19th. The vet said she couldn't believe what great shape I was in for having been outside for five months.
I'd be happy to tell you all about it and see if you've got a place I can call home. No more outside for me!
Love
Joey

Notes from Home
I am Jonah! My mom says I am her tall, dark, handsome guy! I am feeling at home here at last and life is good! I am getting pets, neck and head scritches, and FOOD! I get all of those things here. Mom says I'm a bit of a pig, but I think she is just teasing me. I did have to go to vet recently, and that was a bad experience. First of all I got car sick and puked and pooped in the carrier. Then I got it all over me.! It was terrible!! Then they washed me at the vet! Then they stuck something in my private area and clipped my nails! Boy, that was a bad day! Mom said I got car sick last year too, so she will find a vet who makes home visits to take care of me from now on. Regardless of all of that, I got a clean bill of health!
I'm so happy that my sister Ruby likes me now. I am over 14 lb. and Ruby is barely 7 lb. and mom laughs when we are together; she says we are such a cute pair. My older brother Miles still doesn't like me, but I mostly ignore him. I'm hoping one day my charm and good looks will win him over.
So I just wanted everyone to know that things are good here. I have a home!!

For a guy who isn't much of a go-getter,Jonah has had an eventful year. In February, he fell out of an upstairs window when he accidentally pushed out the screen. After many tears, many miles logged looking for him, and many dollars spent for search and catch tools, Jonah gave up and "let" me catch him after 16 days. Jonah thanks The Lost Catfinder for helping us search the right way! Although a couple of pounds lighter, even with the addition of fleas, he was in good health. This was confirmed by his new mobile vet who he now sees because he suffers from motion sickness.
Just two short weeks later, Jonah lost his big brother, Miles (VA2269). As difficult as this was, I was happy I wasn't still obsessing about Jonah's safety. Since then, Jonah has become more affectionate, probably because doesn't have to compete with Miles for attention.
Jonah is a very sweet boywho hangs out a lot with his sister Ruby Dee (VA7757) His favorite things are FOOD, sleep, and pets! I am so glad he is back where he should be!

LEIA
Pick MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Young, outgoing, curious, interactive. My owner (uninterested in the spay bill) sent me to the shelter who luckily called Rescue and now here I am hopping ready to go home. So far just about any home will work, I don't seem to have too many hang ups!

SAMANTHA
My previous home had far too many other animals for me to be happy. I am looking for a home that needs a Seal Goddess to worship. Let me know if you are interested and I will determine if you are worthy of a girl like me.

Notes from Home
It's been 4 weeks since Samantha travelled all the way from South Carolina to her new home in NYC, and she is doing really well! After a very traumatic initial adjustment, she has emerged as an energetic, loving, playful girl and she continues to make more progress every day!
It's been about 6 weeks since I adopted Samantha and she's doing really well! When I first got her, she initially spent most of her time hiding in a bathroom or cowering in corners, hissing at, swatting and biting anyone who got near her. Over time, she's stopped hiding, cowering and hissing completely! She still swats and bites once in a while, but it seems like she only reacts this way when she's approached suddenly, and the intensity of it has changed, in that now, even when she does it, the homicidal intent seems to be gone! 😀 These days, she spends all her time playing with toys, snuggling up to "her" humans and...this is new over the past week or so...talking!!! Seems like each day, she becomes happier and more confident!
It's been almost 3 months since I adopted Samantha and she is a big lovebug! She has a ton of energy and loves playing with her new toys from the Siamese Rescue Store (and she continues to completely ignore her Millie bed!)
Samantha is really happy! She's come a long way from the terrified, traumatized, angry, hissing, biting, swatting cat I first met almost 4 months ago. Now, she plays for hours, loves to eat, and is affectionate, talkative and full of purrs and love. I've added a few new pics!
June 19, 2018 update:
Today is the 3 year anniversary of the day I adopted Samantha. She’s doing so well; she’s happy, secure, healthy, loving, playful and really adorable. New pics attached.

HOLLY
Gorgeous, vocal, outgoing and attention seeking - look no further, you've found me! I can tolerate another cat if I must, but I'd prefer to be the center of your world. Ask about me today!

Notes from Home
I can’t believe it has already been a month since Holly arrived! We changed her name from Heidi to Holly because she came right before Christmas. She has settled right in and is very outgoing. She greets anyone who comes to the door and headbutts them if they don’t reach down and pet her. We think she must have been an outdoor cat because unless we watch carefully she tries to get out the door.
Her one bad habit is that she occasionally tries to nip you. We can’t figure out exactly when and why she does it. She loves to lie spread-eagled on the floor in the sun. We have never had a cat that did that before. We have a shelf in a sunny window that she loves to get up on and watch the birds at the bird feeder. She loves the toys that she brought with her, especially the banana! The vet gave her a small green fish that is also one of her favorites. The wand with the long knit tassel on it is also a winner. Having gone from “geezer meezers†to a younger cat has been a real change for us. She still has the energy to like to play. When I get up in the morning, I find her toys all over the house! She has had a busy night! She comes to the side of the bed in the morning and meows for her breakfast. She has had a couple of food “upchucks†but nothing recently. I am still using the bag of Science Diet Sensitive Stomach.
She is the heaviest meezer we have ever had. Her body shape is definitely more stocky than other meezers. But she has the coloring and blue eyes and personality of a meezer.
June 18, 2018- Holly is unlike any other Meezer we have had! She is the 4th meezeer. The other meezers, two of which were purebred and one was adpted from SR. Holly is very heavy, especially her back end! We call her "fat cat". We have not had a fat Siamese before. When she plays or wants attention, she rolls on to her back. We have never had a cat do that before. In addition, she bites if you get your hand too close to her mouth. We have had no luck in getting that behaviour to stop. At one point I thought we might adopt a second meezer but when I thought about Holly's personality, I realized it just wouldn't work. She wants undevided attention and wouldn't like having to share with another cat.

TRIXIE
The bad news? I've been returned to rescue, after two years. The good news? I've been returned after two years. I am back where I started, and foster mom is 'recycling' my old pictures for now. I haven't changed much - I'm a petite seal female, outgoing but not a lap cat but will sit in your lap when I am allowed to crawl into it on my own. I love brushing and pets - an Temptations treats! And - most important - I do NOT like other cats, and want to be your one and only. I do have my quirks - foster mom will tell you about them - but don't we all?
Now that I am back to being friends with foster mom again (I am very outgoing once I get over hiding for a couple days when there is a big change in my life) she will get some new pictures of me and a movie, but I still look exactly like the pictures she saved from last time! I am petite, and very cute.

Notes from Home
4/6/18 Trixie is still settling in at her two week anniversary. When we first got her home she ran and hide under the family room recliner. She is hiding under the recliner less and less now, and spends more time in her
pink bed or on the window sill. Under the recliner has become her safe spot when she is nervous.
She has taken to John and lets him pet and brush her, she would not go near him when she first came home. In the morning she
watches from the doorway as he cleans her litter box and food and water bowls. There is a picture of the cat tower he
bought her on the Monday after we brought her home, so she can play and get to the window.
She loves her treats and plays with the barnyard crocheted animals filled with catnip.
She is still very skiddish and wary of noises, cautiously checks out new things. She had an attitude the day we put her
collar on, moped around with a face, but was soon over it.
We feel she is doing really well for only two and a half weeks.
6/17/18 Trixie's 3 month anniversary!! She is doing so well, what a wonderful girl. She is laid back and loves being on the window sill looking out. She has 2 windows in the family room and can also see out the downstairs front door when it is open.
We went on a 2 week trip at the beginning of May and Trixie did very well with our pet sitters, I was worried because we had not had her that long. Kim, our one sitter, called her a diva! lol She does love her pets and brushes!! She will let you brush her for what seems like forever. She plops down on the floor, stretches out her body and says, Scratch my belly and pet me. She follows John around, greets him when he comes home and comes to get him in the morning.
She is talking more too and has the most adorable sweet little voice. We could not have asked for a better match. So far, Trixie has shown very little interest in our parrots. We will always be cautious however. Sometimes, you don't even know she is here, she is so good. She has found her forever home, love her very much!! Check out the pictures.
