Chip doing very well . Had to pass the food giver test (expanding his palate) & overcoming frequent hairball tootsie rolls. Started adding smidgen of olive oil to his food & daily brushing. Worked up to 1/4 tsp. now with every meal. Stopped hairballs completely. Made coat shiney & added to his overall stamina & weight. Eats w/vigor Wenuva Chicken & Fancy Feast if it contains anything tuna. He looks very good! Still a bit spooky w/ noises he should be accustomed to, but settling in nicely. Studies my 6 month old grand baby when I babysit. Appears gentle & curious mostly from a distance, but lingers to supervise. Is respectful of baby's things & is sociable when baby's parents return.Siamese can be protectors of family members it seems. Is not pre-occupied with entryway, but I'm always on alert there. Looks outside from windows at neighbors w/ only momentary interest. Loved playing w/ the feathers-on-an-elastic cord until he held elastic tension down too long & it bounced everywhere when he let up, scaring the daylights out of him. Sits under the Xmas tree looking up I'm sure wondering where it came from all of a sudden. Ordered Pedi-Paws, the gadget that files claws versus clipping them. Will be interestingly a challenge when it arrives. Chip has excellent litterbox standards. Only had one incident just outside his covered litter box. Chip is long & lanky. Found out his head was in inside far corner & his bum hung out just over the edge of the opening. I started laughing-mistake. A few feet away he sat down & intently watched me scoop up the poop just outside the opening. I think he understood what happened because it never happened again. To avoid embarassment, he now keeps his assets inside the box & faces out the opening. Too funny! He's always at my side or not far away. Sprawled out he is more than half my length. Hubby loves the way Chip's sleep spot warms the bed before he gets in it, then Chip becomes a leg warmer for a while. In cold Massachusetts, Chip is an energy saver we don't have to plug in for heat. He's just purrrrrfect for us & we love him!

Zapatos means shoes in Spanish. I'm a beautiful snow shoe (get it?) kitten. I love to play and love to snuggle too. I'm a happy boy and have never met a stranger. I'm outgoing, affectionate, and have purrfect manners with my litter box too.

I am so thankful for Thala (fka Zapatos)!! He is such a wonderful addition to my life. He's been here a little over a month now and boy is he settled in! He's such a goon and LIVES to please. He fetches, purrs constantly, FLYS around the room, always wants to "help" and demands undivided attention! To top it off, he is a true "host meeze" - he loves to welcome and woo guests. Now if I could only get him to stay put for a minute for a few cuddles and some lap time...
The vet's office was head-over-heels for him and gave him a perfect bill of health...and they were so impressed with the amazing, thorough, loving care that he received from Siamese Cat Rescue. Thank you so much!

My owner of 5 years kicked the bucket. That was scary.
The medical examiner came and went. That was scary.
The undertaker came and went. That was scary.
I waited patiently.
Finally some distant family member came. Oh look. A cat!
"I don't want that cat" said the man.
"I don't want that cat" said the woman.
"I don't want that cat" said the teenager.
I'm a good boy. I use my box. I eat my food. I am interested in others. I'm a wee bit confused at the last month of experiences, but nothing I can't get over.

Thai is an amazingly good boy. He loves snuggling and sleeping on my head at night (though sometimes his loud purring makes sleep a little difficult!). He also loves to play with his ball.
Whenever I take him to the vet, all the ladies like to come in and talk to him and tell him how big and handsome he is (everyone is always surprised at how big he is!). And he is great with the dogs, though he does sometimes get annoyed at them for not playing with him (which results in some very funny tail hair nips - and some very surprised dogs!).
I am so happy to have him with me.

DELILAH
This is my idea of a perfect place to be - right in someones arms. I love people. I mean I LOVE them. I run up to every human I meet, meow a hello, flop down on the floor, sofa, bed or whatever, roll around to show my sleek, lovely belly and talk -talk -talk! Im a big talker. Ive been telling my foster parents about my past, even though it makes me sad. I was someones darling then they took me to the vet for the Big E because they didnt want me anymore, so here I am in Siamese Rescue. I told you about the love part but other things you might like to know are: Im a svelte 7.8 pounds of muscle (I work out: kneading, head butting, etc.), am not a picky eater, and have perfect litter box habits. In short, I am beautiful, loving, healthy, happy and looking for someone to love me forever. Delilah was diagnosed with hypothydroid 2 yrs ago - dispite numerous tries my husband & I were not able to "pill" her or give her the liqulid medicine...she would spit it back out at us just like a ltlle kid!!! Even our vet had a hard time giving her a pill...Delilah passed away on 12/07/09 - she quit eating 2 days before & the afternoon before she quit drinking water. Technically, she died of kidney failure just plain old age. We are very sad...

12/08/09 Just a word to let y`all know that Purrsia is doing just fine . Her "pirate"right eye appears to be completely healed. She remains a bundle of energy. She has finally figured out how to get through the cat door from the glass porch which means that Priscilla has to be safely tucked away for her nap time or the running,jumping and chasing would never end. She loves to sit in my lap at the computer and try to catch the cursor as it moves around. She responds well to a no,no command but surely does as she pleases when no one is looking. She has moved into the bedroom now as it is a bit too cold on the porch. She sleeps through the night, so far so good. I think our King bed has reached it`s capacity with 2 grownups, 1grownup cat and one boss kitty. Val Edwards

Hi - my name is Socks and I'll be you know why. I have pretty white toes in the front and beautiful white "socks" on my back legs. No, no, I am not related to the former presidential cat named Socks, but I am just as beautiful as he was handsome. I promise I will grace your home in just the same presidential manner as he did, but I won't get into trouble like the former Socks did. I am a very good girl who will purr for you and headbutt you as often as you will let me. I rode in the car like a true lady and hopped out of my carrier and made myself right at home. I don't know a stranger and will make up with you just as soon as I meet you. You see, I have that Siamese beauty and the Snowshoe easy going personality. What more is there to want in a cat? Millie is doing great! She has really made this her own home. She has been nothing but a purrfect pet. She has claimed her own bed and chair. She loves the Christmas tree and is very nosey when we bring in bags of gifts. She's peeking for her own presents, I am sure. Life is good. and no complaints.
We will have a blessed and happy Christmas with our newest edition, Millie.

Sasha - such a pretty name for such a pretty petite little seal point girl.
S - SWEEt as can be and loves to be with people
A - a very AFFECTIONATE cat - so much so that it was hard to take her pictures because she was headbutting the camera so much.
S - a little SHY at first, but warms up quickly and wants lots of love
H - HAS been a mama kitty recently, but no more kittens for her.
A - AS GOOD AS IT GETS - happy to be around people, dogs and cats just an ALL around good kitty.

Just wondering why you're not asking about me. I don't want to grow up in foster care.
But, I have lots of friends here! Everybody likes me (as long as I'm not playing "attack cat"). My best buddy is the seal point in the other pictures - but I get along fine with all the kitties here and the doggy doesn't bother me at all.
I'm a good eater and use my box like a pro.

Notes from Home
I have kept Karen and Dona updated daily in the beginning and now weekly about the progress with Boots. He has really come out of his shell. He now eats and uses the same liter box as Dutch. They started napping downstairs instead of under the bed. Finally tonight, what I have been so waiting for, was seeing the two together balled up sleeping. Boots is a sweet, shy, yet loving cat. He is very interested in Schatzi ( our german shepard). They want to play together so badly but are still in the beginning stages. I suspect I will be able to capture video and pictures of them running around the house by the new year. Boots still skeptical of the kids, has become more eager to let them touch him. Boots also has come and slept with me in the middle of night. He is meowing more and more too! Ahh the gentle sounds of a siamese meow and purr! We love it! Overall, Boots is doing great. We are happy to have him part of our family.
