GLADYS
It's a new year and I have new photos! Come on over and check them out! I am sooo ready for a new home. Will you give me and my daughter, Shweetie, a home we can call furrever? I promise to give you lots of headbutts and warm your lap and heart.
I'm Gladys and 1/2 of the Dynamic Duo. My daughter and I are a bonded pair that need to be adopted together. Can you believe I'm 11 years old? We're affectionately called Meezer (Siamese) Geezers. Don't be fooled, I'm still spry and love running around our foster room. I will headbutt you to death and expect a loving lap to settle in.
Would you like to know more about me and Shweetie? Let my foster meowm know by clicking on that button! Transport is available outside the northeast area to our pre-approved adopters' homes, so ask about Meezer Express!
Purrs & Headbutts,
Gladys

| Gladys is a lovebug and enjoys a lap to warm. She enjoys telling you about her day and being held when she's in the mood. Gladys would do best in a small quiet apartment with very little activity. She can be picked up and held and have her claws trimmed, though she can be a little wiggler. She is an easy keeper. Gladys must be adopted with her daughter, Shweetie. |

Notes from Home
April 18, 2010:
Gladys is one HAPPY girl. As she definitely knows her name, we decided not to change it. She adjusted quite quickly and made this her forever home by rubbing Kent, me, and every piece of furniture, door casing, and cabinet in sight. She has had total control of the house for four weeks now. At first she and Shweetie only explored when Kent and I were not around (during the night and work hours) leaving their trail –footprints, bits of kitty litter in the window seat, my old kitty’s catnip mouse knocked off the fireplace mantel, etc. Then they got braver, zipping through the living room while we were in there, but not stopping.
Now, Gladys will join me on the sofa and snuggle up with me and/or Kent. Whenever one of us is paying attention to her she looks to the other for attention, too. Last week Gladys started getting under the covers while we are in bed and curling up in my arm – making bread and purring all the while –really cute. She has been talking to us since the first week she was home, calling, scolding (if we happen to disturb her sleep), and telling us when she wants attention. One thing Gladys continues to do, she always goes to visit Shweetie after she visits us.
Yesterday Gladys and Shweetie went for their first visit to their new vet. I covered their carrier in the waiting room so they would feel hidden from the scrambling, barky dogs that were waiting for their turns. It seemed to work, and the visit went very well. The only concerning thing the vet found was that Gladys has the beginning of cataracts (she said nothing to be alarmed about at this time.)
Today, as I am writing this, the girls have come down (almost) into my office in the basement. This is the final frontier for them here. They came down the stairs twice, the first time just to the landing and the second time all the way to the bottom, but did not come in the door – maybe the third time is the charm!? I am sure I will have computer kitties in the very near future.
October 17, 2010: Seven months!! It certainly doesn't seem like that long since those very, very shy girls come home to our house. They are sooo funny. Gladys and Shweetie have become real love bugs vying for the best lap spot. The girls are now being integrated with their new house mate Sagwa.
Wow, Gladys and Shweetie have been a part of our family for TWO years. It seems like they just arrived and yet have been with us forever - truly precious little girls.
Its been a while since I updated, the girls and Sagwa got along perfectly, eating together, sleeping next to each other. Sometimes Sagwa would steal their double pod and they would stuff themselves into a small one. He taught them to be "almost" normal cats. So they began following us everywhere and talking like real meezers. In fact, now they are pretty loud and demanding - it was great to watch that happen! Unfortunately, they lost their pal to lymphoma after only a few months.
The girls sleep with us every night, sometimes under the covers. We call Gladys "mommy dearest" because she will bite Shweetie on the butt if she is in her way. It is too funny to see.
We love them both dearly and they will be getting a new brother, Jethro, in a few days. That should keep them on their toes for a while!

YOSHI
I am waiting patiently for my own home. I am a big gentle girl who is content to be nearby if not in your lap getting head scratches and petting. I don't demand attention but I love people and am very appreciative of whatever attention you will give me. I used to live with a family with children before going to the shelter. Other cats are fine with me. If they get too frisky, I find a quiet place to hang out.
I do have a little bit of playfulness and am frustrated that I can't seem to catch that arrow that moves around on the computer screen.

Notes from Home
It's been almost two years! I am just now beginning to answer to my real name, Yoshi, because Miz Kitty was a lady on Gunsmoke, not a beautiful Siamese cat. Hello to Kay, my nice foster lady in VIrginia. The lady here has been very good to me, and I like it here. I've had some serious health problems, but she takes good care of me. In turn, I take good care of her, by following her around, and waiting patiently for my food. She tells me I am the smartest cat she has ever lived with, but sometimes I surprise her, because I can be 'full of the devil.' She also says I am the most photogenic cat. See my pictures!

ZEPHYR
My name is Zephyr and I am a stunning blue point Siamese. I love to give people and everything in my way a head butt. I am a VERY loving cat. I kept hiding in my cage at the shelter, so they thought I'd do better in rescue. I'm doing just great in my foster home. In fact, I'd much rather be "out and about" than in a foster room. Can you spring me sometime soon? I'd love to be your big blue man and love you all the time. I love the other cats and kittens here, so a buddy or two would be just fine with me. My eyes are really crossed, but foster mom says it adds to my charm. P.S. Foster mom had trouble getting pictures of me because I kept headbutting the camera and her! She'll keep trying.
UPDATE: Boy, foster mom has "really" done it now!! She promised more pictures, but she didn't say she was dressing me up like a big blue snowcat!!! Someone HAS to adopt me and get me away from this crazy lady. She thinks I'll be more "attract.....ive" all dressed up! Who is she kidding? I'm just a marvelous cat the way I am with my own blue fur coat. and NO blue snowcat hat. Love and headbutts, Zephyr.

Notes from Home
Well, the big guy with the Christmas hat has been here for 5 years, and this lady has never updated my page! Shout out to Katy in Indiana, if you still remember me. The lady here really wants to try to figure out how I wandered away from home and ended up in a shelter in the first place, because I am perfect. And, lucky me, I ended up in the best place. Now, we have this nice little lady cat...very cute, but I pretty much ignore her. I enjoy sleeping, sitting in the sun, sleeping, eating, sleeping, and protecting the nice lady here by keeping her warm at all times. Cheers!

GABY
I don't believe it ! I really don't believe it ! My sister Flare was adopted before me ! That's not fair - I'm the brave and outgoing one - she's the shy little wallflower. I'm the one who wants attention and likes laps - not her ! It's just not fair !!!
I'm young, I'm healthy, I have excellent litterbox manners and I just ooze purrsonality. Won't you go ahead and ask about me - maybe I can still win and have my furever home before Flare leaves for hers.
Foster Meowm says that I really do need a home with at least one other feline companion to romp and play with - is it yours ?

It feels like spring in Massachusetts and Gaby says to tell you she loves living by the ocean where she can smell the salt air and watch the seagulls soar outside our windows. She is a happy-as-the-day is long girl and likes nothing better than to perch on my hip while I'm sleeping and burst into a purr loud enough to wake me up. Gaby gets along especially well with flame brother Houdini and they love to chase around the house. She has one goal and that is to be an SCRC calendar girl...Isn't she cute?

| Crossed eyes - big voice - total Siamese!! She's also a needy little spitfire! She will LOVE you, but as far as other cats go, she can take them or leave them. She can startle easily, and if can have a tendency to nip if you 'don't get the message', (usually a tail swish). Great match for savvy siamese-lovers, but not a great match for children. |

WINNIE
I'm Winnie the Wonder Cat! Fostermom wonders how I ever ended up skinny and lost because she's sure someone loved me at one time. I'm alot of cats all rolled up into one - beautiful, soft, loveable, affectionate, fiesty, demanding and playful! I can shred some catnip meece like nobody's business! I love lots of pets and scritches, but my favorite activity is to play FETCH. I can play FETCH all day long. Fostermom even uploaded a video of me playing FETCH. Who needs a dog when you've got ME to play FETCH with!?! p.s. I will do best as your one and only.

Notes from Home
We have all survived Week One and Winnie has adjusted to the change from her foster home to her new forever home. The three-hour car ride was a good chance for Winnie to sleep in the carrier. As soon as the carrier door opened, Winnie took the point to explore and secure the perimeter. She decided to hide in the bathtub behind the curtain (just to be safe) and so she had her own spa with food and water and a litter pan close by.
Winnie stayed out of sight for most of her first day in her new home but she couldn't stand the peacefulness and so she came out to make sure everyone was doing well toward the evening. The first night, Winnie slept in the bathtub; the second and third nights, Winnie slept on my mother's bed on her own set of pillows. The fourth night, Winnie slept in my room on my pillows. Winnie has now settled on this rotation (without the bathtub) just to be sure everyone has enough love.
Winnie brings her toys to our feet and asks politely if we would please play. And so, my mother plays with Winnie all day and I play with Winnie after work and on the weekends. The toys are not yet broken and there are many to choose from including long packing rubber bands, a flat pebble rock, the magic wand that was packed with love by the foster mom and of course a small ball of foil. Just right for fetch!
Winnie ate wet food the first night and made a small amount of urine in the litter pan. On the second day, her urine output was average and there was a small, thin feces trace. Winnie has had a fair portion of firm, healthy stool in the litter box since the third day and continues to have average urine output.
Winnie is drinking less water than the older cats I kept last year. Paula suggested that I mix water with the wet food and I have been doing that. Belinda suggested purchasing a fountain and I have that on my list.
Even though I have a small two bedroom apartment, Winnie has not explored everything. She especially loves the hall closet and any drawer and my mother's recliner and my lap. I love that she love my lap.
Winnie seems to be pleased with us. Winnie is our new friend!!!

BELLETRIX
Finally earned my spot in a foster home & so far my new foster meowm has given me the royal treatment. Good food, nice soft place to sleep, music to keep me company since I'm in isolation. I'm looking forward to meeting the other fosters she has cause I'm not too fond of being all alone.
I'm a sweet girl & I'm looking for my perfect family...is it you?????
Don't be shy...just ask about me & my foster mom will tell you all about me!

March 2012
Bellatrix (Bella for short) is an absolute LOVE BUG. She and my son are completely inseparable - it's a total two-way love affair. He carries her around like a baby and she is the MOST chill, laid back cat I've ever seen. Absolutely obsessed with bags and boxes, she can entertain herself for hours after a grocery run when I leave the paper bags strewn on the floor - it's like one big playland! She and her brother Lucius are both just over 11 pounds now and will sing for us in the morning for their special "wet" food. The dry kibbles are left out all day, so they're never STARVING, but I can't think about making my coffee before I've fed them their special treat. The two of them have really bonded well and it's a true sibling relationship - chasing and attacking each other one moment, then curled together on the sofa the next. We LOVE our babies :)

MITTZI
HUG ME, PLEASE!!
I was lost outside and wasn't able to find my owner. Soon after, I was adopted, but then found myself returned to do something called an allergy.
I'm healthy, I'm young and my feetzies are cute.
I play, I run and my feetzies are cute.
I come with great litter box habits, big appetite and my feetzies are cute.
I just want to be near you and keep you warm at night. So if you are looking for a 10lb bundle of purring warmth, with cute feetzies - then ask about me. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
Many purrs and belly rolls,
Mittzi

Can't believe it's been a year now since Mittzi came home! She is such a sweet girl and we all love her sooooo much!!
She warms our laps and sucks all our energy away :). She "helps" when I am knitting. She babysits us all and won't go to bed until all her humans are tucked in. Our daughters love her soft "bunny fur-angora" belly. We think she's awesome and what else can you say? She was a purrrrfect match for us.
She had her annual checkup and is doing great. We did put her on a vitamin to help keep her heart strong since she's got a little murmur.

ARTEMIS
Hi Fredericka here but you can call me Freddy, Wow foster mom has got to get a better picture of me. I guess Val and I am just having too much fun running around the foster room. I am a bit smaller then my brother Val - but I can tussle with the best of the kittens.
I have learned to eat, (YUM) play, climb the cat tree and leap off onto my brother Valley, cuddle up with him, eat some more, and use that litter box like a champ. Did I say I like to eat!!!! I will need some time to grow a lot more. I guess you can call me a tom girl kitty right now. I do have some pretty white gloves and socks on my paws You will have to be willing to wait for me to grow up a bit before I go home. Foster mom says I should be ready to go home the end of January
I just love my brother and would like to go to my fur-ever home with him when it is time. You see I will need to have a fur buddy to keep me company. Valley fits the bill perfectly.
Buddy requirements: eat, play, leap from tall cat trees, sleep cuddled up with, eat and play some more.
Watch out for my pictures and video... Foster mom is having a hard time getting pictures of us being still. Shes got to be fast to catch a flying kitten.
Signed Freddy

Notes from Home
We have changed Fredericka's name to Artemis. Artemis is the name of the Greek goddess of the hunt. Artemis is settling in very well to her new home, along with her brother, who is apparently also a God, or has a God's name. She loves to run up and down the hallways and the stairs, and hangs out in the office during the day with us and with any students who are here. She and her brother are extremely people oriented and very well adjusted.
After one month Artemis passed her first Vet exam with flying colors. She and her brother continued to show their excellent temperaments by mainly just having a good time getting into everything at the vets office.
