BORIS
I'm Mack of the Zack/Mack pair. Initially everyone thought we were inseparable - bonded brothers! Turns out that we are indeed brothers, and friends, but we do live independantly of each other. So foster mom decided that we do not need to go together -but surely could. Our ages are pretty well known - we were gotten as kittens many years ago. So we are seniors - but young ones. We have had full senior bloodwork done, and we are in great shape for our ages. Even our teeth are in good shape. I'm a bit on the pudgy side but not fat.
I'm a bit more reserved. I also love attention and pets, but I want foster mom to coax me over to her. I think that since my brothers a bit - well pushy - when it comes to attention, I'd do best with cats that are more mild mannered. Assertive cats scare me (I do not like the cat she calles Moe, he likes to scare me). If you have a quieter home with no other kitties, or only nice ones, I would be very happy there. I am very sweet once I get a chance at attention but my darn brother gets there first and pushes me out of the way. I'd love to sit on your lap and just soak up the attention. If you want a very lovely senior boy, who's not overly vocal nor assertive, then perhaps you would be so kind as to ask about me?

I've had Mack for a month now and he is doing great! His introduction to Frida was uneventful, and I'm still figuring out what his favorite toys are (favs so far are wand toys and the catnip banana). He loves to snuggle with me - often by plopping down on his side and wrapping his paw around my arm, which can make it hard to type, lol. I've nicknamed him 'Mr. Happy Feet' because of how much he kneads his paws when he's purring. I'm still debating whether to rename him - stay tuned! Thanks to everyone who helped bring me together with this handsome snuggle bug :) I'll try to upload more pics later.
8/9/18: I have officially renamed him Boris (nickname: Fancy Bear!) He's doing great, although his vet recommended some dental work today because his mouth seems to be bothering him. Still a total sweetheart :)
2/27/19: Boris is still doing well, although in January he had an infected anal sac that took us to the animal hospital and required him to wear the "cone of shame" for two weeks, poor little guy. My other rescued kitty died earlier this month, so for now he is an only cat and he seems to enjoy the extra attention. He's quite the attention seeker, actually - he gets irritated when I have the audacity to not pay attention to him, like when I am cooking dinner and he sits on the dining table and loudly complains until he finally gives up and watches me instead.

MEATBALL
Loving but needing low stress, I'm a lap cat, playful and outgoing, but need to be the only cat please! I follow you everywhere, love my snuggles, am fine with the woofers, and am very outgoing and friendly! Playful, fun, and love my food, I'm a gem of a nice guy!

Update 2/18/2018: In the last two months Meatball has had two incidents of FLUTD. We've switched him to a prescription diet but it doesn't seem to be helping. The vets have suggested getting a PU surgery, but this feels very extreme. We would love to know what the community suggest since we hate to see Meatball in such pain
Update 6/8/2018: Meatball feels like he's been part of our family now for years. He's so well behaved & so affectionate. We've been unsuccessful in getting him to lose weight, but he seems to be making some progress recently. He loves sitting on the porch of our apartment watching the birds & cars go by. He loves to chase spring toys around. We recently had a birthday party for him as he turned 6 last month! He got a nice small fillet of tuna and snarfed it down. Our family feels so complete now that we have him!
Update 11/15/2017: Meatball has been with us for a month now and we feel so lucky to have him in our lives! He's adjusted so well and is so sweet! He's filled our lives with so much joy!
Meatball has adjusted so well into our lives! He loves to snuggle with us on the couch, or hang out on our little balcony and watch the birds go by! His favorite spots in the house are in his cardboard box and under our bed (but don't ask him to get into the kitty bed!) He's so well behaved and friendly, all our friends and family love to come by to meet him & snuggle with him!!

CHLOE
I just had my checkup today and the results are better than foster mom expected. I have had a flea allergy which has messed up my lovely hairdo, but now that the fleas are gone, I should look beautiful soon. I have a different looking nose which I have to live with but it should not be too bothersome if you can love me the way I look. It is the result of a wound of some sort with some scars on my face down to my nose and on my nose. My nose is split open a little on the tip, but it doesn't bother me and I hope it doesn't bother you. Right now, I'm tiny and pudgy. My New Years resolution is to reduce the pudge. Would you like to help me try?

Notes from Home
Hi, my new name is Chloe (Chloe Pickles, to be exact). I was named by my four-year-old human brother. I am very happy in my new home. I love to sleep in the sun until my fur gets hot, and I take up residence on my human mom's lap whenever she sits down. I especially love food, and it doesn't have to be dry food or Fancy Beast (as my brother calls it). I love meat, and I will even eat your sandwich if you leave it unattended (see Exhibit A!). I am having a lot of fun here, and Mom and Dad tell me this is my home forever. Meow!
July 2016: Chloe is now about 11 years old and has been with us for over seven years. She has brought love, joy, and fun to us. She is incredibly affectionate and is true lap lizard. She is especially bonded with my 11-year-old son who adores her. She is still in very good health, although she is on prescription cat food and has few teeth left. We're so thankful for the dedicated volunteers at SCRC who made her adoption possible. She's a treasure!
February 2019: Chloe has been with our family for 10 years now! At age 14, she still is in good health and is a happy, affectionate girl. She now has two canine colleagues to whom she has adjusted well. In our new home, she especially loves to lounge by the fireplace. We love her!

It's hard to believe that it's been 7 years! After being shy at first, Frida has turned into the most affectionate snuggle bug I have ever met. She likes head scratches, naps, "helping" me work from home, and dinnertime :)
I'm sad to report that after 11 years by my side, Frida was put to sleep last night after many months of battling lymphoma. She was a sweet, sweet girl who loved chin scratches and sitting on my lap. She had a purr that could literally be heard from across the room, and that she kept on doing until the very end. Thank you to the Siamese Rescue for bringing this sweetheart into my life.

20 January 2019 - Snorri (formerly Squeaks) has been happily settling into his new home for just over a week now. He’s sweet, playful, and affectionate 😊 Snorri has already identified a few choice places to nap and some favorite toys with which to play. He still loves his food (a little too much) and is trying to figure out how to make those tricky treat balls give up their yummy kibble😉 We’ll get there! Next Saturday he has his first vet check up, so we’ll let everybody know how it goes.
3 February 2019 - Apologies that this update is week late. Snorri had a good wellness check with his vet last Saturday:) He was a big hit with all of the vet techs who kept commenting on how handsome he is;). His cute antics did not stop the vet from putting him on a diet, however. Snorri is now on half a cup of food for the foreseeable future. Sorry buddy😕. He is continuing to settle in nicely at home, enjoying his bed by the fire and warm laps in which to cuddle during the cold weather outside. Pics atrached:)
