MARCO
Ciao!
I've been sprung from the foster room and am busy showing Foster Mom what a nice boy I am. I like being with her and follow her everywhere. If she gets away from me, I call to her to let her know that I'm looking for her. I can't get enough loving!
Foster Mom calls me a mooch as if there is any food around - I want some! I eat everything that she lets me have and look for more.
I've met her three girl cats and they don't bother me at all. They haven't totally accepted me yet but when they hiss at me, I just ignore them. I really am a lover not a fighter.
I'm such an easy going guy I'm sure that I'd fit right in at your house.

Notes from Home
Pietro, who has been renamed as Marco, has been a wonderful addition to my life! He the best companion I could have asked for. He makes sure I get up for school and work on time and he sits with me when I come home. He also visits my family home during vacations and gets along great with everyone including the dogs! I could not have asked for a more perfect cat! Thank you for helping me find a forever family member and his forever home!
December 2014 - Marco has had quite the year. We moved to Georgia about a year and a half ago for me to continue in graduate school. He was a wonderful travel companion for his mom and Nana! In August, he gained two new kitty-brothers, Maui and Kida, along with their Dad. As I expected, he welcomed them with open paws - Maui and Kida had some difficulty at first, but now love their new brother. They all take naps together during the day.
Marco still loves sitting with me while I complete my school work. He is a little less prompt about waking me up for school, but rarely lets me over-sleep. His is excited that his Nana, his great-Nana, and his uncle are coming to GA for Christmas! Although he likes plane rides, he loves that he can stay in his comfy bed. Nothing is quite like home, even though Nana has the same bed at her house.
Marco and I could not be happier together! I would not go anywhere without him, even with his great-Nana trying to convince me that Marco should stay with her (she loves him!). He helps me get through my tough days at school and is happy when I have good days. As I have said before, he is the best companion! I am so glad you helped us find his forever home!
January 2015 - It has taken me a while to write this... Marco passed away last May due to health complications. His death was sudden and a little unexpected since we finally found the perfect thyroid medication dosage. He was happy one day and gone the next. Although it was a shock, I am glad he did not suffer and left on his own terms. He waited for his Dad to join us in the vet's waiting room before saying goodbye and taking his last breath. The vet was extremely thankful for him making his own decision and not letting her make it. It was a difficult day for all of us, but we will never forget that wonderful little guy. His kitty brothers miss snuggling with him and I miss his companionship greatly. I think of him often, especially as I finish graduate school. He always supervised my work and kept me on schedule, so I frequently lose track of time without him. Although our time was shorter than I would have liked it to be, I loved every minute of our time together and will treasure it forever. I am so blessed to have had Marco in my life and I was happy to have given him his forever home.

CARSON
Do you enjoy a rousing game of fetch? Perhaps some time spent waving a wand toy around in the air?
Do you like having a supervisor laying across your shoulders and nuzzling your ear?
Do you like Sunday mornings cuddling in bed?
I can offer you all of the abovebut only if you inquire about me.
I have it all looks, personality, loyalty and the willingness to love, honor and cherish (especially if you offer me the same).
Its difficult for us middle-aged meezers to compete with all the younguns available right now. But we have so much more to offer!!! No guesses here. What you see is going to be what you get.

Notes from Home
Hello Everyone, I wanted to give up an update on Carson. We have given him the nickname of Carson Baby as he is the youngest cat here. He spends his days playing chase with his Cat Sister, Tonks. The live to run up and down the stairs. Great workout. He snuggles with his cat brothers Mr Kitty and Butch after he has run out of energy. When the hit s turned up you can find cat of the cats trying to share one heater. I'm not sure why...we have many heaters. Oh well! At night Carson baby loves to snuggle with the kids after a game a mouse fetch. Once the kids are sound asleep Carson comes back downstairs to snuggle with me or my husband. He loves to sit on Leigh's shoulder while he's working in the office. He love to hang out on my shoulder while I put laundry away. Carson and all of the boy cats love to snuggle in bed with my husband and myself. I think I need a bigger bed. 2 humans and 3 big cats every night. Hey, we love it! I'll upload the photo of Carson on the heater if I can. My phone is being a pain. Have a wonderful day and keep warm, Katie

Foster Notes

MONTY
Frosty the snowshoe is a very happy soul,
With a soft coat of fur and a little pink nose,
and two eyes that are so blue................................
Out of the shelter with his dignity in his paws,
Purring here and there all around the house,
Saying "ask about me, if you can".
Yes, Frosty the Snowshoe is a sweet small boy who loves to be petted, loves laps and loves to purr. He would love a new home before "he melds away". He is very happy staying at Hotel delShue, but is ready for his forever home. If you are creative, you can make up some more verses to "HIS" song when he become your forever Frosty. Purrs and Headbutts, Frosty

Notes from Home
Clover has adjusted beautifully to our family. She is so gentle with the children, and we all adore her. She plays and sleep and talks. My nephew (age 2) pronounces her name "Flowvert," which we all find hilarious. He loves to give her gentle pats and offer her a treat.
Thank you all again for such a positive experience.

Notes from Home
Raven has been home for a month and doing great. She is a very sweet kitten. She is a little less playful then her brother Fleury, but loves playing with the toy mice. She loves cuddling with my oldest son. The kids enjoy watching her when she is trying to go to sleep because she sucks on the blanket and makes biscuits.

CHLOE
Saddened at my life changes, I am looking for a one on one small apartment/home situation with a retired or semi retired person who would like a declawed kitty to sit on their lap. There is a little bit of a get to know me period, but I am worth knowing!

Notes from Home
January 2015 (Chloe's first week home)
Chloe arrived home safely in the afternoon. She came out of the carrier right away and went hiding under the couch. We set up her water, food, and placed the litter box closer to the main space so she can find it right away. After dinner, we decided to just hang out sitting on the floor so she can see us from under the couch. She started coming out to explore timidly and went back under the couch, but the time gap between her each coming out became shorter and shorter. By around 10:30pm, she was out hanging with both of us, rubbing all over us and being very loving! Well, I suppose this could be the effect of our secret weapon-- the cat treats as well ;) She was purring and kneading and the 3 of us hang out on the floor for hours. By the 2nd day she was already jumping on our laps while we eat or work. And she loves kneading which is so funny, I think she is just so happy to be home. She was not interested in toys or catnip, but on the 4th day, we discovered that she LOVES shoelace! We made a "shoelace wand" for her. She came running every time the shoelace wand is out! She plays occasionally with crumbled paper napkin as well. Chloe is a gentle sweetheart, and a strangely polite cat. We had anticipated a long term project to make her feel home, but she is accommodating amazingly fast. We are at a good start!

MYA
I have settled in and been trying to get over stomach/food issues. Slowly getting there and making progress. It has taken time to see more of my personality since I have not been feelilng good for a long time. I have a diva outlook and want to be admired and adored but not picked up and cuddled. I can tolerate it but not liking it. I get along fine with other cats but do not want to be a play buddy.

Notes from Home
.Mya has been with me for 3 years and is not the shy and quiet cat she once was. Mya loves to eat and has got a little chubby from stealing the other 2.. cats food. Two years ago I moved i n with my daughter and she has 2 cats. All the cats get along good, its just that May steals their food. I will be moving with my son later this summer so May will not be stealing food and hopefully lose weight. Mya can be a
clown sometimes as she makes me laugh when she attacks the bed pillows. My bed is her bed and she sleeps at the foot of the bed at night but the bed is hers during the day. Ever try to maked the bed with cat on it?Shewill cry for her food but she doesn't cry much. Sometimes when the house is quiet and everyone is in bed she will cry and walk the floor like she is looking for something or loney I talk to her all the time and if she is asleep she wags her til mom let me know she hears me I don't know what Mya's other life was like but I spoil her as I do my other cat. I love both of them to death and would be lost without them.

BRIE
Described as Devoted, Outgoing. and Loving, I am a DOLL! I may be on the stripey side but that doesn't matter to me, I am one lovebug gal! I'm fine with male cats (I get to be the boss please), and I am great with people. I'll wait by the door for you to get home, sit with you on the couch, and perch in my cat tree while you're gone. You can forget the diva qualities of some of those snobby seals, and just expect a lot of loving from me!

Notes from Home
Brie has been with us for 1 year this month.Hard to believe she'll be 9 this year. she has so much energy. She loves to play with feather toys an fetches her foil balls. She'll even bring us one to throw if she wants to play. She's down to 8 3/4 pounds and we are keeping her on a grain free diet. She's loving and affectionate, a good companion cat. She tested a bit high on her blood calcium so we're having her retested periodically. Otherwise she's very healthy. She's decided I'm her main squeeze and uses my husband as a last resort.Helen Ko 1/10/15
Brie has been with us now for 2 years. She has settled in well and is basically a very healthy and sweet little girl. We've trained her to sit and stay and beg fro her treats. She loves to play with feathery toys and still leaps and jumps pretty high. She now lets us pick her up whenever we want and even enjoys having her teeth brushed. She just loves her poultry toothpaste. She has maintained her weight, so her vet is very pleased. We love her a lot. 1/12/16
