DEAN
Hi there!

In many of my pictures on this web site, I'm with my seal point "brother," Sam. It would be great if we could go to our forever home together, but our foster mom thinks we would both do well separately. I'm very tolerant of Sam's bossiness, but it would really be nice if I could be the center of attention for once!

I have many great qualities --- Do you need help de-cluttering all the flat surfaces in your home that are within cat jumping distance? If so, I'm your guy! I love to see gravity in action!

I'm a cute, happy, playful guy. I love to play with other cats. We wrestle and race up and down the halls. I follow my foster mom around like a dog and sleep with her at night. My foster mom calls me "Dean Bean."

Although I'm not currently a lap cat, I love to curl up next to my foster mom and snuggle while leaning up against her. She thinks it's because she's a great human (which is true), but I also like her body heat. I love to be warm.

In the right environment (i.e., without my dominant "brother" Sam), I might be a lap cat. But I do regularly come around begging for human loving, even if I'm not a lap cat yet.

I am really good at knocking things off counters, tables, etc. I consider everything a toy. Whenever something is missing, my foster mom starts looking under the couch, refrigerator, and all the nooks and crannies. (She & I enjoy hide & seek.) Although I am full grown, I still have a lot of kitten in me.

The cold virus that I had caused some problems with my eyes. They have been resolved to the extent possible. I had surgery to keep my eyelids from turning in and am now healed. My last check-up showed that I am much improved, but the 3rd eyelids in both eyes are still elevated. But I am quite comfortable, though, and very happy not to be having medication put in my eyes any more. I can see just fine, though, and love looking out the window at the birds and chipmunks.

My eyes may continue to improve. My foster mom gives me L-lysine to help strengthen my immune system. It's an inexpensive food supplement available in most health supplement stores & places like Whole Foods.

BTW, I was confiscated by Animal Control from a hoarder with about 30 cats. Many were Siamese. Because I was quite ill, I need to stay in my transport area.

I had an awful start in life. I'd love to love and be loved in my forever home.

well dean is as crazy as Ellen had said..he takes everything off the counters because well he thinks everything is his but he is a great cat...very loving and energetic..he is a sweet heart

Dean is very healthy. Dean loves to sleep and eat but is very interested in any thing that might be going on. If he's not asleep he's right in the middle of everything. Dean is a good boy. So happy to have had the chance to adopt him.

SAM
Sam, I am.

Golly, I've been in my foster home for a year now! What's the problem?! Doesn't anyone want near constant companionship and comedic relief?

In many of my pictures on this web site, I'm with my showshoe "brother," Dean. It would be great if we could go to our forever home together, but our foster mom thinks we would both do well separately. I do put up with Dean's extreme cuteness, even though it detracts attention from ME, but I could adjust to being the center of some human's attention. ;)

If you like "bossy" meezers, I'm your man! I will tell what I want and when I want it (now) & if I don't get it, you'll hear about it. But I'm not obnoxious.

I promise to keep you company & entertain you all the time! And I will eat everything you put in front of me. Then I will eat everything else I can find.

I am a seal point & proud of it! I have a strong meezer purrsonality -- I'm either the meezer someone desperately wants, or . . . There's no middle ground. My foster mom has really come to love and appreciate me for my unique qualities. And she finally realized that I'm a Mensa kitty, but she says I'm too smart for my own good.

I am a very handsome guy. So happy & healthy now. Check out the picture of me carrying around my favorite toy (a ball). If that picture had sound, you'd hear me meowing happily while I carry my toy. Speaking of sound, I am a champion "chirper." Actually, I'm better at communication than many humans.

I'm a very friendly guy, too. I follow my foster mom around like a dog and let her know with my soft but persistent voice that I want attention. Mom calls me "Samella." I love to play and I get along with the resident cats.

BTW, I was confiscated by Animal Control from a hoarder with about 30 cats. Many were Siamese. Dean & I were the healthiest of the lot. We are both healthy now. But because I was ill & thus need to avoid getting too stressed out by a very long trip to my forever home, I need to stay in my transport area.

Sam is doing great and has really become a big daddys boy..It took a couple weeks of adjustment but wow when he finally decided all was good he came out running.

Sam continues to be a daddy's boy. He's healthy and happy and very good. So glad to have been able to adopt him.

TAZMEANA
Hi - My name is Celeste and I am a beautiful seal point girl who just got to my foster home. A nice person found me when I was lost from my family, took me to the shelter and then they helped me get into rescue. The nice lady who found me said that I am a very good girl, very sweet and well behaved. She said that I like laps. Foster mom will tell you more as she learns more about me. Be watching for updates in the next few days. If you have questions, please ask my foster mom, Katie.

AUTUMN
Curious, that's how my foster Mom describes me. I want to know what you're doing. I want to know what everyone else is doing. I want to know what that sound is over there. I haven't been here long, but I really want to know all about everything. I am friendly, playful, and love to sit in your lap or, even better yet, snuggle up under your chin. I have not met the other cats yet, but again, I'm curious. Oh, and I met the big dog, and thought she was the neatest thing ever. Foster Mom laughed, said something about the big dog being scared of the little cat climbing all over her. Anyway, you should ask about me and we can explore my new home together. You can show me all the things I'm curious about, and then we can sit down for a while and snuggle.

Kinoko starting to warm up to our home. She seems more trusting and more comfortable playing. She likes her food and her clean litter box. Now she doesn't sporadically eat her food. She feels comfortable leaving food for later. She loves to be get brushed. Her litter habit is perfect. Her veterinarian gave her a clean bill of health after a small ear infection.

SASHA
Looking for a velcro cat? If you are, I'm your girl!

I'm a little older than my companion, but we are very close, so he has to come with me. I came to foster mom with some health problems, which appear to be corrected with proper nutrition and lots of fluids. I was dehydrated and was being fed dry food, which made things worse. I also need my friend, Sunshine to stay with me, so I can stay happy and healthy for years to come.

I have a good appetite, and enjoy my life! Sunshine and I would like to find our forever home in a quiet household, free from dogs and kids. We are now enjoying the company of the resident cats, but it would be easier if we were the only cats in the household..

Oh yes-did I mention that we are both declawed?

CONNOR
I am an exceptionally marked snowshoe boy - but I'm so friendly that foster mom can't get a good picture of me as I come up to her for headbuts and attention. I chirp and trill to talk and have a large vocabulary of sounds. I am very friendly and just love attention! I've been to the vet and pronounced healthy. I've been meeting the other kitties, and so far so good. Not totally sure about them - but not upset about them either. I use the litter box like a good boy, and the cat scratcher things for my claws. I like toys, and especially like to put them in my water dish. Do you have toys that need to be dunked and washed? Then ask about me!

FINN
Finn is the purrfect combination of rambunctious fun and sweet cuddly baby all rolled up in an adorable package!!! He loves to run and climb and play, and also loves to cuddle and snuggle. And he's about the cutest little thing you'll ever see!

Finn is looking for a kitten proofed home with opportunities for lots of active play, arms to cuddle and snuggle in, and a furry playmate to romp around with. He will brighten your day!

Hello sorry so long for an update. Finn is a sweet cuddly beautiful cat. He is so friendly and social when people come to our house to visit. Finn truly is a wonderful pet. BUDDY
I'd love to know what it was like to feel loved. I'm a slightly reserved very quiet well mannered gent who would prefer a quiet home as the only cat. A little bit of time to blossom and you'll enjoy seeing my surprised look when I find a home that actually likes me. I'm far from being a pest and am very easy going, bringing my own bed, bag of food and scratching post.

Wow! It's hard to believe this sweet boy came into my life a year ago! Buddy (formerly Stewie) has truly blossomed! He was so withdrawn and scared when I first brought him home. Now he's a total love bug, blanket hog (I don't mind one bit!), and the quintessential lap cat. He is such a blessing!

MARCO
Ciao!

I've been sprung from the foster room and am busy showing Foster Mom what a nice boy I am. I like being with her and follow her everywhere. If she gets away from me, I call to her to let her know that I'm looking for her. I can't get enough loving!

Foster Mom calls me a mooch as if there is any food around - I want some! I eat everything that she lets me have and look for more.

I've met her three girl cats and they don't bother me at all. They haven't totally accepted me yet but when they hiss at me, I just ignore them. I really am a lover not a fighter.

I'm such an easy going guy I'm sure that I'd fit right in at your house.

Notes from Home
Pietro, who has been renamed as Marco, has been a wonderful addition to my life! He the best companion I could have asked for. He makes sure I get up for school and work on time and he sits with me when I come home. He also visits my family home during vacations and gets along great with everyone including the dogs! I could not have asked for a more perfect cat! Thank you for helping me find a forever family member and his forever home!

December 2014 - Marco has had quite the year. We moved to Georgia about a year and a half ago for me to continue in graduate school. He was a wonderful travel companion for his mom and Nana! In August, he gained two new kitty-brothers, Maui and Kida, along with their Dad. As I expected, he welcomed them with open paws - Maui and Kida had some difficulty at first, but now love their new brother. They all take naps together during the day.

Marco still loves sitting with me while I complete my school work. He is a little less prompt about waking me up for school, but rarely lets me over-sleep. His is excited that his Nana, his great-Nana, and his uncle are coming to GA for Christmas! Although he likes plane rides, he loves that he can stay in his comfy bed. Nothing is quite like home, even though Nana has the same bed at her house.

Marco and I could not be happier together! I would not go anywhere without him, even with his great-Nana trying to convince me that Marco should stay with her (she loves him!). He helps me get through my tough days at school and is happy when I have good days. As I have said before, he is the best companion! I am so glad you helped us find his forever home!

January 2015 - It has taken me a while to write this... Marco passed away last May due to health complications. His death was sudden and a little unexpected since we finally found the perfect thyroid medication dosage. He was happy one day and gone the next. Although it was a shock, I am glad he did not suffer and left on his own terms. He waited for his Dad to join us in the vet's waiting room before saying goodbye and taking his last breath. The vet was extremely thankful for him making his own decision and not letting her make it. It was a difficult day for all of us, but we will never forget that wonderful little guy. His kitty brothers miss snuggling with him and I miss his companionship greatly. I think of him often, especially as I finish graduate school. He always supervised my work and kept me on schedule, so I frequently lose track of time without him. Although our time was shorter than I would have liked it to be, I loved every minute of our time together and will treasure it forever. I am so blessed to have had Marco in my life and I was happy to have given him his forever home.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." - Winnie the Pooh
