Ciao!
My name is Romey. I am a loving and mature gentleman for my age. I like to be near my humans and so far, I don't seem to mind other laid back cats and dogs. I am a little shy, but my confidence builds up pretty quickly. I warm up to new guests and love getting attention. In my spare time, I love to gaze out windows and sleep on meowmy's desk while she works. I am also a foodie, I love everything that meowmy puts down in front of me! So when I go home, my new parents will need to make sure I keep a healthy weight. I would probably do best in a quiet home, since I was a stray before coming into rescue and a little skittish about loud noises. Life on the streets made me grow up fast, I am serious and not too playful. However, I have lots of love to give and I am really liking this house cat thing! Maybe I can come out of my shell given some time and love.

When I was adopted, there was another cat in the home. Although I was willing to bond,Chloe wasn’t but we eventually made peace with each other. She would wrestle me ( especially if she was hungry) and I lost quite a bit of fur but eventually I learned to use my claws. She did teach me how to meow and she was more talkative than me. I continued to be a foodie and was not fussy if it were human or cat food. I was known to grab even frozen bread from the toaster if I could get it. I loved to sit at the counter and watch the cooking action and maybe get a yogurt lick or egg remnants or even a sliver of cheese if I was looking particularly cute. My owner’s nicknamed me ratatouille, apparently after a famous foodie rat. I loved to sit in the sun and sneak out to the second floor deck. I had a habit of stopping suddenly in front of people especially on the stairs.band was yelled at for being a tripper upper. if I didn’t get nabbed and liked to sneak through the railings to the neighbors porch and sit under a bench. I could be lured back by the noise of a treat box being shaken. Mostly i loved to snuggle and would often sleep with my owner at night, with my back against him. Unfortunately I became sick and went to the place where good cats go and died at the young age of 9. I will be sorely missed. He was such a special Being and I am so grateful for Siamese rescue for introducing “Romey” to us.

Foster mom named me Giselle because she says I am supermodel stunning:) She can't imagine what a beautiful girl like me was doing wandering around the woods in Southern Maryland - and I am not telling! In addition to being beautiful I am sweet and loving and very petite.

After 16.5 years together, Tonic quietly passed away this morning in his sleep. He will be missed dearly by our family, and his brother, Avon is mourning with us.
We want to thank the volunteers at SCRC for giving us such a loving companion and so many beautiful years together with him. He will missed dearly, but he will furever live on in our hearts.

SASHA
Pandora has become more social since her arrival and enjoys her time out in the foster room. She is very playful and interactive and enjoys watching the birds out the window. Not interested much in being a lap kitty but wants to be involved with what you are doing. Loves to be petted and wants as much attention as you will give. Sometimes will grab your hands with her paws for more petting but has never deliberately tried to scratch. Not always good with other cats but ok with laid back dogs.

Notes from Home
Just wanted to give a quick update - the last six months have flown by! Our little lady, renamed Sasha, is becoming braver and more comfortable every day. Initially she was nervous about sitting in open windows, but now she loves the fresh air and watching the birds! She is a big fan of boxes, toy cubes, tunnels - she will run across rooms to jump into and on top of them. One of the cutest quirks about her is that she loves for her toys to be in whatever room she is in - one by one, she'll carry or drag them throughout the apartment so that we can play with her wherever she is! :) She's recently developed a fondness for being brushed- just in time for summer! We are happier every day with her.
12/7/25 - It's been a while and I'm not sure if this will reach anyone, but I just wanted to send an update that our life with Sasha is so wonderful. She is affectionate, playful, and such a sweet girl. We are so grateful to share a life with her.

Seeking Siamese-savvy adopter! Meezer prince seeks new home where I will be adored and pampered as I deserve. I'm gorgeous, with big, dark blue eyes, but I will need time to learn to trust you. I'm very sensitive to change, so preferably no long transports.
I've had so many changes lately. My meom, who'd had me all my life and really spoiled me, married someone whose allergies are so severe, he couldn't breathe and I couldn't stay, so I went to live with her meom. Her two cats ganged on me, so everyone agreed it would be best for me to pack all my food and toys and hit the road to Rescue.
Please tell me my traveling days are over! This big, handsome sealy boy wants to be your one and only. You won't need anyone else!

2011-05-21 - It's been over five years and I'm happy as a clam. I love Mreommy and like to curl up on dad's flannel PJ's. I don't like seeing Mreom dressed for work. One night I even told her uh-oh when I saw she had her uniform on. She always comes back though so I guess it's OK.
2025-08-03 - We miss Ika. He was with us for over ten years being spoiled and well loved. We made the choice in June of 2016 to not have him suffer from kidney failure any longer when our vet told us there was no hope of him recovering.
He was our owner for over ten years and is still missed greatly.

3-1-13 What a sweet, cheerful little cat. We've renamed her Moka. Everything is going well so far, very early on. She's relaxing, playing, snuggling, napping, and eating very well.
3-11-13 Dr. Cox met Moka today; he was smitten, said she's in A+ condition. He was VERY impressed by the records forwarded directly to him from SCRC. "By far, the most organized and professional rescue group I've seen." Meanwhile, slow integration continues well at home.
3-21-13 Moka follows me around the house, likes to get into whatever I'm doing. She has so many affectionate behaviors I have to believe that she had good humans who loved her, before she got lost. Moka and Moet have initially agreed to share the house, though they are 'careful' around each other. We'll see how that changes.
3-26-13 - After a month with us, Moka would say that she knows we really love her. Her cheerfulness and good manners are striking.
8/26/13 It turns out that Moet, at almost 19 years old, who suffered a new bout of intestinal lymphoma in April, frail with this illness (controlled by meds for now), wasn't interested in becoming buddies with another housemate, as she did so well before with sister Sasha, and meezers Nina, Thai, Jeremy and Carrie. So we use time-sharing: Moet gets to wander around the house at night while Moka stays in the bedroom, while Moka has the house during the day and Moet rests in her bedroom. Not ideal, but it works.
10/19/13 Moet died two weeks ago, just shy of her 19th birthday. We are all very sad, but she had been ill for a long time. Moka is now queen of the realm and she's become more relaxed and more affectionate. We have a Sealpoint Female Diva to rule us. May her reign be long and healthy.
3/10/14 One year anniversary! Our vet doc says Moka is in fine health and he's glad we're maintaining her at a good weight, just under 7 lbs.
3/13/15 Two year anniversary! Dr. Cox says Moka is in fine health, at the same good weight, but has tartar under the gum line and gingivitis. He suggested we start a daily teeth cleaning routine. Once she's gotten used to tooth brushing, she'll get a full dental, so that when the tartar's removed, we can keep it under control.
9/1/15 Moka had her dental in June, and I'm brushing her teeth every day! At a follow-up appointment last week, Dr. Cox found her gums to be in pretty good shape, and added a veterinary oral hygiene rinse (wiped on with a gauze square) to our daily routine. Moka has learned to like the whole experience, having decided that getting some treats is worth having her human fiddling around in her mouth for less than a minute.
3/23/16 Three year anniversary! Dr. Cox says Moka's gums are in excellent condition - a real payoff for the daily toothbrushing. Moka continues to relax and develop more attachment behaviors.
3/18/18 Five year anniversary! Moka has continued to relax and trust; new behaviors include getting under the covers with Meowm at bedtime to get her tummy rubbed. During the day, Moka likes her tummy stroked gently for as long as we are willing! Moka is increasingly interactive; she makes polite but clear, vocal requests for playtime. She is healthy, at a good weight. At last year's vet visit, Dr. Cox said her gums were beautiful. Her annual visit is scheduled for June.
2/17/25 So sadly, Moka died of intestinal cancer on 2/7/25. She had been ill, on and off, for about a year. We were blessed with her friendship for 12 of her 14 years. She had a good life! She was happy, content, well-loved, and well taken care of. We had hoped for longer, but she lived a normal lifespan. She and I had developed a loving communication where she could easily make known her needs and wants, and she had wonderful intuition about when I might need some extra affection. This poem sums it up:
To a Siamese Cat
I shall walk in the sun alone
Whose golden light you loved;
I shall sleep alone
And, stirring, touch an empty place;
I shall write uninterrupted
(Would that your gentle paw
Could stay my moving pen just once again!)
I shall see beauty
But none to match your living grace;

I was pulled from a hoarder situation and am still a little unsure of myself but Foster Meowm says I'm slowly gaining my self-confidence. I will need a feline companion in my furever home as well as adopter who is willing to give me some extra time to adjust to all the changes in my life.

| Even though Java was pulled from a hoarder situation along with approx 60 other cats it didn't affect his sweet and loving nature. He's still unsure of himself when out of the cage but just needs a little time to gain his confidence. He sees other cats and wants out with them and will probably do best in a home with other feline companions. |

Notes from Home
After many years of a long and presumably happy life Java has moved on. The last few months were difficult for him with arthritis and the newer medications seemed to have help alleviate some of his pain. He took comfort in the last few years with his companion boys Charlie and Mozart while Kaylee remained fairly aloof. Thanks again for helping me to adopt Java over 16 years ago.

9/18/23 - it's been about 7 years with fawn (i can't believe it!) and she's doing wonderfully! highly independent, but she is still obsessed with the same wand toy that she came home with (of course, we've gone through many of them since her adoption). she hangs out with me most days while i'm working, either sitting on my desk, sleeping on my lap, or standing in front of my computer screen. she also has recently learned (decided?) that she LOVES a belly rub.
we love her very much, she is truly filled with so much life and spunk!!

dancer (now fawn) is doing wonderful! she stays at my side all of the time, and is endlessly curious as to what is happening. she always greets guests when they arrive, and loves to sit in the window and watch people walk by during the day (especially when the window is cracked and she can smell all of the smells!). her favorite toy is her wand toy that siri sent her home with- she loves to drag it around the house and bring it into bed with her. she is still a bit unsure about whether or not she wants to snuggle, but is slowly warming up to cuddles. she LOVES head scritches and will give your hand a loving swat if you're close enough and not scratching her head. she has a great attitude and is such a delight to be with <3

KOBE
What do you mean I'm a little bit of a naughty boy :) Just because I love to play in the water, just because I love to explore where no cat has gone before, just because I'm the size of a small dog and can reach heights no Meezer has ever aspired to before - I'm just loving life! There's not a mean bone in my body, but lots of fun loving ones, and oh, okay, if you must know the truth, maybe a mischievous one. I would be happy to be the only cat if you have older kids who would love to play with me, I would be happy to be a play buddy (Nikita and I have a great time - want to do a two for one?) if you need a playmate. I have all the wonderful personality characteristics (curious, outgoing, fear nothing) of a Siamese, so that's what you should want!

Notes from Home
Goji (Kobe's forever name) is doing great in New Zealand. His companion Momo sadly died a few years ago, but Goji has little brother Gritty for company, who he mostly tollerates. I'm also heavily involved in cat rescue and fostering and Goji is excellent at teaching kittens manners. He's such a gentleman. Being a giant of a cat he has developed pretty severe arthritis in his elbows but his new treatment is making a huge difference and he's quite the spry old man. His kidney values are just starting to slip so we're on a renal diet now (and off metacam), but at his age that's not uncommon.
I just reread his original description which is still so incredibly spot-on for this big guy. He's still super friendly, and still hates being picked up, but he does sleep on top of me, and is super affectionate. He even likes tummy rubs. He's been such a wonderful addition to our household and we just love him so much.
