Pick Me!! Pick Me! Pick Me!

Can't you just see that in this beautiful little girl's eyes. Chloe is looking for her new forever family and hopes they find her soon. She is used to living with kids, dogs and other cats and gets along well with all of them.

Chloe is quite a talker, though more in a chatty way and loves to have long conversations with me when I'm in her foster room. Though tentative at first, she's adjusting well to all the changes in her life in just the past two days.

Chloe will be a delightful cat for a loving adopter in search of a beautiful chocolate girl.

Notes from Home
Moving is soo stressful! My new furever home is scary to me but there is a nice safe bed and private room for me to spend time in. Luckily, my new family completely understands my need for privacy while I'm adapting to my new home. They did all stop by room to say hello. There is another cat in this home, his name is Sam. I'll have to watch over him since he's deaf. There is also a dog in the home who looks like he'll be a good play toy to chase once I'm settled in. My new mom likes to scratch behind my ears and under my chin, so I come out to indulge her when she calls me. She talks to me a lot and now I will come to her when she calls. I think I will really like this new home, my new mom tells me that there are all sorts of fun toys and places to climb once I leave my private room. She even calls me a princess and says that some day she'll get me a pink collar and maybe one day after that a matching pink harness and leash!!! Not sure if I will like that but we have plenty of time to get to know one another and find out.

Mom got my new pink collar, AND a bell, for me. FINALLY! A girl can't run around and not wear anything. Once she put my collar on me, I decided to come out and play with all the fun toys and spend an entire evening with the family.
***********************************************************
It's been a month already? Can't believe it. It took me a few weeks, but I'm really comfortable in my new home. The new kitty condo that Mom got us is pretty cool. I like to sit on it and watch all the birds through the window. Plus, Mom put extra bird feeders by that window so there will be plenty for me to watch! Sam, the other Siamese here, is fun to chase around the house - especially in the middle of the night. I don't know why the people sleep all night; that's when some of the best playtime happens. Sam, being a stinky boy, sometimes like to fight with me but he forgets that I have claws and he does not. The fights really don't last more than a few seconds. He remembers my claws and then stops bothering me. Then the chases begin and that is a lot of fun. I'm getting all of the mushy cat food I could want, lots of attention and more toys than I know what to do with. I love to rip the fur off of the little plastic rattle-mice, lounge on the cat condo and walk on mom's keyboard. Mom has been taking so many pictures of me, she promised to load them to my profile. I can't blame her for wanting to take my picture but that camera flash is so bothersome. It does not do my beautiful eyes any justice! I'll check my profile in a couple days to see if mom has uploaded the new pics of me. If not, I'll go lay on her keyboard as a reminder (she loves the attention).
***********************************************************
It's been 6 months since moving to my new home. What a busy and exciting time! I'm now living with Sam who is 6 and Gus who is 1. We are all Siamese and all completely different! The only thing we have in common is loving to EAT and playing with "da Bird" which is the most amazing toy EVER!. We all have our favorite places in the house to hang out and we all still nap on the cat condo, but playing with da Bird toy is the highlight of our day. I've been told that I'm getting a little chubby so we work on exercising through play every day. It's helping me with coming out of my shell! I'm really happy in my new home and I'm even beginning to become more social! The bird feeders outside the living room window have been great entertainment all summer long. I love looking at the yellow finches and I sneak up to the window for a closer peek at them. My mom says that I"m a natural killer but she won't let me go outside to find out for sure! The teenagers in the house love to have me visit with them and I give them lots of attention when they are in their rooms so they won't get lonely. The vet that we visit is really nice and she couldn't believe that anyone would give away a great cat like me! My mom agrees. I'm looking forward to cooler weather so I can look at those finches with the windows up!
***********************************************************
As my one year anniversary approaches, it's hard to believe all the changes. When I first arrived, I was so timid - especially around the men in the house. Everyone gave me space and allowed me to hide when needed, never was pushy. I'm now a confident, happy and haughty girl cat who runs the show around here. Well, sometimes I let the boys get their way too but I rule the cat condo! I'm very happy in my furever home and my mom is still discovering new and fun things about me!
***********************************************************
One Year Anniversary!!! I am just the best cat ever. I NEVER let mom oversleep, she can practically throw out her alarm clock. I know that 6am is when the alarm goes off, so I jump in bed and start waking up mom a few minutes before it starts. I have a habit which amuses my mom; I pick one strand of fabric on one nail and then lick the thread off my claw. Then I do it again, and again, until mom wakes up. Sometimes, the fabric is the back of her pj's and I catch her skin, but it's ok. If that doesn't get her awake, or if she pull up the blanket, I just bite and pull her hair - that usually does the trick!

We cats love all of the bird feeders in the front window. The window is our tv and we watch the Bird Show all day long. With the weather getting warmer, there are more birds than ever to watch. Love the spring time. Mom is planning to take all three of us to the vet, I'm afraid the vet will say I've grown a bit "robust" but I make it look good! Everyone says I am a beautiful cat and who am I to argue?

It's been TWO years already?! Time flies fast! I'm still surprising my mom all of the time with my personality. I've been very slow to come out of my shell so mom is always surprised at the different things I do. She tells me all of the time how beautiful I am and my dad was busy all winter long keeping the bird feeders full of food. I spent the entire winter bird watching! I've also become really good at claiming the high spot on the cat condo and keeping the boys away from my spot! The vet says I'm such a good girl and I don't ever fuss or hiss during visits. It's so nice to have a forever home!!! :)

THREE YEARS!!! WOW!!!! I'm so happy in my furever home! There are so many other cats here (mostly stinky boys) and I am never bored. So many toys and birds outside the window. I even get to watch deer and squirrels! I get to sleep next to my mom's pillow some nights and other nights I sleep on my heated pad on the cat condo. My mom calls me Chloe Sweetie and she says I have become very soft and fluffy since moving here. Of all my cat mates, I think Chester is my boyfriend because I never hiss at him and sometimes I share the couch with him. (In our group picture, he is the orange striped tabby). We visit the vet every year but I still love my mom anyway.

Six year anniversary!!! I need to upload pics so everyone can see how pretty I am! I'm the grand Dame in my house and all the boy cats know it.

Notes from Home
Things are going very well with Diana Prints (Gabrina)! She has settled into her new home, found all of her favorite spots (the scratching post in front of the window near the bird feeder and butterfly bush is a big favorite) and is getting along very well with her kitten brother Loki and our dogs. She and Loki play together all the time, and seem to really enjoy each other's company. He's a Maine Coon, so he's a lot bigger than her, but she is much faster, and runs circles around him! We took her to the vet for a new patient visit this morning and the vet thought that she is an absolute darling and gave her a clean bill of health. Her weight is up to 4.1 pounds and she got her FVRP booster today too, so she is all set for the moment. We are just loving her, she's such a little sweetheart!

Sixth month update: She is still doing very well! She loves playing with her big brother, Loki, and her toys. She's figured out all of her favorite napping places. She's a little speed racer, she loves to zoom around the house, but she has been learning to slow down just enough to enjoy a good snooze in a lap and maybe even a belly rub from time to time. She's a climber with great ambitions of climbing as high as she can go, so we ended up building her and Loki a little cat shelf they can climb up to when they want a bird's eye view of the great room. New pictures uploaded for you! The only concern that we have with her is that she has developed a fascination and a determination to get outside (she's insatiably curious), sometimes waiting at the door when she knows someone is going in or out to try to bolt out the door at top speed. So far she's never gotten further than the front porch, and we've developed some strategies for managing her when we have people (like our cleaning service) coming in unawares (we usually close her in the master suite with her food and litter box those days), but I am a little worried that she's so bold and fast she'd be hard to catch if she thought she had an opportunity to go explore the big, wide world.

BEETHOVEN
I'm a fun loving, chirping talking, love everyone kind of cat. I really need another cat to play with so if you already have a cat and want a companion for him, maybe you would you like a nice young fella like me?

I do have one big problem, though. I am deaf. So I won't hear you when you call me, but that shouldn't be a problem cause I do love to be around my people. I love kids, too!

If so, hit "ask about me" and maybe Meowmy will make it happen!

Purrs, chirps and thrills,
Kevin

Notes from Home
Hi All!

Just want to let you know that Kevin is doing really well and has completely adjusted to his new home. It didn't take long! The minute we got him home he popped out of his carrier, investigated, and proceeded to roll on his back, belly up, and started to purr! He is a sweetheart and we are so lucky to have him!

He's a big snuggle bug! His favorite spots are the back of the couch and all of the windowsills, so he can look out and watch the birds! He has a very charmed and spoiled life and we wouldn't have it any other way! Since he is deaf, we are really trying to adopt a second kitty (as soon as possible) so he'll have a playmate, so stay tuned for baby #2!

I want to thank each and every one of you who helped us find Kevin. From our interviewer, Elisabeth, to our fabulous foster mommy, Jeanne, to ALL of the Meezer Express volunteers who delivered such precious cargo to us. Kevin brings us such joy and without all of you, we never would have found him. You made it possible. We are forever grateful!

Hi All,

It has now been a month since we brought Kevin home and he continues to thrive! He has found some new favorites including water in the bathroom sink! He loves a steady drip from the faucet. The kids fill up the sink and put a rubber ducky in it. Kev loves to bat it around! He's SO good with the kids. I think he really enjoys playing with them. At night he makes his rounds and decides who he wants to sleep with - we all fight over him :)

I got him a handsome new collar that says "I am Deaf" and proper ID tag just in case he ever got outside (although our whole family is super aware about closing the doors.) I am also starting to work with him using signs to communicate such as "time to eat" or "come here." Treats and lovin' are the best reward! He is a very happy and content kitty. We adore him!

Still on the quest for Kevin's buddy. Actively searching the site and trying to adopt kitty #2. Hopefully I'll have a little luck and be able to add a new baby to our family soon.

GIBBS
Hi there - I'm Frosty. Ask about me and I'll tell you how I got my name. I'm a BALL of energy and love to play with toys, eat, and snuggle - in that order. I think I like other kitties, but I'm more interested in their toys and the person that feeds them right now.

KIKI (KILALA)
I've been lucky enough to have been loved by a hero since I was 6 weeks old - my Mom went in to the military to protect our country, and now I'm looking for another hero to share the next decade of my life with. I'm playful, loving, healthy and friendly. I get along with other cats (no bullies, please) and am an all around great guy. Might you be the one for me?

Hello to all who loved me and cared for me, I'm home with my new mom or meowmy! We are so happy together! She pets me, scratches behind my ears, and snuggles with me all the time. I'm not even bothered the least bit by her human kids ( as long as they understand I'm most important ). She even talks to me and plays with me. We just want to say thank you! And we'll talk again soon! She even told me that I'm going to have a baby sister from the rescue coming soon! Don't you worry! I'm training my mom well and IL make sure my new sister is treated like the princess she is, after all you have to be a princess when your bro is a prince!
Well hello again to all!!! Kiki is still the most loving and amazing cat and we are doing fabulous! Although it's been a year already, it seems just yesterday I brought home my little prince and I must say he's definitely the king of this casle now! He reigns on high with his queen Pinky. Both are happy and healthy and I couldn't have gotten a more amazing pair of felines! Love and purrs!!

ZOEY CHOO
If you're looking for a nice older kitty who is still very outgoing (and very friendly), I am your girl! I am a very sweet cat who loves to get attention and lay in my comfy beds. I am absolutely a love bug to the humans, I adore attention and seek out people regularly to make sure they know I am ready for pets. I also like to spend a lot of time in my beds or in the humans beds taking a nice nap. Sleeping in the window is another favorite pastime of mine.

I am not a huge fan of the other cats here, but they are alright as long as they don't get too close to me or my favorite beds, and I lived with a dog before so I am not too worried about the dog here as long as he stays calm around me. I would not want to spend time with any playful cats or cats who wouldn't leave me alone, I want to have my own space and I don't like to play with the other kitties, just with my teaser toys. I really just want to have lots of time with the humans!

I am a very petite and sweet older lady who would love to have a nice retirement home where I can follow my people around all day. When the humans aren't around, I love to lay in the window and watch the birds. I love to come out and greet my foster mom with some meows and headbutts when she comes into my room, and if I am really lucky she will play with me with my teaser toys (they're my favorite!). If you are looking for a needy and sweet addition to a calm house with people to give me lots of attention, I hope you will ask about me!

Notes from Home
Zoey has been home a little over two weeks and she is one special little girl. She is affectionate to everyone and routinely rides around on my shoulders during the day. She is a very neat eater and has used the litter box well. She is very talkative and expresses when she wants food or to go outside on the sun porch. She rejected everything from her old life including her bed and toys. She has come a long away after her first couple of days.

Zoey has been diagnosed with an intestinal parasite and a blocked tear duct. She is being treated for both.

Zoey is part of the family. As I write this, she is sitting on my shoulder purring. She is a wonderful little lady and we couldn't be happier with her!

ANDROMEDA
Hi,

I've been here for a couple ofweeks now and I am out and about in the house. I tolerate the houseful of females but they are rather old...and sort of boring. The dogs...I'm quite curious about those two! I'm an active (accomplished high jumper), playful, and foster mom calls me Sassypants.

I do weave in and out of her feet and follow her while chatting away. I just want to be sure she gets the instructions correct...thats all! I don't care to be picked up--but love to interact with you!

I am definitely a tree dwelling type of girl....want to see things from above. I'd probably enjoy a playful brother. If not, you can play with me with that toy on a pole...I can jump several feet and land on all 4!

Traveling...I tolerated the 8 hour transport to my foster mom in North Florida really well so FL, GA, SC works purrfectly.

Love,

Lemongrass

Notes from Home
03/19/2012: Andy allowed Sheila to pick her up and hold her for a few minutes.

Sunday March 4, 2012 - Andy has been adjusting slowly, she will rub against my legs & allow me to pet her with my foot, but still can't touch her with hands. She just LOVES playing with the feather cat toy and jumps at least 2 feet off the ground when chasing it.

We allowed her out 2 days ago and she has been exploring the house and other 4 cats. Yesterday she had a hissy/growly standoff with Mai-Thai - the lilac point. Mai-Thai so intimidated Andy that she hasn't come out of the room today yet.

So, progress and setback. In other words pretty normal for cats getting to know each other.

WE LOVE HER!

March 17th - Andy continues to make strides forward. She has been out & about and now comes into the main house multiple times a day. Her 'sanctuary' room is still top of her comfort zone however. She has stopped batting at our hands, but still is leery of a pick-up - although we have all held her briefly since we got her. When Teresa said she was a climber she wasn't kidding! The other day we went looking for her and finally a small meow drew our eye to the top of the kitchen cabinets. SURPRISE! She then jumped from the cabinets to a plant shelf across the aisle and was just so proud of herself. Pictures of her are enclosed.

March 26th - 1 month anniversary. Andy is on the floor rubbing against my leg as I type this. She is doing beautifully as are 2 of the other cats. The last 2 still get big tails and hiss when they see her but no overt aggression. We put Andy's collar on her last week - it has her chip info and and identification tag with name and numbers - all our cats wear one. Andy acted as if it were no big deal, so we expect she had worn one before.

Her latest 'toy' is the DVD drawer as it moves in and out! It is a hoot watching her stalk it and then jump back when it comes out. And so we just move it in & out, in & out again for her.

Andy is now using the regular litter pans so we have done away with her small one. As a matter of fact she rarely goes into the safe room anymore. She prefers to sit on a chair in the breakfast room from which she can survey her dominion (and watch for the other cats). And she still 'vultures' us from the top of the cabinets.

In short she is adjusting marvelously to us as are the other cats to her.

April 12th 2012 - Andy is now a full-fledged member of the family. She is first at the food bowls, and first for midnight treats. And the other cats don't seem to mind! She is also an educator. She has taught Mai-Thai how to climb up to the plant shelf. Well, maybe it is because Mai-Thai is chasing her, but the result is the same. Andy still isn't a lap kitty, much to my disappointment. She allows herself to be held, but leaves at the first opportunity. BUT - she comes to me when I call her name, and she rubs against my legs and sleeps near me in the family room and dining room. She sits with me on the bed when I am dressing. In short, she has bonded with me and we are now one. Ah JOY!

April 24th 2012 - Andy continues to integrate. She is now playing (briefly) with Nikko & Mai-Thai. Run, chase me, hide, and minimal hissy/growly now. Ashes couldn't care less, she growls at them all and just lays there as if to say " I see you and you'd better see me". Koko on the other hand is still being a pill. Came home and there was a furball in her mouth (NOT her own) so we know she & Andy are still working out their issues. It is so hard not to side with one or the other, but in the long run they each have to work it out. Sigh . . .

Still working on making Andy a lap cat. Working being the operative word there.

2 May 2012 - tonight Andy jumped into my lap - one second she was nowhere to be seen, and the next she is in my lap.Whereupon she laid down, purring. I WAS THRILLED! ! ! ! ! She soon jumped off as a noise startled her, but she came right back up, and in fact did it a third time. And tonight she & Nikko were play-chasing around the house.

May 14th 2012 - today was Andy's introduction to her 'rolling' furrever home. We left for Maine this AM and although we had had Andy in a vehicle before, none of us were sure how she would react to an RV. Not to mention Koko and her in VERY close proximity. And with no above-cabinet places to hide.

She was a real TROOPER! ! ! ! Not a peep, no nervous running back & forth, just curious sniffing, and a meow (quiet) when we stroked her. She would disappear for a time - we think she got on the bed - but was back soon asking for more scratching. And the other kitties respected her space as she did theirs. Whew! That is a real load off our mind. Miles of smiles ahead!

6-6-2012 - Andy continues to adapt to her 'rolling' home. Now that we are parked for the summer she has discovered American Goldfinches darting back & forth in from of HER window. She has adopted a space on the desk as her own so we have provided a fleece blanket for her there. She can lie on it and see out the window and keep up on all the happenings with the gulls & crows.

I did have to make one small modification to the window screens after we discovered Andy had learned how to slide them opened, and was half-way out onto the awning arm (8 feet off the ground)! So all screens are screwed shut. Let's see you figure that one out!

All of the kitties are getting along splendidly except for Koko who continues to be contrary. But even those episodes are getting fewer & farther between.

Andy has begun leaping into my lap for scratchies! ! ! ! ! ! Yippeeeeeee. Patience, patience.

8-1-2012 - Can't believe it has been so long since my last update. Andy now sleeps on the bed at (on) my feet each night, and naps with me during the day. She jumps onto my lap for loving frequently but still can;t be considered a 'cuddle' kitty - yet. Andy & Koko still have their moments but calming collars seem to have made a big difference. All the other cats have accepted her unconditionally.

I mounted a hummingbird feeder onto the side window of the RV and Andy considers the birds her cat TV. She chatters at them and puts her nose nearly on the window - and the birds couldn't care less. I am trying to get a picture of them but so far I haven;t gotten a good one because of light problems etc. Will keep trying.

9-12-2012 Six month update, and all is going swimmingly. Andy has adapted well, albeit she is still very skittish. Her battles with Koko have calmed down, and although they are definitely not BFF's, they are coexisting. Andy sleeps hard up against me most nights, and at nap time. In fact. she is my shadow most days, where I go, she isn't far behind.

We are still on the road and will be until around November 1, but are looking forward to returning to the Meezer Express Network. MEEZERS are the best!

9-26-2012 Andy & Beakie are now playing together, as are she & Squeeky. Hide under the chair and bat bat bat seems to be the favorite sport, although the 'nightly race-through-the-house' reindeer games are a close second. Andy now comes on my lap whenever I am seated and loves neck scratches.

10-16-2012 - On our way home and Andy rides in my lap most of the day as I am driving.

02-26-2013 - Today is Andy's 1st anniversary of coming to her furrever home. And what a year it has been. She came to us a frightened, VERY nervous kitty. She still is twitchy, but she has settled in quite well. Koko still is her nemesis and I don't expect that will ever change. They just do not get along. Fortunately Andy is much more agile than Koko, so the tops of the kitchen cabinets remains her sanctuary when needed. Squeeky and Beakie play with her with Beakie still getting big tail some times. And Ashes leaves everyone alone - go away kid don't bother me.

As I write this, Andy is on the TV table next to me busily watching what I am doing. She follows me like a little shadow, and naps with me on the bed or nearby on the kitty condo if Squeekie has arrived first. Andy is a real chow hound (cat?) and manages to muscle her way to the food bowls with the best of them. Curiously, there seems to be a truce at the food bowls, each allows the others to eat with no noises. And when it it nightly treats time, you can hear her coming from wherever she is! Me first Me first Mommy!

We have not yet been able to trim her back claws. She just doesn't like to be confined at all (largest understatement of the decade - she makes the Tasmanian Devil appear comatose by comparison). However this doesn't seems to be a problem with us or furniture. Well, I have had a few 'tracks' from holding her when she wanted down NOW.

Andy fell in the pool the other day for the first time. She was coming around the corner of the orchids and did not see Squeeky. SURPRISE - and up and back she jumped right into the water. She swims really well, and had no problem pulling herself out of the water. But allowing us to dry her off was another matter. No way were we going to get near her, and so she air dried in her own time on the towel we put on the kitty condo's top perch. I think there was probably some embarrassment involved as well as being surprised!

We are blessed to have this beautiful lady come live with us. She wakes me in the morning and meows me to sleep at night. She is a joy.

06-05-2013 - Andy's chief nemesis, Koko went to the Rainbow Bridge in mid April. The change since her departure has been dramatic. Andy now rarely goes up on the cabinets tops (she can't in the RV) and she has stopped her hissy growly at Beaky. As a matter of fact they have been playing chase me through the motor coach for the last couple of days. Andy continues to jump on my lap at night. She prefers that I don't pet or scratch her rather she is content to just lie on my lap and purr.

This afternoon we had a real breakthrough when both Beaky & Andy slept on the bed with me at nap time. In the past Beaky has chased Andy away when she would jump on the bed at nap time or during the night. Today when I woke up, there they both were, near but not touching and quiet as churchmice! I was so happy!

February 26, 2014 - my second furrever day anniversary! Hello all my friends at the VA SRC. This is Andromeda dictating a letter to you. My Meowm and Paw call me Andy; I know, it is a bit of a diss but they mean well. I suppose it is really OK after all as, as TS Elliot says, cats have 3 names anyway, and NO one knows my third name ( as it should be). And I quote:

"The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey—
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter—
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum-
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover—
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name."

I have added 2 new pictures of me. One on my throne (the dash of the RV) and the other chillin' with Beakie on the passenger seat. I can't say we're BFF's yet, but we're working on it.

Days around here are full of excitement: napping, eating, playing tag with Squeaky, and lounging (regally I will add) on Paws lap at night whilst he watches the moving picture frame on the wall. And yes, he is now allowed to stroke me if he likes - it seems to make him happy so I allow it. I am still easily startled, but it has been weeks since I laid opened Paws leg with my claws. (Allow me to interject here Andy, that I am SO happy that you have left my legs alone since shorts season is just around the corner).

So as you can see, I am blessed to have found such a good furrever home. (We think so too Andy).

TTFN - Andromeda

February 26, 2015

Hello from Sunny Florida! It's Andromeda again on my third furrever day. I can not thank all of the Siamese Rescue people for finding me such a good home! When you found me I was scared (I know, cats aren't supposed to admit that but it was true) and I wanted nothing to do with people. Since coming to live with Meommy & Paw, I now actively go up and sniff new people who come to my house. I sleep on Paw's lap and on the bed with him at night, tucked up against his ankles. He likes it when he can feel me there so I allow him to be touching me. The other 2 furrballs & I play and have the crazys at least once a day. Paw says I'm getting pudgy and that I need the exercise - we'll see. I've heard them whispering about taking us to the stabby place for our yearly . . . well, I don't want to dwell on what they do to me - it is NOT dignified.

So as you can see - I love it here and my hoomans are so much better off now that they have me. After all, I am a Siamese!

Year 6 of Andy's furrever day.

Andy has continued to be very skittish; any noise will cause her to be startled. And my thighs show her scratch marks as she vaults from my lap. That said, she is well accepted by the rest pf the kitties. She plays with them and they with her. She particularly likes the round ball track with the scratch pad in the middle. She naps with me and spends most of the evenings on my lap completely stretched out. I make a sound that she knows and comes on command to it. She has licked her tummy and rear legs nearly bare, but our veterinarian says the is little we can do as she DOES NOT take medicine willingly.

Andy has been a delightful addition to our menagerie and we love her dearly.

ANASTASIA
Do you want to start 2018 off on the right paw? I can help! I'm an extra special girl, foster mom calls it polydactyl because I have an extra toe on all 4 of my feet. Did you know that polydactyl cats were once popular on ships due to bringing good luck? I'm guaranteed to bring you more happiness than a lottery ticket, so ask about me today!

PS - I need a home with lots of human interaction, no more than 1 other cat, please . Also looking for a quiet home, so dogs or young children won't work for me.

Notes from Home
Hard to believe it has been two weeks with Annie. She was a bit skittish when she first arrived but left her carrier to immediately explore the room and happily eat and drink. That first evening home she surprised me by sitting on my lap. Her tail twitches a lot so I am sometimes left trying to discern if it is just nervous habit or if she is still a bit anxious.
The vet, who said some cats just move their tails more than others, was amazed at Annie's beauty, and the vet tech took photos for possible posting on their website as this little explorer climbed up the shelves on the examining room wall to find a high perch. Happily there was a clean bill of health and nothing broken.
Aside from one unfortunate event (let's just say the shower needed extra sanitizing) she has been good with her litter box. I was confused when she made some ankle grabs but I am working with her foster to understand she may be a bit bored after going from playtime in a foster home with other cats to being a lone cat with no other furred creatures to chase. There are more toys in her future.
Annie loves her cat tree and her spot on the couch. She loves watching the birds and squirrels outside and the bird videos on my iPad. As she relaxed in her new home, she became much more playful, and finally started using her petite voice! She is a joy to come home to and a beauty to watch in her bunny-like fur coat. thank you to all who took such good care of her.

Just a note from Gracie (f/k/a Pursi) to everyone who helped get her to her furrever home !! She is adjusting remarkably well, and loves her new windowseat birdwatching perch. We absolutely adore her. Thank you so much... Bunny & Jack

August, 2013. Gracie is just the sweetest kitty. Hardly even know she is around unless she begins making her little noises when playing. It takes both of us to keep up with Caspian as Gracie runs him up and down the hall for exercise and then they lay down for a nap. They play very well together and am so glad that I adopted 2 !!

February, 2016: Hello everyone ! Gracie Simoneau here ... so, Monique reminded us that I've been in my forever home for three years TODAY. WooHoo! Time surely flies when you are having fun. I have totally adapted to my household duties of keeping everyone on schedule (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and of supervising my brother (Caspien, the wedgie). I am also in charge of making sure my people get up in the morning by rattling the door or tumbling with my brother. Love it here and think I'll stay !!

April, 2017: Gracie continues to do very well and does an excellent job of keeping everyone on schedule ( as it relates to feeding time). She over-indulged in the catnip offerings yesterday at the vets office, but is otherwise happy and healthy. She is a great help with her very mischievous brother, Caspian, and we love her dearly.

February, 2018: My how time flies! Gracie and Caspian are doing fantastic. I think they are enjoying "middle age". Its been a short 5 years since they found us and they have blessed our household. They play and sleep together, and for the most part get along quite well! Love them both dearly.
