OZ (TGAP-THE GREAT & POWERFUL)
Nothing not to like here. I traveled, I purred. I had a bath, I purred. Had my manicure, I purred. Had a hairdo, I purred.
I came, I conquered, I purred.

Notes from Home
Hi Siri and David,
Oz has really settled in and has become a welcome member of our family. He gets along with everyone....the other cat, the dog, the humans.....my almost 6 year old granddaughter is crazy about him and they play well together.
I didn't change his name because it really seems to fit him! His is mostly called Mr. Oz or Ozzy....
He has perfect litter box manners and has a healthy appetite! All in all, he is a great boy!!
Thanks again for everything.
Judy Englehart
Wow! It's been two years already!! Oz is a great cat. He is loved by and loves everyone in my family. (Ok, sometimes he gets in little spats with Zelda, my son's 14 year old cat. They are just like siblings..sometimes they disagree but you can also find them next to eachothertaking an afternoon nap.) I am so glad that I adopted him!

AJ
I'm Apple Jack! I am a hoot! I've never met a stranger. I am outgoing and secure. I arrived at this place a headbutting fool. Nothing not to like about me. I am playful and have a small voice, that I don't use too much. I am a bedbuddy and still like to stretch out on the floor by myself. I love interaction and being petted. I'd be good with your older children too, I am SO very gentle. But they would have to mind the door CAREFULLY as I want to go where ever you go.
I need a home with another cat so that I don't get lonely. (dog may be a possibility, depending on personality)
My new MOVIES are up! Mama says that I'm too fast for a regular photo, but movies show me off really well.
Oh! You noticed my ear? Yep. But all you need to do is a bit of PHOTOSHOP and it will be perfect. When they hauled me off the streets they gave me the 'once over' and took my kitty-nuts off and tipped my ear. I did get some good food though. Then they were going to send me right back to life on the streets, when rescue angels stepped in. Mama says it's not going to grow back, but it's ok because it will be a reminder to us about how close I came to living a life without love and affection. It will be so good to come live the sweet life with you!

Notes from Home
AJ is doing amazingly well. He is very comfortable in my house and especially likes to sun himself in the sunroom. He hasn't noticed the birds outside yet. I'm surprised. He eats very well and uses kitty litter without any problems. He and Robin (my dog) are doing well. They are trying to figure out how to play with each other. It is fascinating to watch them try to adjust their play styles. They have a ways to go yet before they cuddle. It's hard to have kitty toys around because they are too small for Robin to safely have in his mouth and he does grab them and run. Therefore AJ has some playtime in the sunroom with Robin shut out. I love AJ and thank everyone for making it possible for him to come to my home.
Cathy
10/4: AJ has been with me for 1 month now. It is hard to believe. He is totally settled in. He finally met his Vet ( Vet had knee surgery and just returned to work). He was, of course, deemed healthy. AJ doesn't like being examined, but he loved the chicken pieces he got as a treat. He has grown quite a bit. I can see that he is taller and longer. He weighs 9.5 lbs! I have been feeding him three times a day, but may cut out his bedtime snack soon. He is, however, looking for food all of the time. I think this must reflect back to his time on the street. Last night was the first time I let him into my bedroom and he and Robin (dog) both slept with me. It took awhile for them to settle down, but then it worked out well. AJ is an amazing kitty and he is the perfect fit.
3/9 AJ couldn’t be more perfect! I am so lucky to have him. He is a de ar and he and Robin are great friends. Robin does chase him some and AJ takes it in his stride. At night they sleep on my bed together and often groom each other. AJ is very affectionate and responsive to occasional verbal corrections. He loves to play with running water and now has a kitty fountain. One day I found him curled up in the bathroom sink, so cute! I’m attaching that picture. He is a very handsome boy and has darkened in color some.

BRUNO
Oh, boy, foster mom says that I am so nice! I'm a big boy who is just full of love. I like to play a little. I love to be petted and brushed. I don't really like the woofers here, but other cats might be OK with me. I'm still letting foster mom know my social preferences. I could easily be your one and only, too. I'm going to get my toofers cleaned. I eat a special food to help keep my pee healthy (for now... I may not have to always), but I like it. I love to purr, purr, purr, and I'm really laid back. I like to talk to you too, just a little. I'm a big boy with a little voice. Foster mom thinks that's funny, but I don't see her point! I don't know what everyone is waiting for. I'm just about perfect! So ask about me!

Notes from Home
Bruno has been with us for almost four weeks now, but it feels like he's lived here much longer. He has adjusted much quicker than I ever imagined. Actually, within 30 minutes of bringing him home, he was on my lap. Last week he had a check-up with his vet, who instantly fell in love with Bruno too. Bruno loves to play, which is surprising for an old dude. I think he has toys in every room now! However, he is the second cat I've had who shows no interest in the laser pointer. Most cats go bonkers for those, but not Bruno (or Avalon). Such smart boys! Bruno sleeps with us every night, and it's clear he misses us during the day. We are so happy to have this wonderful big boy in our lives!
March 9, 2018
Bruno's been with us for six months now, and the adjustment is going well. We've been traveling more than we anticipated, but Bruno is learning that we always come back. However, after a rather emotional time apart for Bruno early on, we learned that having an overnight sitter is a must if we're away for more than one night. He is still sad if we're not home by dark, but not distraught. It's still early in our relationship, so we hope with more time he will grow accustomed to our routine. The extra daylight in the evening will help too.
Bruno is a very happy, playful, old guy! He loves looking out the windows, where the birds and squirrels like to taunt him. We got him a window perch for the holidays, where we find him most mornings.
He's a world champion snuggler, and loves to squeeze himself between me and the sofa cushion where he likes to be cradled in my arm. He's super playful, and lately has taken to swatting ankles when we pass by - sometimes he even goes for the knees!
He's been a real trooper through a minor kitchen floor remodeling. This boy just goes with the flow! We have him on a half wet/half dry diet, which he loves! He's no longer on a Rx diet, but his dry food is the urinary health formula just for good measure. He still "leaks" on occasion when sleeping, but isn't misbehaving or marking. I may have some additional tests run on his next vet visit just to see what's going on. I suspect it has more to do with the back leg weakness/neurological issues he developed years ago.
Bruno is an absolute treasure! We are so happy to have him in our hearts and home. He has been a true comfort to me!

Notes from Home
Buddy adjusted to our home and our dog within a couple of days. Buddy and Max are BFF.(best fur friends) This week we are taking care of my daughter's dog, Momo a shih tzu, but Buddy is having a little trouble adjusting to Momo's over exuberance but each day he does better. He's spending a lot of time on top of the dryer. Also, he has managed to finally succeed in jumping from the dining room table to the top of the hutch from there he was trying to jump onto the ceiling fan but we rescued him before the great leap. Buddy truly loves being out on the screened in patio.
Buddy has taken over our hearts and our home! He is very mischievous and gets into everything and every where. He's calmed down on his eating, I think he's realized that food is available and he's the only one that's going to be eating it. Speaking of food, he now weighs in at 10 pounds! Buddy loves his catnip and is a hoot to watch when he plays with it. I think Buddy has taken Max aside and said you may have been here first but now I'm here and I'm in charge! I've come to refer to Max and Buddy as Garfield and Odie.
Buddy continues to rule the house. He LOVES to be groomed which is a good thing since he's a copious shedder. He still continues to be adventuresome and gets into everything and anything. He gets up every morning at 3:30 AM, he plays with anything that makes noise in our bedroom knowing full well he's going to get booted out and the door shut on him.
05/15/2016 - Buddy is settling nicely. He's stopped shedding so badly which I wonder if the shedding was due more to nerves and anxiety than anything else. He does love to be brushed which is a good thing. I found a dry food that he absolutely loves, Orijen from the health food store (go figure). His only bad habit, which I'm open for suggestions on how to resolve, is he gets up around 1:30 AM every morning to play. At first, he wanted to eat at that hour so I fed him but now he just wants to be a pest, when he gets too bad I lock him out of the bedroom. I try to play with him before bedtime hoping this will run him down but so far that has not worked. Took him to the vet to have his claws trimmed, he was not a happy camper but the rest of the family members are! His under belly is turning a very dark black/gray.
08/30/2016 - Buddy is finally letting me pick him up and hold / cuddle him for more than 30 seconds. He is bounding well with both me and my husband, he tends to like my husband better. Buddy will now come and sit next to one of us on the couch but has not yet been a lap sitter. The waking us up at 1:30 AM has now worked it's way to 4:30 AM but he knows now that if I get up he's in trouble so runs and that's usually the end of it till we get up at 6 AM. Buddy is very dark now, when he lays on his back it looks like he has on a light colored no sleeve shirt and light colored shorts, very funny! I bought treats for Buddy, he loves them! He'll go sit in the pantry and meowing loudly till someone hands out treats for him. If the dog is getting a treat Buddy is right there next to him. He's maturing some, sleeps more during the day, and still plays with his toys.Cat nip is his favorite.
09/24/2016 - Well, six months must be the magic number since Buddy has finally accepted (I think) that this is home! He's now letting me pick him up, cuddle him and love him for minutes instead of seconds. He, also, seeks out my husband to sit on his lap or next to him on the couch. Buddy is still causing mayhem early in the morning (between 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM) so he still either gets locked in the spare bedroom or just locked out of our bedroom; I feel bad about this but we have to sleep. Buddy has also found Kittles! a cat treat. He goes into the pantry stands in front of the plastic container looking at it and meows like it's the end of the world. Funniest thing I've seen. He loves being on the screened in patio, will stay out there for hours at time. I've discovered he loves little dogs but not big ones. He loves his cat nip! Also, I'm sure you all know this, Buddy got a place on the 2017 SCR calendar; he'll be on the side bar for April! A star is born!
03/08/2018 - Buddy aka Buddy the Brat! He rules the house with no exceptions. He has settled in nicely, now sleeps all night long (thank heaven) even sleeping on the bed with me and Max curled up next to me. Last time I took him to the vet he weighed in at 11.5 pounds! The vet said he doesn't want to see him get any heavier than that. Buddy loves his treats! Maybe that's why he's gained the weight.
Buddy has become a little destructive this past year. I can't have fresh flowers in the house since Buddy immediately goes after them, chewing on stems, leaves, and petals. He also goes after one bunch of artificial flowers always taking the same bud out of the arrangement and plays with it but at least, so far, that has been harmless to cat and decoration. He also got on a rampage a couple of months ago racing around the house and ended up breaking an expensive glass lamp; scared him so hopefully he learned his lesson.
Buddy hates being put into the carrier so those times are at a minimum. He hates it so much that he actually tried biting me the last time but I managed and he got over it. He's very strong willed.
Buddy sure has a way of letting me know when he wants either treats or to go out onto the screened in patio. He also gets very insistent and louder with his "talking" if I don't move fast enough.
Buddy is still a climber / jumper. Often find him on top of the refrigerator or on top of the dryer. I have taken to removing all things off of all dressers because if I don't he will.
Buddy loves water! He gets in the shower as soon as I turn the water on and stays for awhile until he gets too wet. He'll also get up on the kitchen counter if I'm running water in the sink. Too funny!
In spite of all this, I love him!

ZUZU
I'm trying to be patient while waiting for my very own home. I'm not a little kitten like my buddies here, but I am a kitten at heart and run and play and get them to chase me. I love playing. I love people and am a great lap kitty and give lots of headbutts and purrs. I'm curious but foster mom says I am a pest at times but I love to supervise and I do an excellent job. .

Notes from Home
Here we are in 2018! Zuzu (formerly Opal) continues to thrive. What a character! She has so many voices. One day she was into mischief and I said: "Zuzu, why do you do these things?" I swear she said "I don't know." :-)
Another year has flown by and Zuzu is still doing great. We had one minor incident with an apparent food sensitivity but after a cortisone shot and switch to a limited ingredient diet, all is well. She has never met a stranger and welcomes all who come to the house.
Zuzu is still doing great. She gets along with her brothers Leo Trout and Chai Pep (aka Chili Pepper). I am thinking of getting her qualified to visit nursing homes. I think she would be a champ at it- loves people, loves attention, and nothing fazes her.
The pic is typical Zuzu. She think's she's found a loophole in the "no cats on the counter" rule. And how can I argue with that face?
March 2015
Zuzu's great. I am so pleased that she has lost 3 pounds since she arrived here (she was overweight). The vet was very pleased with her condition at her recent visit. Of course, she is still trying to convince me that I am starving her to death. :-)
Everybody who comes here loves her. She greets everyone and demands attention from them. She still fetches the little plastic balls with the bell inside. I have to throw it just right down the hallway or she will come back and scold me. So funny!
I am blessed to have three great meezers who all get along. All were cats that somebody else didn't want. Thanks to Siamese Rescue for all that you do!

BETSY
Hi, my name is Bitsy. Meowmy said she's already in love cause I'm such a cute, sweet girl. I've been here about 3 weeks now and showed Meowmy I like other cats as long as they aren't too aggressive with wanting to play.
I'm a little girl, only weighing around 6 lbs right now, and Meowmy thinks I'm just a little over 1 year old, so I probably won't get much bigger. If all goes well, I should be ready to go home around the 3rd week in January.
Meowmy thinks I'd do better in a quiet home without young children or a dog. I love to be petted and rubbed on, but am quite shy and timid, so you'd need to give me a chance to feel safe.
Ask about me and then we can figure out if I'd be a good match for your home.
Purrs,
Bitsy

Notes from Home
This little guy has stolen our hearts. He is so funny and lovable and entertaining. We have enjoyed watching him blossom into a fearless warrior who will attack anything and everything. He easily entertains himself with any toy and loves bugging his sister, Ivy. Luckily, Ivy doesn't let him get the best of her and of course, chasing each other through the house happens on a daily basis. He is truly a wonderful addition to our family and we are so happy to have him in our lives.
Wow, I can't believe how much progress Vinnie has made in 3 weeks. When he first arrived, he cowered in the corner and wouldn't even look at us when we entered the room, let alone pet him. He then spent a lot of time behind the couch and would run back to it whenever we came near him. But now, he chases every toy, explores the entire house, and loves to be petted. He easily entertains himself with any toy or shadow but he also loves to chase the wand around the house. He still bumps into things when he is playing but he is so focused on the toy, he doesn't look up to see where he is going. He enjoys chasing after his sister, Ivy, but she will put him in his place. He has the squeakiest little voice and he is starting to use it. He has jumped up on the bed with us at night but he doesn't stay. It could be because Ivy has taken over and sits at the edge of the bed ready to hiss at him when he jumps up.
Here it is six months later and this big guy has made so many changes. He is definitely doing better on his perception and isn't running into things as often. He is also letting us pick him up a little and has decided he likes it. He still tears through the house, chases his sister, Ivy, and plays with anything that moves. But he will also curl up in our laps and take a bath and he loves to lay on anything high. He definitely has made himself at home. He's our sweet big guy.
Wow, that year went by fast. He is definitely not the scared little boy we brought home who sat in the corner with his head toward the wall and his behind towards us. He greets us at the door when he hears the garage door and is so excited to see us. He loves chasing our toes, balls with bells, and his sister. He is also this big lovable boy who will flop down on his side to be petted. He is letting us hold him longer and we are even able to clip his nails since he loves to use anything and everything for a scratching post. He is such a wonderful funny boy who brings joy to our hearts.
Another year has flown by and Vinnie is thriving. He is our lovable, playful, curious, butt wiggling wild boy. He is definitely my little puppy dog as he follows me where ever I go and has to be the center of attention if Ivy or Sambo is present. Sambo joined our family when my mother in law moved in with us and the two of them love chasing or wrestling each other. They are so comical. Vinnie also loves to curl up on any pillow or lay right next to our legs at night while we sleep. He is such a long cat that sometimes when he stretches out, he takes up half of the bed. He is the sweetest boy and we are so glad he is a part of our family.

I want to talk to you. I will tell you all about how this adoption process works. I know - my new mum found me and followed the process and now I will have a great, new forever home.
Really, I love to talk. I talk to my food, to my toys, I announce everything I'm doing. Foster mom says I talk in sentences. And she said something about talking in Morse code, meow meow - meooow.
And that picture on the scale. I know we will need to limit my food, or better yet, we just need to play more.
I am ready to fall in love instantly with my new mum.

Buki has become family. I love her and so do all of the people who meet her. I am so grateful to David and Bonnie for their involvement and help through the adoption process.
Buki is doing very well....she is a happy girl. When she first arrived she a love but was not very active. Over time she has developed an interest in playing....and even running! She has lost about 1lb and is not exactly svelte but she seems to have more energy. She still really loves her laptime though and if I don't fit it in she lets me know....
She is the perfect cat for me. So glad we found each other and I found Siamese Cat rescue center.
