Notes from Home
Kevin Kitty stole our hearts from the first moment we saw him. He is adorable. He loves to cuddle and give head butts. He was a little cautious the first few hours when we got home, but not after that. We have not had any issues with his food, litter box, or anything! He is the perfect little gentleman. He loves to sleep in - in the mornings till around 8:00, and then it is time for breakfast. He loves to play and play and play. He has a mink tail that his foster mom gave him that he adores!!!! He carries that tail around with him everywhere he goes. It is so cute. He also loves his wand toy from his foster mom. If I leave and come back home he greets me with a lot of purrs, and some rubs, and then it is time to play with his wand toy. He has a cat condo that he LIVES in, but he will politely get down when you come into the room and go and stand beside his wand toy as if to say....come on entertain me! He sleeps with me at night, and I love it. He does not like to sit on your lap, but will lay down beside you. I couldn't ask for a better kitten. He is the best. He will be getting a little sister kitty named Paris in about a week.
Thank you siamese rescue center for changing our lives forever. Thank you to foster mom, Shirley and Marjorie for all that you did for Kevin.

LUCY
A little time, a little patience, and a soft touch and I promise to sleep with you every night and love you to the ends of the earth! I've had some scary experiences in the past but that doesn't stop my faith in the human race from shining through, I just KNOW it will be alright! Will you be the one to make it so?

Notes from Home
Lucy is doing great. She has relaxed alot. Still skittish and new situations make her nervous. She lets out a little mew when she's nervous (like the first time she crossed over Bob's big feet on the bed) but we talk to her and encourage her, and she'll usually screw up her courage and try things out. We still only get lovies on the bed, but boy does she love lovies on the bed! When we come home in the evening, Brother Butter greets us at the door. But Lucy waits till we go to change clothes and then she jumps on the bed for her hello.

Bad habits??? What bad habits? She has PERFECT manners. No scratching on the sofa, no jumping on the dinner table or countertop (unlike Butter!). Impecable litter box skills.

She has bonded to me. BONDED. Follows me around from room to room. Can't touch her (since she's not on the bed!!), but she's in the room with me. Comes looking for me if I dissappear for a bit. Bob and I both love her so much.

Notes from Home
Vivienne (Vivi) has adapted well to us and to our home. We're not sure where she spends the night, sometimes she's at the foot of our bed - could be anywhere. Her bathroom habits are fastidious - she expects (and gets!) her meals first thing in the morning and at 6 PM. She plays with various toys - her favorites are paper clips (which I now hide!) and a white electric outlet cover which makes a wonderful sound! She has several balls she plays soccer with. We've just bought her the circular toy that has the scratcher in the middle, surrounded by the moat with a ball that she bats around and around. Sometimes she lifts the ball out and plays soccer through the house so that we have to hunt for it! She's very clever!! Vivi is a very sweet, friendly kitty - she speaks in "chirps" - so cute! And not too often. She's gained weight even though we restrict her to 1/3 cup dry food 2x/day. She loves to sit on the porch and listen to the sounds and watch the wildlife. Several times a day she will have her madness fit and streak like a mad woman through the house! I put it down to extreme exercise! She loves to sit on my lap at night while we all watch TV - She does have the sweetest disposition and we love her a lot! My little grandsons have suggested (when they were going to get a new kitty) that I give them Vivi and then get another for us. Ha ha! She was so gentle with them - curious and friendly. She follows our house keeper around the house and helps with the cleaning - totally unphased by the dust buster or the vacuum cleaner! She still sometimes is skittish at sudden movement or noise - probably a carryover from her earlier life. Interestingly enough she does not seem the least interest in going outside. I'm so gl ad we have her - she's a delight - I talk to her all the time!

MIKA
Play, play, play, play. Purr, purr, purr, purr. Snarf, slurp. Squawk. Squee. Repeat.

Notes from Home
Mina is now named Mika, and little miss fearless is as rowdy as Rinn told us! She attempts to climb walls, she gets into everything...and then she purrs loudly and cuddles.

Mika is working on making friends with Pete, who seems a little distrustful of other cats right now. He's getting better with the little one. Our dog thinks Mika is great fun to play with, and our grumpy black cat is actually pretty accepting of Mika.

Mika is delightful, fun, and brings a lot of laughter with her!

9/29: Mika is curious, playful, quick and funny. She adores Pete; one of her favorite things to do is to go racing up to him, jump on him, and make him wrestle with her. We are so happy that Mika and Pete are part of our family!

Notes from Home
Ahhh Solomon. What can I say about him? He's a lover pure & simple. Loves everything & everyone. Constantly loves to drape himself over any object (including my legs) & has made it clear to everyone here that we are HIS pets ;) He's fantastic with my 3 & 2 year old, gets along with our chihuahuas, loves to see who walks in the front door, & is sitting on my lap as I type this. He did have a licking problem but has since recovered from that when one day I was vacuuming the couch & he rubbed up against the attachment. Apparently that is his thing & LOVES to be vacuumed. Strangest thing ever but it keeps the fur count down =D He's the best cat ever & him & Kabob are my fur babies. My life wouldn't be complete without them.

K-BOB
Looking for a ready-made family? Check out me and my brother, Solomon VA5749! I'm blue and he's seal - that way, you'll get a variety. I have a shorter tail, he has a longer tail. I talk a lot, he talks a lot. I like cat food, he likes cat food. I like pets and cuddles and so does he! And we really love each other. We're a great pair of Meezers, and we need to find a home together! If you have room for both of us in your heart, please click Ask About Me on us both!

Notes from Home
K-Bob aka Kabob has adapted very nicely to our home. He's so loveable & charming, cuddling up to my husband at night & stalking up & down him as if he was the great wall of china. At first he wasn't so sure of these toddlers running around but gradually he's become a permanent fixture in our home & a loving meezer in our hearts. We recently got two chihuahuas & he LOVES to play with them which surprised all of us since he usually is hiding under the bed :) Adopting him & his brother Solomon was one of the happiest days ever. Kabob is truly 100% a member of our family.

WINSTON
Do you like the senior gentlemen type Siamese, you know, the ones that purr right away, that talk to you in a real Siamese drawl, that are instantly adaptable to just about anything, that love to sit on your lap and tell you about their day? If so, then you had better ask about me pretty soon, because I'm one of those fantastic finds in Rescue! I'm going to have my blood panel checked and a rotten tooth removed this coming week, and after that I'll be able to reassure you about my kidney values(no signs of problems) and maybe we can look forward to a number of snuggling years together!

Notes from Home
I can't believe I've only had Winston (FKA Whiskers) for 6 weeks. He ingratiated himself with my shy resident cat, Samantha, with the ease of a diplomat. Happily, they are good for each other, as she's become more outgoing and he's become more playful. As of last week, they are having great fun with a new cat tree and entertaining me with their antics. Everybody who meets Winston is charmed by him, and I hope to get some photos of him in his new digs soon. Thanks to Siri, Beth, and SR for bringing Winston into my life!

Notes from Home
Thinking about adopting a geezer meezer? Great idea! My mom adopted me when I was ten years old. Here it is almost four years later, and I STILL act just like a kitten. Fact is, we meezers generally have a very long lifespan. But I almost didn't. I was so scared and upset at the shelter that no one could handle me. I was minutes away from the big E when the folks from Siamese Rescue came to get me. Now that I'm with my forever mom, though, I am the sweetest boy you could ever imagine. My mom says she can't imagine why I was ever dumped at the shelter. And she can't imagine life without me.

TESS
UPDATE 2/8/09: After a tough week with having shelter colds that we got right after we were spayed and neutered, Lucas and I have shown foster mom that we really do need to go home together. We are a VERY bonded pair and do everything together. Reese will be fine on his own, but Lucas and I are such close "family, my brother and me". that we really want to be together for the rest of our lives. What do you think about a cute little "instant family"? Love, purrs and many headbutts, Maicy

Hi - my name is Maicy. Will you help me sing, " We are family, all my brothers and sisters and me"............. - Lucas and I are littermates and Reese "may" be our father or another brother or an uncle or........who knows. We are three of the sweetest and loudest purring cats and kittens you will ever find. I LOVE to climb on to a human chest and curl up and sleep, when I not sleeping in the bed with my brother of course. We are pretty closely bonded and would make a wonderful pair to add to your "family". I am the tiny one in this family, but I don't let my brothers get ahead of me on anything. I can keep up with them. If you'd like an instant family, all three of us would be very happy to stay together, but we don't have to. Be sure to "ask about me", so you can be included in my song and so we can sing, "We are family.......". Purrs, headbutts and cuddles from Maicy.

Notes from Home
Maicy's name has been changed to Tesla, Tess for short, and is still a petite girl, but has grown significantly since she came home. We took Tess to the vet last week along with her brother, and the vet was very happy to inform us we have two perfectly healthy kittens who are ready to transition to adult food. They are now eating a mix of 1/2 kitten and 1/2 adult food, and are as playful and energetic as ever. They are fascinated with all the springtime noises...birds chirping and bugs buzzing, and of course joggers and bikers on the path behind our home. They are such good kitties, use the litter box every time, scratch only the scratching post, and have adapted beautifully to their new surroundings as if they had lived here since they were born. I hope we have brought as much happiness into the kitties lives are they have brought into ours.

UPDATE (9/18/09): Tess is the prettiest darling! Her voice still sounds like a kitten, very high, but so cute, and she chirps all the time just to say hello. She loves to sleep at my feet at night, and during the day, she is always curious about what mommy is doing (working at the computer, cooking) and loves playing with daddy with wand toys when he comes home in the evening. Her tabby stripes have gotten much darker, but her belly is still pink. Tess loves gazing into your eyes happily when you rub her back and chin. Daddy built a kitty condo for Tess and brother Rocky, which they LOVE! They sleep, play, lounge, climb, do everything on/in this kitty condo. Daddy built it himself because the kitty condos in petstores were not stable enough for daddy's standards. A 50lb dog could probably not tip over the condo daddy built! Tess loves to groom...she grooms herself, her brother, and sometimes even grooms mommy and daddy.
