Greetings! I am Emperor Ming, of Meezer Castle residence. I am the luckiest royal alive! I love my private suite, access to food and a human servant to pet me and love me. My foster Mom says I'm too loving to be an Emperor and she calls me Ming Ding. I don't mind, I happily dispense my head butts, purrs, chirps and kneading to anyone who visits me. I get so excited when I get visitors. Perhaps one of you will be my forever parents? See, I'm pointing to you!

Notes from Home
Life is good for Mr. Ming and Ezzie. They both get together very well with a mix of love, play, and sometimes a fight or two (never too serious). Mr. Ming loves to explore the patio at every time of the day and now as we can see, every time of the year. Day or night, sun or rain he just loves to be there. Now, even few inches of snow seems not be a problem to him. Just take a look. Only Ezzie is looking at him ..."did you lose your mind pal, it is cold! I will better go back to bed."
It is 6 months since we adopted MR. Ming!!!!
Since day one there were no problems with this big cutie. He is super friendly and with light personality. It is so nice to see how good he is with his little sis Ezzie. They sometimes take naps together and hug each other. Often, one is licking the other on the neck. We need to say it is so cute to see the two of them taking care of each other. Our favorite moments are when Mr. Ming is crushing with us on the sofa and watches TV. This is how he likes to sit… now you know why we cannot smile at him!
Mr. Ming is the King of the household! He is the “manager†and main “inspectorâ€. There is nothing that will miss his attention, from every single thing we bring home to, who is where and what they do. Mr. Ming will put his head inside every single shopping bag and inspect what is there. I am sure that he is looking for treads for himself. He loves to go to the patio and already meet every neighbor we share the patio with. He even has a “girlfriendâ€. One of our neighbors just loves him and Mr. Ming is not wasting any opportunity to be petted by her. He and Ezzie make great roommates and play most of the time very well. Only sometimes Mr. Ming seems be too strong for our little Princess, but we are here to rescue her. They both bring tons of joy to our home.

OPPS Foster mommy caught me in the Cookie jar again, hey I am only living up to my name. She told me that I needed to think about what a good girl I am and stay out of the Cookie jar, I am thinking..... but what I really want is not a cookie but a forever home. Notes from Home
Cookie celebrated her second year in her forever home today. We have to say, she finally has accepted her new forever home and has really settled in that last six months. She is a very happy kitty as she now spends time sleeping with her Meow Mom on the couch and sharing her Pop's lap in his chair while he watches TV. I guess if we had experienced what she had, it probably would take us some time to settle in too. :) We love Cookie very much and am glad that she adopted us. She enjoys traveling in our motorhome and is a popular "dash" attraction when we are parked. Jack and I want to thank Siamese Cat Rescue Center for providing the opportunity for us and Cookie to find each other.

It is with a sad and heavy heart that this update is made today. Our beloved Cookie passed away today. She will be missed very, very much as she sure made a positive impact on our lives. She was a loving meezer/kittie and once she "unpacked" her baggage she allowed Jack and I closer to her and shared all her love with us and Montana (our dog). She was greatly loved and she loved us in return. Our lives are much better because she came to our family. Cookie is a special meezer/kitty and she will live in our hearts forever. Thank you again Siamese Cat Rescue Center for finding her and allowing us to take her into our home and hearts.

I am all about loving! I'm a little shy at first and I'm scared to ask for it, but once you convince me you can give it, then I'm soaking it up! And if you need proof in the pudding, then check out my new videos! I like other cats as well as people, but I do want a quiet household and someone who will start me with small spaces and let me graduate to larger areas as I feel comfortable. Update on Kayla,
Kayla is settling in very well and really coming out of her shell. She has full run of the whole two story house and is running around it like she owns the place, as she does! She sounds like a heard of horses when she really gets going--I never thought I'd hear that very shy, scared girl running around so carefree and LOUD, but we are so glad she is! She still gets a little scared when she comes around a corner and sees one of us she isn't expecting, so she runs the other way, but quickly comes back when we stop and call her over for a pet. She is still occasionally scared by feet, so we think at some point she was kicked by someone (so sad), but think that will eventually go away, too. We think that if she was an owned cat she was strictly an outdoor cat as she had no idea about many indoor things, like the TV--she was terrified at first by people and heads on the TV. Now she doesn't even give them a second glance. She will come sit close to us if it is on an end table, but not on the same piece of furniture. I think with more time she will sit next to us, or maybe on our laps, but that will take more time and trust. I occasionally genltly pick her up--she doesn't care much for it, but doesn't freak out, so she may eventually like it. She is making great progress from where she was when she came to be with us and love her very much! Thank you everyone who was part of loving her until she got to us!

Notes from Home
This little girl is quite a character. We are settling into a routine. She greets me at the door and begins chirping the minute my key enters the lock. I came home early one day to find her sleeping, which was a relief and helped me determine that she simply knows my schedule now. She enjoys evening playtime and then quiet time resting on me while we watch a little tv. A couple of times she has played with the Friskies fishing iPad app and that is ever amusing. Even though she does not like to be held, I sneak a little holding time in on her when we first say hello in the morning and then she runs to the couch for lap time. If I do not sit down, but rather stand next to the couch, she is reaching for my hands. Her talking has increased, and when I talk on the phone she is guaranteed to talk over me. Thankfully my friends are understanding!!

Notes from Home
Sir Percy is a real sweetheart. He loves to lurk in his fort in the sun room or sleep on my bed. He sticks right next to me all night. It is very easy to work over him as he just plants himself on my lap and I can type, read, knit etc. Good litter box use. Not interested in dry food. He's eating only canned, no-grains varieties. Prefers fowl or beef. Not keen on salmon or tuna. Did eat some roasted chicken. Does not seem to be interested in eggs.
Floozy Anne is still bent out of shape about him. He does not challenge her in any way yet she still hisses at him or tries to swat him when they happen to pass in the hall or stairs. She does not receive any less attention than before he arrived, she just decided to be her rude Bulgarian waitress self.
Our mobile vet was just here. His teeth are very good. She put him on Otomax for a couple of weeks. There was some brown stuff in his ears. When that is done, I will use a vinegar water solutions which a friend finds effective for her dog's ear yeast problem. The Otomax may affect his appetite as his is a bit off his food since yesterday.
It is difficult to believe that he was a real stray. He must have had a human at some point as he is so lovey. Perhaps some evil people threw him out when his protector died or whatever. No problem - he's mine forever! Working on photo but he's always either curled up asleep or stuck on me so it's hard to get a shot of his face!

Simba (AKA BobKat) and his little sister Nala (AKA Lizzie) arrived safe and sound today via the Meezer Express (which was a two day trip all the way from Tennessee). Bless those volunteers!! The kittens came out of their carriers purring and headbutting us and were playing with their feather wand right away. Both of the kittens even slept with us on the bed right from the start!

Both of the kittens have settled in nicely; we can hardly imagine life without them! For Xmas, we got them a cat tree that is floor to ceiling in height and they absolutely love it. I'll include some of the pictures soon.

Simba and Nala now have the run of the house; we are kept laughing by their playing, talking, galloping and pouncing. But the best thing to have happened has been when the kittens wake up in the morning and go through their ritual of kissing and snuggling with us -- we have lost our hearts to them and can't imagine life without them now. No doubt about it -- the best thing that happened to us in 2011 was definitely finding our new family members! Thanks SCRC!

BOGART
I'm Bogart! Just in from living on a nice farm in eastern Connecticut since I was born. My cousin Thai got into this thing called Rescue, and they tell me that he's got a fur-ever home already. I had my ' education' on November 17th, and was a super good boy. Meown Trish says I'm going to be a lover-boy - I give her lots of wet nose kisses, particularly 'cause she lets me try all sorts of yummy foods - fresh roast turkey is my favorite.
See how mellow I am at the vets! Pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.
I'm missing my mom and brother, but Meown Trish tells me that they might get into rescue too. I miss all my farm 'cousins' - you'll see some of them in photos in my gallery - they don't look like me - they're black!
I've been exploring the downstairs, during my time out of my kitty play pen. Meown & Poppa moved me in my rolling play pen into a nice sunny room during the 'Halloween' snow storm in Connecticut so I could bask in sun while the power and heat was out for 5 days and nights. I stayed warm in my Siamese Rescue 'millie bed', and on Meown's lap under the afghan. Meown was so excited when the power came on - can't she see in the dark like me?
Now that house is warm again, I've been moved upstairs to the foster room, which has a big people bed, a little kitty house with my heating pad, and several windows from which I can watch the birdies.

Notes from Home
Bogart is slowly adjusting to his new home. His first few days with us he was so scared, but each day he gets braver and braver. he is absolutely adorable. I especially love the little noises he makes when he is about to be fed. Sort of a cross between a chirp and a meow.
His favorite spot in the house right now is in the dinning room, on a soft rug that we have. He loves to lounge out there during the day. Each night he curls up in bed with me purring away.
A funny "quirk" that Bogey has is he is afraid of our TV! Its up on a wall so he can't get to it to sniff it out, which is why i think it scares him. When its on, he slinks by it, constantly keeping one eye on it, and then runs out of the room. We have slowly tried to get him used to it by keeping the volume low and gradually increasing it. He did much better last night as he sat on the couch and watched a movie with us. Apparently he likes Steven Spielberg films!
1/5/2012 Update from Bogey: Last night I tried vanilla ice cream and it was delicious! Meowmy only let me have a little taste, but my eyes were as BIG as saucers while she ate it. She also gives me little pieces of baked chicken when she cooks it. I am really getting used to my house, i feel like i own the place, hoping from one piece of furniture to the next. Even my brother Harley and I are getting along a bit better. He tried to bathe me last night, but i was not having any of it.

Notes from Home
Ponyo is doing very well since we brought her home with us on Friday. When we first arrived in our apartment, we let her out of her cat carrier, and then she walked around the house exploring every nook and crany. After deciding that she had seen it all she made herself quite comfortable on our bed and took a long nap. When she woke up a few hours later, she came out to eat and sought attention. We quickly found out that she loves to be held and loves to play with all of her toys. During playtime, she rushes back and forth between our two bedrooms hiding behind the doors until we throw a toy mouse her way. If she thinks that we have stopped playing too soon she will meow for more.
Ponyo is also a very curious cat. Whenever I am cooking in the kitchen she trots over and watches what I am doing. She likes to explore the window sills, watch the birds outside, and hide behind the curtains.
She is such an affectionate, sweet, fun loving cat, and we are so happy to have her. I know that she is glad to be with us, too, because she acts like she has been living in our home her whole life. I will upload pictures in the next couple of days.
