Okay, so that might be me just a little bit. I am just drop dead gorgeous, but I do have my issues - certain needs, requirements, opinions, and so forth. I love cats but am not so sure about people. I do go with Boki!

TEYLA I am one of SCRC's early adoptions, back in 2004, and when I was returned I came with a bag of angry. I've been here now a year and a half but still haven't unpacked I'm afraid - no idea what happened to me all those years I was gone, but I guess it wasn't pretty. I first went to a foster home but was not making much progress then went to the adoption center where it was discovered that I really do not like other cats. I lived there about a year and just stayed to myself either up high on things or in my cubbie. Now I am back in a foster home and things are a bit better because it is quiet however, I still do not like other cats. I'm in pretty good shape for my age with earliest of kidney issues, so I eat Hills KD dry food, and Proplan urinary health wet food. My habits are good but I have been known to overshoot the litterbox sometimes; I'm not an active scratcher but will use a sisal post. I will play with the turbo scratcher but I get pretty aggressive and angry with that feather wand. I successfully kill it every time. I've got to be honest I realize I'm not very adoptable but one can always hold out hope. She very much enjoys lap/cuddle time. She recently had a dental so feeling much better. She is in early kidney disease so needs special kidney food which should give her many more good years. She is fine with other cats if they don't bother her too much and is fine with cat friendly dogs. She is not very playful with toys. Snoozing is her favorite pastime. Trina has some arthritis in her back so walks with an odd gait but gets around well on her own terms. Can jump on to a couch or comfy chair and can manage some stairs. She prefers to get on your lap instead of you picking her up.

JAMIE

Through no fault of my own, I now find myself back at Siamese Cat rescue. This is the 2nd time I've had to move because my owners could no longer care for me. You see, my first dad died, and my second mom had to go into a nursing home and I wasn't allowed to go with her. I'm a big, soft girl with no teeth, but as you can see, that doesn't stop me from eating.

I've adjusted well to the other cats who come and go and as long as they respect my space, we do ok. I'll hiss and walk away if they want personal contact. I'm contented to lay in my heated bed, or roll around on the floor. I'll sometimes come to Meowmy for petting, and let her know when I've had enough.

My blood work showed I'm healthy, but I do, at times, suffer from a pancreatitis attack. It's under control now and I'm now eating a special food that I like and helps keep it under control and some will come home with me to get you started.

Won't you consider a mature girl like me?

I am playful. I love that go cat, cat catcher toy and chasing balls around the room. I love other kitties and would prefer a gentle natured one that will respect my personal space but also will play with me. kittens are fun to play with as long as they are polite because I don't like to be pounced on.

Although, I am still not sure about people touching me I really like to sleep in bed with my person. I snuggle right beside your legs. I will tolerate being wrapped in a towel but don't like being held.

I know that I am not that perfect lap cat; I just need someone wanting to rescue me and give me a chance. A local person who I can meet first.

WOOKIE How did such a cutie end up at the shelter? Foster mom says she thinks I might have gotten there with the help of the underside of a car. She has not scolded me for getting my pretty white shoes or head greasy. Whew! Nice lady. I had a couple medical bumps in the road so I am not going to be available for an undetermined period of time. October or November is realistic. I have developed ataxia from unknown cause, and I had a very high fever for a couple days more recently. I got my rabies vaccine and boy was that tough. My condition is guarded and will carry long term health questions.
