LAKOTA
After a rough year, I am a new boy!! I am ready to go to my forever home and take control immediately.
I'm a great traveler, and actually enjoy the car. I like to talk to my toys in the Patented Meezer Caterwaul, but I don't overdo it.
I like to lap sit and am a real snuggle bug, but I also have been known to play chase roll around like a goof.
I would like some servants to keep me occupied and serve my needs.
I love playmates, but they cannot be timid cu I may chase them too much.
I have perfect litter habits.
I am leashed trained and would make am excellent therapy cat! (I even have my very own harness.)

So why haven't you clicked yet?!

I love to play and rrrrun and play with toys! I'm enjoying life here in my foster home, and I'm learning and growing... oh, and did I say playing??? Yes... wheee. I talk just a little, too, and my purr is grrreat! I can go to a home with sister Quinn or if you already have a playmate for me, that is cool, too!

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Mochi on his 8-year anniversary! He is doing well. Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with diabetes, but so far we have been able to control it with dietary changes alone (no more dry food!). Mochi is my couch buddy when I watch movies or read, and he loves getting new Chewy.com boxes (both for the cat food inside and the empty box). He's still not crazy about my other cat, Romeo, but they seem to have declared a truce.

THEODORE ROOSEVELT
No jokes about my jelly belly just because I like to eat. I am Jelly Bean because I am so sweet and yummy. That is me on top licking my lips. I promise to entertain, purr, kiss, and give you a jelly good time. I should be ready to go home about Dec. 20.

Jelly Bean was named Theodore Roosevelt for a short time. It became apparent early on the our Jelly Bean was going to be a big lovable fella!!!! The family tried out all sorts of names, but "Big Tasty" was the perfect fit. We like to call him Bigs, Or Bigsy. Bigsy is a lovable smooshy teddy bear. We are so blessed to have him in our lives!!! We can't believe it's been a year!

5 week update on our little Smokey. She is doing very well, and has become the queen of the house:) She likes lots of attention, but also plays with her many toys, bringing us gifts, or knocking them under all the furniture. She sits on her perch in the sunroom window most days, enjoying some sun. She will come over to sit on anyone with a blanket on the couch though too! She loves all of the homemade blankets that we have; courtesy of my Mom (crocheted and knitted). She is getting better with our 7 yr old who obsessively dotes on her. Smokey still isn't quite sure what to make of the fast moving, loud talking Hannah, but is welcoming to soft pets and brushing. She even sits on Hannah sometimes. She sleeps with us every night, and is like a 10 pound log on our legs, keeping us warm:) She seems to think our bed is now HER bed, and will not move, only dig in or get on top of us if nudged. She loves head rubs from my husband and myself, and talks to us often. She likes being held, and seems very happy here.
We have taken her to the vet, and were told that she's up to 10 pounds, and shouldn't get any bigger....as in, don't let her get much bigger. The food situation seems to be the only thing that we haven't completely nailed down yet. She vomits sometimes after gorging in the mornings, when waking up. She sleeps all night with us, then is ravenous in the am, and eats very quickly. She is missing some teeth, and seems to swallow without chewing. We had a cat growing up like this, a Siamese, with bad and missing teeth, that could only eat wet food, and vomited often, so feel sympathy for Smokey. She reminds me of our late cat in that way. We try to limit her food to certain times, as we were told to, per her foster mom, and are still trying to find the right mix of wet and dry to curb the vomiting and the begging for food:)
Smokey had been a wonderful addition to our family, and is very much loved by us all:) Thank you to everyone at Siamese Rescue for bringing her into our lives!

7/6/15 6 Month Update
Smokey continues to be the queen of the house! She's doing well, and is a regular member of the family. She continues to beg for food, but that's because I can't leave any out for her. She will just eat and eat if I'd let her. The vomiting is sporadic, but due to her not being able to chew well because of her teeth, so we try to work with that. She's not missing any meals....looking rather thick and happy:)
We have been busy with summer camps for Hannah, and gone often the last few weeks, so when I'm home she follows me around wanting attention. She definitely loves her people. She loves to be brushed, held and petted. She rubs our faces and is not shy about looking for attention. She's been doing well with Hannah also, but hides when the girl scouts come over. She likes my parents thought, and will climb right up on my Mom and ask for attention.
We just adore her, and are happy to have had the opportunity to adopt her! Thanks again!

12/14/15 1 year update
Smokey is doing great! She's quite thick and very happy. We still have to disperse her food only at meal times, and she still vomits sporadically. She LOVES her people. She is constantly sitting on someone's lap and rubs their face for attention. She is playful, and enjoys her toys, meows her crazy meow as she carries them around and throws them to play with them. Hannah and her are besties, and she continues to adore my parents when they come over. She's scared of the doorbell, and thinks it means the girl scouts have arrived....then runs upstairs to hide:) Otherwise, she loves all blankets and laps, and continues to rule the house. She is much loved. This year has flown by! We can't thank you enough for our spoiled girl!

WILLOW
Need a friend to be there to remind you when you should take a break from the computer? That's me! I'll help you de-stress by insisting that you pet me. Did you know that petting a cat can lower your blood pressure? It's true. I'd like to be your one and only feline princess. Got dogs? Great, I love to play with gentle dogs. I also love to watch lizards and squirrels outside. If you want a kitty who is sweet and knows how to have fun, I'm your girl.

Willow is such a delightful little Lynx Point. She amazes me with her athletic ability, great appetite
and overall sweetness. Today, for the first time, she took a nap on my lap - what a furry bundle of joy!

12/14/2015 Willow is now living happily in Arizona. She continues to amaze me with her athletic
ability! She is currently adapting to the presence of an eight month old Tuxedo (Cody) and they are making positive progress. She and her buddy love to watch birds from the screened porch and chase
Da Bird around the house.

Notes from Home
WOW! Siamese Rescue tells me I've been with my mommy & daddy for 10 years!! (uh.... is that a long time?) It must be because mommy tells me that I'm starting to look my age. (Appawently she hasn't looked in the mirror lately.) Things are going great; I have everything I could possibly want: food, love, food, nice house, food. Only pawblem I've had is that a couple of years ago when I was getting my teeth cleaned the vet did blood work and found abnormalities. I got an ultrasound done and we found out that I have only one working kidney. The other is atrophied to the size of a pea. But I don't understand all that gobblety-gook so it's OK; I'm happy. I have 3 sisters and a dog who thinks he's a cat. We all get along great. One of the other cats is a low white chocolate pointed snowshoe.Mommy says she is more like a Siamese than a Snowshoe and calls her the poster child for Feline ADHD. That's pawfect for the rest of us because anytime something gets knocked over, torn up, or thrown around the house nopawdy blames us! That's cool. Mommy is including some pictures for me. One, of course, has to be the bathroom. Foster mom Shirley had me isolated in a bathroom when mommy first saw and she has learned to accept it's my second home (until she started keeping the door closed.) I have lots of other places to sleep all over the house, often already occupied by another cat or THE DOG. My favorite place to sleep at night is mommy's face. It's not real soft but I hang over on the pillow!

SUSHI
Hi!! I'm Sushi!
No, no, you can't eat me for lunch.
Hey, how come no one is asking about me? Gee wizzers!! I'm such a chatty plus-size girl. I love to be with my person. I like to beat up on these two boy cats I'm out with sometimes. So I'd like to be your one and only.
Now I am a bit on the sassy side as well, as I like to give love-nips! So Meom says little kids are a no-no for me. Also I have a little tummy issue but that's under control.
Do have room in your home and heart for a super companion like me? My Meom will tell you about my needs. I promise to be your best buddy!
Ask about me so we can get to know each other better!
Chirpy-chirp, Sushi

Notes from Home
Sushi is doing fine, everyday she feels a little more comfortable with us. Since she is an older cat we do not really know her background except for her time with her Foster, Carol. We are just letting her decide what she wants to do, when she wants to do it. Also, we are slowly figuring out how she likes to be petted and how she does not -- NO belly scratching, NO stroking of paws -- which I am trying to do a little more of so she gets comfortable enough for me to cut her nails. We will get on the same page soon.

When I took her to the Vet last week, (second visit to my Vet since adopting her) her blood sugar was 228 (down from 393 and 428) The Vet was pleased with her progress and left her dose the same because she says lots of the time the blood sugar will continue to drop slowly over the first few weeks. I guess we cannot ask much more. Sushi does not mind her insulin shots -- as suggested by my Vet, she gets them while she is eating, so she is distracted.

My husband and I enjoy having Sushi in our home, and we believe she enjoys us.

CAZZI
I'm finally out of the prison Foster Mom calls a foster room and able to show everyone what a great little girl I am - sweet, affectionate, no issues. I even purred through my bath ! I just love the other cats and even curled up for a nap with one of the geezer ladies this afternoon. But I love pets and rubs and chin scritches even more - just can't get enough of them. I'm also not bashful and will even show you my new scar and shaved belly if you want to rub it too. I usually talk in a tiny little voice but don't be fooled - the meezer voice is there when I want to use it. Foster Mom says that in two words I'm "A Keeper". Because I' love to play and romp with the residents here, Foster Mom feels I'll do best in a home where there's at least one other cat who can be a buddy. Purrs and headbutts, Cazzi

Notes from Home
02/06/2015 - Well this is a really long overdo update on Cazzi. Cazzi has been with us for 10 years now. She was such a shy little girl when we brought her home and it took about a year and a half but she really came out of her shell. She has turned out to be the sweetest loving little girl. Health wise she is doing great and everything is in normal range. She loves her catnip toys and napping by the pellet stove. Although she stills gives her brother Milo a hard time on occasions, they are getting along just fine. If I had to describe cazzie in one word it would be comical. She just does funny things and always makes us smile.

12/12/15 - It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Cazzi. Late Tuesday afternoon Cazzi lost the use of her back legs. On the advice of our vet we rushed her to a nearby emergency clinic. The vet there told us she was suffering from Feline Aortic Thromboembolism. The vet was very kind but honest. She said most of the time she can suggest treatment options but in this case she couldn't. She said Cazzi was in a great deal of pain, her back legs were cold and the kindest thing to do was to euthanize her. Although in my head I know it was the best thing to do, my heart is broken. She was my little buddy and followed me everywhere. She had become a dear member of our family and she will be greatly missed.

12/12/15 - One thing I did neglect to mention. We did dhave Cazzi cremated and she now resides on the bookcase along with Loki.

MING SOO
I am friendly, talkative, cuddling and playful - I am all around great with dogs, kids, but would prefer to be the only cat. I do have skin sensitivities so need attention to my diet and may need an injection every now and then to keep my fur soft and shiny - but it's not an expensive one, and Aunt Siri is willing to help with the adoption fee to help you out if you're interested. While the skin thing is a little bit of a pain, trust me, I understand, it's not a big deal in the scheme of things and my purrsonality more than makes up for it! I sit eagerly by the door here at the Rescue Center waiting and hoping more than anything that the next person through that door will want me.... Goofie, silly, friendly, fun loving, weeheeeeeee that's me!!!!!!!
