Our Volunteer application is a multi-step process, and is dependant on whether you've adopted from us previously, as well as the Volunteer "Position" you're interested in. The first step for those that have not adopted from us previously, consists of completing a short online application; a phone interview, and signing a Volunteer agreement. If you've adopted from us previously, you'll only need to submit the application (it will put in your personal info for you) and sign the Volunteer Agreement.
You'll be able to request to volunteer for many of the positions immediately when you fill out the application. Since Fostering, Intake Evaluation and Interviewing require additional forms and/or training, you'll be contacted after the initial approval process to continue with these approvals. Be sure to talk to your Interviewer about any positions you are interested in volunteering for.

To become a volunteer please follow these steps:
Review our policies. Because our volunteers are representatives of SCRC, you need to be comfortable and agree with our policies. Please review a summary at Center Policies
Complete the online application (available below); print the Volunteer agreement; sign it and fax or mail it to us.
a) If you haven't previously adopted from us, we'll need to schedule a telephone interview with you. When we receive your application, one of our volunteer interviewers will contact you via email, if applicable, to schedule a 30 minute telephone interview. The purpose of the interview is to ensure that you understand our policies, determine if you have any special interests, skills or hobbies that might help us with placement. Also, this gives you an opportunity to ask questions about us.
b) If you have adopted from us previously, we will activate your volunteer record as soon as we can process it (typically 24 hrs). If you've requested to volunteer for Fostering, Intake Evaluation or Interviewing an Interviewer or Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you shortly.
Once you are approved, your information will be forwarded to the Volunteer Coordinator, your Regional Coordinator and/or Team Chairpersons who will contact you about opportunities as they arise. Keep in touch with us. If you move, change email addresses or other personal information, it is vital that you contact us at volunteers@siameserescue.org with any new information.
Please remember that we are also volunteers. Please be patient with us. Your application is very important to us but we are almost entirely manned by volunteers who process applications in the evenings and on weekends.
