You'd look like this too if someone kept waking you up from your naps with a camera in their hand ... jeez! I'm growing like a weed and having a great time playing with all the kitties here. I'm not quite sure about the thing that barks but guess she's okay. I 'm still waiting for a serious adopter ... how about you?

Notes from Home
Coco and Zeva finally made it to see the vet yesterday. They weighted in at 7.25 and 7.31 pounds respectively. And they got a glowing report, are doing well and everyone at Del Ray Animal Hospital thought they were beautiful.
Coco, usually the shy girl, yelled all four blocks to the vet. It's the most noise she's made since I got her. And she was anxious to come out of the carrier, didn't fuss about her wellness exam (she even purred while the vet was listening to her chest) and then stalked arund the exam room and yelled while Zeva had her turn.
Zeva just glowered at me and did not want to come out of the carrier for her exam. She didn't fuss and was happy to go back in the carrier and come home..

ELDEN
Hi everyone! I'm settling in here just fine. I'm a vocal guy because I have a lot to say. The food in this place is pretty good and I have a nice warm bed to sleep in but what I really want is my own forever home. I like people and other cats, I love to be petted and I love to purr. I can be your one and only or I can share you with another kitty or two. I can be playful but I'm definitely past that crazy kitten stage and really just want to be wherever you are. Won't you ask about me so Foster Mom can tell you all about me?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Elden

PS - I do have a slight cold so my eyes don't look so great right now but when I'm better in a couple of days they will be big, bright, beautiful and blue!
Notes from Home
Elden - now Sheldon is doing just great. He is co-existing peacefully with our golden retriever, Peanut, who is the perfect height for Sheldon to run underneath. Sheldon answers to his name now and seems to be very at home. It appears that the sticky tape on the second floor railing and his single leap from the second to the first floor has cured him of any more acrobatic aspirations. He is currently curled up beside me taking a nap on the bed. He is so cute that my son is constantly taking pictures of him with his phone. I believe that we are all quite happy with each other.

CO-CO
Busy little girl who loves to play, be petted, and follow her people around all day long! I have a great little voice - no Meezer yeowls but almost constant chirps and trills telling foster mom & dad how happy I am to be in a home instead of the shelter! I'm sweet, petite, and very affectionate. I'm also ready to go home today, so what are you waiting for?
Purrs,
Co-Co

Co-Co is doing really well. She's pretty comfortable around the house and follows me quite a bit.
She really likes her scratch posts and sleeping on her little condo. She'll occasionally jump up on
the side of my bed for a little visit as well. She always lets me know when it's time to eat too. She
gets very chatty! I'll put some more pics up soon.

SYLVIE FKA SYLVIA
I am finally out of iso so get "room privileges". My broken leg has healed wonderfully and I now walk with a barely noticeable limp. I can jump up on stuff just like a normal kitty. Foster mom thinks the limp will probably disappear completely in time. I am very loveable and a great lap kitty. I am a teeny bit shy at first with strangers but warm up quickly. I am a pettie girl at just under 7 lbs.
Give me (foster mom) an email to check me out. Sylvie
Notes from Home
I wanted to write to you to wish you a happy holiday season, and to let you know how Sylvie is doing.
Sylvie is a delightful cat to be around, for me and my guests. Even my boyfriend who isn’t too fond of pets has found games that both and she enjoy. The latest is a game where she will defend the throwing of balls of socks into the entrances of her cat tree. She doesn’t even seem to mind if you accidentally bean her with one. I can’t imagine any of the cats I had growing up playing this game – they’d all run and hide if you started throwing socks at them. She will run up to her goalie position if you begin throwing socks before she’s ready. Her favorite toy of all is a cat fishing pole with leather tassels on the end. She likes chewing on those, and really enjoys running around at top speed chasing them.

We’ve gotten over the yowling to come into the bedroom. Her favorite places to sleep are on top of the ironing board, on top of her cat tree, and in the bed next to me on the other pillow (where she always creates a nice nest of crème colored fur). She rejects all efforts to provide her with more comfortable cat beds, and when sleeping on the floor she prefers small boxes and paper bags.

She must always know where I am, and if I’m out of sight she will run to find me. She follows me around the house dutifully like a little puppy, and will respond if you meow at her and she’s in the right mood.
I’d really like to leash train her, as I think she might enjoy a tethered walk outside in my parents’ yard (they have a large piece of property that is not near a busy road). She’s very curious and perhaps a supervised visit outside might satisfy some of her boredom.

Enclosed are pictures of her helping me study (she loves to sit on whatever I’m reading, or getting right in front of the computer monitor and chasing the mouse on the screen. Pay attention to me!) and one of her enjoying the sun.

I hope your new year is off to a good start, and thank you again for providing me with such a delightful companion.

Sincerely,
Alicia

"Little Lulu, Little Lulu,
With whiskers on your chin
Always in and out of trouble,
But mostly always in.

Though you're wild as any Zulu,
And just as hard to tame,
Little Lulu, I love you-you, just the same!"

Little Lulu is a LOVER with a captial "L"! She wants nothing more than to be held and cuddled and will return that affection with headbutts and kitty kisses. A petite bundle at less than 6 lbs pounds who will win your heart with her constant purring, ladylike chatter and adoring purrsonality.

Notes from Home
Lulu has been with us for 6 months.... and we can't remember when she wasn't a part of the family. She is so sweet and patient. Lets my children carry her around. Loves to sit with us, sleep on the bed. She's so affectionate. Over time she's gotten more and more talkative. Greets us at the door when we've been away for the day. She still loves to chase her mice. My children bought her a new supply for Christmas. Even Dad is completely in love with her - maybe even a little jealous that he's not her favorite human!

The description we got from the foster family was exactly on track. She's exactly what we expected. I will definitely come back to Siamese Rescue when we're ready to add to the family, and have recommended rescue to a number of people. Thank you so much!!!

I climb, play with furry little mice and fly through the air after sparkle tassles, jump in laps and nuzzle necks. I am not a big talker, but I make up for it with big, loud purrs. I can even purr and eat at the same time. Foster mom says I need a muffler.

I think I have found just about every nook and cranny in the house. Foster mom lets me hang out with everyone. Love them all-cats, dogs, old ones, young ones.

Sure would like a bean of my own to snuzzle with at night. Don't you need a pillow mate?
Notes from Home
We've had Leo 3 years now and he is starting to become a nice, purring lap cat! He's kind of a man's cat as he seems to gravitate more to me and my brother.

Notes from Home
Tai came out of his crate as tho he has always lived here. He took to the cat tower and water fountain (suggested by Aunt Siri) immediately and instantly started purring. He spent the first nite and every nite since sleeping under the covers with me. He wakes me up with a velvet paw to the face ever so gently. He helps me brush my teeth and work on the computer and is very concious of when my lap is available for him to occupy. He is getting used to the dog and hissed at him at first, but the dog is deaf and now they walk by each other with communal sniffing.
Tai spends the day watching the birds and squirrels from the nest by the window while I am at work. His habits are spotless thus far. His favorite thing is to snuggle up and roll over and wait for tummy rubs. I never imagined that a cat could be so affectionate, with his constant head bumps and rubbing.
Tai had his first checkup at the vet, and all is well. He has settled in beautifully and seems as happy with us as we are with him. What a happy cat!

PUMBA
I originally came from a cat hoarder home with 40+ cats, so as you can imagine I didn't get much attention. But then I was adopted to a very nice place and a nice family. But life changed, and my adopter had to move from our big place to a small apartment, and I was NOT a happy boy with that change, so here I am back in rescue because she wants me to be happy. What would make me happy, you ask? My needs are simple - other cats, a patient and rescue-savvy person, and no confinement! I need room to run, as confinement makes me scared and upset. Once I get to know you, you can pet me with my feather wand - I just love feather toys! But I'm really a "cat's cat" and not a "people cat". I've come a long way in the 5 years I've been adopted, but I'm still not sure about all those cat/people relationships. If you've got a special wish for a buddy for your other cats, and have always wanted to work with a project cat, then ask about me. I'm a very handsome "old style Siamese" guy. This is an old picture of me (I won't come out long enough to let foster mom take a new picture - not yet, anyway) but I'm a bit darker and even more handsome now.

My adoption fee is sponsored - ask foster mom about that. And when she says a special home only - she really means that.
Notes from Home
Can't believe its only been 2 years since Pumba came home..... feels like I have always had him.

He is doing very well.... still loves his feather, but lets me pet him and brush him too.

He has the best personality, and is a sweet, sweet boy! I just love!

I sent a pic of my little Pumba-Loomba camping in his tent.... doesn't he look adorable!!

Hi, It has been a week now that Cinderella is in her furever home and I couldn;t be happier with her. She is so sweet and loving with me and everyone else in the house. She didn't meet our other kitty yet but I don't think there will be a problem.
I had her at the Vets this past Friday and he said she was very healthy and pretty. All the girls that work there make a big fuss over her.
She was kind of shy when I first brought her home but she has adjusted very fast. She is sleeping on my lap, purring up a storm. She even sleeps on the bed at night. She loves to play with her toys, especially with the balls, batting them all over the place.
And I want to thank everyone for all their help getting her. I think you all are doing a terrific job.
Thanks again, and will post another time soon. Shirley

Hi,
Well it has been 5 weeks since I have adopted Cinderella and she is just doing so great. She is eating good and she is just a wonderfull kitty. Her and our other cat, Emily are getting along pretty good too. They touch noses sometimes and Cinderella wants to play but Emily just likes to sit and look at Cinderella....lol. Cinderella loves to play. 2 of her favorite toys are the ribbons and the feathers, but I gave her an 2 old shoelaces tied together and she carries it in her mouth up and down the steps. She is so funny with it. She went on her first trip with me to visit my youngest son. He only lives an hour away. She did very well at his house. This was the first time that they seen her since I got her. My 6 year old grandaughter loved her and she was following my son all around the house. They have a lope eared rabbit and Cinderella could'nt figure her out. Their rabbit was almost as big as Cinderella.
I am taking her there again for Christmas as my son that I live with is going to Pittsburgh. I got Cinderella a Christmas stocking with a window to put her picture and I will put her name on it too.
Cinderella likes to sleep on the kitchen chair sometimes. I like when she curls up on my lap while I watch tv. She sleeps on my chair at night.
Well I guess that's all for now. I put some new pictures on too.
Bye, Shirley and Cinderella
Jan. 16,2010
Hi everyone,
I know it's been awhile since I wrote. Well I have Cinderella over 2 months now and she is doing fine. We had a good Christmas, I got her this cute stocking with a window in the front for her picture and she got some treats and some new toys. I got her one of those turbo scratchers with the ball that goes around, she likes it but her favorite toy is some old shoe laces that I tied together and tied a bunch of knots in. She drags it all over with her, it is so funny. She is getting along good with our other cat Emily, they even touch noses once in a while, it is so cute. While we were at my sons house we left their bunny out with Cinderella and she didn't seem to mind. I don't think she knew what the bunny was or maybe she thought it was another kitty. I was a little worried at first but it was ok. Cinderella went into the bunny's cage looking for treats and the bunny was smelling Cinderella's food. My son was here at my house the following weekend with the bunny and both cats didn't pay too much attention to her. Well Cinderella is eating good. Sometimes she sleeps in the bed with me and sometimes on my chair. When I am upstairs watching tv she lays on the bottom of the recliner with me. I am just so happy with her. I still like to go to go on your site and look at the kitty and I see that alot got adopted lately, it makes me happy to see that.
Well that's all for now. I'm putting new pics of Cinderella and friends on.
Bye for now.....Shirley and Cinderella

Notes from Home
I just wanted to let everyone know Mork is out of the spare bedroom and in with Tori and Ming. Mork is doing very well and loves the 8 foot (?) cat tree that he is the king of now. My vet is coming next week to give him another once over. Mork is the sweetest little boy and a good kitten. I am attaching some pictures and hope to send more soon.

It is January 2010.... time has flown by so fast. Mork has settled in very well I know his likes (food, LOVES WATER! we have taken baths together BUT not on purpose and rough play with my female kitten). Mork came to me at almost 5 lbs and is now a HUGE 11lbs. He isn't much into cuddling =( but we are working on that. He is too big not to cuddle with me. He likes to watch the snow fall and the rain stream down the windows or the shower door. He loves to eat paper so I try not to leave any cash laying around or bills unless I don't want to pay them and he just shreds them. He is very happy here and I assume due to him not being able to hear he is very very quiet which I dont mind since he can't hear me respond to his calls. He loves hard food more than soft food now and the 360 mouse I got him is just about on its last leg. It is hard for me not to continue looking for another siamese but for now I will stick with the 3 cats I have. My home is quiet and happy that all are settled and loving one another. I thank you all for what you do I love my kitties and want you to know Mork is where he is suppose to be and we wouldnt have it any other way (well I would like him to cuddle with me). More pictures to come in a few months.
