Sweet little girl, just thrown out a car window. Can you believe that? I am a little girl so it will be a month or more before I am ready for my new home. Foster mom says no longer than a day's transport for me so no farther than SC. More to come about me as I get settled in.
Foster mom says I must have another kitten or gentle young cat to play with. I need feline companionship even if someone is home with me. Thank you, Eberta

Notes from Home
I am sitting here right now with Basia chasing the curser on the screen. There is not one bad thing to report with this beautiful baby girl. We have taken so many photos of her, a few that I will forward to you. Basia has taken to Cindy more than me but is starting to relax a little more around me. She and George (our male) sleep on Cindy's side of the bed and Basia follows Cindy all around the house. She has some infatuation with the ice maker. Every time someone gets ice out of the refrigerator door, here she comes and sits and stares until you give her a cube to play with for a few minutes. She and George play quite hard during the day and have been known to go at it in the middle of the night. Play hard and sleep for several hours.
We could not have asked for a more perfect baby. She is getting really long and developing a brown line down the middle of her back. As I said, she was chasing the curser but now has fallen asleep in front of the screen as I type.

My fav game is "pick me up"--you know you come pick me up and carry me around? I like that game.
My fav color is irrelevant cuz I can't see so my vision is always good. I'm always visualizing you holding me, loving me, and talking to me.
My fav nickname is Baby Boy cuz that is what I am :)
My fav friend is you of course but with other cats and dogs I just walk right up and say Hello :) Nothing aggressive about me.
I am just a mushy boy who has nothing but a kind gesture for everyone I meet....furry or human.
Hee hee hee hee...Santa Claws is coming to see ME!! He knows that I've been a good, good boy....yippee!
Gotta go--write me soon though! I have to hang my stocking and see if I get any of those Catnip Cigars (hey they are addictive what can I say).

It has been four days since Monet has made it his forever home....he is adapting to his iso. room well...no hiding at all.
He loves to be brushed and petted....then climbs into laps to be petted and massaged some more!

HOPE
I had Hope that someone would find me and take me off the streets and it came true. A wonderful person watched over me
I had Hope that I would be Safe and it came true they found Siamese Rescue.
Now I have Hope that I will find my very own FUREVER home. Can you make all my Hopes and dreams come true?

Notes from Home
Hope is doing wonderful here. She's such a sweetie and certainly worth the wait. She arrived here on July 11 and overcame all of her milestones immediately. It's as though this has always been her home. She sleeps with me at night and steals my fruit loops at any given chance. There have been alot of people coming to meet her. Everyone loves her and she is so very affectionate...Headbutts for all!! She is so lovable and funny.
On 7/25, Hope went to get established with Dr. Prime, the Vet. We encountered a nervous terrior in the waiting room but Hope handled the wait better than me. When we saw Dr. Prime, Hope snuck out of her carrier, got her purring going full blast, and relaxed on the exam table. Vet just laughed! She said Hope is 8.02 lbs and a wonderful young cat. She is very healthy and has beautiful markings. The plan is for Hope to come back for shots in a year. They got along well. Hope is here to stay!
On 9/26,we took a trip to the Vet and Miss Hope is doing fine She crawled right up on to the scale and she weighs 9 lbs. now (gulp) Hopefully her weight will level off soon. The Vet said she's just beautiful. Along with this update there is also a recent picture of both Mom and Hope . There are also pictures of Hope watching the birds and playing around. Enjoy!
Christmas 2009 was my first together with Hope and our memories were such fun. I did not know how she would control her interest in the tree and all of the "dangly" ornaments. Despite what some of her recent pictures show though, Hope left them standing. She liked her new Christmas stocking and the new toys she received from Santa, Family and Friends. Hope is so sweet.

Words cannot begin to express how much we love Nellie!! She became a member of our family the minute she walked through the door. She is a very entertaining cat that loves to play and enjoys being around our two young children. However, she also loves to sit and snuggle in your lap while we're watching TV or reading a book.
She really enjoys sleeping in her Millie bed. We ended up setting it on top of the dryer in the laundry room because that's where she likes to lay. At night she likes to lay between us in our bed to go to sleep, but we've decided that 4:00 a.m. is her witching hour upon which she wakes us with a cursory head butt and nibble on the fingers. She then proceeds to play with the noisest toy she has and brings it into our bedroom, of all places.
She's a sweety and we could not have been paired with a better kitty.

YEA I am over my cold. It is great to have good food and someone to give me chin scratches. Which I just love. I have really mastered the rub rub-heatbutt move. I am a petite little girlie. I only weigh a bit over 6 pounds. II I have cute tiny white feet and that 1/2 got milk mustashe going. Foster Mom thinks it is very unique! I am just as good as gold. I love laps and helping you type on the computer thing so if you need assistants in that area I'm your girl. Go ahead and ask about me so you can get on my list.

Hi there! My name is Shak-u. My full name is actually Shakusham, which is an Innu word for 'snowshoes'. You know....the actual wooden snowshoes that you put on your feet to trudge across the tundra. You can see by my expression how thrilled I am to be named after Eskimo Footwear. Geesh. But, I'm an easy going, friendly guy in general, so it's okay. If you're in the market for some snowshoes this season...I suggest you look no further. Unless you try to strap me on your feet and slop around in the snow....we should get along jussssst fine!

Update 11/28/09 It is confirmed! I am younger than those beans thought! I am, well I KNOW I am 3 and a half, and once my shelter cold goes I'll give them a run for their money unless there is a warm lap to snuggle up to or a hand that is idle. I still have Foster Mum responding to my "hello" as I can say it very, very well!

Foster Mummy says that I'm a big beautiful muscular boy that is just too handsome for his paws and struts like I'm on the catwalk. My points on my feet just glisten.

Teddy has decided that all of his toys belong in my shower. Fixing breakcast can be a real chore, as he has decided that he likes my Cherios. He also decided to bring a potato chip that he found on the kitchen floor into bed to snack on while I napped. He cuddles up to me every evening (his head on my hand) and then he says HELLLOOOOO at about 3AM every morning.
Everyone that has come by to meet Teddy, has just fallen in love with him. He warms up to everybody - head butting them and walking around their legs - not an ounce of fear or hesitation - he even liked the cable guy and tried to help him with the cables. I have informed my son-in-law that when he comes over, he can bring nothing larger than a coin purse, as he has also fallen in love with Teddy.
Every day is a new chapter in my life. He is constantly finding new things to do - capturing my heart even more. :-)

Coco and Zeva finally made it to see the vet yesterday. They weighted in at 7.25 and 7.31 pounds respectively. And they got a glowing report, are doing well and everyone at Del Ray Animal Hospital thought they were beautiful.
Coco, usually the shy girl, yelled all four blocks to the vet. It's the most noise she's made since I got her. And she was anxious to come out of the carrier, didn't fuss about her wellness exam (she even purred while the vet was listening to her chest) and then stalked arund the exam room and yelled while Zeva had her turn.
Zeva just glowered at me and did not want to come out of the carrier for her exam. She didn't fuss and was happy to go back in the carrier and come home..

Hi everyone! I'm settling in here just fine. I'm a vocal guy because I have a lot to say. The food in this place is pretty good and I have a nice warm bed to sleep in but what I really want is my own forever home. I like people and other cats, I love to be petted and I love to purr. Notes from Home
Elden - now Sheldon is doing just great. He is co-existing peacefully with our golden retriever, Peanut, who is the perfect height for Sheldon to run underneath. Sheldon answers to his name now and seems to be very at home. It appears that the sticky tape on the second floor railing and his single leap from the second to the first floor has cured him of any more acrobatic aspirations. He is currently curled up beside me taking a nap on the bed. He is so cute that my son is constantly taking pictures of him with his phone. I believe that we are all quite happy with each other.
