Notes from Home
Two years have flown by since a very frigid and snowy weekend when we drove to IN to pick up Tropicana. (Not anything as bad as the current weather here.) She has remained such a sweet, gentle, loving kitty who loves nothing better than a meal and then snuggle time on the bed. She ADORES both dogs and often tries to get Jane to wrestle with her. If the wrestling doesn't happen, she's happy with a few doggy nuzzles. She is still on her special diet but has only lost about half a pound of weight. But that's more to love! We are delighted that she is home furever with us.

SASHA
Hi folks,

I was lost, and taken in by a Good Samaritan, who took very good care of me. I arrived at my foster Mama Rosa's house last night. I have all my things with me, my toys, blankets, foods. So, I'm feeling quite comfortable already.
I decided it is alright to purr, headbutt, jump on the bed and give Mama my belly.
I'm small, dark and lovely, and I want to be your baby!

UPDATE: 7/3/09

I'm a good natured girl. And I've got a special feature now:
I LOVE TO SHAKE MY TAIL FEATHERS!

It's just how I roll...

UPDATE: 7/16/09

i need a quiet home, so I can relax. Right now, with all the humans and cats around here, I'm sleeping with one eye open!
I could have a cat roommate or two, but the kind of felines that would ignore me, and not make me uncomfortable. I would not like BULLIES!

Notes from Home
Dear Siamese Rescue,

Sasha has become a real companion, especially to me. She relates very well
to John but sleeps much of the day on the couch or upstairs on my side of
the bed.

Mama Rosa read her exactly. She's a people cat not a cats' cat. She
intermingles very well but does not fraternize with the other cats.

She's very playful but primarily with me (as was our Seal Point in the past
and in just the same manner). She'll take off on the run looking over her
shoulder and if I follow she dashes all over and then hides and when I
approach her hiding place she's off again. She also likes to play peek-a-boo
from the top of the stairs. As for toys the knitted fish are her favorites
and she LOVES catnip.

She's very fastidious. When I go out to take care of the litter boxes she
comes and sits and waits until they're all clean with fresh litter then she
uses one.

Although she's very independent she is also a bundle of affection. She's a
purr machine. She sleeps touching me and if I stir she starts to purr and
speaks. She rolls over on her back anywhere any place now to have a tummy
rub. She's a head butter, a kitty kisser, an arm nibbler and loves her face
rubbed.

When I'm at home she shadows me. I go up and down the stairs a lot and with
her short legs it's a chore for her to follow but she does. In the evening
she is either on the couch next to me, or with her head on my hand or knee
or in my lap depending what works for me. In the computer room she's taken
up resting in a corner where she can doze but still see me if I leave so she
won't be left behind.

She looks out on the porch and sees the sun and is sure it's warm out there
but when we let her out she dashes back in. She was a Fl. gal I guess and
really does not like the cold. We have a security system and when it is
pleasant and we open the porch door the system says, "the back door is open"
and the animals know what that means and they come running!

She seems very happy. She has a great range of communication skills: she
quacks, chirps, burbles, and once in awhile (if her eating schedule is
disrupted) gives a real Siamese meow. She also employs lots of body
language. She chats a lot particularly right after I get home from work as
if she's updating me on the day's events.

We respect her independence but she is not lonely, she asks for and gets
lots of loving attention,

It took her awhile to really believe this was not just another transition.
Apparently she cried all the way from Florida to Savannah. She certainly
cried all the way from Savannah home. Once isolated, she cried constantly. D'Art
was so mellow when he arrived and settled into his isolation period in a
very relaxed manner. His two weeks were up but the turmoil that was going on
was starting to erode his confidence so after a week of upset (I understand
I did not abide by the rules) I cracked both doors and just let them decide
when they were ready to meet each other and slowly they did. She was still
angry for awhile, she obviously had to make a number of adjustments in her
short 7 years and this was just another one. Gradually as she felt more
secure she settled down and became the cat I described above. To this day
she does not like the bedroom she was isolated in and rarely goes in there.

She is a sweetheart and I thank Ronnie (our original Seal Point) for
developing in us such an attraction to Meezers. Ours give us great pleasure.

Every one of you folks who volunteer your time to this worthy cause are to
be applauded.

We applaud you, D'Aart. applauds you, Tilly our older cat applauds you for
providing her with a best friend, and yes Sasha applauds you. She knows that
despite all the trauma in her past, she's home for good now and she can
relax and truly enjoy it. It also gives us a chance to enjoy her.

OLIVER
Just arrived. More information soon, but here is what I've shared with fostermom. I do love people. I have been around an older child before and a big dog who was nice to me. Even though I don't understand what has happened to my home, I'm glad to cuddle in fostermom's lap and be comforted. I have already visited the vet for my wellness exam and I am a very healthy boy. Yes, I have noticed that I have a full, soft, gorgeous long coat. I can't help but be proud of my handsome looks. Some cats got it and some don't! I will have some beautiful pictures up very soon.

Notes from Home
Sebastian-Oliver is doing great! After arriving at his new home last Saturday, he was very timid and scared for about 2 hours and after enticing him with a treat he started coming out of his shell. He slept in my bed the first night! He has been eating, drinking, and haurinating and having normal bowel movements since the first night of arriving. We have been playing and bonding the past 2 days.

Thanks to all of the volunteers at Siamese Rescue. I have a pet that I really love. As I have told Willene, the organization seems to be a real top notch program that puts the animals interest at heart. That's what I like about it.

I will give further updates and pics soon. Tony

Chai is a wonderful cat! She is curious, loving, and smart. She has taken over one of my daughter's webkinz -- a cat -- and plays with it constantly. She throws it around, carries it from room to room, and just loves it. She also loves climbing the "cat condo" and doing acrobatics on it! Thanks to Belinda for being such a great foster mom, to Joan for getting Chai to us via Meezer Express, and to everyone else who helped Chai become part of our family!

COOKIE
OPPS Foster mommy caught me in the Cookie jar again, hey I am only living up to my name. She told me that I needed to think about what a good girl I am and stay out of the Cookie jar, I am thinking..... but what I really want is not a cookie but a forever home. A cookie is just while I wait. .I will follow you from room to room, I am a headbutting, purring, loving fool and I even get along with the dog here (but I am still the boss, after all a girl can not be too much of a pushover ) Please ask about me. Luv Cookie
Notes from Home
Well, Cookie celebrated one year with us yesterday, 2/7/2010 and she received a very nice note from Siamese Rescue Center. She wants everyone to know she has settled into her new home; enjoys travelling in the motorhome (in fact, she is a different kitty in the motorhome) and enjoys her friend Montana (they have become good buds). Her meo mom checked with the vet the other day and she does not have to have a checkup until August/ so all is well there. In fact, she has put on a little weight in the past year -- 1-1/2 lbs. She has completely moved in and accepted her forever home and we really do enjoy her!! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

So you've been pondering the current state of things? Me too! I was just laying here thinking of how I need a home---a home that can handle the interworkings of a fabulous flame boy------nothing NOT to love--my assets are too numerous to list at the moment....but ask about me and I can attempt to fill you in :)

Notes from Home
Super cool cat!! He's not a snuggler, but Theresa told me that. Now that I have figured him out I know how to give him affection without provoking him to nip me. He's just so beautiful and cute I want to kiss him all over. As long as he has his feet on a solid surface, I can scritch his head and kiss him while he purrs. He hasn't nipped in a long time since I figured that out. He lets me know when he's had enough. He kind of jerks his head to the side or just walks away. I love him so much. He does something to make me laugh and feel happy every day.

Well, today is Dizzy's1 year anniversary in his forever home. He is thriving. He has stopped nipping completely and he is relaxed and full of life. He has bonded with Zettie. They play and run all over the house together. What friendly, wonderful cat he is. He is friendly with everyone. He makes biscuits on his kitty beds, eats well, uses the litterbox. He is also a very smart cat! He learned how to beg for his treats on the first try, he figured out the treat ball in about 2 seconds, and he learned by watching my Maine Coon, how to drink from the faucet. He's a real treasure!

D'ARTAGNAN
I've settled in here and found a nice sunny spot. That's pretty much all I want right now - some peace and quiet, a patch of sun and some regular food. I don't think I like aggressive cats, and I'm trying to figure out the woofer, but other than that - I'm all good.

Would you like a cat that purrs and just hangs out? I'm really quiet and I may or may not greet you (food will ensure that I greet you, btw), but I'll hang out with you if you let me. Email foster meowm for more info!

Notes from Home
Dear Siamese Rescue -

D'Artagnan is wonderful. He's smart, he's funny, and of course he's gorgeous
and we adore him. He's linked up with the cat we already had - an American
Shorthair. They sleep together, groom each other and play together. He
relates to both of us equally. He and Tilly (the older cat like to sleep as
close to John's pillow as possible and they wait for him to go to bed at
night. D'Art. tends to be a bit mischievous and tucks his precious mice in
our shoes. They and the wands are his favorite toys. He loves the mat that
was in his carrier when he arrived and sleeps on it. He also favors a chair
in the family and of course it is now "his" chair. He sleeps on shelves and
counters as well as he likes heights. Perhaps trees were once his "safe
place." Once in awhile he jumps on an available chest while we are sleeping
and with his 18 lbs. it's a bit of a jolt. His curiosity is never-ending, if
he can't get in a cabinet, a drawer or through a door one way he'll keep
trying until he succeeds. He's a great communicator. One of the endearing
characteristics of Darty Darlin' is that this monster cat has a mew of a
kitten. When he looks up with that big round beautiful face and big blue
eyes and mews he gets anything he wants. That mew goes with his sweetness.
If he sounds spoiled he is but he doesn't abuse our weaknesses.

His latrine habits are impeccable. I'm sure that's thanks to Jeannie and the
wonderful work she did with him when he was with her. He also passed all
his medical requirements at the Vet.

He and the other Kitty we received from the Siamese Rescue, Shasha get along
fine. They've become adjusted to each other and intermingle regularly but
his relationship to her is not as close as he and the older cat. I think he's
the kitten she never had.

They all miss their hours on the porch. They do like the fireplace and
sprawl in front of it but I know they'll be thrilled when they can go out
again.

D'Art. brings us joy every day and we do so appreciate your work. So thank
you, thank you very much.

We love Phineas who we now call Finn or Finnie.. He has just fit into our family just wonderfully. He has alot of kity friends. Jeff who will be 15, Pepe who is 10, Lilly who is 5 then out Finnie boy. We adopted a grey kitten named Teddy who is now one and I took in a Lynx Meezer girl who was left behind when her families home was forclosed and we named her Melissa. She is a sweet girl who was already fixed. After taking her to the vet to be checked out and get her shots she now is a part of our 6 cat family. Not to mention Finn has a thing for Melissa and Melissa just loves Finn. Finn is such a lover boy he gets along with all his furry friends even our 4 year old Husky Sashi. Finn is the most loveable guy I know. And he shows alot of repect for Jeffrey who is the elder. I put a photo of Finn and his best buddy Teddy up. JINGLE
Just arrived with my mom, Belle. I'm still a nursing baby but I'm already showing a good appetite for the canned goodies! I'll be here a while since I'm such a wee one. More information soon.
Notes from Home
Hpnotiq here! I'm super fabulouso! I have 2 awesome feline siblings that are amazing fun (pouncing on them is the best!) While they're pretty cool, my bff is my siberian brother, Sabre. Meowma calls us "The New Age Mutt and Jeff", whatever that means! I am his shadow, and we are Meowma's constant companions. (She can't do anything without me, ya' know!)

Gransie M takes care of us when Meowma is away at work during the day, and she is oh so much fun to bother. However, she needs my constant supervision and direction!

I have mastered the art of being everywhere at once, and think that overall, life is grand! I get treats every day, and have 3 food/water stations, and a fancy pink Drinkwell fountain, too! I hop in the shower with Meowma everyday to stay clean, and if the bathroom sink isn't being used when you're in there, I'll curl up to wait patiently for you to finish so we can play!

Everything is a toy, and I fully believe that you can have fun anywhere, anytime! I make everything into a game! (Cleaning is especially fun when the Swiffer thingie is out- gosh, riding on that mop is an insane good time! I'm really good at dusting the blinds with my paws, too!)

I do have a few quiet moments throughout the day where I love to curl up with Gransie or Meowma to get my snuggle time. Meowma calls me her "Cuddle Muffin", and she smooches me an awful lot. Even though I'm a macho-man, I don't mind.

My blue fur continues to grow, and when I look at myself in the mirror, I'm quite impressed at all the fluff I've grown! I am pretty darn handsome, if I do say so myself. Meowma also tells me I'm beginning to look "manly". She says it really proudly, so I guess that's a good thing.

Anyway, I hear the bi-peds moving around- gotta go see what they're doing and see if they need any help! Big purrs, biscuit-making, and head bonks to all of you who helped me make the move to the beach with my awesome family. Ta-ta for now!
