CARAMELLA
Mama says I'm growing like a weed! I've been here at the Etiquette and Finishing School for Young Siamese for 16 weeks and look at me now. I'm polite, and loving and use my box like a pro. If you touch me, I purr! I can't ever get enough 'lap time'.When I find a lap, I squeal with delight! I really want a Mommy or Daddy to bond with. I love sitting upside down on you, like a baby.
We were a good group of students, but guess what? All my siblings went to their forever homes, and what about me?
I have a surprise for my new family too! I'm one of those amazing color changing cats! See, us Torties start out pretty white, then within our first year or two, our coats change to gorgeous shades of Meezer colors! Get lots of baby pictures of me, because I won't look this way for long! The best is yet to come.
Caramella.
5/12/05 UPDATE: Mama says I'm getting to be so lanky and svelte. All ready to go. I just need you!
6/13/05 I tell you, I'm changing colors!!!! Just look at the gallery photos of when I was a tiny baby. Look over my right eye. See? Don't miss the show! Pick me, and watch the whole thing.
6/29/05 UPDATE I heard Mama say to Daddy that she thinks I have a little bit of a 'lady beard' going on. Is that the reason I'm still here? Should I not find a home because of a little unwanted facial hair? I'm still dreaming of that furever home anyway.
7/11/05 Still here. I don't know why. I'm perfect. No issues, Cuddly, girlie girl. BUT, the good news is: I am now big enough to go to a home with children. I can take care of myself. I am a big girl now.
I would really like to have another active kitty to play with. I don't like being alone.
7/19/05 I have found a nice playmate, fellow foster Stellina. We have a lot of fun. It would be nice for us if we could come live with you together, I promise (mostly) to leave your other cats alone, 'cuse we have so much fun together. I think she needs me, and I need her too, so I don't get lonely.

Look what a pretty girl I grew up to be!

I am the Hostess with the Most-est here -- the Siamese Rescue Goodwill Ambassador to all of Mom's foster kitties. I get them settled in, introduce them around, and make sure they are comfortable while they are here.

I'm just about the sweetest cat you've ever met!

CONTESSA
Wanna Snuggle? Cute as a button, I'm ready for my new home now, let me know when you're going to invite me in!
Notes from Home
Crepe Suzette "Zettie" is a such a joy. She's only been here two weeks and she is already integrated with "the boys" Motzy and Dizzy (aka Disney VA6092). She is affectionate, playful and sooo cute!! I love her so much and so does Dizzy. They play together everyday. They run and jump and wiggle their butts when they hide from each other and then ambush each other. She loves to carry around any toys with feathers. She brings them to me in the living room and on the bed in the bedroom. She's a real gem.

Zettie continues to thrive. She is the boss of the household, even though she is less than half the size of her big male friends (Dizzy and Mazirian). She stalks and plays with everyone. She plays on her own, too. Favorite toy? The door mat...great for bunny paws! She purrs and gives me lots of love. After a year and after Mozart crossed the bridge she has started to curl up on my lap. She also comes for a cuddle at night on the bed with her fast, soft little purr. Then it's over to the Millie bed. I can't imagine life without my little Zettie!

KAJA
I purr, I turn my head to have both sides of my chin rubbed and I like to be held. I snuggled right into the Millie Bed my foster mom had ready for me. I was a stray and recently had kittens, but I can't tell anyone what happened to them.
Update:
Life is getting better every day, oh yeah! The good treatment here has given me a real lift. I get to be a girl of leisure, play with my toys and get lots of pets and rubs. A lap to sit on! I really like other cats. I can adjust to dogs as well as long as you can give me time and they don't get too personal. Those other animals will have to let me do lots of the talking. And I do talk. And purr, purr, purr. Things are looking up in every way!

Kaja is doing very well. She is the Queen here at Mountain Bear Lodge. She is John's Office Assistant, too! Can't print anything without her help!

Kaja has been with us 4 years and we adore her! She moved in without much bother and was sleeping in the crook of John's legs on the first night we had her! Or I should say, "She had us"!

SWEET PEA
I'm Sweet Pea and I'm so unhappy. I just lost my home and my mommy who is the only human bean I've ever known for the last year and a half. Foster mommy is trying so hard to make me feel at home here but I just want to cry :-( I've got my housemate Bouille here to keep me company. He's trying hard to cheer me up and tell me that everything is going to be okay. I just don't think anything is going to be okay until I someone makes a forever promise to me... I want my own person and my own home and I never want to be given up again. Not ever.

3/11/10 Sweet Pea is finally settling into our family. She has not nipped or swatted any of us this week. She sleeps next to my husband or myself each night and takes her afternoon nap on our bed. She loves to be petted and purrs sometimes loudly. She is quite independent and sometimes goes off to another room alone. Then, Beau goes calling for her. They run through the house and up and down the stars like a herd of horses. I think it is a game for them. She has jumped onto my lap and sat with me several times, for a short while. She often walks around and between my legs wanting attention. She also loves an open window for bird watching.

7/2/10 Sweet Pea is beginning to relax a little. She is my daughter's shaddow when she is home. When she goes to work Sweet Pea does come downstairs and around us part of the time. The other night my daughter worked over time very late (to 4:00am). My husband got up and saw that she was not home and sat up to wait on her. Sweet Pea walked the floor for over 2 hours. She normally has nothing to do with my husband, and usually scurrys away from him. Sweet Pea is NOT accustion to men. She walks by rubbing me and allows me to stroak her as she passes. Sweet Pea still bites my daughter but not as much and not as deeply. She is a very nervious cat. Her tail is always swishing. Nevertheless, she is imporving. She has made a 4 hour trip to the mountains with lots of family and friends in which she stayed mostly in my daughter's bedrooom. She talks alot during the drive. We had house guest last week and she did come around them a little. Just kind of looking them over and watching Beau interact with them. Sweet Pea has really bonded with my daughter. Sweet Pea and Bouille are fond of one another. They occaionally touch noses or give the other a lick. When Bouille is board and wants to wressal she gives him some hard smacks! They still race through the house and up and down the stairs like horses!

BOUILLE
Well...here we go again. I'm back in rescue through no fault of my own - my mommy got sick and couldn't care for me anymore. I miss her bunches. She adopted me when I had just been rescued from a feral colony 3 years ago and I was terrified of people. Now butter wouldn't melt in my mouth (or so they say).

Foster mommy says that I am a rare sight in Siamese Rescue... a 'fluffinator'. My fur is about three inches long all over and I'm just a big PUFF of fur. Even so, I'm not a big shedder and my silky fur never matts. I don't need alot of 'work' done, so I'll be ready to go home by Valentine's Day. Will you be mine?

Notes from Home
3/11/10 Bouille/ Beau has settled into our family very well. He loves to play and sit in open windows. He often sleeps with us part of the night and then sits beside the bed. When he thinks it is breakfast time, he shares my pillow and pats me on the cheek or sits on my hand and gently holds my finger in his mouth. He and Sweet Pea often run through the house, up staires and down like a herd of horses. When my husband sits in his recliner, Beau comes up to him and pats him on the arm. He will even bring him a toy to play with him. Beau is a very smart and sweet cat.

7/2/10 Bouille/Beau is now part of the family. He has traveled by car on a 4 hour trip to the NC Mountains and back for a long and busy weekend with many family members and friends with any problems other than getting into the carrier. We took a friends suggestion and bought a soft side carrier which opens from the top as well as the side. Just picking him up and putting him into the carrier was much, much easier and less trumatic on both of us! Shortly sfter the trip began, he began crying and crying and crying. My husband said to let Beau out in the closed car. I unzipped the end of the carrier. Beau came half way out to the carrier and stood up and looked around. It seemed to relaxed him. Then he backed back into the carrier and rode peacefully. He allowed the end to be closed when we were ready to exit the car. This passed week we had house guests which were only a pleasure the him. Beau, especially liked our friend Don, who wresseled with him.
My husband calls him a tank! When he runs and play it is all out. Running and sliding on the hardwood floor. He loves to chase a red light dot on the floor or the feathers on the end of a fishing pole. Sweet Pea is hesitant to play with him. My husband say it is like Bam Bam and Pebbles.

SAMANTHA
Sweet, young, affectionate little girl who gets along well with other cats seeking one forever home with a person or several to give lots of love! More to come as I settle in here at my foster home.
Purrs,
Sami
Notes from Home
Sam, my husband and I are one big happy family. Sam's relaxing into her surroundings and feeling more secure. Her curiosity is increasing along with her desire for more food. She runs and plays with her favorite furry mice and loves to sleep in the sun and my lap as much as possible. She's a talker, but it's a soft purr more than a meow. We love having her with us, she's a perfect fit. We're lucky to have found such a sweet girl. Thanks Siamese Rescue Center!

July 1, 2010. It's been six months of living with my sweet little girl, Sam. She's an amazinglly happy cat. We spend alot of time together, we play with a new mouse-on-a-wire toy that she loves more than the furry mice. I think she would love to have more play time and when the time is right I'll find her a doggie friend to wrestle with. I'll keep you all posted.

Notes from Home
Opal had her teeth cleaned and two extracted this week. Her day at the animal hospital didn't seem to faze her a bit. She definitely does not hold a grudge, she follows me every where, meets me at the door when I come home from work and sleeps in the bed with me at night. She is a sweetie!

Opal continues to do well, she is becoming more comfortable and is playing with her toys a lot, she really likes the laser pointer. She also loves to look out the window and watch the birds and soak up the sun.

Opal is such a fun cat! She meets me at the door when I get home from work and follows me around like a dog. I'm nor sure if she needs the security of knowing where I am or if she is just nosy.
I don't think the words "eats like a bird" apply to her any longer, she has a terrific appetite, but she only eats if I stay in the kitchen where her food is. She has also fallen in love with Greenies Pill Pockets. I use them to give pills to Koko, but she likes them too and has to have her treat when Koko gets his pills. If she ever needs medicine, it will be easy to give it to her :-)

STILLS
I have had a number of changes lately. First, I got taken along with a number of kitties to the shelter, and then put in a room with all of them. Along came a person from Siamese Rescue, got sprung and brought to a new home. It has been somewhat frightening, but I am getting used to things and surprised foster mom by purring and making biscuits. Now, I am ready to find my furever home. Please ask about me.

Purrs,
Stills
Notes from Home
I have named this beautiful Siamese kitty "Akio," which is Japanese for "Autumn Boy." He is learning his name and learning to come to it when he feels like it, which is most of the time. It is pretty clear to me that at one time, Akio was kept in a small cage or even inside of a carrier when he was at the hoarder's house from where he was rescued. So he is learning how to orient himself to the free space of a three-room apartment where he'll never have to live in a small cage ever again. He LOVES to play with the wonderful wand-toys that his Foster Meowmy gave to him as "going-away" presents. He has been here two and one-half days and this morning, he was clambering all over my lap wanting to be petted as he purred and made some biscuits. He is beautiful.

(update 10/17/09): Akio just had his 2-week health evaluation at my vet. He passed with flying colors and my vet and the staff all adored him. Akio has turned into the biggest "Mush Kitty" in all of cat-dom. He loves to climb up onto my chest and rub his face against my own. He loves to purr and make biscuits. Sometimes he lets me hold him against me while he sticks all 4 biscuit-making paws up into the air. He loves to play with the wonderful wand-toys that his Foster Meowmy kindly gave to him. And now, he sleeps regularly in the hand-made Millie-bed that she also included for his comfort. He gets along great with Chantee, my 14-year old tortie-lynx point geezer Meezer; no "tortitude" from her at all because he is so friendly.

Thanks so much to the people at SCRC for allowing him to come into my life.

12/29/09: Hello, everyone. This is Akio and Mommy knows that I am the one and only Biggest Mush-Kitty in All of Catdom. Not only that, but I've acquired a new skill, that of becoming a Flying Mush. How does that work? Well, when Mommy comes home from work, she sits down and calls me. And I know my name. I come to her feet and she gets ready. Then I crouch down for the Big Launch -- and I go flying through the air, straight into her arms, where she can catch me and hug me and we can make Mushies together. Once in a while, Chantee, my Big Sister will also come up. She sometimes thinks I'm a bratty "Little Brother" but I'm only trying to make friends. Truly! Chantee is an elderly lady so Mommy has to pick her up into her arms so she can be an Honorary Flying Mush. Then I leap up and the two of us Flying Mushes make Mushies together with Mommy. Life is good! Happy New Year!

7/1/10: Happy 4th of July! Akio again. It's been more than 6 months since Meowmy adopted me. I'm still doing Big Launches into her arms -- because as you know, I am the Flying Mush. Chantee has become BFF with me; we snuggle together and can wash each other. I get to play with many toys, including an old tennis ball that I love. But I still truly want to spend time pressing and "mushing" myself next to my Meowmy. I want to make sure that she still loves me and will love me forever -- she will never desert me or leave me in a cage or a room with 50 other cats, covered with fleas; this is where I was before I was rescued. Meowmy will take me into her arms and we go cheek-to-cheek as she holds me and I can make loads of Sweet Mushies on her shoulders.

(Last update: Jul 1st, 2010 10am)

SATCHEL
I get to snuggle under the sheets and purr at nighttime, and there's plenty of sunshine for me to lay in, and I've even got a foster brother or two. The woofer is okay, even if she does have ginormous paws.

I have slightly crossed eyes, and a luxurious Siamese voice you will hear often. If you'd like to know more about me, or would like to speak to me, send foster meowm an email - she says a lot of people are looking for a cat like me, though, so you might want to hurry!

Notes from Home
6/5: Satchel is home, and after a 10 hour trip, eating, rubbing, purring, head-butting and flopping on his side in pure relief and happiness. He was quite talkative on the way home, but was a gentleman. We are THRILLED to have him home!

6/30: It is hard to believe that Satchel has been with us more than 3 weeks. What a love! Finally, this morning, he stayed with us long enough in bed to enjoy our morning coffee...this is a big step for him because the dogs also share the bed with us for morning coffee. Satchel is slowly coming out in the house more, but noises, especially ones made by the dogs, still make him VERY nervous. He has started coming into the bathroom with me in the morning to help me get ready for school and drink out of the sink's water faucet. Last night, he woke me up several times to snuggle and share a pillow with me and even stayed a few hours. Georgie, our other kitty, has a major crush on him, but he is not sure she is worthy yet. Maybe over time they will become big friends. He is certainly making progress and we love him very much! More updates and pictures soon!

Santana is also doing quite well. He was also to the vet at the same time. They both love to go out on the patio and lay down now. At first they did not know what to make of the outside bu now they love it. Santana now weighs 17 lbs. The vet says they are both doing quit well. They will be going back in August to get their nail cut. They are still not sure of the car ride. Santana and Carlos have a home for the remainder of their life I would never give them up.
